A routine challenge I have at Target is the stashed go back carts in the plus size section. This is the first store that had cleared aisles and even on the busiest weekend. If you plan on using cash, don't ever come to this piece of shit store. They only run one actual register at any given time no matter how long the line is, and every piece of shit that uses it likes to buy 20 pieces of baby clothing at a time. And for whatever reason, it takes the cashier at least 30 seconds to scan and fold each piece. They discontinued cash from self check outs so they can punish you for using cash, by making you wait 20 minutes to purchase one item read more

I love Target and especially love the Target in Sherwood. Not all Targets are the same. Sure, they have the basic layout and items, but how a store is managed really makes a difference. This store is always clean, items are stacked neatly on the shelves, the bathrooms are usually clean and maintained, and service is friendly. All contribute to a fantastic shopping experience. I have a strange emotional bond to this Target store. I moved here 4 years ago from St. Petersburg, FL and in Pinellas Park, FL there is a Target store that is set up IDENTICAL to this one. The first time I walked in I was feeling very homesick for FL and I cried because it was like deja vu! Strange thing about this store is that 4 years later it still has that effect on me. I haven't cried except for that first time, but it makes me feel like "home," even though OR is so clearly home for me now. THAT said ya'll, it is SO clean here, the staff is incredibly friendly AND they seem to have better stock than the other 2 stores that are nearby to me. I LOVE this Target. The last time I was here, I dropped in for a quick return and the customer service guy that helped me had such a funny, witty, sense of humor and it was unexpected and refreshing. I believe his name was Justin. However, this is my new store. 100%. I LOVE the Dollar Spot and for whatever reason, the stock they have is always FAR better than my former store. This is our go-to Target that we shop at whenever we need to purchase important necessities when we stay around the area, especially in Newberg. It's only a 15-20 min drive for us up the main highway from Newberg and its location is very central to many other surrounding businesses. The store is new and always clean. There is plenty of parking for everyone. It's very large compared to the one in my hometown, which is probably the smallest in the entire Bay Area. The people here are friendly and having a Starbucks inside the is a pleasant treat. The only thing I don't like is that the intersection to the main entrance to the store is dangerous. The intersection is only a two-way stop sign and you take a chance every time you need to cross from the opposite side into the main parking lot. The other reason why it's dangerous is because the intersection less than 500 ft away is the main road stoplight and people exiting from there drive very fast. I suggest they should add a 4 way stop there. read more

I have been going to this Target for about 8 years. I usually love it. It's clean, staff is nice and there is usually a great selection of items. I went this week to get my L'Oréal face cream and it was behind a locked cage. I looked for a staff member and even waved my arms wildly so the six security cameras in the area could alert someone. No one ever came. I was dejected. Looked on Amazon and ordered it from them. When I was leaving I saw a staff member and told her of my issue. She told me the staff are too busy to stay in the area so if I don't see anyone come back up front and they will get someone. I tried so hard not to be a Karen but I did say I wasn't going to do that and I would just order from Amazon. I also thanked her because it was cheaper at Amazon. read more

Needing a gift card and 2019 planner I was able to find both easily. I haven't been to this location a lot and from. what I remember the guest services corner moved or got bigger. The aisles were clean and well stocked. The only thing is the shelves were messy and items not well organized so it was hard to see what the prices for the planners were, used price check nearby which helped. Came for what I needed and was a fine experience, would like to see some interactions from employees and smiles. read more

I went here about 8:00 AM & experienced dissatisfaction. I was looking for a couple on things in the electronics area when two workers that were about 20 feet from me started talking about an interaction they had with a customer a couple of minutes before. Then those two were speaking to another employee, all three had different types of clothes on so I assume they were in different tiers. It was all negative. I will never repeat what they said to each other. The only thing I can tell you is it made me as a customer who wanted to receive assistance from an employee never to do so in that store. Before I left I spoke with what turned out to be the manager only to find out she was one of the three workers involved. So the moral for me is that past the coffee house / pizza stand they have in the front of the store, do not trust anyone. read more

Up to now all of my reviews have been for restaurants as I don't shop at boutique stores and see no need to review major chain shopping facilities. But then I had this truly amazing experience at the Sherwood Target. I shop here at least once a month on my way home from work. It's like every other Target - though a few months ago they remodeled and added a grocery section which is pretty darn good (though not always the freshest produce). Until last week, every time I shopped at this location was during the 5-6pm after work rush, but I always had pleasant experiences here. The staff has always been friendly, the aisles clean, and shelves pretty well stocked. But then last week I made a super fast emergency run here before work. I felt like a total tool lined up at the front doors eagerly awaiting the employee who would unlock them promptly at 8am to let me in. I'm sure that secretly the employees roll their eyes at people like me, but this gentleman held the door open for me and asked how my morning was going so far. What a nice way to start my spree. I was in the store for no more than twenty minutes total. Even though I had a fairly long list, I am a pro when Target shopping; knowing exactly which aisles to turn down for the specific products I am after. In the brief amount of time I was shopping, half a dozen employees that I saw actually stopped to say hi, ask how I was today, and offer their assistance to find things. I brushed them all off, but thought they went out of their way to be so kind to offer help. I'm sure they have a policy in place to offer assistance to all guests in all departments, but it felt genuine from each of them. I did have to break down and seek help at the end of my round because my dear boyfriend requested that I pick up some Krazy Glue - a product I have never purchased. I knew it wouldn't be in the school supplies aisle since it's not a kid-friendly product, but I would have felt like a dummy if I didn't at least look next to the Elmer's school glue to be sure. The woman who was working in that aisle asked if she could help me find something. I hesitated - having just turned down six other offers for help from her coworkers and because I was short on time. But I relented. I was amazed that she took the time to drop everything she was working on and walk through two other sections of the store to help me track down what I wanted. And she was so nice about it and made very pleasant small talk with me. Like I said, I don't normally review big stores like this, but this Target has always given me a good shopping experience. And after last week's 8am shopping trip, I just thought it was right to say how much I appreciate the customer service at this store. read more

