BUYERS BEWARE I would give PRIMARK a zero if I could. Never been in the store before but my daughter received a gift for her birthday. The exact outfit is still available for purchase and the tags are in tact, it's just too small. Went in for an exchange or store credit and they said NO!!! They need proof of purchase, it's clear it came from your store! NEVER will I purchase anything from this chain. If you purchase a gift be sure to get a gift receipt or your basically throwing your money away. This is just plain bad customer service! HORRIBLE PRIMARK...HORRIBLE! read more

Good clothes, good prices, disgraceful customer service. Walked into the store with my girlfriend and saw a rack for a dress that clearly says $11 on the ground floor even though the tag on the dress says $21. She tried it on and we wanted to take it so we went shopping for more stuff and went to the cashier on the third floor. The scanner said $21 so I asked them why it said $11 downstairs. The supervisor contacted the manager and the manager said " it is $21 " I said ok no problem. The supervisor asked me to go down take a pic of the rack and show them so when I went downstairs to take a picture they have already removed the $11 tag and when I confronted the manager he said " oh we removed it 2 hours ago ". Not sure who hires these liars as managers but they're definitely not doing a good job. read more

The store is absolutely gigantic and my family and I spent around 2 hours. The prices are very low but the clothes are very nice and there are plenty of options to choose from. They have clothes for men, women, and children along with some household items such as storage containers and suitcases. read more

Definitely a fan of Primark and I'm so excited that they are opening one in NY. However, if you're like me and have 10+ items to try on because everything is so cheap, you have to try them on. The dressing room had the rudest employees though. They did not greet customers at all, yelled at us that we could only take 8 items in when we just walked in, and one worker just gave my friend a look like she was stupid when my friend asked her which stall she could go in. How can you treat your customers so disrespectfully and expect them to buy anything from you? We let the manager at the register know but she just told us there's too many workers for her to do anything. read more

This was a great store to shop at during my trip to Boston. There were around 5 floors, all with so much to look through. Prices were great which I find to be a trend with all Primarks. My goal for the trip was to buy a pair of red socks. I found a pair that fit the description and they are now forever my Boston Red socks. I also bought a large yellow scarf. I wish I had more time to shop but did not. I definitely reccomend shopping here next time anyone one is near downtown boston. read more

I only heard about Primark from YouTube so, when I was visiting Boston and saw the store I rushed in. Primark is big with I believe 3 or 4 floors. The price is so affordable, I left with a few bags of purchases. I didn't get a lot of assistance with the staff, they were pretty much to themselves but, other than that it's a great store if you are on a budget. read more

The entire staff here is very rude, but especially the woman who I assume was the manager (middle aged pudgy asian woman) who closed the dressing rooms 17 minutes before closing and would not let me try a new size of ONE pair of pants that I just left the fitting room to find a diff size. read more

They have a great selection of clothes to choose from but I had a pretty bad experience with their associate. I wasn't sure of my size (because they use cm rather than s, m, etc.. for their shirts) and when I asked an associate what he thought I'd need and told him I didn't know my size, he literally laughed in my face and walked away. I hope the other associates aren't like that to other people because it was literally the worst customer service I have ever gotten. read more

The sizing here is a mess. The quality is cheap. For a curvy girl like me Primark is only good for jewelry and accessories. It is, however, perfect for a slim fashionista on a budget. read more

Store is a fantastic. Able to do shopping for all my family for a couple hundred dollars. Great quality as well. Will be on my way this weekend to do summer clothing and spring up my house with with lots of neat things. read more

Why would you want to shop in a store that has its clothing made in a sweatshop? Outrageous! All the cheap clothing comes at a high cost to the planet as well. Cost of water, fuel to transport it. On top of that, the quality sucks and clothing feels like it will rip when trying on. Waste of money and time even going there. read more

This place is huge and packed with inexpensive clothes. Low prices, low quality. I quickly browsed through the home section and didn't pay mind to the clothes because after age 21, clothes should be an investment and I will not pay $9 for a sweater that was made in a sweatshop and will shred to pieces after one wash. read more

