Pro Movers was highly recommended by a former high school classmate of mine who moved with them to Santa Barbara. Everything was arranged via email which is very convenient for me. The staff of KP and Joycelyn were very fast to respond and answered all of my questions in detail. I graduated from UCLA and called moving companies to move from LA back to the Bay Area. I called movers both in LA and Bay. The prices I got were pretty expensive. When my friend referred me to Pro Movers, I immediately emailed them and gave them the details for my move. It was approaching crunch time and I was becoming nervous, they assured me that they would be able to do the move on such short notice, I was pleasantly surprised also, that they were cheaper than every single moving company I contacted which was a huge plus. On the day of the move and the crew of men (Shun, Josh and Tim) arrived on time and they rolled into my place like wild fire. These guys don't play around. They got down to business right away. They work their butt off. They are well trained and use proper procedures and materials to protect property. The crew of men were working so hard I had to feed them lunch to get them to take a break. It was the only way to get them to stop and take a breather. They got my stuff into their truck from my residence (which required insurance btw, Joycelyn provided insurance coverage over email) and they then followed me to a storage facility a couple of miles away and loaded the rest of my belongings and off we left for Berkeley. Pro Movers arrived at my residence in Los Angeles and 8:35am and by 7:55pm I was in Berkeley with all my stuff unloaded and assembled ready for dinner!! I cannot thank these guys enough! I had a 12' truck full of heavy furniture and boxes that I foolishly thought that me and my sister would be able to move into my apartment by ourselves and very soon learned just how outmatched we were. My property manager recommended we call ProMovers to see if they could send us a team of professional movers in a pinch (they are my building's preferred local moving company as their service, knowledge, and prices are TOP NOTCH). Thank HEAVENS they had a team available! Carlos and his crew were absolutely fantastic! Not only was the price extremely reasonable and affordable, but they also did not charge us a last minute fee that so many other companies do!! They were able to unload and move all my furniture and boxes in record time (less than 2 hours) and even went above and beyond to sort each of my items into the appropriate rooms and help me set up my bed!! Reggie, Tony, and Jaunte (sp?) did a great job with our move. Moved a two-bedroom apartment including upright piano into a trailer parked outside our house for a cross-country move in less than 3 hours. We had to fit everything in 13 linear feet and most impressively, Reggie packed it so tight that we were able to only use 11ft (saving me some extra $$ with the cross-country company). My girlfriend and I were moving in together and Pro Movers were able to stop at both of our places to pick up furniture before reaching the final destination. We both lived in older apartment buildings above the ground floor which both had very tight staircases. Fred and Jontae were awesome in navigating a number of larger, heavier items down these staircases in one piece. All of these stops were in heavy urban areas of the city and they were able to navigate a number of obstacles throughout the day like pros.
