Was in here briefly today with my wife. I just hung out with her. We were greeted with a "welcome in," upon arrival. I can't imagine that is official policy of Kohl's but it was nice to hear. Like all Kohl's stores, they have a little of everything. Clothing, shoes, housewares, bedding, bath, shoes, accessories, jewelry and baby cloths. Kohl's is never my destination but when I end up here, I typically buy something. Came to this location after a doctor appointment nearby. I had an Amazon return in my car and Kohl's has a kiosk dedicated to processing Amazon returns, as long as you initiate the return via Amazon first As you must show the barcode approving the return. Always easy to find, the Amazon kiosk is in the back of the store.p and there are signs pointing you there from the minute you enter the store. You are instructed not to package the item - no complaints from me - as they box it up and do all the hard work for you. Typically within an hour I receive an email from Amazon letting me know that the return was processed and credit issued to back my card. It's so simple and the best partnership, IMO. To incent you to stay at a Kohl's and make a purchase, they give you a 25% off coupon to use that day only. No way I can pass that up! I needed a mini food processor and a few other kitchen items so I wandered over to the small appliance section. I picked up a mini food processor, blender and crock pot and the coupon worked on all, even the two items already on sale for 40% off. Score! The store was practically empty, both in inventory and people. Needless to say check out was a breeze. Tons of parking out front. Located in a shopping center with other stores with stopping in like Home Goods, and several fast food places and gas. Easyish access to 26. read more

Great place to shop sales and use additional coupons! Their prices seem on the high side though. Prepare to wait long lines especially near Thanksgiving til January. You can shop online and pick up at store. They need more open cashiers and you cannot buy at the jewelry counter unless it's jewelry. Ample and free parking, low traffic which makes it safer walking through parking lot. The customer service desk is in the back of this store and they do have designated mens and womens restrooms which is great. I do like being able to return my Amazon purchases here and get a return receipt with a coupon valid for one week. Wish those coupons lasted longer than one week. read more

I was searching for a gift shirt for my granddaughter, whose birthday is tomorrow. I needed a size medium. Only smalls and larges could be found. A very helpful associate, Jacquline, helped me look, to no avail. She called the Beaverton store, but they were out of mediums, as well. I had some other shopping to do in the store. Jacquline took the time to check the back room stock and found ONE medium. She hunted me down in the store with the shirt. Ok, so I have always enjoyed shopping @ Kohl's. Usually they have what I am looking for and their prices are typically pretty reasonable. However now Kohl's serves a totally different purpose. I just returned a Halloween costume that was too small for my son. It was purchased @ Amazon.com but Kohl's now (and for a while now) accepts Amazon returns at a kiosk at the back of the store. They don't require the return to be prepped in any way. And the process is amazingly quick, unless there is a line. I have worked customer service previously for more years than I want to admit. This Amazon detail isn't quite the same but they (and Kohl's customer service associates) should be making at least $20/hour to do what they do. It takes a person with patience, concentration and even apathy to work in that position. People frequently have "bad days" and take it out on them, and usually end up with what they want, even if it shouldn't be warranted. Mad props to the customer service associates. read more

Waited in line to check out. My sister and I were planning to do our own transaction. The lady try to say to that coupon one time used due to different barcode numbers. I explain to her that my sister and I pay separately and the coupon states it's one per person. She said she understand but I feel as she wasn't listening. I state the reason and she just brush it off like she right and I'm wrong. I know how to use coupon, I been working in customer services for 13 years in retail. I didn't see her scan the coupon with my sister. I ask my sister for her receipt and double check. I told her the discount wasn't scan, and she act as if it don't work. The lady who wasn't helpful her name is Jennifer, a little heavy on the side with blonde hair pulled back prob in her 30s. I told her straight out that I want to process my transaction and walk my way back to customer service for addition services who would actually care to help me. I would just want to say if it wasn't Gretchen help over in customer services I would probably not come back to this location. She very very extremely helpful, patience and understanding. I was with my screaming nephew and walk back to get addition item in order to used my coupon. She was the older lady prob in her 50s, with brunette hair. I give is place 50/50 chance due to a bad experience and a positive outcome by finding my own help from others. read more

I have such the love hate relationship with Kohls. And this review is for me and my husband. I usually shop at the Beaverton location but I was determined to buy a Lorac palate I have coveted for months now but the Beaverton store has been out of that palate for that long. I needed to do a return, use some Kohls cash and while fumbling around online I was told two lies. The first lie was that I would be gifted a $10 credit for switching to online statements and the second that the Hillsboro store currently had the palate in stock. My husband and I had some time in between things and were going towards that side of town anyway so why not. Off we went but alas...no palate just like the Beaverton store though they do offer it online. I never received my credit for the $10 either so I figured I would inquire at the customer service desk. At this store it is hidden in the far back hidden. I was informed that nothing that happens online affects the store at all - ouch. Apparently this has been a constant nightmare for the stores FYI. The people are honestly pretty nice and try to be as helpful as they can. I decided to get a few Lauren Conrad rings (because Lauren Conrad rules) and a different palate by Bliss. (I just broke down and ordered the damned Lorac palate online with my latest Kohls cash btw) What I was not expecting is my husband's new found enthusiasm to Kohls...he found two shirts and a jacket for...no kidding...$23 after all the sales off - I did not even have a percentage off coupon for him. But we all know the store is like that. And really I cannot complain too much because it is hit or miss but when you get a hit, you buy like $600 worth of awesome clothing for $100. **WC** Kohls are pretty wheelchair friendly except for right at the front of the store with the non slip carpet they put down - it loves to hold my wheels but would be a breeze to motorized chairs. It at least dries my wheels off in the wet though so I can cruise easier when I am in. read more

