I was in need of a pedicure and was able to get in right away. They did a fabulous job of making my feet pretty again. Katie and Hieu are professional and friendly and do amazing work. Came in as a walk-in Friday afternoon and they were able to take care of me quickly. I did the deluxe pedicure. It was super relaxing and the massage was really nice. Always a treat yourself visit. There are all types of nail salons and each have their place, but for me Great Professional Nails is where I go to get a REALLY good manicure or pedicure for the most reasonable price. I have been to nail salons all over the Beaverton area and there just isn't one that does a better job. Now, I should tell you that I don't get designs on my nails, and I don't have 3 inch long nails, I just get a simple gel manicure and it's always perfect. For the pedicures, is this the fanciest place in town, uh, no. Do I get the longest massage with minimal talking, waxed feet, warm stones, for the best price ever, YES! They never nag you to upgrade your pedicure or try to pressure you to get your nails done on the same day, they are truly just professional and kind and really good at what they do. They pay attention to detail and my nails always last upwards of 3-4 weeks!! They are so sweet and I will always come here in portland! My friend and I walked in for a pedicure. They said had time. I wanted mostly and ready only the dead skin removed from my feet. The lady was curt and rough. She barely spent 2 minutes on my skin and busied herself with my nails. Which felt like took for ever. I don't feel she cut my nails short enough as a couple of days later the length was bothering me and I go 2 weeks easy without a trim. The paint job was good, nails clipped pretty but long. I really just wanted dead skin removal. I had a crack on the bottom of my foot from the dead skin and that wasn't even touched. She barely touched the skin on the side of the foot. This review is about my first visit to GPN on 2/22/19. Great start - I was able to book a same-day appointment for a shellac manicure (on a Friday). When I arrived I was greeted with a warm welcome, asked to fill out a brief customer info sheet, and offered a drink. I'm sorry I can't remember the manger's name, but she was pleasant and friendly. When she took the info sheet back she noticed that I had a birthday earlier in the month and let me know that my service would be 20% off. My nail tech was Mindy, who was also friendly. She was painstaking with my manicure, very attentive and exacting. Also, not too rough! I've been nicked several times at the salon I'd been going to previously & that hurts for days. Mindy was nice but not too chatty, so I was able to relax and let her work. Decent selection of shellac colors; I chose one and Mindy held it up to my skin and suggested a slightly darker shade of polish to look better with my skin tone. I went with her choice and loved it. She did three coats of polish plus the clear coat so it took a while, but I enjoyed not being rushed. I'll post photos but note that the manicure was done a full FIVE days ago and that I work at a winery where my hands get banged up a bit throughout my work day. Polish has held up well! Super pleased with the service here! I came as a walk-in around 5pm on a Friday to get a shellac mani and was asked to come back around 6 when they would have a nail tech available. I didn't mind, I hopped over to the Goodwill a few blocks away and browsed around to kill time (found an awesome pair of running shoes that retail for $100, for only $15! SCORE!) By the time I made it back to the salon they were almost finished with the other clients, they asked me to choose my colors and brought me a nice cold cup of water and a coaster. A girl (named Therese? Maybe...) shaped my nails while nail tech Vinnie finished up with the client ahead of me. When he was ready for me I showed him a picture to help explain what I was wanting, he took a look and got started very quickly. He was quick but still very meticulous and careful, I could tell he was very experienced, a true master of his craft! It took close to 45 minutes from the time I sat in his chair until he was done fleeking my nails, and let me tell you I was so impressed with the work he did and the final product! The price of my shellac mani was a reasonable $35 (plus the nail kit which was $3), not including the tip. A friend and I went in here and they have really gone downhill which is unfortunate. My nails weren't great yet their prices have gone up. This used to be my go to spot but lucky for me there are plenty of places throughout the area that do a great job for less. I was in shock too because they charged us for the top of the line pedicure which I used to actually get because they would really take their time rubbing and scrubbing, paraffin wax, hot stones... My friend