I give this place high marks for several reasons. First, they're super accommodating and kind! Customer service is excellent. I recently organized a pedicure party for a friend who is getting married, and 16 women were attending. Based on other reviews, I called Moda about 2 weeks ahead to see if they could fit us all in. Not only were they happy to have us, but they reserved the whole salon for us so we got all their attention for a full 2 hours (I even saw them turn away a few walk-ins!). Second, Moda allowed me to bring in appetizers, wine, and other drinks, and the owner was helpful in bringing in the heavy bags - above and beyond. Even still, they also offered our party their drinks if people wanted them - water, tea, etc. Third, the salon is very clean and warmly decorated with modern touches. Parking and access are easy. Most importantly, they made sure we all got the full treatments - no rushing us - and everyone was very happy with the results. Others have mentioned this: When my gal first put on the polish I chose, it was really light. She happily chose a few others for me to try (I didn't have to get up :) until we found the right one. I appreciated that extra service! One note - this is probably normal, but just in case you need to know, if you don't have one of their file packets, you'll have to buy one for an additional $5. Mt friend and I went in for our first mani pedi since the pandemic started hoping for a relaxing time chat while we indulged in manicures. Unfortunately the 5 women working proceeded to chat loudly and laugh with each other while they worked - which normally I would celebrate in a workplace, but my friend and I couldn't hear each other. In addition speaking loudly is not safe behavior during a pandemic even with masks on. And they were so impatient and rude with us while we were paying (using the ATM). But the manicure and pedicure look great. Just not a relaxing spa experience at all. read more

I've been to Moda three times as a backup for my regular nail salon, and at least 2 of the 3 times, they charged more than what their web site said or what they quoted to me over the phone. On this latest visit, I specifically asked for a solar fill, and they asked if it was for shellac and I clarified that it was not shellac, and I was quoted $20 over the phone. I went in for my appointment and was surprised to be charged $25 after the service was complete because the gel top coat was extra. I've had solar nails for almost a decade and I have never been charged extra for the gel top coat. It is always part of the service, as it wouldn't be complete without it (and it wasn't like I was offered a choice of a top coat because she just applied it when she was done buffing my nails and she didn't stop to ask if I wanted the gel top coat for an additional $5). She said if I had chosen "regular color," the price would have been $20, and pointed to the wall of regular nail polish. That made absolutely no sense to me. It seems they are always trying to make up excuses to charge a few extra dollars. I wouldn't have minded paying the full amount if they were honest with their pricing from the beginning. Before any work is done, I would suggest asking what they will charge so you can avoid any surprises when it's done. Based on previous 1- and 2-Star reviews, it seems clear that the the customer is always wrong at Moda and they never care to earn business from any customers who question pricing or the quality of their work. The salon is pretty and clean. I was one of 4 people when I arrived and during the course of my appointment one person went on break and I was the only customer. I waited 15 minutes after sitting down to have someone start on my pedicure (ok, I know that happens) and then 45 minutes after my appointment was, no one had started my manicure. While I was getting my toenails painted a phone call came in and some kind of misunderstanding must have happened, the person who answered the phone and the person doing my nails were having a raised voice angry conversation - I couldn't understand the words but the tone/body language made me uncomfortable. When my toes were drying I could tell they had not been done well (top coat not done to the edges of the color, visible brush marks) and the lady came to ask if I was getting a manicure, which at that point I did not have time for. Found my new nail salon! Came here the first time a couple months ago for a manicure after being stood up multiple times at my last salon. I was so happy with the quality of work they do here. They take their time to ensure your nails are perfect. I was floored with how detailed she was in shaping my nail--they clearly have a lot of pride in what they do and it shows! I stopped by after a Saturday morning appointment and they saw me right away! I just needed a basic pedicure. Price was fair and everyone was nice. It was definitely busy because I had to circle around for 10 minutes to find parking and when getting my pedicure I felt a bit rushed. It was just okay, the nail polish was a bit messy and my feet were still as dry as before my visit. I usually get a deluxe pedicure but this time I just needed a basic clean up. It was a bit odd that they used oil instead of lotion so it didn't absorb well. I didn't feel my visit warranted a large tip, so I didn't leave one, and you could tell that's all the nail tech was interested in. I want to give this place another try, I don't like to give bad reviews from a first time visit to a place like this. I'm sure I'll be back the next time I'm in the area! read more

