Paid $90 for a refill + French mani w design and a pedicure and am not happy with my mani. - I wish I had realized that the great reviews were for the two older ladies. I had to keep asking my technician to make my nails on each hand the same length and to even them out so they weren't all pointing in different directions. Ultimately it was clear she had no idea how to do nails since the color is totally uneven/see through (needed more coats but it was too late when I noticed) and the shape of the French tip looks like a toddler did it. Am only adding a star because the nails look okay from afar and the pedicure was fine.

I went here for the first time today. I think I was lucky to get in at the last minute. These are very busy ladies! They were so warm and friendly! Booma did my toes. She was amazing! She took a longer time, massaging my legs and feet, than most salons do. Tina did my nails. She was great! I loved the way my nails turned out! Everyone in the salon were incredibly nice. I think I have found my new nail spa! Just a tip... You will need an appointment. Call a day or two ahead.

Wonderful experience! I called morning of for their earliest opening, got an appointment 30 minutes later for a gel fill and pedicure. The atmosphere was great, lots of regulars. And I love my nails! Will definitely come back again in 2 weeks!

I'm new in town, so instead of driving far away to have my nails done with a lady I've been doing for years, I decided to look for a salon near home. I came across this salon with great reviews. My first time at the salon was with Tina and I like it. I normally have acrylic nails done every 2 weeks, so I booked with Tina again, because I don't like to be going with different people every time. When I got there Tina said this other lady is going to do your nails. I didn't like that, but since I had to leave today at 4am, I had no choice. ( this happened yesterday 10/27/22). I was so disappointed the way my nails came out. Looks worst that if if had done myself at home. $40 plus tip. Unfortunately they lost someone that would have become a regular client.

It was my first time going to this place and Dianne was the sweetest! She made my experience very comfortable. I let her pick my nail color and she did a good job. It looks natural, but still had some sparkle to it when you look up close. I really liked how Dianne took her time and she did a good job with details. I definitely recommend going here! Tina, Diane, and Thuy are at a new location, but their service is still the same, OUTSTANDING. I have been going to An Elegant Affair for over 5 years. They only moved a block or so away, but I would have gone to wherever they moved to. It's a place where they know all their customers and their families. Great services and very reasonable. read more

I'm new to the area so I booked an appointment with An Elegant Affair Salon with an open mind. The place is located across the street from Springtown Center so there was lots of traffic/activity. The lady was nice, and had friendly conversation. As for cleanliness, I didn't see her wipe down any of the chairs even though a customer was there before me. Unfortunately, she also cut her own nails toward the end of my appointment while my nails were drying (UV/gel) so I found that very shocking and unprofessional. On top of that, my mani/pedi was mediocre so safe to say that I won't ever take a leap of faith here again. read more

This Covid pandemic has made people weary about going out, including myself. Sometimes you can only do so much yourself trying to DIY gel nails and giving yourself a mani/pedi. I did ok but having a pro definitely is much better. I decided to actually get out to get a mani pedi to remind myself how it's like to be a girl again. Mostly I missed the ladies who work here and was glad to catch up with Tina who did a great job with my manicure and Boma who gives the best foot and leg massages with pedicures. The shop has changed to accommodate covid guidelines. There is plexiglass between you and your manicurist and pedicurist. Plexiglass is also placed between each nail drying station and each pedicure chair. As busy as the ladies are, they wipe down the seats and counters after each customer use. I can't wait to see them again. If you're a new customer, it's better to call for an appointment, you won't regret it. read more

I called at 12:23pm and they got me in for a 12:30pm appointment for a pedicure ($25). They greeted me at the door, immediately directed me to a chair and began working their magic. 30 minutes from start to finish (+ dry time). *Very clean *Safe (secured door and cameras) *Convenient parking right in front *ALL Covid precautions in place *Very professional staff Reasonable prices: -manicure $15 -pedicure $25 -gel pedicure $35 and up -full set $35 and up -fill $25 and up -nail cut back or repair $5 I come here EVERY time I'm in town and I have never been disappointed. read more

This was my first time here since I've been visiting back to the area. All of the nail salons in the American Canyon/Rancho area of Vallejo are okay but I was kind of unsatisfied with the customer service. This salon was the highest rated outside of Napa county and I see the reason why. The staff was super friendly and kind. Within the first 10 minutes, you could tell they had lots of long time, return customers and it's because they treat them well and like family. The pedicure massage was one of the best I've had in a long time and the prices are really good for the quality of service they provide. I'll happily drive across town to come here from now on. read more

This is definitely my go to nail salon. Tina, Vouma (sorry if it's misspelled!!) and Jade are amazing! Forget all the other salons in Vallejo cause this is the place to go. I only recently started going here regularly almost a year ago and I wish I had found them sooner. The staff here is so friendly and they all take the time to get to know and chat with you. Customers here are loyal and almost every time I'm here, I run into someone that has been going there for several years already. Yes, you may have to wait a bit despite making an appointment, but it's honestly worth it for me because that shows they take their time to do a good job on each client. I'm never disappointed when I come. Just a little tip: bring cash if you don't want to pay the credit card fee. read more

