Don't recommend. Seriously. Came here as a last resort since blossom nails weren't open (Sunday) and I requested for acrylic removal but before anything, first glance entering the salon and it was very messy and not tidy at all. I was hesitant to continue to ask for what I want but they immediately helped me since there wasn't much customers. As I was being helped, the person clipped my long acrylics off but what shocked me was the nail clippings were flying everywhere and they DID NOT even try sweeping it aside or even tried to attempt to throw the pieces away. After soaking my nails, they were very persistent trying to do a manicure on me which I kept saying no, but they just gave me a look until I had to repeat myself saying no. The drilling came next to file off the remaining acrylic and when I tell you the lady went OFF on my nails she did. I called yesterday asking for LINDA for a pedicure. They said she went to a different salon. Okayyy. I still needed a Pedicure so I went in anyways. Older lady with short hair and glasses works on me. Goes in on my "INGROWN" That's isn't there because I cut it & do it on my own prior to coming because I've unfortunately been cut to bleeding here before. I've been a customer of Mayas for YEARS. I always go to her for pedicures, I drive from Sacramento for my appointments just for her. I scheduled an appointment for today at 4:15pm... she called me back and asked if I could come at 4:30, I agreed. I get there and wait and noticed someone walked to her chair at 4:30, Maya never looked my way or told me anything. I simply ask her what's going on? My appointment is for 4:30.. she told me "oh I just have to fix her nail"... no communication whatsoever until I said something. Another person told me to sit in the chair and soak my feet while I waited for Maya... I sat for an additional 17 minutes and I left. Very unprofessional, I called and scheduled an appointment for 5:30pm, I got there on time and they made me wait 30 minutes. The guy who did my nails was making and taking calls the whole time he did my nails. Expensive. They tried to charge me 65$ for SHORT plain white French tips. When I told the tech that they normally charge me 65$ for LONG nails he got upset and called the owner and made me talk to him so I asked him why they're charging me the price of long nails and the owner said they raised their prices.. I told him I was not going to pay $65 for short nails when they made me wait 30 minutes and rushed to get my nails done, they were uneven and unclean (had white paint on the nails). They started doing my nails at 6pm and finished at 6:30pm. They say they close at 7:30pm so why are they rushing? The nail tech got aggressive then took my hands and cut the nails off, then yelled at me to get out and never come back. I never raised my voice nor gave him any attitude. I just simply walked out. They are unsanitary, they do not sanitize their equipment. The place is a mess, you can see how disgusting every nail station is. Health and safety! Well this is the last time I'm ever coming here. We came in at 2pm on a Tuesday when there was only one other client and they did nothing but rush through the entire service. My nail tech rushed my nails resulting in bubbles, had attitude about me wanting them shorter (before shaping), and just squeezed out resin instead of actually designing with it. My french tips were crooked, the acrylic was too thick, he glued the nail to my skin and filed it off to separate it. There was no prep done and the nails just look terrible for what we paid. But hey, he did it in under 45 minutes for no reason - they were not busy at all. They rushed my mom's nails and hers are already peeling and have bubbles. I'll be taking my business to Imola Nails instead because at least there I get what I pay for. This set cost $85 - and yes I tipped in addition. Both hands look like this. The resin looks like hot glue, the polish wasn't fully cured, he kept making me take my nails out of the lamp before 30 seconds. The girl who did my pedicure worked on 3 customers the same time she did my feet... she would file my toes, then go work on someone's nails, then come back to me - then go to another customer. My pedi was sloppy and she left polish all on my skin that I had to remove myself at home. If you're that busy, don't take the customer. First time here, never going back. So I leave for a vacation and just wanted to get a pedicure, the entire pedicure was very nice she didn't push me to get a deluxe this or extra price that, I wanted a simple color and simple pedicure. But it went well so I decided to get a fresh set of acrylic overlay nails. The price on the price book was $30 for an acrylic fill. So I thought ok maybe a little less for a full set of acrylic overlay nails since there is no length, no nail to glue on or pricey color, or maybe even the same price. I wanted simple pink acrylic powder, nothing fancy. And clear gel coat on top which is standard. She charged me $50!!!! My nails are Short! Like shorty short. And when I asked her she said that is what it cost. The woman who did my acrylic overlay on my natural nails was pregnant and did not speak to me, no conversation nothing, completely different experience from the female who did my pedi, the lady who did my pedi was a little older but she talked, chatted, asked me about my trip, made suggestions about places to visit and colors for my nails. She was so nice that i decided to also add a nail service. The woman who put my nails on was done with the nails in 22mins start to finish. I wanted to argue, but she was pregnant and I just don't have it in me to argue with a pregnant lady. But I damn near fell back when she said $50! It's not about the price I'll pay whatever price, but I used to get coffin or almond medium nails for that price, this isn't my first time at a nail salon, I'm very aware of prices and inflation, it's about her overcharging me when the price book stated it was much less! If she is willing to lose a longtime customer to gain a couple bucks, it just has me wonder what other corners she cuts in order to gain a profit. Ok...I