I had 2 emergency moves and they were quick and very responsive. Barely had anything packed and still made it in good time with great hourly rate for 3 guys. Chico was accessible morning to the evening and did a great job managing the workers and keeping things quick and timely. Nothing was missing or broken. They were on time and wore masks. My family member is about to use their services as well. I highly recommend Pro Movers. read more

Quick and easy experience. No hidden fees and a very competitive rate! Highly recommend read more

In late 2018 I needed a moving company; at a time when Oakland was in major growth , when businesses were moving in not out. I called at least 3 other moving companies ; all of which were booked more than 3 weeks out , all gave much higher pricing /quotes, and a much more restricted time for "the move". I WAS VERY IMPRESSED WITH PRO MOVERS ! Hard working and Good in all areas of the move, pricing, dependability, and job completion. I would call Pro Movers again, AND FIRST, anytime, should I need help moving read more

Everything was 5-star with our moving experience. Communication with booking was clear and prompt. I can't say enough about Chico and his moving team. Our move was not easy, a lot of awkward furniture and stairs. The team was polite, wore masks, and were clear with their communication. And they worked extremely fast! I had to follow up with them for a small issue after the move and they handled it fast and professionally. I will absolutely use them again if we move again. read more

Chico & the rest of the crew are awesome!! Pro Movers just helped us pack our apartment & load up a POD as we prepared to move to Denver. We had Peggy and her sister pack our apartment & we loved having their help. They were very easy going and welcoming. The loaders were great too. Overall, if I lived in the area and needed to move again I would have been calling Pro Movers again. Their pricing & flexibility is unmatched. read more

I called Pro Movers and based on the amount of things I needed moved (a studio apartment worth of things), a representative recommended two people to help me move. I was provided with an hourly labor quote and had my preferred moving time booked immediately. On moving day, Chico and Jalen from Pro Movers arrived promptly at the meeting time and made my move from Oakland to San Francisco a breeze! They went above an beyond to ensure everything was loaded and unloaded quickly and efficiently. They even disassembled and reassembled my bed frame for me! I could not have made the move across the bridge without them. Thanks Chico and Jalen! read more

I am so grateful that a close friend recommended pro movers to me ! They are very professional, reliable, fast and flexible. They showed up with a huge truck, moving blankets, dollys and plastic wrap to ensure the safest transport of my belongings. They were very friendly and prompt. If I move again I will 100% call them for help. I highly recommend pro movers. If you're thinking to hire movers this is your sign to call Pro Movers. I watched a YouTube video that said color color coding/ numbering rooms/ boxes makes the moving process easier haha. I numbered all the rooms and numbered the boxes I needed a in those rooms accordingly. They said it was helpful to them. 5 stars. read more

Pro Movers - Movers Near Me - Oakland, California

Extremely efficient and reasonably priced team of 3 guys. They moved my furniture, picked up some furniture that I had purchased, and disposed of some furniture that I no longer needed, all in under 3 hours. They even fixed up a pre-owned dresser that I bought that had a few nails sticking out the back. Couldn't recommend this team enough, they did a great job. read more

We used pro movers for our move today and I had to write a review ASAP. Chico was communicative leading up to the day. All three movers on the day of were competent and fast. I've never had movers before so I didn't know what to expect, they definitely exceeded every expectation. We were not very organized, it was a tough move, we had a tiny elevator and some large cabinets they had to take downstairs in the literal pouring rain. No complaints, they were super kind throughout. Their truck was big. It was a major relief having them. read more

We recently hired Pro Movers for a local, in-state move. The team was responsive and helpful and made our move easy, especially considering the amount of belongings we had. I would highly recommend their services! read more

I used Pro Movers last month for moving a 2 bedroom apartment to a house in Richmond. They were on-time (in fact a little ahead of time), very communicative. Came with the perfect equipment and tools. I didn't have to lift a finger and everything was transported in 2 hours (which was their quote for the limited items i needed moving) and located exactly where I wanted in the new house. They disassembled my heavy recliner and put it together as well. Very reasonably priced in this crazy market. If I need movers again, I won't hesitate to use the Pros! read more

