Before I went on my trip for a wedding I decided to stop in and get my nails done. I made an appointment before hand just to make sure I could get my nails done on the day I picked. My pedicure went amazing but my appointment for acrylics was a different story. The person doing my nails was dismissive but I get it. It's hard to talk to people all day. I wanted a full manicure but the person only cut my cuticles and filed down my nails. I get to my destination to find that one of my nails never fully cured. I was so excited to get my nails done here because I haven't had my nails done in a long time and from all of the photos on Yelp, they clearly know what they're doing. I requested a gel-X set with tortoise shell design. Quinn was the nail tech I got, and at first he started doing cheetah print. When I told him I wanted tortoise, I showed him the reference photo and he said OK. After a few tries, he simply could not get it and gave up and told me he could do my nails clear which I didn't want so he ended up just soaking my nails off. I wish he would've just told me he couldn't do it in the first place and then I wouldn't have wasted an hour and a half. I'm irritated and disappointed and now my nails look like shit and I can't get them done for at least a month because he filed them so roughly. Plus he cut two of my cuticles, which was very painful when soaking off the gel-x nails. I definitely will not be back. read more

I haven't been to a chop shop in a while, and this is why. Stopped here for last minute nails for a funeral since my tech was out of town. They let a guy who had NO skill do my nails. He didn't know how to do a color acrylic French tip and my nails are UGLY. now less than a week later nails are lifting. If I lived in Vallejo I would be there so fast to have them make this right. For 75 bucks plus a tip (I spent 200 bucks in that place) that he didn't deserve I'm LIVID. I can deal with ugly nails, but low quality, lifting in less than 6 days??? TRASH. I had a really disappointing experience at Ombre Nails. I made an appointment ahead of time, but I still ended up waiting almost two hours before being seated. What made it even more frustrating was seeing a walk-in customer get seated before me, even though I had an appointment. Once I was finally seated, the experience didn't get much better. The nail tech seemed to have an attitude toward me because I'm naturally more introverted and wasn't very talkative. I don't expect to have a conversation the entire time I'm getting my nails done, but I do expect to be treated respectfully. Whenever I asked him to fix or adjust something on my nails, he would give me attitude, which made me feel uncomfortable asking for changes. I'm paying for a service, so I should be able to communicate what I want without feeling like I'm bothering the technician. That being said, my nails actually turned out okay in the end. I would consider giving this salon another try, but only with a different nail tech. Hopefully the next experience would be better, especially when it comes to respecting appointments and providing good customer service. The long wait and the attitude from my nail tech really left a bad impression, but I'm willing to give the salon another chance with someone else. read more

Okay, I've been meaning to do this review for a while. But my whole life has been turned upside down in the past like 3 weeks. So... Bear with me. The first time I came here was awesome Bee did my nails. She was great. I came back for a fill about 2 weeks later with three nails that had popped off and Quinn did my nails. Quinn is amazing. Nothing against Bee, But I will always have Quinn do my nails from here on out. I need a fill so bad right now and my nails are still going. They've grown out. It's been almost 3 weeks! They're still strong. They're not breaking. They're not chipping. They're not peeling. They're not pulling off. They're not lifting. Amazing. I love this place. They can do anything all of the top trends. They even make their own trends. I wanted something simplistic and classy and they were able to do that but with a twist because my two nails one on my pinky and one on my pointer finger that are color different than the French tips that I have on the rest of my nails glow in the dark. That was all Quinn's idea. He's amazing. And just allll Riz. That man has so much personality. And everyone seems to love him. And I totally understand why. Quinn I'm coming back soon!!! read more

Honestly, after two bad experiences at this salon, I'm done coming here. Today, I had to leave with my nails unfinished--just clear plastic tips stuck on--only to go elsewhere to have them removed. I've never been treated so disrespectfully at a nail salon. The last time I was here, a nail tech cut me, and I had to settle for a basic manicure instead of the full set I originally wanted. Despite that, I decided to give this place another chance because one of the technicians does great full sets. However, today's experience was the worst yet. The main guy who sits by the front door--the one who does acrylics--was extremely rough with the drill, to the point where my nails were burning, and I had to pull my hand away. He was clearly rushing because it was busy before Valentine's Day. Midway through my set, he stopped to assist another tech, which I didn't mind, so I waited patiently. But when he returned, he had an attitude because he couldn't do the design I requested. He kept trying to convince me to get pink when I wanted red. When he asked if I wanted a nude base, I hesitated, unsure if it would look good. Instead of helping me decide, he rudely told me to sit to the side so he can help the next person .At that point, I told him he could just take the nails off because his attitude was unacceptable, and I didn't want to wait for another tech. Instead of handling the situation professionally, he started arguing with me, claiming I was rude--even though I've come here many times and always tipped well. He even said tipping doesn't matter, as if to dismiss my loyalty as a customer. The whole interaction was embarrassing and unprofessional. I paid for my pedicure and left. I will never return. I like the setup, size, and service menu at this salon. I got a pedicure and for the first time I added an acrylic tip one of my toe nails... YIKES but my foot negligence and boot wearing broke down the nail on my big toe. So sad! Anyway, my deluxe is pedicure with my special treatment totaled $75. No complaints except that the menu says we get a complimentary beverage with our spa treatment and nothing was offered. I would love to give this place 4 or 5 stars as one of the employees did an amazing job on my pedicure and I have no complaints. Except when I paid with my card everything went through as it should, until 2 weeks later I see my account is overdrawn and got another charge from Ombré nails on my account. I had never went back for a second time especially because it was my very first time there when I got the pedicure. It's funny that 2 weeks later I get the same charge as if I had came back. I called my bank come to find out whatever card transaction they do at that shop will have a reoccurring payment being charged to your bank or the card you use there. So they take money out your account without you knowing. Watch out! I will be paying with cash from now on but they still won't trick me into unjustifiably tipping ! The WORST manicure experience I have ever had. I asked for a gel french tip on regular nails. The nail tech began, and when she was trimming my cuticles, she cut a deep gash on the side of my middle finger. It obviously started bleeding really bad, and instead of grabbing something clean, she wiped my bloody cut on the towel she placed under my hands that had previous nail polish stains and nail filings which is incredibly unsanitary. Then, she pulled out a mysterious bottle of blue liquid (it smelled like alcohol or acetone?) and covered a cotton ball and stuck to my finger while she did the rest of my fingers. At this point I didn't want to cry over spilt milk, but my finger was stinging horribly and it was still bleeding. I asked her to remove it, she did, and it was so much blood and it began to clump on in the crease between my fingernail and skin. Eventually, she was going to just paint over the blood instead of wiping it, I asked her to please wipe it, she said she would, then proceeded to not do that and continue painting over dried blood. I will say I love the base color she used, but the white paint for the tips was so sloppy and the edges were not sharp at all. I asked her to redo like 3 of them until i gave up because she clearly did not hold the skill to produce the french tips i asked for (which is ok... but someone else should have done them then and i wouldn't have minded waiting or just being told they couldn't do it.) Additionally, I noticed that they under-cured the nails. I walked out of that salon with ugly, uncured, bloody nails that day. They ended up peeling off the next day. Huge waste of money. Horrible service and horrible nails. Zero stars if it was possible read more

They charged 10 extra dollars on top of the pedicure price becauae my daughter didn't want gel polish saying she had it when she arrived and they had to remove it. Well duh!
