I don't usually go to this place but since I was in the area and in need of a pedi, I stopped by. First off, there weren't that many people working (on a Saturday night, really?) so I had to wait for my pedi. The selection of colors was lacking, and I felt like it was sketchy quality polish. But the thing that bothered me the most was the how the lady who did my nails kept trying to upsell me on EVERYTHING. From "dead skin removal" to a sea salt scrub to a longer massage to a toenail design. It was soooo annoying. I just want what I ask for, nothing else. I used to come here all the time. It's not as clean as it once was. Cleanliness of tools is questionable. This woman is obsessed with using the nippers during my pedicure. Pretty salon but the service was awful. I got gel nails done. 3 of my nails were left gushing blood, and the gel was painted onto my skin, which was extremely uncomfortable. The colors they have painted on their fake nails to pick from are dated and faded, so the color you pick will come out differently. I chose a color that was dark grey with a touch of sparkle, and the color I ended with was deep purple packed with glitter. I'm now stuck with 13 year old girl nails until my gel comes off. We kept trying to tell them the color was wrong an they kept smiling and ignoring us. After 5-6 times they pulled out the color swatches and said they were only a week old, and my nail color will fade in a week. I'm sorry but that is complete BS. My mother got a pedicure and it was very very messy looking, and they refused to clean it up. I would recommend taking your money elsewhere. read more

My husband and I must have gone to every highly-rated-on-yelp nail salon within a 20 min drive of us when we first moved to OC. We couldn't find a place that we thought had good manicures and pedicures, good environment, good chairs,etc. So we finally went to Professionail, which we can basically walk to, and then couldn't believe we'd run all over town. One thing I really like is that they have a large staff, so you can get a mani/pedi pretty fast with two people working on you. I highly recommend Molly or the younger guy that works here (I believe his name is Dan). They are excellent and pay attention to details when shaping and painting and give really great massages (really, really great massages). Many other people who work here are also very good, and a few are not that great. The spa chairs are great, adjustable in a lot of ways. They do the typical upselling for callous removal, etc. But it's not as pushy as in some places. Last I checked, there was no charge to pay with a credit card, but you had to tip in cash, or you could use the ATM for .50 and get cash back. I've also had them do my brows, which has been hit and miss depending on who the tech is. My least favorite thing about the salon is the decor and the music. I also find it weird that they sort of hide the OPI colors (they are in trays at the front desk, but it isn't easy to look through them). I have gone here 3 times. The first time was great. Second time not good customer service but I thought I'd try it one more time. This was my last time. I was charged $4 more for the same service I had gotten 3 weeks prior. The lady doing my nails started to file her nail with the same nail file she was using on me when I asked a question. Maybe it is a hit or miss situation :) The ladies I received sorta spoke english and we would talk to each other or just by body language (*0*).! I had gone to this salon for over 10 years. They continued to try to upsell me every time I went there, but I liked their work so I ignored it. Then one day I went in with a complex design. I was quoted one price, but as the work progressed they kept increasing the price. Not one staff member came to my aid to help me negotiate with the manicurist who did not fully understand English. I was appalled, shocked and disappointed. I had been a good customer since they opened their doors and they treated me so poorly. I had the manicurist remove the work and paid her for a basic manicure. It was more than she deserved, but I wanted to at least pay for her time. It is a shame that they lost me as a customer and all of my friends as well. read more

A decent place. A little on the dirty side (some stains on the floor, dust, rusting pedicure spas). I normally go to Victoria Nail in Orange (THE BEST) but needed a quick manicure and this place is right near my house. The male who works there and checked me in was very nice. I don't know the name of the woman who did my nails, but she did an okay job. I've seen MUCH cleaner french manicures in my day. She asked me if I wanted hot oil 6 times. SIX TIMES. Plus, all the employees just chit-chat in Vietnamese for minutes on end. Honestly, I probably won't ever come back here, even for a quick fix. $13 for a manicure plus $5 for french. went in for acrylic full set french tip, the tip looks crocked so i went back and complain, tiffany did my nails and was happy to fix it, but then after fixing i noticed there was a bubble on the nails , french tip nails should look neat and elegant, but mine was dirty and ugly so i complain again. The ladies that work there are very rude and not consistent with their work. I got my acrylics done and the lady that did them was super rude to me and totally disregarded what I wanted and just did whatever she wanted to do. And when I tried to pay with credit card, she kept swiping it in the machine that took debit card and told me that it wasn't working. Well OBVIOUSLY lady it's a credit card. I have came to this nail salon for many years, and recently have had 4 bad experiences. The reason I kept returning is because, I thought the lady may have not been very good, or the nail polish was bad. My gel never last more than 5 days without it lifting, and/or it's not done evenly. I never personally have had a problem with the nail ladies, but feel the male owner is very rude. I am definitely done giving it the benefit of the doubt, and will not be returning. read more