It's been years since I got my nails done, decided to show them a little more love after all the neglect and after searching on Yelp l decided on this location. Made my appt the same day i called in, got a gel mani ($25) & pedi ($35) Duyen was my nail tech and gave me a relaxing pleasant visit. I will be coming back when my nails call for it. read more

We're on vacation and I was looking for a little pampering. This place has favorable reviews so decided to check it out. I wasn't able to get through on the phone so just stopped in. What a great place. The ladies were all super nice. Considering I didn't have an appointment the wait was very reasonable. The technician Duyen did a great job with my mani-pedi, she's very gentle. My 8 yr old daughter was patiently waiting for me and the ladies were all so sweet to her. They even painted her nails and didn't charge me. The atmosphere was calm and relaxing. Everyone was friendly. Very clean. If we lived in the area, I'd be a regular. read more

I called in @9:30am to see if I can get an appointment in today. She told me to come in @2pm. Yay! I was in desperate need of a mani/pedi. I come in and a man greeted me. He made me sanitize my hands, checked my temperature and made me sign a waiver. The salon looked clean and chairs were 6 feet apart. Very organized. Everyone there is really friendly. I never had dipped gel done before and Tina assured me that it would look great. She did not disappoint. I am very happy with everything. I definitely recommend calling and making an appointment. She mentioned that they're not taking walk in's and their hours are actually 9am-6pm. Open everyday except mondays are closed. read more

This was my first time here and I will be back. Clean salon, friendly staff, fast and great nail technician. The only folks allowed inside the salon are the ones with active appointments only. They ask you to sanitize your hands, they take your temp and have you fill out a short form. Plexiglass separates you from any other human. They spray your seat and clean their station between appointments. They also gift you some of the tools they use during your visit. Lol, Tina the owner is very friendly with amazing customer service and she took time but didn't spend all day doing my nails, they look amazing and with great precision! Yeah, they are allowed to open again. Today was my first time back since end of February (I am a regular). You have to have an appointment and the salon has been refigured for safe distancing and they follow all new safety protocols. It was safe, clean and wonderful! I was very hesitant to go back to a salon but after today I encourage you to go back and help these small businesses to survive. read more

The nail tech proceeds to cut my nails really short (I could not see too well that he was doing this) after I specifically told him to just take a little bit of length off to even everything out, and brings out acrylics to place on my fingers. I looked down at my natural nails and they were nubbed. I mean extremely short. I almost started crying as these are the nails I am supposed to get married in. I refused to do the fake nails and told him to just paint my nails as I am on a time restraint and have no other choices. I told him his mistake and he refused to take any accountability. He then tells me he can no longer do the nail shaping that I had originally wanted. He only said sorry at the very end after an incredibly long 30 minutes of awkward silence as I was so unhappy. The color was nothing like the picture but at that point I just wanted to get out of there. The pedicure, to which a different nail tech completed, was pretty good. However, I was not offered any sort of discount for this mistake. I keep looking down at my nails in disappointment. There was even another lady present who had to get her toes redone due to another miscommunication. Like I said, I will never go back and give this establishment another dime. What a waste of money. Edit: since the owner wants to try and say that my nails were not long enough. Yes they were. Pictured below is my inspiration picture and my NATURAL nails when my normal nail tech does it. The photo w the blue and black design was $95 and the set I got today the nude brown stripes was $105. The lady didn't tell me anything about the price when I sat down and showed her what I wanted I go up to the front and she tells me it's gonna be 105 I asked her how my last set was less expensive and I had the same ombre designs plus two 3-D flowers. It had a tiger print nail with ombré and it had gems on it as well and she couldn't explain it to me. She got her manager and the manager just said oh well different designs cost different prices. I said OK I can pay it. That's not the issue. The issue is I'm asking for a breakdown and then she just starts throwing numbers on the calculator and not explain explaining it to me clearly and she's clearly frustrated. Another thing is that everybody in here has a damn attitude for everything. I like the work they do but it seems like they just charging out they ass whatever numbers sound good to them. No thank you. UPDATE. TWO OF MY NAILS POPPED OFF IN LESS THAN 24 hours.i called and went back and they fixed 4 nails for free because two more were lifting. I pointed out that they were lifting after less than 24 hours and the lady got mad and gave em attitude and started talking bad about me to her coworkers. It has now been 5 days and another nail is lifting. I wasted my time and money. I'm not driving back 40 minutes to get this fixed again. I won't be back.