On 1/5/19 went to the store to return a ATARI we purchased for the grandchildren for Christmas. Yes we purchased the item before Christmas on black Friday for a Christmas gift as most people do. Open the ATARI hooked it up does not work graphics all messed up and most games don't work. Tried to return ATARI told it had to be returned with in 30 days of purchase now how can a store offer black Friday sales for Christmas if the wont let you return them after Christmas. That is why big chain stores like KOHLS and SEARS and KMART are going under. That will be the last time we shop at KOHLS.... read more

This is a fairly decent department store. I primarily shop for clothing here. Selection is generally good and while there are sales ALL the time, some are better than others. Sometimes the place can get a bit messy, and I really don't care for that, but the selection is better than most nearby places (to where I live, Macy's is farther away and generally more expensive, for anyone who wants to comment) One thing they could change, is STOP asking if I want your credit card!! I am a bargain hunter and get great prices by waiting for 30% off coupons while sales of up to 50% are on. I pay $14 for $40 jeans. Same with tops, t-shirts usually only cost $8 and I get brand name shoes for under $50. Yes, sometimes you have to stand in line a little if you are in store. You can order a bunch to be delivered, try on and return to your locale store what you don't want. I just purchased over $100 in towels that would have cost nearly double for the same quality elsewhere, even on sale. read more

Good store. It is well kept and it's easy to find what you are looking for. Kohl's has everything constantly "on sale," which gives the impression that you are saving a lot of money. I overheard the manager asking the cashiers how many non-Kohls credit cards they had taken. They said 11 and the manager told them to get more Kohls credit transactions. I went up to purchase a t-shirt for 8 dollars and the girl tried so hard to get me to use it, it was really annoying. Stood at the check out counter to pay for an item. After no one showed I picked up their phone and called the office. Finally someone came out. Did they apologize for keeping me waiting..? No they were pissed I used their phone. They hadn't put a checkstand closed sign out. Did the lady who came out apologize? No. Said I should have known. She needs retraining on how to deal with the public. Not only did they miss a sell, they lost a customer. Maybe doing a make over isn't the answer. Try hiring better people. Oh I forgot. Looking for a pair of black slacks in preparation for a "I bet if I don't dress to impress for this, I'll look like an idiot" party on Friday, I went to the one place where I can get socially acceptable brand clothes at decent prices. I found the pants, tried them on, rummaged through the sale items in case a good shirt caught me eye. This process took about 15-20 minutes. That's how long my wait in the cash register line took. It appeared the first people in line were a snobby looking couple who neglected to do a price check in the customer service, so they insisted the cashier do it instead. This lead to the register having some sort of technical difficulty, and shifting many customers in line - myself included - over to the opposite register. And with the clusterfuck of people, and a few price checks for items in between, it took ages to pay and GTFO. I've worked in retail, and you can't fault two young women, probably no older than 22, for being overwhelmed at the amount of people waiting to pay, and then have integral machines cease to work. But somebody needs to take the blame for not making an S.O.S. call to geta third cashier up to one of the two other cash registers. I'll continue to shop here occassionally. But this experience flat out seemed a bit unnecessary. read more

I'm walking away with two brand new kitchen appliances, ten shirts, four pants, six kids toys, and a watch, all for 250. Handed 50 in kohl's cash to come back again in a few days to snag some free shoes. Hell, I'll wait in a line for an hour, wade through the junk, deal with inattentive staff (they were nice tonight tough) and plug my nose in the changing room again. I am not surprised to see another review with a similar scenario. I went to kohls and picked out some couch pillows and stuff for my new apartment. Everything else was "on sale," which means absolutely nothing there. They trick stupid people into thinking they're getting a deal. Go to Ross. The first time I tried to check out the manager was flirting with the only cashier and talking about customers that spend a lot of money there and how they need their business. I stood there in plain view, throat clearing and all, for roughly 8 minutes because there were no other cashiers on either side. So I put back everything I could get for cheaper somewhere else and went and sprayed perfumes until I saw an open register. Noticed cashiers whispering into the phone to each other on both ends of registers after obviously wandering between the areas wanting to check out. Played this game for roughly 12 minutes then dropped the few items I wanted to purchase right by the register, walked out and shopped at Ross. Kohls is a joke. I thought it would be better here since it was pretty bad in Nevada, but I guess not. read more