I like this nail place bc I go in and immediately sit down to get my nails done. BUT I got a full set like I always do and within a week the "gel" that they put on was horrible. This is mediocre at best. Atmosphere is the best part of this place; bright, clean, and friendly. But they give a VERY basic pedicure for $18. I have had MUCH better $10 pedicures everywhere I've been over the past 30 years. They want to up charge just to use a pumice stone on your feet. Sadly though clean and bright, I won't be back. Came here this past Sunday. I was a bit worried the service would be bad because they were so busy. But it wasn't. They gave me a seat right away and Kimberly took care of me. i am updating my review of professionails from 3 years ago, when i wrote that because of my negative experience with pedicures, i only went back for waxing with jennifer, a lovely woman. one day, out of the blue, they told me that jennifer had left and they would no longer offer that service. i wasn't convinced and i believed that they did not want *me* there. i have been reading more recent reviews, which confirm that nothing has changed since i left. this is an unsanitary place that is only interested in realizing the maximum profit in the shortest amount of time, with complete disregard for customer service. the "creepy" guy (your words, not mine) at the desk is the owner and the petulant younger guy is his nephew. but you ain't seen nothing yet, till you have met the wife. she's had more cosmetic surgery than joan rivers! i now go to anaheim hills to do my pedicure, at the home of a fabulous nail technician. we laugh and drink limoncello together. and *everybody* compliments me on the work she does. professionails is an oxymoron, as a number of reviewers have observed. read more

What a delight! My Mom is 80, and she, my sister & I, and my mom's neighbor went to Professionail on Malvern in Fullerton for our Pedicure Party. I found them on the internet. They were wonderful! We called ahead for appt. since there were 4 of us. Got right in, and I asked for someone that was good with seniors for my Mom. Her lady was perfect for her. Gentle, and asked questions about what she wanted. She liked them so much she even got a manuicure. Every step of the way they offered something extra, and always said how much it would be. There were no hidden $ amounts, which I appreciated. The ladies that waited on us did not sit and talk to each other, but were all about customer service. We weren't rushed through. It was just an all around great experience, and I am sure we will be going back there again. And two of us even got zebra striped toenails. They were really fun! and Great price! This place is the worst place ever. I recently came to visit a friend that lives in fullerton and we both decided to get our nails done. i usually dont get my nails done at a salon i acttually do it myself. but for my friends birthday i decided to treat her out with pretty nails and dinner. anyways so both our nails were strong and nice but after we got it done here..our nails started to break and now its so weak. i now have to keep my nails short because i am afraid to grow it. and if i do grow it out it will break. also the people here they dont really do a great job. They work on your nails the way THEY want to do it. for example, when i was getting my nails done i wanted different animal prints on each nail the person who was doing my nails said okay but decided to do just one print because "its too much" for her. seriously? i mean come on (no offense) but youre getting paid to do my nails and if it costs that much im willing to pay for it as long as you do it the way i want my nails to be like. like WTF. also my friends nails? omg. they made it so fake and ugly. she got acrylics and oh dears made it tooooo fake. and my friend wanted to get french tip but the person working on her nails painted all of them with an ugly color. Not the color my friend chose. and also almost all the workers there couldnt even speak english much. and the ones that did they would smile and talk to us and then turn and speak their own language to eachother about us. we could so tell because they would be pointing at us and then laugh and their tone of their voices sounded like they were talking shit. after that i never went back there and never going to in the future too. read more
