It makes super affordable when I feel like I'm getting a good deal. Everyone is always so nice when I go in. The shop is always clean. And the experience is usually great. My husband and I have gone back and forth with our opinion of Progress Nail salon due to attitude received during prior visits, but ultimately decided to come back because I like the color selection. Never again! Neither of us have ever been so dissatisfied with a pedicure service. I went in with perfectly healthy and nicely shaped toenails, and came out with butchered toes/nails, lumpy paint, and nails cut at an angle. My husband and I can probably look forward to ingrown toenails as a result. I'm hoping I won't get an infection- it's still painful hours later. All my husband and I wanted was a relaxing pedicure, and for me, a pretty new color for my toes. What we received was a painful service served with a side of attitude. These two girls have no business working on people's feet. When dremeling off my existing color, skin was removed. When my husband jumped out of his seat because they took off toenail from the surface of his toe, he was ignored- she had to have seen his reaction, but she continued digging into the side of his toe regardless. He told her it hurt, and rather than apologize, he was told to take some aspirin when he got home. Classy. The only words spoken directly to us were to ask which service we wanted, and if we wanted to add a manicure, and we thankfully declined. That was the last they initiated conversation. They filed the bottom of my husband's feet to the point of pain (today's theme) while digging their fingernails into our skin when 'massaging' our feet. My large toenails were cut down the sides for no reason- they were already trimmed and only needed minimal filing. Any professional should have been able to recognize this, or at very least ask. It was too late by the time I noticed what happened to my previously pretty toes. I noticed they weren't using a fresh file (gross and unsanitary) midway through my service- usually they have a new little file and buffer set they open up fresh for each service, but not today. That's what I get for not paying attention the entire time. From there, they were unnecessarily aggressive and rough when moving my feet around, and rushed through everything- including painting my toenails. They are lumpy, the color uneven, it's on my toes, and the skin around them is hacked up. When I noted a corner of my toe lacked any paint, my hand was thrown out of the way and she begrudgingly 'fixed' it. They look and feel terrible! It's going to take a couple months to get our toes back to normal, and we're VERY unhappy with today's $120 service. Word to the wise- don't go here! They're inconsistent, full of attitude, and if you get the 'B' team, you'll come out with crummy looking toes at best, and an unsanitary painful experience at worst. read more

I got the deluxe pedicure with a gel polish added on and it was fabulous. The treatment felt luxurious, especially the paraffin wax at the end. I came in for a treat to myself after a hard week and felt totally relaxed from the second I sat in the chair. The nail technician I worked with was really nice as well. I went in for a dip fill. I wanted the same color, same shape, same length. I told my tech that one of my nails was broken and that it was super painful, showed her the nail and where it was cracked. She tells me she's going to remove my nails and do a fresh set. A few minutes later she's drilling my broken nail as if I hadn't just told her that it was killing me. Then she roughly wrapped it in acetone and foil which made me jerk and I reminded her, for the fourth time, that nail is broken and that it's painful. She soaked my nails in acetone, left my old tips on, then dipped my nails in acrylic powder. It was obvious that she kept messing up, my nails were looking so chunky and lumpy. She kept using her finger to tap / squeeze / fill spots. Every other salon I've gone to for a dip fill hasn't ever soaked my nails in acetone or used acrylic powder, for a fill. After the acrylic powder disaster, she started the color dip. Then the top coat. She carelessly filed my nails for the 1,000th time AFTER applying the top coat. She didn't tell me to wash my hands until she was completely finished. I'm not a nail tech, I was trying to trust the process since everyone has their own style. Obviously hoping the end result would be good. I wasn't able to get a good look at my nails until I was in my car. God, I regret giving her the benefit of the doubt because I wasted $65. I still tipped her $10 because that's who I am but I won't be back. My nails are terrible, it's very disappointing. Hands down the worst nails I've had. I wish I would've gotten her name / checked to see if her license was on display. Have a feeling she isn't licensed. read more

