To start off, first overall service from the "nail technician" was horrible sometimes me and my friend would ask questions and she would ignore us and with our preferred inspiration for our nails she would take a glance at the photo no further. She didn't at all ask what type of products we wanted for our nails too. The couch that we had to wait on was so dirty and had all sorts of crumbs and white stuff? Mostly, THE NAILS. The nails given truly have me speechless that she thought that they were okay to give to anyone? Thy are extremely blocky and ugly acrylics as if she was rushing and didn't care at all to even try. Every nail is a different shape than the ones on my other hand, the flowers are just splatters of white with completely 0 effort put into them (please look at pictures!!) they are generally just so so bad and ugly and completely NOTHING i asked for at all and she was aware of this, they were 60$ for something completely unacceptable. Even once i was done my hands were so dirty with glue all around them it was horrendous. DO NOT GO HERE!!! ESPECIALLY if you are a young girl cause they will take advantage for that as a cash grab like they did me and my friend which is just so wrong to do something like that to 2 young girls who she knew weren't really advocating the most for themselves to be nice and respectful and SHE took ADVANTAGE of that. I came in on a Sunday for a pedicure and a builder gel manicure. By Monday night, just one day later, two nails on my right hand were already lifting and coming off. On Tuesday morning, I tried calling because online it showed they were open, but they were actually closed. When I reached her, she said it was due to an emergency, which I completely understood. She told me to come back the next day to fix the nails. When I came back, I was told they had to leave early for a holiday party. Again, I was understanding and asked when I could return. She said Friday. By Friday, all of the nails on my right hand were chipped or coming off. When I arrived for the fix, instead of being professional, she rolled her eyes, shook her head, and told me to go sit down. When she finally came over, I asked what might have happened, and she responded with, "I don't know, this doesn't happen to my customers. I don't know what you did," essentially blaming me for the poor work. She continued to have an attitude the entire time, offered no explanation or apology, and when finished simply said, "There you go, you'll be alright." Nails should not start failing within 24 hours, especially builder gel. Mistakes happen, but the way I was treated was rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. Customer service matters just as much as the quality of the work, and unfortunately this experience lacked both. read more

DO NOT PAY IN ADVANCE OR GIFT TO SOMEONE ON THEIR BEHALF. I received a gift from work team for my birthday to get my nails done here. They sent Fiona $80 (via Zelle - as you can see in my photos) to pay for my appt in advance to surprise me. When it was time to pay, they said they don't accept the pre-payment and they need a physical gift certificate. I told them I'll pay, but they need to send the $80 back to my coworker. They said there's no way of tracking that money and that they don't know how to send the money back. I know how Zelle works - they can send the money back. After 2 of the ladies ganging up on me about this, even with proof of payment to their Zelle account #, they told me to just leave. My appt was $50. So my team basically lost $30 because Fiona wouldn't honor the pre-payment that they said they would honor. So sad. This is why I don't like trying new places. Terrible. read more

Fiona Nails was such a weird experience. I've never been treated like this in a nail salon before. I got a pedicure, and it was the most rushed pedicure of my life. I felt like I was there on a time limit. After they finished my pedicure I walked up from the pedicure chair to sit down to do my gel x nails, whole time I was WAITING while she was on her phone and did it constantly throughout the service. She did NOT make sure my nails were even on both sides and also felt very rushed. She also did half of the process and made me wait for 30 minutes with unfinished nails because she had an appointment with another customer and did half of her service and switched us back AGAIN. This used to be my favorite local nail shop to get my pedicures but the customer service and quality has gone downhill drastically. I went to get a pedicure today and the level of quality was making me deeply question the price also my feet were in the water for only 15-20 mins after I stated I wanted a spa pedicure, then when I commented on him messing up the paint by placing the light directly on my big toe he told me I was too much lol. this is usually my time to relax but the whole process felt rushed and very unwelcoming. HELL NO "DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY GOING TO THE SHOP"*****This place is located at 2150 Springs Rd., Vallejo, CA! Now, I don't normally do this but this woman "Fiona" is an absolute piece of work and very rude! She treated me as if I was ignorant and she wanted to do my nails the way she wanted to, despite how I continue to ask her or mention to her how I'd liked my nails done! She started off by putting " COLORED ACRYLIC" on my nails!! Now lots of people might like that....I do not. I prefer plain acrylic because I often get no polish or something very light depending on what I'm doing! (These orange nails are because I'm getting ready to work for Home Depot Convention ) Next, when she glued on the fake nail (because I had broke off a thumbnail.) she glued it on CROOKED. I try to show her that she glued the nail tip on "CROOKED" she kept telling me "no no it'll be OK"and it was NOT!! I spoke to her in soft tones as not to embarrass her, even though it was just the two of us in there. Her first mistake was having me wait 35 minutes after my