In general, if you're a fan of H&M, you'll like this Irish competitor. Except this store has a bigger footprint than most H&M stores out there. Price, quality are both similar. Selection is decent - from casual to more formal offerings, for both men & women. Service is a bit nonexistent outside of the registers - I do not know if it's because the ratio of customers to workers are off the charts with the amount of foot traffic this store gets in such a prime location or another reason. read more

Great store for stylish and discount clothing. There are always new styles coming to the racks so shop weekly! The store went from 3 or 4 floors to 2 so it is tight. Have patience when shopping! I have never been to a Primark I didn't like and from first glance, this would be another day of big brown bags of cute clothes. Not today. The colors and offering were not so great. So little variety and very few staples. Everything oozed so blah..I found a shirt and the fit was not the right one for me. I check the other floors and there wasn't much there either. No housewares, licensed goods and travel stuff. I thought about buying a pair of biker shorts but the line had begun snaking through the ladies dept I gave up and left. Love the affordable selection!!! I go there every chance I get when I visit Boston. I always look forward to shopping the awesome Disney collections. I gave it 3 stars because of the customer service, particularly one and had more than one encounter. I was checking out on the first floor and this man's rude attitude and nonchalance was very off-putting. First time, he practically tossed my purchases to me. Second time, I walked over to him because he was the next available ringer. He just walked away without saying a word and left me standing there confused. I can honestly say this person ruined my experience today but hope management could work on some coaching lessons with customer service. For what Primark is and claims that it is, it's great. The prices are fabulous if you're a budget shopper, the variety is great, and the store layout is efficient. I've literally never had any issues with changerooms, lines for the cashier, heck- even the bathrooms if you are ever in that unfortunate situation. There's clothing, bedding, accessories, shoes, beauty products, and even small home goods. There are some men's items as well, but majorly catered to teens/young adult/adult females with their products. As an aside, I love their Harry Potter themed displays which they seem to always have, they are truly magical and I enjoy the themed products. Their holiday displays are also charming! The location is great if you're coming via the Red Line, or just walking through Downtown Boston. Knocking a star because at the end of the day, this is a fast fashion shop. There's no real guarantee with some of the products in terms of how long they will last, most likely things will fall apart after a couple of wears, so keep that in mind. If you're looking for upcycled, sustainably made, and locally sourced type of clothing... this ain't it. Primark is a good store to visit if you know what to expect. The prices are very low, but the quality control isn't the best. I've bought clothes there that I've been happy with, but you have to look closely and try on everything...I have noticed some differences between two different items in the same size and the occasional seam on a sweater that isn't straight. Unfortunately, the lines for dressing rooms can be quite long. My husband really likes Primark for simple things like dress socks, though, and I'm giving them an extra star because of the Harry Potter Shop. Fun and funky (and SUPER cheap) clothing store for the millennial in all of us, European transplant Primark is just what Downtown Boston needed! On any given day, I can count on one hand which items I'm wearing from this store, and that's a testament to how much I shop here. You can go here and buy 10-12 new pieces and spend less than $100. The same cannot be said for other stores in the surrounding area (no shade to Forever 21!). As other reviewers have said, this isn't a place to buy long-lasting pieces that will be with you for years. However, if you're looking to supplement your wardrobe with a few fun and trendy pieces for cheap, Primark is the place for you. In the last year, I've lost about 100 lbs, and Primark was my shopping destination when I was between sizes and didn't want to drop big bucks on clothes that would be too big for me a month from purchasing. It was literally a godsend, and I've been shopping here ever since! The store itself is very busy most of the time, so don't expect a calming shopping environment. It's nice to have a few locations in the U.S. This Boston store is huge and they have so many things to choose from and all are reasonably priced. I came home with so much stuff and only spent $120. I've browsed through Primarks in London so pretty excited to have this open. The outside is super nice and clean, and the inside is very organized and spacious. Not sure if it was just for opening day, but they were just teeming with staff. I was afraid it was going to be a mad house, but they were just so overstaffed with people folding and cleaning constantly that it stayed organized throughout the day. There was still quite a bit of disorganization (a lot of stuff was mis-categorized or hung in the wrong section, and for some reason the small sized coats were at the top rack out of reach??) but I was overall super impressed with the state of the store. The fashion itself is a cross