AK and his crew did amazing job moving us from northern CA to Salt Lake. Original communication and estimating was easy and fast (pricing was very competitive!!!). When a week before our move we needed to change a date by two weeks because of construction delays, that was not a problem. When at the last minute we asked if we can add a piano to the list of moved items, that was fine as well. But most importantly was the care the guys took with our items! They wrapped every piece in the soft blanket and added plastic wrapping outside to keep in place. They stacked items in the way that nothing would get damaged. On delivery, they were on time and moved everything to designated rooms and assembled everything we needed! No scratches or damages in the house when moved out or moved in! All the horror stories I heard from friends who have moved before and I was so worried about - not the case with this team! Highly recommend! read more

Great sales pitch. Reasonably priced, though excessive. We are awaiting compensation for damaged items and flooring. We are fortunate to have a great number of photos and detailed videos of willful negligence by the unloading team. Truly hoping Sam and team do the right thing. The packout team were okay, though expensive items were not crated as promised by Sam, and they carelessly unplugged a refrigerator for no reason, didn't mention doing do and it caused damage to our flooring due to condensation. Theft and unprofessionalism. Beware! Sam's team understaffed our move, sending fewer people than was agreed upon. This caused substantial delays in loading and unpacking. Sam's team refused to assemble furniture, including the crib for our newborn, as was stipulated in our contract. As I stated at a house full of u assembled furniture, Sam kept calling me to make the second half of payment. Damage to our new walls during unloading. Sam stated that he would provide info to contact their claims department, but he never did. More egregiously, Sam's team made off with two high ticked items: our Levoit Core600s air purifier, and our Ubiquiti Enterprise 8 Poe network switch. Thoroughly disappointed by the team and service, given that we paid 12k for the move. read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! AK, Alex and Argo were great! Did everything that we asked for. They were very polite and efficient (only applies to the team that handled the packing of our stuff before the move). All went really downhill from that point!!! Our entire autumn/winter clothes collection, that was really valuable, was lost during the move. We were promised to be compensated, but we are being ghosted by the representative since then (few months by now), and no compensation was ever provided. Other issues with the service during delivery stage included: - The scheduling misinformation caused us a great stress. - Completely unprofessional staff for unpacking part (2 boys with no tools, literally - no tools, I had to provide them with my manicure scissors for unpacking). Unpacking was a joke and probably took twice longer just for the fact that those men were not equipped at all for the task at hand. read more

Please do not trust this company with your long distance move. I chose this company over others based on great reviews and that was a bad mistake. In our interstate move from CA to AZ, multiple furniture items were broken since they clearly were not handled with care. For example, the legs on my antique desk were broken off and the mover tried to hide it by re-assembling it together when clearly if you simply touched the desk it would topple over. This item is priceless to me because it was an inherited piece from my mother. My daybed had a chunk taken out of the fabric and cushion and a side table had one leg ripped off. The movers did NOT unwrap any furniture besides the two items they reassembled. This left several hours of work for us to unwrap the furniture of plastic film and moving blankets. Not only that but about 10 boxes were not even placed in the right rooms. They just half assed the job and left the boxes in the living room not bothering to check which room to place them in. This company might be good for short moves locally but was absolutely a poor choice for an interstate move. I'm still so upset, please look elsewhere and beware of this company. I entrusted them with my valuable furniture and belongings and several items are now trashed. I am planning to make an insurance claim and hope that I can get some reimbursement however, moving is already stressful and having to deal with broken furniture is just not what you would expect after paying them a lot of money for this move. read more

I vetted out multiple moving companies for my out of state move, and I was set on hiring XT because of the reviews. During the move they had the wrong address on file so the movers were late. Not their fault and things happen so I wasn't too worried. They got to the destination and delivered all of my items. When I unwrapped my tv I realized that it was broken during the moving process. I reached out and they offered me $100.......i could have had this tv for another 10 years, it was in great shape. I told them $100 wouldn't cut it so they came back and offered $200. I realized I was not going to get anywhere so I took that refund, but I cannot believe that they think that's ok. Overall, I thought I could trust them with my items and I am disappointed with the lack of care or service that was provided. They reached the destination on time which was positive and the movers were nice but the overall experience was not good. read more

I originally gave this company five stars because they were fantastic when they picked up all of our things. Everything (or we thought everything) was delivered in Colorado within a few weeks. However, we were unable to open a lot of the boxes containing my late father's Northwest Coast Indian artwork until our basement was finished. We opened it about a year after it was delivered and discovered that we are missing at least 13 prints and I can't get anyone to reply to messages asking if they know where the artwork went :( read more