OK, so I used to live in Wisconsin for years--Kohl's started in Wisconsin so they are EVERYWHERE! And usually, you can get a good deal here on lots of stuff from pots to underwear... There's something deserted about this Kohl's. No one is ever in here. BUT, somehow when we came in to buy a couple packs of unmentionables (OK, v-neck undershirts for the bf...there, I mentioned it!) ALL of the packs of undershirts were opened up and at least one shirt from each pack was missing. You'd think a) a shoplifter would be at least considerate enough to unwrap just one pack and leave instead of one from each pack and b) Kohl's would take note and take some preventative measures. All around, I'd only recommend this store if you know exactly what you're going in for and have a reasonable amount of patience. read more

Apparently the real reason the songwriter shops at a thrift shop is that you can't buy men's slippers the day before Father's Day. The staff told me slippers are only sold during the holidays. This originally was going to be a positive review. The two cashiers that took care of me was polite and helpful. But then i had to complicate things. The pants i bought 2 days ago is on sale now and i needed to exchange it for a different size. So i had to go to customer service. That's not the bad part yet. So i go in and explain that i wanted to exchange 1 of the 2 pants that i had purchased 2 days ago before the sale. Purchase another one, and get a credit for the pants since they were on sale now. And there is a spend 50 and get a 10 dollar gift certificate. I know i know, very complicated. She quickly gave me an exchange but didn't charge me for the third pants. She was snippy about it but i didn't want to be dishonest and told her that there is a third pants and that she didn't charge me for it. She wasn't pleased but she rang me up, then i asked about the 50 dollars spent for a 10 GC. She goes you didn't spend 50. I go yes i did with three pants at 18.99 each. She goes that's not 50 dollars! i go yes it is, and actually it's about 57 dollars. She still says it's not 50 dollars but, she'll let me have a GC anyways. What the hell? you didn't give me anything i spent and earned it. read more

Why do I like Kohls? Well, after going to all the stores in the area like Kohls (ie. Target, Fred Meyer, Old Navy, and so on) I found that I liked the selection better at Kohls. For young girls the clothing is just adorable. Women's clothes and men's clothes are also very nice. I just love the house wear sections and you can find real great deals there on products they are trying to clear off the shelf. Overall, I have found good deals on many different products within Kohls. I enjoy shopping here. One issue I have with the store is that generally speaking, everything is overpriced to begin with. So when there is a sale, you are actually paying what you should have paid in the first place, The trick is to wait for the rock bottom sales and use Kohls cash coupons (which you get when you spend over $50). If you are a savvy shopper, you should be able to navigate through the store to find the best deals. Another issue I have, which I feel is minor, is that some of the staff needs better training. I'd say about 80% of the workers are well trained and very nice. But there are the other 20% who are usually young that leave a lot to be desired. My belief is if a customer asks you a question and you, as a worker, do not know the answer, you do not just say "I don't know...." and then direct you to ask someone else. NO. If you don't know the answer, you, the worker, go and find out the answer and report back to the customer asap. The first problem here is, of course, if I ask you a simple question that everyone who works at the store should know, then you should make a point to know the answer. Number two, if you don't know...don't go sending a customer searching around the store to figure it out for pete's sake! Stop what you are doing and figure out how to help that customer. That's it. I have never seen really poor service as described by some other raters here, but maybe I just went shopping on a better day...who knows. I have stopped shopping at Kohl's! This is a snake of a retailer. Their on line services do not work...everything from ordering, to paying your bill is "F'ED up and they don't care to fix it! Their loyalty rewards program is a scam, makes big promises but is short on providing the rewards. Employees are clueless, never the same answer twice. Budget store with cheap brands. yes you get what you pay for. On some of the major brand stuff, don't get sucked in to their buy one get one X% off deals. They are still overpriced. The Kohl's bucks rewards thing is kind of useless. You have to spend the 'bucks' very quickly or they expire. Maybe works for shopaholic types that are always shopping, but does not cater to frugal people that don't shop so often. Main complaint is that their solar building blocks most cellular coverage and they simply should fire their internet service provider (the company responsible for maintaining their wireless). Their wireless is consistently non-responsive. So bad you cannot even run a speed test on it. read more

If you go to this Kohl's and need to get a post sale adjustment because of a sale, don't go to Nicola (spelling?) she spoke to me like I was absolutely stupid, hassled me to the point of frustration only to tell me she could refund me the money I was owed and then gave me $8 of the $15. I asked how she got $8 and her answer "I did the math in my head" then argued with me that $8 is legit for a $15 adjustment. Then said "well the sale is over so it's not like I can walk over to see what the sale really was" like I was lying about a sale that ended yesterday. The clothing quality and variety of selection is good, and they have really good sales from time to time but overall everything tends to be really overpriced. Today I went in for a pair of sandals and after looking around half the store I found a pair and went to checkout, when I got up to there they had 2 cashiers and both where helping people so I waited then one finished up and when I walked over he said that he had something else to do and that the other gal would help even when I said I had cash and a single item he just walked away.
