Came in for my quarterly haircut and I was very impressed as always by my haircut. Louie had never given me a bad haircut and I'm always satisfied. He never cuts my hair too short, it's very hard finding a good barber that can cut Asian hair so I've been sticking with Enzo Hair Studio for a while now. I always recommend my friends to go here and they have been happy with the results as well. My go to haircut with Louie is the 2 Block Cut and I guaranteed if you gave Louie specific instructions, he will never do you dirty. Clean aesthetic hair studio. I wanna add that every time I walked into Enzo, Louie is always offering me snacks and water which I appreciate l. Traci did my hair yesterday. I usually have thick hair and now it's so thin. She only uses texture scissors on me, which I thought maybe was just a different technique. But it's so thin and I feel like a cancer patient loosing their hair. It is also really uneven with straggling long random hairs everywhere. I had to trim some areas myself just to go out in public. She toned down my blonde and now parts of it are blue. She seemed to have a lot of experience. Is it incompetence, maybe she was having a bad day? Maybe just mean spirited? She listens to me and is very attentive to what it takes to very thin and fragile. I am not going to allow anyone else to cut my hair. I had a haircut with Traci and she was so rude. I was looking forward to this hair salon because they specialize in cutting Asian hair and I was wanting to freshen up my hair that grew out. From start to finish, Traci was berating my hair, telling me how dry my hair was and how I should have washed it before coming in or else she can't cut it to how I wanted. I showed her a reference photo to see if she could cut layers similar to the photo, but she said "I can't cut your hair like this. Your hair is too thin and you just don't have a lot of hair like the girl in the picture." She did not offer any alternatives and just cut it to how she saw fit. Traci was so persistent with trying to sell her shampoos to me, telling me repeatedly that my hair looks the way it does because she's making the assumption that I use drugstore shampoos. The shampoo that I use is actually from the last salon that I went to, which is not a drugstore shampoo. I left the salon in tears because I paid $45 just for my hair to look the same way it did when I walked in. If I could give this salon less than 1 stars I would. Avoid Traci, she is rude! Other salons that I've been to have kind people who take the time to wash my hair and meticulously cut it. Traci just snipped off random pieces. I was in a time crunch because my other salon was all booked and I needed a new cut asap. Never stepping foot here again and I also recommend you not to as well. read more

I went in for a haircut with Tracy and had specifically asked not to take any length off the front. Unfortunately, she cut off at least four inches and she continued to tell me how it needed to be done to fix my previous cut. I've been trying to grow my hair out and the cut she gave looks terrible and doesn't frame my face well. Even though the previous cut wasn't perfect, I was getting a lot of compliments and really enjoying the style. It's such a massive disappointment with upcoming events and travel that I now how a haircut that I feel really terrible about. I usually don't post reviews unless I'm blown away by the service. Sadly this is not that type of review. This was my second experience getting a haircut by Traci. The first was a year ago when I moved to the area. I recall the scheduling process was unnecessarily complicated with numerous back and forth texts and photo exchanges to establish an appointment however the result was satisfactory enough to give it a second try. For this cut, I showed Traci a reference photo of textured layers, and her reaction was to say "well this is AI and I can't give you this because the image has more hair." For the record, I've been cutting textured layers for the last few years to add volume and have done so successfully. The tone of Traci's response was berating so I remained quiet for the remainder of the service. Traci pulled out a curling iron and proceeded to wrap the top layers of my hair to "see where the layers landed". In past experience a stylist would use a comb and pull up hair to analyze the cut line. Ok I thought, different approach. Traci performed a dry cut in a haphazard way occasionally checking if lengths were even (no post cut shampoo, no styling). She was heavy with scissor work yet didn't trim the back length so I had to ask her to trim the dead ends. My long face layers were cut into bangs above my cheekbone that I neither asked for nor showed in the photo provided. At completion I inquired about color in order to set up a future appointment for the right service and she asked me to text photos. I got the impression she was rushing me out because her next client had arrived 10 minutes into my service and was waiting just like I had for my appointment which started late. Traci made the assumption I dyed my own hair. I do not. In fact, she was the last person to color my hair a year ago. She asked "well do you want to do the service in the salon or dye at the salon and go home to wash it out yourself?" She gave some explanation about how clients don't have time and are in a rush and prefer to "do their own wash out". I have NEVER completed my own wash out and there is usually toner involved, let alone have I ever been asked such a question by a professional stylist. For color inspiration I showed a photo of a few highlights placed under the back length that would peekaboo out. I showed an image of brunette hair with subtle highlights on the cooler side and she responded "I don't do fun colors." I had to ask for clarification about what she meant by "fun" colors because I wasn't asking for anything extraordinary. And, there are photos posted by her showing examples of her work including a brunette with ashy highlights. Her response was "the color you are showing me is blue" and "I don't work with dark hair to ashy colors." Again, I felt shut down by how she was communicating and it didn't seem she was at all interested in any creative solutions for an approach to color. I conceded she really must not want me as a client. read more