This wasn't an option for us as we needed to be out by 2pm, and we called Xt who scrambled to get us two men to our home in less than an hour and a half. From start to finish my experience with XT movers was excellent. I moved Oakland to Ventura and I was pretty anxious about everything, on top of that I'd never hired movers. When requesting a quote, Luke was quick to respond and addressed any questions I had about pricing and the process. Their quote came in cheaper than other movers and did not charge a premium for using a credit card to pay. I scheduled over a month prior to our move, and they showed up on time the day we scheduled, calling to let me know a half hour before they arrived. On the day of the move, Oma and his team showed up and got straight to work. I couldn't believe how fast they worked, they had all the boxes and furniture from my one bedroom apartment on the truck in under two hours! On top of that, I live on a second floor with a narrow stairwell and they did a great job navigating the space carefully even with large furniture. When it was all loaded on the truck I had a moment of despair, because I realized I had too much stuff to fit into the storage unit I had lined up. I tried to find my own solution but eventually realized I would need to ask them if they could drop some items off at a different location. I literally called Oma 30 minutes before we met up at the storage unit, and without hesitation he told me it wasn't a problem for them to accommodate the last minute request. Truly a life saver because I had no one else to help me at that point. Despite unloading at two different locations 20 minutes apart, these guys were done dropping our stuff off in less time than it took to load it. Bottom line, XT provides a good service at a competitive price. Their movers were helpful every step of the way in addition to being on time, efficient, and courteous. Our experience with XT was phenomenal! We chose them for our intrastate move from California to Oregon. Caleb came to our home to give us an estimate. From the get-go, he was reliable, responsive, and easy to work with. On the day of the move, Sam was the foreman. His crew was pleasant and efficient. They wrapped our furniture and mattresses in plastic and/or blankets, disassembled large pieces of furniture, and treated our belongings carefully. Two days later, Sam showed up on time with our possessions. He and his crew were troopers! They carried our stuff up three flights of stairs in the rain while maintaining cheerfulness and civility. AK and his team arrived on time to my storage unit to load all my belongings (and wrap and protect all my furniture!). They were able to load a full 10x20 unit in about 3 hours. After having an in-person walk thru with Caleb were were assured of a good local move that would cater to our needs. Moving from a large 4 bedroom home with office to a smaller townhome. We had barely any furniture as we were down-sizing so were assured the job was going to be easy. To be clear, we lived on a steep drive. We booked XT based upon our positive initial meeting, the price and the reviews on Yelp. Buyer beware. Come move day a team of very young and inexperienced guys arrived. They were very kind, etc but obviously didn't have much moving experience. There was no covering of the floors at either end of the home as promised. We had just laid new flooring at the destination so this was an issue at delivery. They didn't have enough closet boxes for the move - something we specified we needed A LOT of. They came with 4 of the rectangular closet boxes, 2 of which didn't have hanging bars - to give an idea of how inadequate this was, the walk thru showed 2 double built in closets, a coat closet and 2 walk in closets. They didn't have any spares in the truck, so we had to make do at the last minute by throwing all our clothes into random boxes. If we'd known beforehand, we could have changed our packing plans. We were also assured they would take our bed frames fully apart for transport. this didn't happen either. There were only 2. When we arrived at the destination they had no way to get our queen bed frame inside, so had to come in thru sliding doors. Bed frame arrived dirty from scraping it inside. Once we started to open our boxes we discovered a number of crockery items broken - in fact smashed. This could only occur when something had been mishandled. I've moved many times in my life - 3 international moves - 7 local moves - and never had this lack of attention to detail. If you don't care about your stuff and want a cheap move, then this is the group. People are very nice but perhaps because we were a local move we didn't get the experience we expected. read more

Sam, Tom and their crew met and exceeded our expectations. After calling multiple companies they came in far below everyone else's quotes for interstate move from San Francisco to Portland Oregon. They quoted a flat rate to pack everything and overnight deliver to our new place. Sam in the office was extremely responsive, attentive and agreeable. They even agreed to make an extra stop at a storage unit in a different city on the way up to pick up more belongings for us at no extra cost. Unbelievable. Day of move they showed up on time, team was 4 ppl, they're all incredibly hard working and strong. Only stopping for small 5 minute breaks and a 30 minute lunch. They packed our 26' truck from 10am to 4pm. Then arrived Portland at 4pm the following day. Honestly it was hard for us to make it as quickly. Two people unpacked us from 4-10pm and even took all our trash at the end. We had very limited items damaged, one ceramic pot and a couple small scuffs that should come out on our stairs and bed frame. I tipped them well, I think they work too hard as they left Portland at 11pm to make it back to Bay Area for a move at 9am the following day. Even skipping lunch today.