Chico and his crew made our move go super smoothly! It was easy to coordinate with him. He bought all the packing material, came and packed all our stuff in our condo one day, and came the next day with 4 people to move everything across the bay. It was so hassle-free! All important for most of us- it was a great value. We were originally planning to have 2 movers, but Chico recommended 4, and he gave us a very discounted rate that saved us time and money. It ended up being only $1100 for everything, and I will say we had a lot of stuff (7 large furniture items, books, clothes, kitchen items, and many miscellaneous items). I could tell giving us a fair price was a big concern for Chico. They are good honest people whose business I would love to see flourish. I highly recommend them to my friends and I hope you will use their services as well! read more

I give a perfect rating because of customer service and responsiveness. I had an unexpected situation and needed a move on a late Saturday afternoon. Chico and his crew showed up within an hour and supported my move. I do suggest that the extra staff be trained from a "white glove" perspective about how to avoid dropping and scratching furniture. One item was broken. However, overall i will continue to use Pro Movers for my planned moves. Heart hoes a long way with me and he demonstrated a lot of heart. Thank you Chico and crew!!!?! Be well!!!î read more

Pro Movers was awesome!! I had no idea how I was going to make my move. I was moving from LA back home to the Bay. When I left 6 years ago, everything I had fit in the back seat of my Accord. Now??!? ‍ I had an entire super full one bedroom apartment I needed to move. I had movers in LA help my mother and I load my 15' Uhaul and I drove it up. I had ONE DAY to find movers, AND have them move EVERYTHING before I needed to return the truck. One day turned into 10 hours. I called around to literally a dozen places and Pro Movers was the most helpful, most professional and the only company compassionate about my urgency. Kalin was super helpful, and connected me with Johnte and Reggie. These men unloaded my truck and moved everything into my apartment in like an hour and hour and a half - in the rain!! But here's the kicker - I live on the third floor with no elevator! I would definitely recommend them and hire them again. read more

Pro Movers did a phenomenal job helping me out with a small moving job. I had been getting either the brush-off or gouging minimum estimates from other competitors in the area due to the fact that it wasn't a move of epic proportions. I was given a fair and reasonable estimate on the phone. The movers arrived on time, worked swiftly and efficiently, with positive attitudes and took extra care to wrap/buffer/safeguard my property from possible damage. Be sure to extend them a fat tip for the effort and great attitude. I highly recommend this crew! read more

Absolutely great movers! They were on time, incredibly helpful and thorough when it came to transport and car of my things! They were also super personable and easy to talk to and laugh with! Their price was great especially when compared to other movers in the area, I plan to recommend them to my friends and anyone else who's looking for movers! read more

We were happy with the moving services provided by Pro-Movers. They worked with us as our moving date kept changing and showed up timely on the day of the move. The rate was super fair and they even gave us discounts we weren't expecting but really appreciated. read more

My move services by MooveInc were cancelled the night before I was scheduled to move. (I had reserved their services many weeks in advance). So at 6:50 p.m. I called Pro Movers and was able to reach Kallin/Chico. Thank my lucky stars! He came up with a viable reasonably priced plan and helped me move my 4 br house that I had lived in x 12 years. Chico (part-owner) and his helpful assistants Demari and Michael commenced to work their tails off for the next two days. Very careful, good communicators, can-do attitude! And I am now safely (albeit temporarily) ensconced in another home in Oakland till I can move to my forever home in San Leandro. (Of course Pro Movers will again help me.) They packed and moved items to three different locations and took me for a dump run @ the end. Above and beyond: Pro Movers! read more

Pro Movers did everything expected and really set themselves apart. We had a same day issue when moving into our building where the elevator was unexpectedly broken, they were extremely accomodating, promptly discussed the new scope of work and proceeded to knock out the job. During the move, unfortunately, a mishap happened and a dresser broke. Some things can't be avoided when paramaters of jobs change unexpectedly. Pro Movers assured us they would take care of the issue and made right on a repair. The crew was great very friendly, humourous, prompt and expediently moved our possessions to their new home. I would recomend Pro Movers and their excellent crew. read more

BAIT AND SWITCH This is the worst moving co. They did a bait and switch on be I was given a quote when the truck arrived the wanted to charge me another 4000 dollars. I paid for packing and driver said he was not packing anything. He called his boss and took photos of everything I said I needed moved. in the video was items I was not shipping along with items I already packed. I showed him a chair I forgot to add to the list was told 90.oo dollars to add it. I was on the phone with the company and told them i was not giving them that amount of money. Over 5000 The driver left my house without even waiting for the co. to finish talking to me . I than said i wanted a refund of my 500 dollar deposit that was when i was told i refused service. I have a witness to all this I just saw where they deleted some reviews I guess they don't like the truth read more

Chico was a life saver when I needed a last minute move! Highly recommend for his care and attention to detail.

