LOVE this place! I switched to Moda Nails because my other nail place would take in TOO many walk-ins and my mani/pedi that shouldn't take up more than an hour to an hour and a half was constantly ending up to be a three hour expedition. Moda nails was great! They have a super friendly staff, my nails turned out great, and they offer tea, water, etc. when getting a pedicure. Very relaxing and it's nice to know they rarely take walk-ins (appointment only). Plus I was in and out of there in an appropriate amount of time. I will be back! read more

They do the best gel mani pedis here. All the girls are amazing, so you never have to worry about who you get. The chairs are comfortable and the color selection is really good. Not sure how to rate this. The technician did amazing work. they didnt stick to their policy online that states "6 clients" at a time. There were 8 during mine. I spoke up but they made excuses of why it was happening. Really upset me as they don't stick to their policy. If they can have more people, then they need to update their website to give their clients a piece of mind. Five stars for technician but I don't recommend going during COVID. read more

Never once was I asked if I wanted something to drink , but the white women that came in were all asked right away and I was sitting next to them but no one offered me anything to drink not while my pedicure or during my nail set . Besides that I asked for coffin nails and my nails are all uneven, not shaped . I still tipped them but never coming again . I just want nicely even shaped nails is that too much to ask for . The nail technician was nice but not the most skilled. A pedicure shouldn't have taken 1.5 hours - didn't even get a decent leg massage.

Heard good reviews. Never been big on getting nails done but it was for my wedding. Made appt and asked for pink and white gels. Got to appt only to be told I'm getting shellac. Told them no I wanted gel and was told I would like shellac more. Kind of hard to understand the English but that's okay. Just wanting to get nails done and not argue, so agreed to shellac. The ladies talk in their language the majority of the time which I find rude. Are you talking about the ladies here and myself right in front of our face. I mean if you want to talk crap about my nails just flat out say it. Got the shellac and by day 3 it was lifting from my nails. Went back to them and was told it was the henna done on my hands that made them lift and turn orange. Umm not there was no henna around my nails. Was told to scrub my nails to get the color to go away but nothing was done about my nails lifting. The day of my wedding came and my nails were getting ready to pop off my nail. Not what I was expecting at all. Disappointed. Then getting them off my nails. Ugh I will go somewhere else to get my nails done next time and will insist to get gel. read more

Didn't love my experience here. I had a 1pm appointment and it was after 1:30 before they started. I was there for over two hours getting a gel mani pedi. If I make the time to make an appointment the establishment should be ready for me at that time. I understand waiting for 5 min for someone to finish up. But it's disrespectful to the client to have them wait 30 min to start. And how were my nails? Just okay. I have bumps on two of them and a crooked toe nail. But I've had worse. Went in for a pedicure, I have been here a couple of times. They are fine, nothing special. The problem was the manicurists found something funny about my outfit and were laughing behind my back. Nice and clean salon, and the people are very nice. I will say the actual shaping of my nails and the painting was not as perfect as I thought it should be. There was many nails where the paint was not all the way to the nail bed or sides of the nails. It just doesn't look finished or make it look like you just had a pedicure. I generally have had a very good experience here so I have made this my repeat go to nail place until now. One week ago I got shellac on my nails for an upcoming trip.. I'm a regular with shellac so I was upset when after less than 24 hours almost every nail had chipped because my nails weren't appropriately painted on the ends. I went back to give them a chance to fix it because I hate writing reviews like this. They were very nice about me coming back but how did they go about fixing it you may ask? By slapping more shellac on top of the shellac I had. I expected them to re do my nails because obviously that's not a solution. I said this is going to chip again.. but the lady kept painting away. Here I am now 5 days post fix (6 post original manicure) and all of my nails are chipped (again!!). I'm frankly not happy because I gave them the chance to make it right and their response was "come back if it chips again". No, I don't want to keep coming back and I am now on vacation in another state with shitty looking nails. Can't say I want to come back ever again. read more

1. Very clean place 2. I had to purchase a personal nail kit for $5, so customers need not share the same nail clippers. Kudos for a very sanitary practice! 3. The massage chairs have many settings. Enjoy! 4. My nail tech, Sarah, was great. She had very gentle hands. I get very nervous when a nail tech cuts my cuticles because it usually hurts, but Sarah was super careful (even without instruction). 5. Their massage lasted longer than other salons, and paraben treatment comes with a regular pedicure. 6. After my manicure, Sarah had me dry my nails under a special nail dryer and made sure I only left the salon after my nails were completely dry. Thanks! 7. First time here and I chose it because of all the other great reviews. I live in the area and was going to another salon, but wasn't impressed with their service. This place was great! Kim was very sweet and did an excellent job and I didn't feel pressured to get every other thing on the menu done like I have at other places, but she was nice enough to inform me that when you get a mani/pedi you get a discount. When I first showed up there were not enough people (it was busy even at 10am) but they were willing to see if they could call someone in early! Wow! I was totally ok with coming back later. Can't wait to come back before my wedding to get my nails and toes done! FYI- Yes they make you have your own file, buffer, ect. This is a cleanliness issue! It's for your own safety, these items cannot be soaked in cleaner after each customer so please don't give them a hard time. Be grateful they are doing this! read more

