Noticed after the appointment the nails smelled a bit odd a very funky smell. I cannot describe the smell but it went away after a day or 2 . I read online maybe the prep wasn't correctly done and I believe that to be the case . Paid $65 and gave a good tip because I liked how gentle he was but I noticed the prep wasn't best but I let him do his thing . Very gentle and polite and when he was done I really liked them even though there was some issues with my nails during the appointment that I had to point out or else he would've left them with black speckles and the white polish was left square in some areas and I had to remind him to round it out like the others . He was very patient with me but honestly if I did not point out the issues he would've left it as is . My mother got a gel manicure and pedicure and they came out great ! She was very satisfied and still after a week is still satisfied with the work ! Different experiences but we both had a good time and the staff are very nice just wish the outcome of my nails were different! Would go in again maybe for the manicure but no more acrylic for me . I let it slide, why would they assume I understand, maybe the pedicure would be great? Nope. The woman working on my pedicure was clipping hangnails and pinched my skin twice. This caused a layer of my big toe skin to be raw and my pinkie toe to bleed. I winced in pain multiple times and pulled my feet back. The pedicure itself looked good so I thought the shenanigans were over and the rest of the process of the deluxe pedicure package would go okay. Wrong again. She begins to exfoliate my legs, aggressively and applying pressure directly to my shin bone. I felt like she was upset that I kept wincing in pain multiple times. Unsure if that was the case, but it definitely came off that way. I will not be returning. To the staff of Bellagio: 1) Never assume a customer does not understand, I myself spent all of my 20s in Asia (Specifically Vietnam, Thailand, and Japan). 2) Please be more gentle with the skin on the toes, it is fragile and can bleed easily. 3) When applying an exfoliant or lotion, regardless of trying to massage the leg, apply with little to no force and focus on areas where muscle resides (example: the calves). This is a very pretty salon and has the potential to be great, but staff must display better customer service and general kindness to customers. I was looking forward to nice day of self care while visiting my niece, but now I will not return. People come to the salon to relax, not to be on edge what will happen to their hands or feet next.