tried really hard to give the benefit of the doubt. But the reviews on here are right! I went into this shop on Friday and there was only myself and 2 other people in the shop. The lady who went to do my nails sat down, didn't even say hello, and seemed to be annoyed that she had to take me. She made no small talk, and was racing to do my nails. I got the dip with gel paint. And wow.. Not only did she do a horrible job on the paint, she did not go cuticle to cuticle. You can see where the top coat wasn't accurately applied. And to top it off, 2 of my nails chipped already. Not to mention the shape way simple!! And my nails are uneven. Trust the reviews. I will not ever go back to this salon. This place has just gone down hill. Its starting to look more messy everytime I come. Today's visit, however, will be my last. I came in at 545pm for a pedicure and was done by 604pm. I just had the fastest gel manicure in my nail experience history. First the girl dipped my nails in water actually I can't remember if she even dipped both in water it was so fast. Then she did the fastest cuticle removal I ever seen. Then she sprayed with alcohol and preceded to gel polish. Again in the fastest speed I ever seen. I had to point out hang nails she missed. I had to ask her to polish a third time. Oh did I mention that the whole while she appeared to have an attitude like she didn't want to do them in the first place. I have never not tipped in all the years I have been going to different places for a manicures or pedicures. But enough is enough. She gave me change in all $5's and $20's. It gets me that she thought she was entitled to a tip regardless of how nasty her attitude or how poor of job she did. I came into this nail spa whilst en route to SF because it was close to a supercharging station and I had 40 mins to kill while my car was being charged. Now I wish I read the reviews before going in. The manicure I got was extremely bare bones. No soaking between cuticle trimming, no nail cutting (just never ending filing until they were as short as I wanted), and no moisturizing/hand massage. I suppose I didn't specifically inquire if these were included in a basic manicure, but in all the years I've been getting nail services I've never had to ask for them. Finally, the polish application was something I could have done better myself. In fact, when I first came in the tech insisted that my previous polish was gel until he finally used regular nail polish to remove it and said "wow, you did a nice job" so that should have been my first clue as I'm no professional. After the polish was on, the tech could see I wasn't pleased and offered to redo the whole thing again with "a color that wasn't bad in the bottle" but my car was ready to go and so was I. read more

The salon needs to do a better job at ventilating acetone, cleaning up the work area and containers that they use to keep the nail cleaning supplies. The acetone exposure is not only harmful for the customers but it's even more harmful to the employees who stay in their all day long. I called to make an appointment for 3pm. I arrived a few minutes early, waited in my car until 3, and went in. There were plenty of customers in (mostly getting pedicures) and there was no social distancing--even though there were enough pedicure chairs to separate customers who did not arrive together. Though I had an appointment, it didn't seem to matter since they were taking walk ins and no one was available when I arrived. I sat outside to wait. I expected to have to sign a symptom check form and get my temperature taken, but neither of those things happened. I was called in by one of the techs yelling "hey!" to get my attention, then saying "sit over there." I was asked to wash my hands, and of course I obliged. Looking around, all of the techs wore a mask, and one also wore a face shield. Most customers wore a mask. Some wore a mask around their chin, with nose and mouth fully exposed. No mask enforcement. There was a clear plastic barrier between me and the nail tech, but no barrier for those getting pedicures. The metal thing that holds the brush, powder, and liquid was covered in nail dust, and looked as though it had not been cleaned in quite a while. Anyway, I got my gel fill. It looks fine--aggressively average, nothing to *really* complain about, though the gel looks very thick, and it's uneven if you look closely. I got up to pay, and was quoted $35. Fine. Finding that I only had $33 in cash, I handed the tech (the same one who did my nails) my credit card. She said "no credit card." I pointed to the sign taped to the counter that said "all credit cards accepted" and she said that the credit card machine doesn't work. She vaguely pointed toward the back of the salon and said "ATM." I tried to explain that the ATM charges a fee, and on top of that, my bank charges a fee. I said I would get cash from the Chase Bank ATM in the very same strip mall. She said "leave your phone." I asked why, and she said "so you don't steal." Wow. I said no, I'll get the money and come back. She told me to wait and came back with the manager. The manager simply said "you can leave your ID." I again said no, and said I would be back from the ATM with the money. She rolled her eyes and said "oh my god." I did, in fact, return a few minutes later with the cash. I asked for a receipt. The tech (the same one who did my nails) said "we don't have receipts." I said "well you accused me of stealing, I need a receipt." She again got the manager, who wrote "$35" on a receipt template (the cheap one you find at the dollar store) and then stamped it. No date, no name, no nothing. I then left the store. TL;DR: aggressively average nail job with abhorrent customer service. No social distancing, no mask enforcement, advertised the availability of credit cards and then stated the machine was broken only after service was complete (leaving the sign up that said that credit cards were accepted) and then accused the patron of stealing when she stated she was going across the parking lot to get money to pay due to the business' lack of communication. read more