When I asked about it, he simply shook his head. By the next day, while on a trip, several nails had chipped and broken, and within two days the product had lifted from nearly all of them. This cost me additional money and took time away from my vacation with my husband and family to have them redone. This was also very painful. As you can see in the photos, my nails broke quite far down when the product chipped off. Because I was out of town for an extended period and had commitments when I returned, I could not visit Nails Design until today. When I explained the situation, the manager repeatedly insisted I should have come back sooner, despite my explaining that was not possible. I received no apology and felt dismissed. After a lengthy discussion, the manager agreed to redo my nails at no charge. However, after the service, the technician told me I would receive only a 50% discount. I explained that this contradicted the manager's agreement and that I had accepted the pedicure only because my nails were to be redone for free. The technician honored the original agreement, and I paid a full tip for both services. Problems can happen in any business, but what matters is how they are handled. Rather than taking responsibility and apologizing, management repeatedly blamed me for not returning sooner. If you have had good experiences here, I am glad. However, I cannot recommend this salon. The poor workmanship, damage to my nails, and the manager's handling of the situation made this a frustrating experience from start to finish.

I was a little disappointed because I wanted my friend to also be seen by a nail tech at the same time since we had the same appointment. The nail tech who helped me was John. He was really nice and polite to customers. He even gave me a short lesson about nails and acrylics. He's really good at what he does. Although, I do wish my set was a little shorter just to be more practical and makes doing daily activities easier. My set came out really nice though and he was pretty quick at doing so. Unfortunately, my friend didn't start until around 6:30. That's a pretty long wait time for having an appointment. Their prices are reasonable. Also, they offer a stamp card so you can get $5 off your set when you fill it up which I find really useful. Overall, their service was better than most nail shops. When an event comes up, I will most likely go back to them.

During my most recent visit, I specifically requested a particular nail technician to perform my service. Instead of honoring my request or explaining why that technician was unavailable, the manager insisted that another employee do my nails. As a paying customer, I believe I should be able to request the technician I feel most comfortable with, especially when making an appointment or arriving with that expectation. If a requested technician is unavailable, staff should clearly communicate that information in advance whenever possible and offer customers the option to reschedule or choose another technician. The manager's attitude came across as unprofessional and dismissive, which made me feel like my preferences and concerns did not matter. Good customer service involves listening to customers, communicating respectfully, and making reasonable efforts to accommodate requests. Management could improve the customer experience by training staff to explain scheduling decisions politely, acknowledge customer concerns, and provide clear alternatives when requests cannot be met. Because this was my second negative experience at this salon, I do not plan to return. I hope management takes customer feedback seriously and works on improving communication and customer service. Establishing better appointment procedures, confirming technician requests ahead of time, and encouraging more respectful interactions with customers would go a long way toward rebuilding trust and improving overall satisfaction

It wasn't until I was sitting there that I realized how used to bad treatment I'd gotten. Other salons trained me without me even noticing, packed into a tiny space, treated like I'm on a conveyor belt, rushed out before my nails even had time to properly dry. I had honestly forgotten my time and my experience mattered. Delane's brought that back for me. The professionalism was on another level too. No games with the price going up if you don't tip in cash, which is honestly tacky and rude and tells you exactly how little they think of their customers. Nobody crowding me in next to three other people either. It was calm, it was peaceful, it actually felt relaxing instead of stressful. And the cleanliness. Towels were fresh, equipment looked properly cleaned, none of that murky blue water sitting in a dirty container that's clearly been there for who knows how long. Even the bathroom was clean, and that alone tells you a lot about how a place is really run. I know, I know. Getting my nails done in Vallejo means I'm probably asking for a staph infection. But Tina and the other ladies at An Elegant Affair have converted me. They are so cute and friendly. And despite my initial misgivings, it's clean and well-kept. The snob in me was expecting to see mold or something equally distasteful growing in the pedicure foot basin. But I have watched them a number of times clean the equipment and I'm satisfied that their sanitizing procedures are up to my uber-picky standards. This is the nail shop where they ask you how you are and try to set you up with their daughter's boyfriend's brother, all while remembering that you always get a flower on your toe. You're not going to get day spa treatment, but you are going to get fabulous nails and walk out with a smile on your face. read more

First I called multiple times and the phone just rings! Finally came in an told the gal closest to the door that I just wanted a gel manicure. Tina was my nail tech and I told her I just wanted her to clean up the cuticles and my nails a little - my natural nails didn't need to be cut down just filed up a little bit. She filed them so much that they were even with my finger tip! This is NOT what I wanted point blank period (so much for a french manicure polish! I have little boy hands now!! THE best place in the area. It has the CLEANEST, FRIENDLIEST staff with more than reasonable prices and service that goes beyond. I have been going to Tina & Bouma & Tami (not there anymore though) for YEARS. My mom, sisters, aunts, cousins, coworkers, friends - EVERYONE i know goes to them. I go to see the friendly people in Elegant Nails every month. Tina is who does my nails regularly. She is so sweet. She is so interested in learning new things from her clients. And she is a strong business woman. She is very conscious about the Covid-19 layouts and even though the mandates are dropping dramatically, she has voiced she will still abide by the prior rules.
