I asked for coffin shape and she said that's a 5$ charge...? moving on to doing my nails, a lot of customers show up so she starts rushing and doing my nails really messy. When she was done, I noticed that there was hella nail polish on my skin so I told her it's messy. She pulls me to the side to clean then she tells me "next time I charge for cleaning your cuticles" like really?! Doesn't that come with the whole set? I was trying to find a nail salon in Vallejo since I just moved here from Fremont and came upon this salon on Yelp. Went there on a weekend afternoon and already a customer is fighting with one of the employees there. Definitely not a great first impression, however, I still waited because I desperately needed a pedicure. Waited for about 20 minutes and in the end, my french pedicure was nice however, if I were to compare it to the nail salons in Union City, UC is much better. I watched one of the employees clean out their station and the only thing they use is a sponge and water. No disinfected substance?? No soap?? Not enough sanitation for me. Overall, I am neutral. I would go there again if I don't have time to drive to Union City where they have a better sanitation process and know that I can be a happier customer in the end. read more

The worst pedicure I've ever gotten. The 1 star is for their massage chair, that was the best part. The pedicure was rushed. My toes were not cleaned well and there was still spots of my old polish left on some. Then the Polish was horrible, she didn't even polish the whole nail. Loved the fact that they could fit me in without an appointment for a backfill and Pedi at the same time. The tech who did my fill was very sensitive to be fact that I was also working on my iPad, and was very gracious in helping me keep my iPad clean and safe (out of water lol). That was cool!She was very friendly too. A few things irked me, they used a drill to fill my natural nails on my feet....I felt that was a little too much. There are discolored towels lying around and even though there are techs sitting nearby or walking past, no-one picks them up. Yes, they're lighter colored towels and hard to keep clean...but a little 'Bleach for Colors' could go a long way. I really like them. In comparison to all the other nail salons I've been to, the polish they put onto my nails lasts the longest. For a really long time too! I'm really amazed because I always wear slippers and do some hard labor with my hands. As for the massages, some are short, some are longer. It really depends on who you have as your mani/pedicurist. Since it is a walk away from my favorite hair stylist, I noticed pro nails & decided to give it a try. Walk-ins are welcome but like any other places, don't expect to be seated immediately. They kind of greet their customers in a manner that is not inviting & friendly. But my 1st experience was pleasant so I didn't care, for a basic pedicure I paid $17 before tip. But 2 weeks later I went again & had another experience, they rushed the service, hurried & tried to accommodate everyone that walks in the door/ poor quality & service. This time they asked for $19 before tip. Then I realize they don't have a list of prices to compare. As soon as their done they don't care whether your polish is still wet, they want you out of the chair asap for the next customer. Really really like getting my nails done here. They have an extensive variety of gel colors and can have you in and out in less than an hour for a fill and pedi. They now offer many pedi options too, quick and cheap $18 and extra pampering $28 and up. I always ask for Kay, she is very good and quick. I was referred to this place by my best friend and I'm so glad she introduced me to this salon. Every time I get my nails done here I'm never disappointed. I always go to Kay, she's the bomb! Her work is the best. She's pays attention to detail and doesn't rush through. I especially love the way she shapes nails and files the acrylics on the cuticle part so it's never chunky looking. They always look natural at the cuticle! Today I asked her to do French fade/Baby boomer nails. It was everything I expected and it turned out beautiful! I have been coming here for years even before the new ownership and renovation. I generally get a pink and white with gel overlay, no tip. Kate is my regular lady, although if she is not available Jason does them. Both do a great job. I am very meticulous about my nails, and over the years they have learned to accommodate that. I don't need to tell them anything when I come in anymore. Which I reward well in tips to express my appreciation. My nails always look great and last for about 3 weeks. I always get compliments on them and ask where I get them done at. I would have given 5 stars, but there always is a but. Knowing how hard it is to find a decent place I recommended it to my best girl friend who lives in Fairfield. She, Unfortunately doesn't feel the same way. She is 50/50 loved the pedicurist but not the manicurist. For her not worth the drive out here. Although the place is generally very clean, I just wish I saw a little more in the way of sterilization. So I continue to go, but you have to experience it for yourself. She seemed very nice but as soon as she started I can tell she wasn't clean and wanted to do a rush job. I had to ask for my hands and nails to be cleaned before just adding nails. Probably would not come back. On the plus it was literally the fastest mani/pedi (35 minutes) have ever had. The short haired woman that did my nails yanked my hand so many times I almost thought it was on purpose. And the manicure was literally a joke. Pedicure was short but would give it a 3/5. She was atleast slightly nice. And smiled a few times... the chairs work but are very worn and the selection of colors is crap. Minus 1 star only because I'm not 100% positively sure that they use sterilized tools and new, clean nail files on each customer. I have been in three times now. The first time was for a gel polish on my toes since the regular salon I go to doesn't do it. I liked their color selection and my tech asked me how thick I wanted the lines for my color French. She did exactly what I asked for and did an excellent job. Unfortunately, I don't recall her name but would definitely recognize her face. The second time was to get 4 nails redone (that was done at my regular salon that I typically go to) with clear gel polish and flower art. They had to remove my gel polish, super glue and nail art I had and it was only $10 for that and 4 new coat gel polish with flower art. An older lady was doing it and tried her best to do the nail art but she couldn't get it right. She was humble and kind enough to let her co-worker step in to help and do it for her. I should've taken a photo because they were perfect. Simple and dainty yet decorative. Today, they took me even though it was 4:30 and they close at 5. They took several others behind me too. I was so relieved because my usual place turned me away and I really wanted to get my nails done today. Kay did my full set and I have to admit, she did a pretty phenomenal job. She was so patient and flexible. I wanted my nails shorter after she had already filed them and I could tell she didn't want to because most nail techs want to leave the nails longer. She even told me she couldn't, but she did file them shorter anyway. And she was FAST and didn't hurt me during the nail prepping stage (the electric filing). I have a picture of her final work. What I love the most, is there is no gap at the edges of my nails, she filled and filed them the way it's supposed to be. That had always been my biggest gripe! And for my nails being so short, she did a beautiful job. And their selection for gel powder design is great! read more

I usually hop around from nail salon to nail salon because I never found a good place that I liked! I was seen by Tu I believe and I asked her to make sure my full set acrylic nails were not thick but to make it look natural. And she did what I asked! I loved my nails. Never have I been this happy at any other salon. It was only $20 for my full set. I came back two weeks later to do a fill. One nail broke but the lady, Linda, didn't charge me for it! As she took off my polish, I saw that none of my nails lifted, which amazed me because almost all of the times I've ever gotten my nails done at other places, they always lifted! It was a little painful when she was filing down my nails with her tool, but she did a great job filling my nails. I was only charged $15 for my fill. I will definitely come back to this salon!