I brought is very sensitive so we asked them to just do her feet - she cannot have one of her legs massaged etc. They then barely touched either of us and charged us as if we got the works! In addition - they hurt my friend I brought, barely said a word to either of us - even when we were trying to ask questions. This is my favorite place to go for a mani/pedi. Especially with Thresa! They can get pretty busy so I recommend a call ahead or making an appointment. I'm a hard working bartender and even a typical Shellac manicure only lasts a few days... this is where I go to get the longest lasting results (still only about 6 days but whatever). My friends had their eyebrows waxed by Britney and she took a LOT of time to make sure it was done right. She had them lift and scrunch heir eyebrows halfway through the wax and took a lot of care. My experience with Great Professional Nails was awesome! I found them on yelp when I was looking for a place to get acrylics done for the first time. All the reviews pointed me towards Vinny and I was not disappointed. Vinny was very nice and diligent, but precise with his work. He put in his earbud to listen to music, and got straight to it. Although I'm really happy with my experience at the salon, I am giving a 4/5 star review because setting up the appointment was a bit difficult. I was told my appointment was set for 10:45, but when I got there the doors were locked and I found out they don't open till 11. I wanted to find my nail place, in my new hometown. This is my second time here and I have mixed feelings. The first time was ok, not amazing, but ok. I appreciated they gave me my own nail set to bring in. For sanitary reasons, I'm super appreciative and impressed with that. The second time, today, was not wonderful. I'll start with the good part, though! Tresa did my shellac manicure and did a fantastic job. She was kind, gentle, took her time, was very meticulous with her technique and shaping, and I am so so very happy with the outcome. The hand massage felt nice too! I'd for sure get a gel mani, from her, again! Onto the not so great part. Kim, the manager, did my pedicure. She was very, very rushed the entire time. I was not a walk in, but made an appt (that had to be confirmed 3 times by staff). Kim ripped skin from me and really made me bleed. My toe is still sore hours later (see picture below). I am pregnant and was so looking forward to a nice, relaxing foot and leg massage (with hot towel/ hot stones, as advertised.) She slid lotion on the front of my legs and feet, barely touched the stones on the bottoms of my feet, put a warm towel around them for maybe 1 minute and never massaged my feet or legs, ever, just wiped the lotion off with a towel. I was so disappointed. I also had to sit uncomfortably sideways, while she cleaned and disinfected the tub with me sitting right at it. I've never had that happen before. Other salons will wait until you get up. She got up and onto the next person, and had Tresa paint my toes (she did a pretty good job) and then they took my personal flip flops I brought and made me (and others I witnessed- including an older lady), walk across the salon to the nail chair, barefoot. My feet still have rough and dry spots too. All in all, this part was a let down. I don't know if I would come back again for a pedicure, but I would schedule with Tresa, specifically, for a gel mani. read more

I went to this nail salon on a whim. I didn't have an appointment so I thought I could do a walk in. Unfortunately it was a bit understaffed so I set an appointment to come back an hour later. I had a shellac manicure and a regular pedicure. Two people worked on my manicure and my pedicure. They were really attentive to detail and made sure they did the style I wanted. I was given a discount on my previous shellac removal which is normally $5. So for the shellac manicure and regular pedicure it was about $56 (not including tip). The downside is the nail technician that did my manicure didn't soak my hands or anything before she went to remove my shellac and cut my cuticles. But overall it was an okay experience but the people were really nice. I usually go to a different nail salon but this time wanted to go somewhere closer. read more