I hate the ratchetness that runs the 2nd floor women's fitting room and I'll tell you why. Last Sunday my cousin and I decided to head to Primark to do some shopping now that the crazy holiday shopping season is over. I was relieved to see that it wasn't so insanely busy as it was the first time I went. So I grabbed a few things and headed over to the fitting room on the 2nd floor. Now keep in mind there's like a million signs pointing you right to where the fitting room supposedly should be. When I came up near what I thought was the entryway to the fitting rooms, I hear a lot of loud females clucking away. These were the workers. They were loud and completely unprofessional, just standing around shooting the shit as if they were at a sleepover. I felt like I was interrupting when I walked in. I walk over and tell this one girl that I have 5 items to try on. The chick tells me to "go up and turn left", so I apologize and head back out. Now, when someone tells me to "go up and turn left" I assume I need to walk a good distance and then turn left, which is what I did. I kept walking along the wall assuming there'd be some other entrance, but there was none. I was super confused, so I made my way back to where I was before, ya know, where all the signs were directing to for the fitting rooms. When I walk up, I notice to the left of the original entry way that I initially went into is another entry way. That bitch told me to "go up and turn left" when all she could have said was, "please go right next door to the actual entrance." Suffice to say, I was annoyed as my time was just wasted trying to find a damn fitting room that was exactly where I was already at. So I finally make it into a dressing room already annoyed. Now these dressing rooms do not have doors, but instead curtains. Big burlap-y curtains that you really need to work at to close since they're on curved rods. They have these loops hinges on the ends of them where you're suppose to hook onto these medal hooks that are attached to the wall to secure your curtain shut. But the gaps in between those notches on the curtains are quite significant. First off, it was a pain to try to pull shut these damn curtains, so after placing most of those notches into their metal hinges, I happened to leave ONE unhinged because frankly at that point I was super annoyed at having to fiddle with so much just to close a door basically and add to the fact that it was hot as hell in there! I literally had sweat beads forming on my forehead! No lie. -- Shoot to me being pant-less and some idiot, an employee have you, coming over and pulling open my curtain right on the one notch that I didn't hinge. She quickly said sorry and swung the curtain shut and cowardly ran off...in a blink of an eye. I stood there holding the pants that I was about to try on as my only shield, completely stunned and embarrassed at what just happened. Then I became absolutely livid! There must have been a million other obviously empty dressing rooms when I walked in with their curtains pulled wide open CLEARLY INDICATING THAT IT WAS EMPTY and you go and pull open the one with a closed curtain!!! What if I had been buck ass naked!!!! What if I had been doing that weird dance I sometimes do in in my underwear in the privacy of my dressing room??? JUST WHAT IF!!! By then I had had it. I felt violated and completely disrespected as a shopper. I got dressed and immediately left. I like the prices and variety at Primark but if you're going to hire any moron off the streets that can't use logic, you can keep your $15 skinny jeans. I'll go back to buying overpriced jeans on Newbury St where I get a private dressing room with a door and a lock. Shalom. read more

3.5 stars. I'm a crazy bargain hunter who likes brand names, so Primark's clothing doesn't meet my quality requirements. Nevertheless, what a fun store! The prices are very comparable to those of Forever21 and H&M, if not, cheaper. Again, you get what you pay for. The quality made me iffy to buy anything. Definitely try on their clothes before purchasing, and bring in a handful of items because the wait for a fitting room is LONG. If I was a high school or college student, I would love this place. There's pajamas, makeup, tons and tons of accessories, coats, and bags on top of the casual and professional attire. Although there's four floors, you see a lot of the same stuff over and over, so I can't say selection is the greatest. If you are in the area, definitely stop by this eye-catching store. The blue lights are glamorous. read more

I have really mixed feelings about this place. Clothes are really, really cheap. This isn't a place I'd go to redo my entire wardrobe. As expected, the quality isn't great at all. I like this place more for the accessories over the clothes (although I did buy a great pair of jeggings here for $10 that fit me perfectly). For example, I bought a couple pairs of slipper socks for $1 each. Also got some large, cozy scarves for $7 each. I also spent a couple of bucks on a pair of gloves that allow me to use my iPhone. Also found a blanket in the home goods section for $2.80. Do I expect these things to last forever? No, but for the time being, I think it's worth it. I am knocking it down to 2 stars because of the employees. I don't expect first class customer service, but the employees don't look like they want to be there. I couldn't bring my bag of accessories into the fitting room, so the employee took it to hang up, but didn't give me a number. I didn't find out I needed a number until I went to retrieve my items. This place is also crawling with way too many people, no matter what time of day you go. They're the type of people who walk with their eyes glued to their cell phones and just don't pay attention to their surroundings, so you're constantly walking into someone. read more

Yay I've heard so much about the name. They rent two-story space for the cloth setting. Great selection with low price. I am course about the quality. So I ended up buy one plaid shirt. I worn it three times up to date. It looks brand new. read more

I do question the quality of the clothing sold here at Primark. Like others have said, this store is like a combination of TJ Maxx/H&M and I love the decor and how they designed the store. Most of the sweaters are super thin, though, and literally the men's selection for clothing other than cheap button ups and thin sweaters, there's not much else. read more