Whenever I find myself in Sherwood, I stop at Target. The bathrooms are always clean and they smell great (which is not usual for bathrooms in case you didn't know that already). Starbucks is here, there's food, and all the usual Target goods. I know some hate chain stores, but I really don't get how you could hate Target. There's just too much to love here. read more

Yep, it's a Target. About what you would expect. When Ms. K. and I lived in T-town for a while (before moving to cow country), this is where we would generally go for our household needs (and sometimes for groceries). The staff was always friendly and helpful, they always had a lot of stuff (usually whatever we needed/were looking for) and as usual for Target--the prices were perfectly reasonable. If you happen to be in the area (maybe going to the (central) Oregon Coast?), this is a perfectly good option for your household goods. read more

I go to Sherwood Target twice a week, to visit Starbucks to get coffee and buy my Grandson a cake pop. The staff are so friendly and helpful and have really become my friends! I have never been to another Target with such a great staff!! They know us by name and we love them all!!! Target usually has everything I need or want, the store is always clean, I love that they give away Cuties and Bananas to kids!!I I just cannot say enough good things about this store, I will continue going there over Walmart when I need to shop. read more

This is about an employee Roxanne. My kids 14,12 (along with their dad) were waiting outside for a release a release that was told by other target stores was happening at all locations at a certain day and time so they got there before open and she came out and was a b*itch saying they are loitering and it's harassing her store ???? But yet people can wait outside for hours for Black Friday, for release of xboxes heck for covid to get toilet paper?? Making kids feel like sh*t to be waiting and excited for something way to go Roxanne hope you feel good about yourself your role as lead making you think you own the store has gone to your head. I know she is lead because there was another target employee in line waiting and she was being rude to him as well saying did he tell us all to come and wait outside and questioning who told him it was ok to be outside waiting, um no he didn't Hillsboro location told us all would be stocking today but if he did it's none of her business! Went to Target to get an activation card for a phone. The new ones they had were not in the system so I spent 15 minutes at one register with the clerk trying to ring it up and another 15 back at the electronics counter. While this was frustrating, I was impressed that a number of employees tried to troubleshoot and one ended up calling another Target and finding out that the item was not in the system. He ended up pulling the item and selling me a phone at a discounted rate (the cost I would have paid for the activation card). After that, I stopped for a Starbucks drink and one if the employees who had tried to help me was there and refused my money for my drink. I just want to say thanks! We live near this Target and have dropped in many times over the years. The staff have always been friendly and helpful to us. Even if we don't need help, there is usually one person who will ask how we're doing or if we need help with finding something. It's also very clean and bright. I have shopped a lot at this in store over the last year. The service, never good, has become worse. At best, I feel like I am in an empty warehouse for hours, trying to find or get items that are often not on the shelves. Once I was looking for something on the First Aid aisle. A new employee asked if she could help & before she could another one came to tell her she was needed in the front. They were not busy as scarcely any customers were there. The employees stay clustered around the front & do not help customers find things. On 11-29-18 I was getting milk at the back of the store. An employee came back there not to help me find anything but to tell me the store was closing in 5 minutes. I headed to the front & put my items on the check out counter & packed the bags myself. I finished checking out at 11:02 pm. I rushed outside & as I was about to get into the car the angry employee came out the door threatening me if I ever came back. I was sure that the Walmart across the parking lot that also closes at 11pm had a lot of shoppers in line buying a lot of holiday stuff. Target has driven away those customers. I have worked in retail at stores during the holidays in the customer service department helping people with applications & wrapping packages. It's hard standing on your feet for hours. But I was never mean or rude to a customer. After I punched out one store made us continue to work off the clock straightening things on shelves and racks of clothes. I had a problem with Target.com. I called the bricks and mortar store in my local area. The general manager, was rude and condescending. All I wanted was local assistance in cutting the red tape (or is it a red target on my back (ha ha)) at his company. I also found out later he lied to me and the extended warranty was in fact purchasable from his store. I've been frequenting the Sherwood Target for a little over a year now and have had multiple experiences with the employees that have made me reconsider ever shopping there again. Not only has the customer service been unhelpful, but a few of my experiences checking out have been frustrating including today when I was summoned out of a long line for a "10 Items of Less" line and then was denied the ability to check out in this line because I had 11 items and then had to go to a different line because the line I left was then crowded with people. Needless to say, when the Wal-Mart down the street opens, I will be giving them my business from now on. read more