When I first walked into this salon, I was very impressed by the cleanliness and the staff was very friendly. I was however, bummed about the lack of color choices for powdered color acrylic nails. My sister and I came here for a mini pampering. We both were sitted very quickly and she got started on right away. My nail technician was 20 min late. She went so fast and so sloppy. My nails were uneven and very very thin. I can see through the color! I was finished about 20 minutes before my sister because her next appointment was in! I was punished for her being late! Awesome place they are very nice and it is so relaxing there it made me almost fall asleep! That's a good thing. The chairs are so comfortable and they massage really well and the music is interesting it's sometimes diffrent languages like French or German but mostly in the jazz department. Thy have one t.v that shows beautiful pictures form across the world and I would recommend them for shalac and maybe nail polish but it feel like they need more shalac nail polish options And I feel like when they put the heater things around your feet they could do a better job because when it leans on you it hurts and it's not supposed to hurt read more

I have been going to Moda for a few months now and always received great service and my nails looked wonderful and lasted...HOWEVER... this past visit my shellac polish started chipping off within a few days of having it done. I went in and they patched them up (they didn't re-do any of the nails, just covered the chips). However, the next day the patchwork had chipped off as well. I tried calling Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday with no response (they were closed) and FINALLY got an answer on Thursday. After explaining my situation, I was told "no discounts" and that they would fix them "for full price" because it had been more than 7 days since my visit (remember, they were closed). When I asked about her standing behind the quality of her work she YELLED at me "don't question my business" and HUNG UP ON ME. The best part was... she called back, got my voicemail and YELLED AT ME ON VOICEMAIL telling me it was my fault for not coming in sooner. Needless to say, I will not be back and will not recommend her to anyone. read more

I'm one of those women who has always bounced around and has tried MANY different nail salons but none of the salons I have gone to add up to Moda! I found this place randomly with a girlfriend of mine & I will not go ANYWHERE else!!!!!!! My girlfriend also agrees, I used to have stiletto solars but after having them for two years straight I thought I'd give my nails a break so I've been sticking to shellac. They always do an amazing job, both solar and shellac, and I've never once been disappointed. I also live 20 minutes away from this salon and it is TOTALLY worth the drive! My mom and I went here last weekend while we were in town for my little sister's bridal shower (we're originally from Oregon, but now live in New Jersey/New York respectively). I picked a place near my sister's house based on the Yelp reviews, and I was not disappointed. Moda is without a doubt the best nail salon that I've ever been to...and I get my nails done a lot! This time, I tried the shellac manicure with the classic pedicure ($45 total), which I'd never gotten before. I was impressed by the price, because I think in New York shellac manicures alone are in the $60 range. Both ladies who did our nails were incredibly nice and spent a lot of time doing it right. The pedicure was great--with awesome massage chairs and an extra leg massage and parafin wax treatment included. I would absolutely go again (if only it were closer to home!). read more