Personally, I am very, very skeptical of the quality. A faux fur vest for $17, a turtleneck sweater for $9, and a pea coat for $23?! Who the heck are Primark's suppliers? I guess a few turns in the washer will shine light on the true nature of the clothes... Anyways, quality and skepticism aside, I think this store is a solid addition to the downtown Boston area and has brought back much needed life to the area deserted by Filenes. The style is trendy with lots of classy business casual options. It reminds me of a blend of H&M and Zara with the prices of a TJ Maxx and Marshalls. If you're looking for the basics, whether it's a turtleneck sweater or a pair of black leggings, or if you're looking for some trendier fall outfits, like a faux leather skirt or a faux fur vest, this place has it all. The store is really, really busy, like how busy the T is during rush hour. Despite the crowds, I was impressed with how relatively organized the clothes were (by gender, age, style etc.) Sure, I noticed that sometimes a size 11-12 would be placed on a size 5-6 hanger by accident, but it was nowhere near as messy as a TJ Maxx or Marshalls or even Macy's across the street. If you're planning on doing some serious shopping, prepare to block out a good chunk of time here to thoroughly go through all 4 levels and wait in the fitting room line and checkout line. Have fun! read more

Extremely bad customer service. There is clearly no communication between staff, there for a lot of confusion and frustration being taken out on customer. One employee took my bag right out of my hand walking into the fitting room when no one was there to direct or coordinate policy and then when I left the fitting room they did not know where my things were. They need a new system and a customer service policy. read more

Aight, here's the run down. THE HYPEEE IS PREVALENT. Yes, if you haven't heard from your friends or the lady next to you on the train, the new department store located where the old Filene's used to be is up and running. What also is up and running is the sheer amount of people trying to check this place out. I went on the third day after it's grand opening, and semi-overwhelmed I was. My three friends who I had gone with had previously went a few times within the three days since it's grand opening, and even after this second or third time coming in such a short span, they still left with something. So I walked in having an idea of what I already wanted. I often hate shopping without having a clear focus of what I want, because otherwise, I'd walk out spending more than I have to ... And unfortunately, that's exactly what happened. So I did find the items that I wanted, but, because the items in Primark are so damn cheap and affordably, it's hard to say no to a $2.50 beanie. Nevertheless, even with buying all the unwarranted stuff that I didn't really want, I was still content because it was all so cheap. I think because it was so cheap, you just got to make sure to double check the quality. There were some items that were meh in quality, while others were a steal. Aside from the guy's section, I was seriously impressed with the home decor related things on the fourth floor. So many potentially great gift giving items. The blankets for $5.00, maybe the softest I've ever felt in my life. Just sayin'. In essence, I think it'd be wise to wait a week or so to let the horde of folks come and go, but I don't think the hype of Primark will ever go because it's the first in America (?) and it's right in Downtown Boston. So I imagine this place will forever be busy. TL;DR: A friend of mine said, and I quote, "If you were to were to buy a single item of everything in the men's section, it'd probably come out to only $900.00". I think he's right. read more

Cheap disposable fashion akin to Forever 21 or H&M. For those of you who don't shop at those places, think a lower end version of Express. Attire is very affordable and "fashionable" (not to me personally but perhaps to most others) but clearly inferior quality. It's for looking good for maybe 2-3 months, then come back and purchase something else to replace it. Staff are ubiquitous and eager to help. Store is MASSIVE (4 large floors). Mostly everything is for women, like most big department stores, but the men's section was impressively sizable. Much bigger men's sections at H&M or Forever 21. I do appreciate how the store livens up the downtown area and provides lots of job to locals. Overall I'm happy Primark chose Boston as its first location in the U.S. but I don't see myself shopping here very much. read more

I would give this place a 3.5. There are a LOT of clothes/shoes/accessories here and quality is decent but it can be bad too. This is a great place for your basics. For more stylish clothes and accessories, it is a hit or miss. Some of the graphic tees and such are just really poorly designed. Why would I want a pair of pants that says "perfect" on it? I rather go to F21 or H&M to buy clothes but Primark is definitely a good spot to shop at if you need some really cheap basics like shirts, socks, or whatever. read more

I love this place!!! I was here for a work trip and had never been before. I cannot believe what I was missing. It was great. The prices were good, the quality of the products as reflected on the price but overall I was impressed. I will be back!! read more