Tried to explain we had called and changed the appointment time and the person who answered originally changed it for us no problem. She was so busy chastising us - she wouldn't listen. One of the few times my brain switches to "off" is when I get my nails done. When it's done well, that is. Well, Moda Nails is one of those places that just does it right! I was greeted by friendly smiles right when I walked in. I hadn't made an appointment, I just saw this place was about 15 minutes from my neighborhood and decided to head over before going to the movies. They said if I was willing to wait a few minutes it would be no problem to fit me in. One of the ladies wrapped each of my nails to take my polish off while I waited. Kim did my shellac manicure and she was friendly and attentive, clipped my cuticles gently, and didn't do any rough filing. She did a nice arm massage with oil and lotion, which was very relaxing. And she didn't give me a hard time about wanting really short nails. :) They nicely let me know they do prefer appointments, especially on weekends, as they have a lot of regular clients plus the normal amount of walk-ins. I scheduled an appointment to go back in 3 weeks. I am excited to make this my "home" nail salon! read more

I have been going to MODA for many years and would like to respond to "Laura's" review. I was there when this wedding party came in and in fact my appointment was delayed a half hour because this party was accommodated not from staffing but because they kept changing what they wanted. In addition, they were unclear as to what was to be paid in fact arguing. At the beginning of the appointment they were told the cost and then after the service was done they didn't want to pay. I am SO glad to have found a fabulous, clean and relaxing nail salon in Beaverton! The staff at Moda are amazing, and I love that they only have a few chairs. You have to make a reservation here as they fill up fast during the week and only have a few chairs, but when you're in them they treat you so well. My shellac lasted over 3 weeks and I had to take the polish off because my nails were growing too long-- that's never happened before! I am converted to shellac for life. Love Moda and am so glad it's in my own back yard. Totally beats out all area competitors. read more

Nice to find a place close by with such good ratings, so I checked them out with a friend. We did the pedicure and no complaints. Really liked the paraffin wax that was included, which you don't find often in a $25 pedi! Though it would have been nice to have it sit on my feet a little longer. The shop was really big and really nice and clean. Lots of space and wasn't too loud, even with the amount of people inside. Seems to be very popular. Was nice to be offered a beverage as well. The gals were friendly for the most part, just didn't engage in a conversation with us at all. But the gentleman who was there, and greeted us, was very nice and came by to chat with us often. The only suggestion I'd like to make is to mention on the phone, when you make your appointment, that you should bring a nail kit along with you, and that if you don't have one that you can buy one for $5. I wasn't told that when I made my appointment. My friend and I don't have pedi's very often so we didn't bring one. The gal who asked us about our kit must have been new, because when we said we didn't have one, she looked very confused and didn't know what to do. Which confused us, because we already had our feet in the tubs. She did find someone to help her and they put together a kit for each of us. Folks have commented on the price being $5, but you get many items in your kit...much more than in kits I've had before. All-in-all we had a good experience and they did a great job on my tootsies. I recently switched to Moda nails after going to another busy Murrayhill area nail salon. My old salon had gone downhill - rushing me, not filing and buffing very well and my polish was chipping super fast (even my Shellac starting pealing after a week) - I decided to try Moda because their prices were reasonable and they were in the area (I like to support local!). I was super impressed! The staff was super nice, offering me hot tea, cider, soda and even wine upon arrival. They had at least 45 different colors of Shellac polish and each station has not one but TWO CND nail dryers. The owners are so friendly, everyone that came into the salon they knew by name - definitely a place for repeat customers! The place is super clean and in the new area of Barrows Road and Scholls Ferry that is developing. The prices are really reasonable, especially for that level of surface. My only warning would be to make an appointment - they are BUSY! read more

Amazing. Moved here in April from Central California but am originally from Southern California where acrylics/pedi's/waxing is a must. I've been going religiously since I was 16...22 years. Had the best place ever down there in Palm Desert. However...they don't hold a candle to what I've found at Moda. Tina is the best...I get a Signature Spa pedicure and acrylic fill, both with shellac. I'm in for 2 hours, and at $85 it is more than worth it. It is heaven. The shellac lasts at least 3 weeks, and I type M-F from 7-4, and they always look like day one. Will never go anywhere else. As a bonus, I'd never had to bring my own "kit"...but I now appreciate the why behind it. It was only $5 on my first visit, and with the friendly reminder call the day before, I never forget to bring it with me. read more