I am the customer that Dia H. referred to in her review of Moda. I witnessed all of the events during her appointment. The owner did not complain to me about her. The only conversation I had with the owner was me telling the owner that I thought that the customer was rude to both her and her staff. I listened to see if I could figure out what Dia H. wanted done with her nails and I couldn't figure out what she wanted either. I was sitting at the nail station right next to the station she was at. It wasn't hard to hear what was going on. I could tell that she was very frustrated, but the owner did try to understand what she wanted and Dia H. was not clear. Dia H. did get very mad, that was very clear. I have been going to Moda since it opened. I have always been treated with the utmost respect and kindness. Tina and her staff are all professional, friendly and have made sure that each time I go in (every other week) that I get exactly what I ask for. I have had many services there: full set, back fill, regular fill, shellac manicure and pedicure, and waxing. Each time I have be extremely happy with the results. My daughter took her entire wedding party (8 people) to Moda for pedicures prior to her wedding. It was a great experience. And 5.00 for a nail kit? Yes, it's 5.00 but it comes with so much in it that it is worth more than the 5.00 you pay. I, for one, don't want my nails done with a file, buffer or nail brush that has been used on someone else. A tech from across the salon asked what I wanted, so I told her I just needed to get my nails soaked off. She rolled her eyes and said, "No." I realize I didn't have an appointment, but she could have said, "Sorry, we're really busy at the moment would you mind waiting?" Found this place for my anniversary weekend to surprise my wife! WHOA! This place is awesome. They were so nice and worth every penny. So hard to find a place that focuses more on the massage as well as the pedicure. They offered drinks while we waited. Had complimentary team, water, soda, and wine. The owner was making jokes as we waited and was super friendly. It's a little out of the way for us when we were just visiting Oregon, but my wife was so happy and loved it! I would not mind making an appointment to take my wife back next time we are in Oregon. If you love a manicure/pedicure and want a place that actually massages and does an amazing job! This was my first trip to Moda Salon and I was anticipating a good trip because of the other positive reviews that have been posted about this salon. I went with my mom and we both got the 1 hour signature pedicure that is similar to a standard pedicure, just adds more leg rubbing time (YES!) and a few different products they used on our feet and legs. I've had plenty of pedicures and I don't think my feet and legs have ever felt this good after one. Everyone was super friendly and kept checking on how we were doing, if we needed water, etc. I would definitely go back and recommend this salon to my friends. read more

Made an appointment two hours ahead and they were ready for me even though I was ten minutes early. Tech seemed a little upset I didn't want shellac - just the regular mani/pedi. Not sure if that was a miscommunication between whomever booked me or just trying to upsell. Tech nicked my cuticle in the mani making me bleed- I've never had that happen before! I've been getting shellac (french) nails at another local nail salon for about a year. I've been disappointed the past few times and when I heard good things about Moda, I figured I've give it a shot. YAY!!! I called mid-morning on a weekday to see if there was anyone available. I was able to get in right away (I live 5 minutes down the road) and upon my arrival, was immediately taken care of by Amy. She was so sweet and did an outstanding job. The other salon I had gone to would soak my whole hand in a bowl of acetone to get the shellac to come off. Moda does it the way it's supposed to be done and individually wraps each finger with an acetone-soaked pad and aluminum foil. Soooo much nicer. The hand/arm massage at the end was heavenly. I need to ask next time what it was that was used but it was some type of oil in addition to the lotion. Felt amazing!! I'm so glad to have found a nearby salon that will do a great job and not make me feel like I'm being herded in and out like cattle. read more

This place is absolutely the best nail salon I've been to in a long time. The place is beautiful, clean, light, and beautifully decorated. It's relatively new so the equipment is in great condition. The pedicure chairs are cozy. The services are fantastic, the shellac polish lasts for awhile and they have a wide variety of colors to chose from. I was looking for a nail salon for a special occasion to have a shellac manicure. After reading the great reviews about Moda, I made an appointment for myself and my daughter. We drove quite a distance to go there because we wanted a high quality experience. I appreciate the cleanliness of the salon. That was great. I also really appreciated that the technicians were not visiting with each other but remained focused on their clients. However, my daughter's pedicure looked like something a 6 year old would have done. The polish was on the tips of the skin on her toes, and the tech just wiped it so that the red polish on her nails was followed by "pink" on the skin tip of her toes. Yuck. And my shellac was so disappointing. My tech snagged my nails with her cuticle scissors, and didn't buff the snag smooth prior to applying the shellac base coat. So there are visible bumps that look like a grain of sand under my polish. I noticed it as soon as the base coat was applied. She continued with the shellac process stating that she didn't have time to fix it. So here I am, stuck with these very visible flaws in my manicure that I still had to pay full price for. I am very disappointed. I believe the appropriate action would have been to either remove the base coat on the affected nails, and do it correctly, or at the very least, give me a gift-certificate for a free shellac manicure for the next time. I will not be returning to Moda again due to their poor performance and lack of resolving their mistake. read more

My mum and I came here for nails and pedi for my wedding. When I opened the door, the man, who I think is the owner, on the front desk welcomed me with his big, BIG smile. It was a Saturday, so the salon was full of people, and I felt lucky that I made appointment. My mum and I both did the signature pedi and sellac mani. The young women with short hair (I cannot remember her name) who did nails and pedi for me was really friendly, and also, she did an amazing job!!