Although I did not directly work with Pro Movers, I called to obtain a quote for a move from the Peninsula to East Bay and they told me it wasn't financially feasible on my end because they are based in Oakland. Helped a friend and family move over the weekend. They hired Pro Movers to move the large and heavy items as too lighten the burden on helping friends. Reggie and, I believe Antonio, showed up right on time. They were organized, had all the equipment necessary to do the job AND they were cheerful. They helped make short business out of what could have been a long day. These guys were top notch and they took all means possible to protect the furniture they were moving as well as the floors and surrounding areas at both ends of the move. I would definitely recommend Pro Movers to anyone needing movers in the Bay Area. read more

Chico and a coworker helped me move several large pieces of furniture from a storage unit in Oakland to a rental house in Kensington. There was a hiccup when we met at the storage unit only to discover that the storage facility had decided not to allow access that day, but Chico and colleague rolled with the need to reschedule. They were fast, careful, and flexible, and they even helped me reassemble the bed after moving it in, and assemble a few ikea purchases, which we had not planned for ahead of time. Super professional, reasonable rates. I would highly recommend them, and plan to use them again next time I need to do a move. read more

ProMovers made moving an absolute breeze! First, I called and requested my date. Then later called and changed to an earlier date, and they were super accommodating. I got quotes from three other companies, and ProMovers had the best rates! No extra truck fee or gas fee or mileage fee to worry about. The crew arrived early, and were fast and efficient and all my items arrived in perfect condition. I will definitely use them again as well as recommend them! read more

Pro Movers arrived on time. Throughout the entire moving, they proved to be reliable and confident in their skills. Chico and his team (I requested 3 people) worked hard. They formed a cohesive and friendly team who knew each other well and cared for each other and the customer. This is an important factor during a moving because the team is fast and attentive and caring at the same time. I had read plenty of moving companies reviews on Yelp before choosing them. The decisive factor was talking on the phone with Chico. He is an awesome person who inspires trust. I am happy that I have chosen them. I felt the stress of moving quickly disappearing. I will certainly contact Chico and his team again for my next move. read more

These guys were quick, prepared and professional. I had just broken up with my girlfriend of 2 years and was moving out of our apartment. They made a hard time easy. Kollin and his team were super flexible for my move. Excellent at communicating with me even thou my pod container delivery was delayed. Kollin made sure to help me move during a short window of hours that worked for me. I honestly do appreciate both him and his team for such hard work at every level and making sure no damages happened during the entire move. During the entire moving process, we chatted about the growth of Pro Mover as a company and I can tell he is passionate about the company. read more

The reason I'm leaving a 4 stars instead of a 5 stars is because one of my luggage's handle is damaged during the move. But other than that these guys are real Pro and very friendly, the job was done in only 2 hours for our 1 bedroom apartment, Bravo to the efficiency, and the price is also very competitive in this area. read more

This was a great experience! I called a bunch of moving companies in the area to have my upright piano moved down one flight of stairs from our apartment out to the studio space in our back yard, and every quote I got was like $1,000 PLUS! I understand the complexity and effort required to do such a job, and I know there are a lot of additional elements involved (like some companies had certification, etc...) but this was just too far out of our price range. I called up Pro Movers, and Chico was super prompt in getting back to me, and hooked me up with a great price. Him and his crew were actually able to come over a few days earlier than planned, and did a great job moving my piano! All three employees were professional, courteous, respectful, and of course most important of all, took great care moving my piano -- which happens to be the piano I learned to play on as a child and which I have a close attachment to. I highly recommend Pro Movers, and will happily reach out to them again for my next move! read more