Dude, this has got to be the BEST nail salon I have ever experienced. I have been to a handful of nail salons from every part of town. I have also been to the majority of beauty schools and higher end nail spas in Oregon, in hopes of finding the ideal nail salon. Well, yesterday...I found it. (I quit my acrylic addiction eons ago, but I still like my paws to look good.) My friend was having a bad day and I decided to take her out to some pedis. Since I was in the Beaverton area, I wanted to look up reviews for a reputable nail place before taking her there (wouldn't want to make her day worse with bad nail experience, right?). I found this gem among others, but the thing that made me chose this location over the other nearby locations is the consistency of 5 star reviews written by fellow Yelpers. Excited and curious, we made our way over to this joint. We were warmly greeted by Kim. She asked what we were here for and we told her we were interested in the Spa Pedis ($25). They were running a 4th of July special where you buy one for $25 and the second Spa Pedi will be $15. Great deal, so we sat back in the luxurious massage chairs to go on our magical Spa Pedi journey. Before starting, Kim asked if we were first time customers and we said yes, and she handed over slips of paper for us to fill out our name, phone number and birthday. Kim mentioned she will use the info to notify us special discounts from time to time. After that, Kim joyfully handed over a huge plastic bin filled with raffle slips and told us that since we were first time customers, we get to each draw a special surprise! We each got a $5 gift certificate before even starting our Spa Pedis. My friend had Bobby and I had Kim to service us. We bought our own nail kit but they took out new nail kits for us and told us that theirs were better, we shrug and said "go for it". We were expecting them to charge for the nail kits after the Spa Pedis were done, but they didn't! Kim said that our nail kits were free of charge (every nail salon out there will charge you at least $3-$6 for a nail kit that costs a mere $1 at the store and tell you that it's required "by law"...HAHAHA what a freaking JOKE!! To all you other nail salons out there: Y'all just wanna rip customers off because YOU can't afford to provide your customers with the core basics! If anything, YOU are violating the law and your business should get shut down! Go fuck yourselves already, thanks! ^_~). Our nail kit came in a nice white box that fitted a pumice buffer for the feet, nail file, nail buffer and a "toe-sie separator" (my own term because I don't know the correct term). Both Bobby and Kim kept talking to a minimum, which we prefer because most of the Vietnamese-owned nail salons we have been to, had staff that were loud, chatty and annoying (unprofessional!). Now, the quality of the Spa Pedis were *ahhhhmazing*!!! They took their time and was attentive to the smallest details. I get occasional in-grown nails (despite taking care of my toesies on a regular basis) due to wearing a lot of stilettos for work and other unhealthy shoe habits. Kim noticed this and took care of my paws accordingly. She was gentle and effective. After almost an hour long Spa Pedi, we had a paraffin wax treatment (included in the Spa Pedi!) as the happy ending :) At the end, while I was paying, Kim gave my friend $5 (first time customer raffle) and $10 for her upcoming birthday and myself $5 (first time customer raffle). 5 star service at amazingly affordable prices. Salon is SUPER clean (someone was always cleaning something in the background). My friend and I stared at our beautiful toesies for the rest of the day. Our feet looked so purrfect, almost photo-shopped. After 23 years of searching for the ideal nail salon, I found it. So did my friend. :) I live in Gresham, but I don't mind the drive to Beaverton. Great. Professional. Nails. Yep....that' about sums it up. Never would have known this place was here off of Hall as I don't typically venture through there but low and behold there it was. Pedicure: $25. This was certainly worth it. The massage chairs seemed like they may need to be updated and/or fixed. My massage function wasn't working right. They do a nice job and even provide paraffin wax dip at the end. Satisfied for sure. My nails on the other hand were a different story. They look fine mind you, but the price....ouch. I don't know where they pulled $48 from but ouch. I should have been more questioning. First I wanted a back fill...for all you non-acrylic nail people that's really just a pink/white fill on your nails. Their board noted $30. No problem, that's pretty much what you pay anywhere. Well here's the clincher. Nail tech said I needed a new set of nails. OK. I get it...previous lady messed them up pretty good. I realized this. So....$40. Oh but wait....I wanted sparkle color not plain. So....$45?? So where did $48 come from!? What an expensive set of nails holy ish! I've never had to pay more for another color aside from white nor have I ever paid more than $40 for a full on set of nails. Kinda bummer if you ask me. read more

They always ask about my kids and husband, it makes me feel like I'm a valued customer. They remember me, and I'm not just another face in a busy salon. They have great deals. I won $5 off, so did my mother-in-law, and my husband won a free manicure (he hasn't used it yet, it was a struggle to drag him to a salon even once, but still).