I have had my hair cut by Traci about 3 times over the past 2 years. The last time I went, there were white flakes coming off in her comb as she combed my hair, and she explained that's from wax build-up on my hair. (I had also noticed white build-up on my hairbrush at home, but I didn't know what it was. I assumed it was dandruff, and I'm glad that Traci explained what it really was.) She said that the wax was probably from my shampoo. She showed me a shampoo that she sells that doesn't have wax in it and explained how to clean my hair to remove the wax build-up before using the new shampoo. Even though she sells the shampoo, she clearly pointed out that I could also buy the products online and that I didn't have to buy them from her. I decided to buy the shampoo from her because I felt that it was reasonably priced and I wanted to start improving my hair right away, and she gave me the clarifying products for free. I followed her instructions for the clarifying products carefully, and now that my hair is clean and I've been using the new shampoo, it has been so much better! There isn't any build-up in my hairbrush, and my hair feels much lighter now that it's not weighed down by the wax. Today, I got my haircut for the first time after changing shampoos. (It's been about 8 months.) Traci commented that my hair is in very good condition, and I reminded her that it's because of her help clarifying my hair and changing shampoos. :) Traci is very detail oriented. For example, she notices things like the hair on the right side of my head is thicker than the left side, most of my hair is growing out of the back of my head (as opposed to the front or sides), etc. She uses her expertise to give me a haircut that's as close to my reference photos as possible. I have only been getting my haircut about twice per year, so my hair is pretty overgrown when I come in, and Traci puts in a lot of effort to make sure that I leave with a great-looking haircut. Great people at Enzo, but I don't this I've been this upset over a haircut before. I came here a week ago and to be honest, I didn't think it was too bad after she was done. But once I got home and took a better look, I noticed how shaggy some parts looked and the bottom layer was so thin that there's barely anything to tie up. Then came the further disappointment after I washed and dried it. The top layers did not blend nicely with the longer layers and the bottom portion was thin and straggly looking. My sister even said it looked like someone hacked away at my hair with kindergarten scissors. Very upsetting for anyone to hear that about their hair and that wasn't the only bad feedback i had gotten about this hair. I even tried straightening it a bit(My hair is normally straight and sits well after washing so I've never needed to). It just made the unblended layers look more prominent. Not the look I was going for at all.. I'll probably tie this up everyday until it grows out but even doing so, the ponytail looks like a split rats tail. So I've had a bad experience about 1.5 years ago where my hair broke off by my ears after a bad bleach job and I haven't step foot into a salon since :( Since my hair is all grown out and flat- I decided to muster up the courage to get my hair done again. Louie did a great job toning and trimming my hair. He was honest, thorough and really took the time to make sure I was happy with the service. I was wanting to only take 1/2 an inch off but he explained that 1 inch would be better due to damage from previous coloring. It was refreshing to hear a stylist provide me with some guidance instead of just doing as requested or doing what they think is right, without first consulting. He had several stopping checkpoints throughout the cut to make sure I was happy with the length and the layering. When it came around to toning down the yellow in my hair, he asked several questions regarding what my goal was with toning and how dark I wanted to tone it down to. Needless to say, he did a fantastic job and my hair is perfect for the winter days. My goal was to go darker, ashier but still a little warmth. I had my hair baylayage-d (not sure if that's the correct term lol!) and cut by Jenna Kojima. My hair is dark dark brown and I have noticed places I've been to in the past have had trouble with my dark asian hair. Not Jenna though! She explained to me it may be a process to lighten my hair to my desired look. And within the first session, I loved it! She blended the lighter pieces seamlessly into my dark hair. She chose the perfect tone and I couldn't be happier with it. My highlights were not the color I asked to for , I even brought a picture of my cut and color. I spend $200 dollars for a horrible cut and highlights it took forever to get everything done. Color part went perfectly, but then came the trim. I have (had would be a better word now, quite a full head of hair).