A pedicure is always a treat and I've been going here for several years. They have changed the basic/express pedi doesn't include even a quick massage and it's still $35 and then a tip. We had made an appt but they yelled for someone in the wax room to come help and the polish looks like it wasn't her best work. I will NOT return to this establishment. I made a last minute appointment to visit Progress Nails & Spa this morning before heading out of town. I'm wearing open toed shoes to a wedding tomorrow so I needed a pedicure and I needed it fast. I was a little nervous when I arrived and saw a line out the door since I was in a hurry, but everything ended up working out perfectly. They were able to get my pedicure started within just a few minutes of my arrival, and they had a variety of options for pedicures ranging from a quick 35 minutes to 50-ish minutes. I expected the 35 minute pedicure to be no frills, but they still went above and beyond to make it a relaxing and luxurious experience. The owner was so friendly from start to finish and made sure to check in with everyone to see if they would like a beverage during their service. It was exactly what I needed and I was able to get on the road just in time. read more

The one star is for the wonderful ladies who worked on our pedicures. I initially set up the appointment for the deluxe 40 minute through their website which was on yelp. Once we checked in, I reiterated to the man at the front desk what we wanted. We were assigned nail techs, and were seated. Our session went on and the techs asked again, what pedicures we would like? I answered and repeated what I said to the front desk. The nail techs worked hard, and efficiently. Thus I am giving them the star. We tipped, and went to pay at the front. The man at the register (who also was the person we checked in with) up charged $20.00 dollars to our bill. I wasn't going to embarrass him in front of his nail techs or customers. I went ahead and took that as a sign to never patronize this business again. I hope he realizes "you never get a second chance to make a good impression!" I honestly hope that he gave $10.00 each to the nail techs who serviced us as extra. I was rushed through picking my color out (the selection of colors is bleh). She bang to buff my nails & after buffing them, she started PAINTING them. Completely skipped over all the grooming of the nails, NO filing, NO cuticle trimming, NO cleaning under the nails. Mind you, my nails were completely jagged and needed to be cut even. I asked her if she was going to cut my nails or groom them and she said "yes honey". So I thought this was some new way of cutting nails & she would do it after the paint was done?? WRONG. I don't know man... I've gone here so often and I don't know why I keep going back. They were great once upon a time. It's seems like every time I go in (always with an appointment set) I wait a long time, and then the rush through the job and I have to constantly jump in and tell them what's not going the way I explained (I.e. Too thick, too wide, color is patchy/uneven, etc.) This time, I went in for a shellac pedicure. I opted for a glitter set. She went 2 coats in and I told her it was very sheer (not like the book) and she said one more coat will fix it. I had an appointment 2/13. This was supposed to be a valentine's day treat for myself but it went horribly wrong. An older man was my nail technician, and he was very standoffish and seemed to be irritated with me, but i'm not sure why. Maybe he was having a bad day. But it made me uncomfortable and I will not be coming back. He did this FULL SET in under 45 minutes, and you can tell it's incredibly sloppy and rushed. I was genuinely embarrassed to be walking out of the salon with my nails looking like that. I had to go home and try to fix them but ended up just removing them because they were so bad. I showed him a reference photo of what I wanted and he looked at it and said he could do it. I tried showing him the photo several more times to show him what was wrong with my nails but he did not seem to understand. I didn't have time for him to redo them so I just ended up leaving. Cant believe I paid for this! I hadn't been to a nail salon in years because it's so difficult to find one that does a good job with solar gel full sets. Attention to detail is important. ALSO- I noticed someone getting a pedicure while I was there and the nail tech was using an ILLEGAL callus remover on a customer. They look like cheese graters and are very sharp & can hurt you easily. They remove too much of the callus and cause them to grow back quicker. They are also difficult to disinfect & prone to spreading bacteria and infections. I'm sure the salon is aware of this & yet they're doing it anyway! I will include a photo so you know what to look out for. This is an illegal business practice! This place definitely felt a little sketchy and unclean. I do not recommended. read more

