We had our move from north Cal (San Jose) to south Cal (Lake Forest) done by Tip Top at the end of September, almost 3 months ago. All went well, pretty efficient and right on schedule. The initial contact, consulting on the details of the move and setting up schedule with Jacob was very good; all concerns, questions were explained clearly. Jacob was very responsive and very accommodating to our preferred moving date. Since we preferred to pack household stuffs ourself into boxes days before, our boxes are all ready on the moving date. Moving cost is a flat rate with all wrapping material covered, no add on charge, took about 2 hours for loading boxes and furnitures. Moving cost is fair, a bit lower than couple other companies we contacted. 2 guys assigned on the move, Mike and Alex, were very prompt and worked fast on the loading/unloading days. To avoid the late delivery, we preferred and ordered the delivery (unloading and setting up/installing furniture) on the next morning. Since they stay overnight in South Cal, the 2 guys was a bit hurry in getting back after the delivery. Anyway, everything turns out good, no big issues. This is my second time moving with Tip Top Movers and the experience was great again! They are really no frills, quickly responsive, hardworking, and have a great attitude :) Jacob returns calls quickly for inquiries, and I've scheduled my moves very close to the date (less than a week) and they have immediate availabilities. The movers come right on time, and have all the necessary equipment. Volodymyr even tightened the screws on my wobbly desk because it bothered me! A 2bd plus living room move took around 5 hours total for a 2 person team. We had a pretty messy house going with dogs running around but they were very sweet and worked swiftly. It's a flat $115/hr with cash, and no hidden fees or other random charges. They don't charge for drive time if it's under 10 min away. Jacob and his teammate (I forgot his name sorry ) were amazing in helping me move from San Mateo to the city. I had a lot of stuff and have some precious cargo (big heavy mirror, wooden standing shelf, large standing closet rack) and they handled everything with care. I also had weird stairs in the place I was moving out of and they were able to take everything down carefully and successfully! I was very comfortable with them moving all my things, which was a huge relief for me. Communication was also great from both of them!! Great work, fair price! Nothing was broken or scratched! They were able to carry a giant bookcase up five stairs without disassembling. Also, they were able to fit my sofa into the elevator. How did they do it? Idk. They put my bed together quickly and replaced a lost screw. Good as new! They were swift and moved my entire one bedroom/bathroom apartment in two hours. He came to my place to give me an accurate estimate and he mentioned it would take 8-9 hours for two movers and 6-7 hours for three movers. I went with three-mover option to speed up the process. However, it took almost 12 hours to finish the work. I understand that estimates could be a bit off but not 100% especially because he came and physically checked the amount of stuff I had. I really felt like they were stretching the work too much. For example, his team came with manual tool set for disassembling furniture, which is very inefficient. This is a simple example of why it took way longer than they estimated. The furniture wasn't assembled properly either. I won't hire them again or won't recommend to others. read more

We recently moved about an hour and a half away. The move ended up being on one of the hottest days of the year! The movers showed up on time, they were professional, friendly and efficient. The movers did a great job wrapping everything and making sure it was packed well in the truck. I was a bit worried about our TV, but it arrived without any marks or evidence of rubbing anything.