I have been coming here every 2-3 weeks for about 8 years. This is quite honestly the only salon I will have do my nails. The bottom line is that when you go to a new nail place, the experience here is what you are hoping to find. The owner Tina ensures very consistent performance from all of the nail techs and they follow best practices such as not using electric filers on natural nails, keeping their equipment spotless and current, and there is appropriate hand washing. There are plenty of color and polish type options. I am a diehard fan of the gel (shellac) French manicure. The location is impeccably maintained and well put together. Appointments are recommended but they accept walk ins whenever they can accommodate. They are almost always right on time. In 8 years, I think I have only waited once or twice for my appointment to begin. Not all of the ladies are fluent in English but it does not stop them from being kind and friendly - and they ALL speak enough "nail language" to ensure you get the service you'd like. So if you are looking for a new nail place, try this one. Like me, you might end up not wanting to go anywhere else. :-) BONUS POLISH TIP: Don't forget, gel (shellac) polish softens in chlorine so be careful in pools, or choose regular polish if you will be swimming. read more

Best place I've come across in the Sherwood/Tigard area so far. I walked in and was greeted by at least two people who were already working on other customers. First glance showed a clean and well-kept shop; no dirt in the corners or dust on the plants and surfaces. After choosing my color I was taken immediately to a chair. They were careful with the water temperature and the woman working with me listened as I have her my instructions/requests. She was gentle with my cuticles and careful when trimming them. No blood loss. :) She was also thorough with my callouses and scrubbed them until my feet were smooth again. After that followed a solid 10 minute lower leg and foot massage and hot towel treatment. She was careful to remove all the oil at the end so that my feet weren't gooey when she put my shoes on after polishing them and painting a pretty design on the big toe. Clean place, kind ladies who listen and follow requests, reasonable pricing and an excellent polish job. I will certainly be returning. read more

I NEVER DO THIS!!! But I feel I must share my experience. I have been looking for a nail salon and have visited quite a few in the Beaverton area, but I will look no more! Was just looking for a place with the features that we ALL seem to want (clean, friendly, professional, talks to you, not the other employees in another language, not worrying about who is walking in the door, or looking at the clock, not up-selling, etc...) Well, I have to say that I am now on day 18...yes 18 with not 1 chip on my perfect shellac nails (and they are my real nails)! In the past they have NEVER lasted more than 9 days. In the 18 days, I took a plane trip, type everyday on my computer for work, cleaned my house (scrubbed showers, etc... with gloves), did yard work...and nothing..no chips at all. I am SO happy I have found this gem! I have already recommended this to about 20 people! LOVE THEM!!! I did a search on Google for the "top nail salons in Beaverton. Went to YELP and read a bunch of reviews and that is how I chose MODA. I have driven by it a million times, just never went in. They now have a lifelong client! read more

I chose Moda because I have always liked this place until yesterday. I made appointment's for 6 of us several days in advance for my daughter's wedding. The gal who did my daughter's nails was not in a good mood and did not finish her nails well. They only had one person who did full acrylic nails which we had 2 in our party needed to have done and 1 backfill. Tina complained she may not have time to do all of them. She did finish them but we felt her stress. I was happy with mine but when we went to pay they argued with me about the bill and kept saying read our flier. I had researched there prices before I came and knew how much they charged. But Tina was very persistent and quit rude. It was busy there so I gave her the benefit of the doubt. Come to find out when I came home she overcharged me 10 plus I gave them a tip for all there trouble. I wont be going there again read more

The tools they used to clean up my nails were just sitting in a cup face up and put back in the same position after they used them on me. I really don't understand Oregon's health codes when it comes to nail salons. Bring your own nail file kit but we'll use dirty clippers and soak your feet in a dirty tub. Anyways, pedicure was okay. I wasn't asked what pedicure I wanted so I think I just received the basic. The ladies really want to just cycle you through, they are all wanting to leave early to go to the fair today, whatever. Back in November, I had my first Shellac manicure at Moda, and I went back before Christmas to get another one just before a holiday party. The salon is clean, bright, and modern, and the staff is friendly. They tend to be busy, but I was able to get same day appointments both times when I called. What actually inspired me to finally write a review was my experience at two different salons: the woman who does my hair started doing Shellac and offered me an inexpensive manicure, and just yesterday I used a gift certificate at Dosha and got a Shellac there. They were both terrible. It made me realize how difficult it is to do Shellac properly and just how good at it the techs at Moda are. Their nail prep is perfect, and the coats of polish are thick like they need to be. They adjust the time on the UV machine so that the polish cures correctly. Unlike my two other experiences, my manicures from Moda had no flaws: no bubbles, blank spots, or pooling near the cuticle. You get a nice hand and arm massage, too! read more
