I have had builder gel done before and I knew immediately she had packed it on too thick, she filed my nails so thinly it was staring to burn and created the ring of fire on my nails. Terrible salon. I came in with healthy dip nails that needed removing. Nail technician proceeds to just grind it down with an e-file and taking away layers of my nail. She got so close to my nail bed that it started to burn. My nails are so thin now and it's going to take several months grow back. First off I'd like to say that I have frequented this place several times since moving into Westend District Apartments in Beaverton. Called to make an appointment and got in an hour before closing. I asked if they could put tips on my nails and gel and I would come back the next day to have a pedicure. Evidently, an hour is not enough time to put tips on a bare nails with gel. They didn't have time. They lost my business. And it was so convenient to be able to have my nails done where I live. read more

I frequently get pedicures and was definitely disappointed by my results today. I have never had any issue with my pedicure results after getting regular pedicures for 20+ years but today I thought I would try this newer clean nail salon and my feet are so sloppy and uneven. I had the deluxe pedicure and everything was great until I look down at my newly painted toes and two of my toes are slanted on on my foot. They were not trimmed or filed straight. Basically told me my toes are crooked? I have never had anyone say that or have an issue with cutting my toenails straight and my other foot was fine. Ended up with one of my toes completely shorter than the other. She said "well you wanted them short." Yea but why would I want one completely shorter than the others. My husband booked me a pedicure and shellac manicure for my birthday and chose V-Star because it's close to our house. I am extremely disappointed with my shellac manicure because it started peeling/lifting after just 5 days. I'm on day 6 today and I have a nail where half of the polish has peeled off. I don't work with my hands so I know it isn't anything I have done to cause it. I know it's only a matter of time before the rest peels off as well. I would have told the lady but it was very hard to communicate with her in the first place due to our masks and the plexiglass and the noise in the salon. Forgive my grown out nails lol, I meant to take a pic of them fresh but totally forgot. Either way, great service, amazing nails, and great price. I paid $64 for these nails(excluding tip) which is great for acrylic nails with such a cute design. They even wrote out the price before my nails were done which I love, keeps both sides accountable. It's a very quiet shop, still new but hopefully they'll get more customers soon. They also took me as a walk in. Great place. read more

I went in to get some old shellac off my toenails and ended up getting a full on pedicure - I'm glad I did! Van did my nails and gave me a full 30 minute leg massage. I felt like falling asleep and the mint lotion was heavenly. They offer lots of deals and discounts for return customers. My pedicure was $23. I usually do eyebrow threading, but decided what the heck let me try wax once again and went near my home. The lady waxed my brows-- and wasn't even trying. She was done in a minute, said "how you like". Looked at mirror and said, "oh there's a bunch of small hairs". She looked, "where, I don't see, it looks good". I pointed at the small hairs, she tweezed ONE out and said "good". I said "no look at all the small hairs". She said "no looks good". I gave up. Went to pay, no tip and decided to warn anybody. Employees need more training. They poke their nails into your skin. I have gone twice. Not happy with full set of nails or with pedicure.

I normally NEVER do reviews but I asked the nail tech for a simple coffin shape I showed her a picture and she said she could do it and she did an oval shaped I asked them to remove them because I wasn't going to pay $45 for short nails and they charged me $20 for nail removal when they normally charge $10. They clearly need to learn how to do the shape you want them to and they started being rude and throwing my hands around when I wanted to take them off I always get my nails done and by far they've done the WORST job. I came here because it's closer to home but clearly I need to drive 15 mins to #Lovelynailsandspa to get my moneys worth. I have been there a couple times expecting for it to be different but just recently went in for a pedicure I asked if they had time they sat me down and when they putting my polish they tell me they couldn't give me a massage.