schedule appointment. Now did she apologize..."ABSOLUTELY NOT". Who apologize was the woman that she was working on She started telling me that she was tired of people telling her how to do her job. Now don't get it twisted this is not my first time there and she knew that I too was a nail technician! But I guess she chose not to remember that. In the end, I told her that I would pay her for what she had done but to stop. So in the middle of my nails, I got up and walked out. I did try to pay her, but she insisted that I was ungrateful and that I didn't need to pay. (connect those dots for me. Why don't you?) Overall, it was a horrible experience. I've spoken to several women in the area that I know they get their nails done and they too had had similar experiences and no longer go to her. So this is why I'm putting "FIONA" on blast!!! I want to start off this review by saying that I sincerely hope that this shop is able to operate smoothly as they become more settled in. With that being said, my review is based on my experience. I ultimately wasted my time but thankfully another shop came to the rescue. The location for this shop was super convenient for me and I saw several good reviews here on Yelp (which I strongly believe are incentivized / fake). I had a last minute obligation come up for the weekend, so I figured I'd have better luck on a Thursday than I would on a Friday to get a gel pedicure. I called around 2:45 PM and asked if they had any openings for a pedicure in the evening. The woman that I spoke with confirmed that she did, and we settled on 5:30. I headed to the scheduled appointment after a long day of work just to end up annoyed and disappointed. I felt a sense of regret as soon as I walked in. When I walked in, there was one woman doing a set of nails for someone. I believe that this is the woman that I spoke to on the phone. and it looked like she was the only one in the shop. There was a customer patiently waiting in a pedicure chair, and I was advised to sit in an adjacent one. The chairs are older than what I'm used to seeing, but not a dealbreaker for me as long as the massage features work, I'm good. The color options here seemed minimal, at least what was given to customers (the other customer handed me the swatches once she had picked her color). I've never seen a gel collection that small, I'm hoping there were more options in the back or on the way. Phone calls were made attempting to get techs to come in to do the pedicures. It was obviously not something that was planned for, despite appointments being made. RED FLAG #1. A gentleman came into the shop 10 minutes or so later. He immediately started gathering the items needed for a pedicure. I didn't want there to be any confusion since he had just arrived, so I spoke up to ensure that he knew the other woman was there first. I asked if any more staff was coming and both employees lied and said yes, but I could just tell that they didn't have anyone else. RED FLAG #2. What confirmed for me (mentally) that I wouldn't be moving forward with services was seeing them fill an electric tea kettle with water from the sink, plug that kettle into the wall to heat the water, then dump that steaming water into the pedicure bowl, which was lined with PLASTIC. RED FLAG #3 (not the plastic itself, the fact that water that hot was poured directly on it). I am used to pedicure chairs having running water so that techs can fill and drain water directly from the chair. Maybe the chairs here are connected to cold water and the tea kettle water is used to balance the temp . Not sure, won't be back to find out. If that is the case though the hot water may be better off being added last. My suspicions were proven correct and they confirmed that nobody else would be coming (which also confirmed that they lied earlier when they said she was on her way). They asked me to wait 20 or so more minutes. It was at that point that I decided it was best for me to leave. My biggest pet peeve is scheduling appointments with salons when they know that they don't have the staffing or the availability to accommodate the service. It comes off like this is a place that will tell multiple people to come at the same time and have people sitting and waiting until they get to them. This is disrespectful to customers' time. While I have no plans of returning, I hope that this business moves past what may just be growing pains. Luckily for me, another shop was happy to fit me in an hour before they closed, despite how busy they were. I wish this nail shop luck and if you do go I sincerely hope that your experience is better than mine. read more

I called in for a regular pedi appointment (same day) & was given an appointment for 4:40pm. I was a little nervous since I've never been to the salon, but figured I'd give it a try since it was on my way home. At first, I parked in the parking lot (which there was a bunch of weird/ shady characters walking around looking at cars- which I am not accounting for when leaving this review, only the service I received), I walked up to the salon & took a seat at one of the pedicure chairs. From the reviews and photos online this place looks much better than as soon as you step foot inside the salon. But since I had been driving for hours at this point, I sat down and was willing to get the service out of desperation of my toe nails being long overdue. As soon as the service starts, an elder man is the one who is doing my pedi & a woman was also in the salon (presumably Fiona). Fiona brings a square plate (that is dirty with hairs, stains, and other miscellaneous dirt on it) with my set of tools, a yellow scrubber (for bottom of feet), an orange file box, and a white standard nail file. I was immediately concerned after seeing the square plate they were using to hold the tools, but even then was willing to look past it due to the tools being in a blue disinfected baggy (the ones that indicate that they are new & have to be opened up). Fiona (or unknown female) uses a HOT POT to dispense the water into the pedicure chair which is lined with plastic. If you put boiling hot water into plastic - it is bound to made micro tears & bacteria from the bowl are going to be in your foot bath. ***BIG MISTAKE NOT LEAVING AT THIS POINT*** Next the elderly man who is doing my pedi, is extremely rough on my nails, leaving nail polish/ doing a sloppy job, not being mindful if pushing my cuticles was hurting me, and overall did not care about cutting/ filling/ buffing my nails. ***ALSO SHOULD'VE LEFT AT THIS POINT*** Instead, his attention was primarily outside due to the suspicious characters that were looking out at cars & occasionally walking next to the barred door of the shop itself. I occasionally had asked him whether he was going to go back to take the nail polish off the toes where he did not care to, to which he responded saying yes awkwardly and just laughed. Next I get to picking a color. I have yet to in my 10+ years see a salon with such limited color selection. Continuing on, the elder man is now painting my nails. When I thought he had done a bad job at prepping my nails- he did even worse at painting them. I have yet to have had a more careless, rough, and lacking of any care of relaxation in a pedicure ever. To think I had thought I had bad nail experiences before is now actually sort of funny. He asked if I wanted a delux pedi (to get more money), to which I responded no & that I just wanted a regular one (as stated on the phone when I had made the appointment). At this point, the elderly man has painting my toes. I am Shocked to see how badly he painted them, the big toe has discoloration on the left foot due to his lack of care and attention. Not to mention he would USE HIS HANG NAIL ON HIS POINTER FINGER AND THUMB TO FIX WHERE HE WOULD ACCIDENTALLY APPLY NAIL POLISH (where it was not supposed to be). I would not be surprised if this elderly man was not licensed to do nails, and due to my non- confrontational personality I did not have the energy in me to make more issues of the services as I should've. After all, you're spending your hard earned money here, and nails are NOT cheap. Which leads me to my last point- at the end of the service I expected the total to be $35 (as stated on the menu). So I asked this elder man what my total will be & he said $40. So I asked, why is it not $35. His response was that it was an added $5 for tip. I already came in mind with the attitude of going to tip (as I always do)- but was SHOCKED that it was being demanded to my face. Especially after the horrible experience I had here - it surprised he wanted a tip. Some things they lacked that shocked me: they did not once use a scrub on my feet/ legs (which is listed on their menu for a reg pedi), did not use a nail dehydrator (which is standard for ANY service to ensure longevity of nails), used CUTICLE OIL to moisturize my legs (instead of a lotion), and the elder man did not use gloves which makes me wonder about the sanitation of this salon. Overall, it is safe to say I will NEVER be setting foot in this place again. And, I believe that the reviews are fake- had I looked through them more carefully I would've never decided to come here. And now I'm worried about whether I'm going to get some sort of infection due to accidently ending up in this STAY AS FAR AWAY AS YOU CAN FROM HERE. read more

My review is based on my experience and let me tell you I have tried many shops in the past . I currently followed my tech to Napa after she moved, but she is out of town and decided to give someone else a try. Based on all the great reviews I thought I would try it here, what a big mistake. To start I made 2 appointments for 9/18 at 5:30 for a dip and pedicure. We arrived at 5:20pm only Fiona was there she called someone and the guy showed up like 5 minutes later to do my daughters pedicure, then another lady that had an appointment came in and Fiona called to get someone in and could not get anyone, the lady said she could come back tomorrow and the guy told him there will be someone in like in 10 minutes then Fiona called someone else and told the lady to wait like 20 minutes, but she left. I know that because she was doing my nails and saw the two calls she made to two different people. The lady had an appointment, with appointments you need to have the staff to cover already there. Then she started my nails (dip), she burn it a little no bid deal. But after when she was filling the sides of my nails she hurt all my finger because she got to close to the skin, (my fingers still hurt) then she clean my right hand of the cuticles but did not do the left hand, then she lotion my right hand and massage it and did not do the left hand. My dip was not done the right way, I have gotten my nails done for over 15 years and I have not experience what I did yesterday here. Then they fill an electric tea kettle with water from the sink, plug it into the wall to heat and then pour it in the pedicure chair. Now I questions how clean are the pedicure chairs (meaning disinfected)??? Then when you enter be careful there is a dip on the floor and you can't see it, I almost tripped. Also a big thing for me is if we make an appointment the tech should be available when we arrive on time, waiting like 5 minutes no big deal, but over that, not acceptable, especially if you take in a walk in they should calculate how much time it will take them so it does not overlap on a schedule appointment. I believe that everyone's time is precious and valuable and I expect the same in return. I will definitely not be going back and advise others to think twice. I figure if I am paying $50 for 45 minutes for my dip nails the service should be much, much better, and an amazing outcome. My nails on the sides where rough, I had to fix them myself, I don't think my nails will last a week. Wish them the best, was hoping this would of worked out especially since its so close to my house. read more