Update: I visited again today, months after the last experience, and honestly did not recall the reviews I had until I had arrived for the appointment. Booking online is very easy and quick confirmation turn around! I had a shellac manicure today that was much better than the dip set I received a few months ago. Although the nail tech did not ask what shape/length I preferred, the end result was much better! When I went to leave and pay, management told me my services would be covered due to my previous experience. This isn't something I knew or expected when rescheduling, so was very pleasantly surprised! I will likely return to this salon! I would just say be sure to vocalize what you are wanting. read more

I will never go here again. Were my nails beautiful when I left? Yes, but after 2 days my dip manicure started chipping. When I originally got them done they said if they chip, make appointment and come back-they fix for free. So 2 days after I did just that. I got there and they had no time for me (although I had appointment) they couldn't find the dip color I had so they painted over the chip(s) with a similar color (NOT) the guy put the dip on so thick, all my nails were ruined for 6+ weeks because they were sooo thin from the dip chipping off and taking layers of my nail with it. After about 8 visits here I'm still torn on a rating. Pros: ~ The gentleman who is sometimes at the front desk is very friendly and accommodating, positive and patient with a sense of humor, doesn't get flustered even when super busy. ~ Online scheduling is easy and convenient. ~ Good selection of gel and dip colors. ~ I have had several really good mani/pedis, with a couple lovely foot/leg massages. ~ Dedicated parking lot (also conveniently located next to Crumbl Cookie!). Cons: ~ Inconsistent service. I've had wonderful mani/pedis here, I've had some mediocre mani/pedis here, and I've had a couple not-good mani/pedis here. ~ I've had my cuticles cut too short, to the point that they made me bleed, a couple of times. Not fun; that pain lasts for days. When shaping my nails, they also sometimes file down to my finger, and then scrape the emory board across my finger tips until I ask them to stop. ~ Two different times I saw availability on the online schedule but called directly instead of scheduling online, thinking it would be quicker, only to be told they didn't have room for me. Both times I felt like she was scolding me for not planning ahead. ~ I've been getting mani/pedis for 15 years and I've never had the weird toenail shape I was given the last time I went to this location. I had square fingernails and toenails that she saw and ask about, but then she filed my toenails down to a really weird oval that I've literally never seen on anyone's toes. Ever. In fact, I went somewhere else for my last pedi yesterday and the nail tech laughed, asking if I did that to my toenails on purpose. It will take a while to grow them back out to where they can be filed to a 'standard' shape. So, I have mixed feelings. I truly think they want to do well and be a premier nail salon in the area. Some time ago I had posted a negative review after a bad manicure here. They connected my Yelp profile to their customer database and contacted me via cell the next day, asked me to return, and offered to redo my mani for free. I took them up on it, the manicure was great, and I removed the negative review. The good service I sometimes got, coupled with the convenient location and online scheduling kept me going back even after a couple of not-great visits. And I appreciated them following up. But the inconsistency, along with my fingernail cuticle being cut and bleed in the last visit, when I also was given the weird toenail shape, prevent me from giving them a higher rating and from making this my regular, go-to salon. read more

This review is based on having been here roughly 4-5 times. Initially, I was ecstatic to find this place. It looks nice, they do dip gel, and they shape nails great! However, every single time I've been here my nails begging to chip only a few days later - and I'm getting gel! The last straw is when I came in for Mother's Day this past Sunday and for a mani/pedi. During the pedicure, I felt a bit of pain and noticed they were trimming the inside of my big toe nail - which is a huge no no! Cut to today - 5 days later, my toe is swollen and I have a full blown infection. I can't even walk on my foot or wear shoes it is SO painful. Thanks a lot. read more

Kim did a wonderful job on my nails. She was kind and let me change my mind. The only thing that I would say is that dip is not my favorite. It is not as clean of a look as other processes. From what I observed everyone was kind and welcoming and happy to answer my questions. Not a sour attitude in the room. I would say it's sad to see the rude entitlement of the GUESTS so I would imagine the poor reviews about the staff has more to do with people treating THEM like servants rather than gratefully appreciating their artistry.