First day, already friendly staff, and very helpful. I am excited to make this a staple in my lunch break browsing. Glorified Forever 21. Few years removed from college and student life where more money went out then in, I have avoided Forever 21 for the cheap quality and clusterf*%k that it is. Primark is larger, neater, but not necessarily better version of F21. Four levels to explore - 1) women's, 2) men's and shoes 3) sleep and athletic wear, 4) kids. Women's clothing was subpar, though for the budget conscious fashionistas, I can understand the appeal. Shoes are cute but barebones. I ended up with a pair of flats that I sincerely regretted wearing 20 minutes in the next day. There was zilch padding and the back almost gave me bloody heels. Thank god for a stash of options at my work closet.. err.. desk. Sleepwear was the shining star. Cute options of comfortable, fuzzy, straight up hilarious options that will sure turn your significant other on to a case of the chuckles. Athletic wear looked appealing, but upon further inspection, I'm not sure how many layers of sports bras and shirts I would need to ensure adequate coverage. Kids.. well I don't have kids. I am always a fan of places that replace sad empty spaces (this location was once the home to Filenes). Primark is a great addition to the downtown area and hopefully will contribute to the continued growth of the Downtown Crossing area.r read more

AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! The clothes quality is terrible, prices are low, but that's why! Staff is horrible made me come back to the store twice to return $12 pants and they didn't accept the return because the pants didn't appear in the receipt according to them, when I brought the only two receipts I have from purchases I've done at this store. Like do you really think I'm trying to pull something on you for $12?!! I feel like they act like people are trying to steal from them, and it's ridiculous especially when I'm coming with a Macy's bag on me. Smh, I will never go to this store again. read more

Very disappointing experience with one of the store managers Kellie over and even exchange. She got very defensive and spoke in a condescending tone towards my friend and me. For the first time when I checked in the number of items I wanted to try on, I was told I would have to leave my personal bag in an unattended room with no ticket. No thank you. You already had me check in the number of items I wanted to try on. I wasn't going to risk having items from the bag or the entire bag stolen for a pair of $11.00 chinos. Well I went back a few days later and I think I misunderstood the clerk saying I MAY leave my bag in the room and not YOU HAVE to leave your bag in the room. Sorry! read more

I got to experience the infamous Primark for the first time recently. I will be honest, upon initial glance, I wasn't too impressed. Some of the clothes I saw were weird or "plasticy" and everything was mass produced, almost like you're standing in a factory...Hundreds of identical pink shirts, furry vests, fake suede boots, and fake gold jewelry.. and umbrellas? I definitely agree with the review that calls this store "H & M on steroids." However, as I continued to peruse the store, I started to see cuter items, especially the sweaters, dresses, and purses. I also loved the HUGE pajama section where you could purchase a pair for around $18! I ended up purchasing WAY more than I should have, but I really love the clothes I bought. I found a neat little purse on clearance for $5.00. I also ended up buying two "shirt dresses" with belts for $18 each, and a hilarious furry white coat to scare my husband on clearance for only $10.. why not? That's the fun part about this store: you see something wild and freaky, and you can afford it, so why not buy it? You can basically put together an entire outfit here for around $30-40.. As others have said, just don't expect the quality to be outstanding...Although I will say, so far, the clothes I have bought here have lasted through several washes. Time will tell! It's too bad that the only Primark in the US is in Boston.. I wish one would open in the DC/Maryland area. Overall, a HUGE store with a really nice, organized layout and decent, clean fitting rooms. I would recommend coming here to pick up some "fun" items, most definitely! read more

This place is a literal garbage dump. You might actually be better off going to a grocery store, buying a box of hefty trash bags and wearing them instead. At least the quality would be better and the look would be the same. The store is always a mess and everything is disorganized with workers who clearly don't have time in their day to help people. Just stay away and put your money to better use elsewhere. Pretty sure the phrase is "quality, not quantity". Do yourself a favor and spend more on fewer items and at least they will last a while. You don't look cute coming out of Primark with ten bags filled with what is essentially trash... read more

I'm in love! This will be my go to when I'm in Boston. Huge store with four floors and prices are great. The men's floor (3) was a lot larger than I expected compared to a lot of other stores. Cheap clothes and while the quality may not be compared to Versace, I find the quality to be similar to H&M, and better than Old Navy or Aeropostale. If you are a dude, definitely try stuff on because they are pretty much European fits, so if you are athletic at all you may need to go up as much as two sizes in your shirts, lol. This store was a tad confusing because the registers seem hidden to me and the employees are plentiful, but horrible, which is the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars (typical high schoolers/ college kids that take being employed for granted). read more

This is great for a good deal on most items but larger pieces are averaged priced. It's still super crowded and I'm sure will only get worse as it gets closer to the holidays.