between Charlotte Russe and American Eagle. For women, lots of military jackets and long cardigans. The store has a really prominent light blue theme and is HUGE. Seriously just SO MANY CLOTHES it was almost overwhelming. Staff didn't really seem to actually know much - I asked one person where the camel coat in the ad was and she could only point me to the coats section. But given how new they are, definitely understandable. I think for the price (a LOT of stuff is under $20, even under $10) I can't realllllly complain about quality, but I'm going to anyways. Most of the stuff looks pretty good, but its more something you wear for how it looks and less for its ability to last past a season. There were plenty of super cute things that I didn't think would hold up to going through the spin cycle twice. But yes, Primark is cheap cheap cheap which is really great if you're trying to stock up on more seasonal fashions. I wouldn't expect the jackets I get here to last me through the winter, but they definitely look pretty good if I want to change it up from my usual North Face for fall. The store is four floors of wonderfulness! It literally has everything...from workout to sleepwear to luggage and home decor. I attended the grand opening and the workers were all cheerful and so helpful, it really made it a great experience. For those that aren't familiar with Primark it is a UK based store, and I've heard great things about it so I was more than excited to learn that one was opening in Boston. The styling of the clothing is very UK, it's simple, everyday type clothing. If want something elaborate or standout-ish, you most likely won't find that here. They have all the basics: classic sweaters, crew neck t-shirt, ripped knee jeans, cardigans, flats, pumps, booties, bags, you name it. Endless selection of leggings and tights, and they also have a children's section. In terms of quality I would say it's a generous step up from H&M. The clothes seem nicely made and that they will last awhile. The setup and sectioning of the store is clean and very organized. The variety of styles is endless. It offers pretty much any type of clothing you might be looking for and has a section upstairs for children's clothing as well as jewelry, accessories, and makeup. The pricing seems very affordable, although the quality of the clothing is questionable. They say nothing gold can stay. I sure hope so. Just as springtime goldenrod canvases the earth with pollen, this store is slathered with wayyy too much mustard. I know that mustard is the "in" color right now. But it's JUST. TOO. MUCH. Now, I get the appeal of mustard, whether on a sandwich or a shirt. It's zippy. It's zesty. It's fun! Mustard is a nearly universally flattering color, and the perfect complement to teal or emerald. But there are other colors in the rainbow, man. There's nothing like walking into a store and being mesmerized by all the pops of color and unique patterns, prints, and styles. Shopping ceases to be a chore and morphs into a pleasure! But unfortunately, the "thrill of the hunt" simply did not exist here, as the same styles and colors were repeated ad nauseam. Admittedly, it's not just Primark that has this problem. "Fast fashion" these days is feeling slowww, with a dearth of risk-taking and trends being put on continuous loops. The green 'n gold thing right now has the entire populace looking like an Australian soccer team! (I digress)... Certainly, there are treasures to be found at Primark. I nabbed a chic pair of sunglasses for $4.50, a cute headwrap for $2.50, and a really freakin' nice coffee mug for $3. But as a fashion-loving twentysomething in a four-story, 77,000-square-foot clothing store, I felt that the actual clothing should have piqued my interest more. However, if you're in a pinch, Primark does have the "basics" covered - camis, tees, sweats, underwear, bras, socks, PJs, cold-weather accessories, and the obligatory, ubiquitous skinny jeans (flares and bootcuts, why have you forsaken us)? Prices are low, but you get what you pay for. Some items are decent quality. Others, not so much (e.g. shirts that are paper-thin and scratchy). I did appreciate their large selection of PJs and found a cute set for $6. If you have a Disney lover in your family, get them to this store NOW because Disney vomited cuteness onto a lot of the PJs and other items. Their Men's section was decent and featured a good variety of colors and styles. Anchored by a Pac-Man machine, this section largely caters to younger men and teens, with tons of sporty apparel and pop culture tees. I was also impressed by Primark's huge selection of Harry Potter merchandise, featuring clothing, accessories, and clever novelties. These items were fairly good quality, highly affordable, and enchantingly cute. Perfect for a fan of any age. Described as "faster, cheaper fashion," the Ireland-based Primark is a sprawling store with a penchant for simple, monochromatic, oft-repeated styles. I would honestly prefer a smaller store with less redundancy, and I wouldn't mind paying a little more for quality, selection, and originality. However, I'll poke my head back in in a few months and hopefully the place won't look so jaded and gilded (wink wink). read more

There are 4 floors so it's easy to spend your day here going from floor to floor getting lost in a sea of clothes and accessories. This is a must stop shop, especially if you're 40 and under... But there can be something for everyone. It is 4 floors of cheap fashion. Clothing not made to last forever but it's a cheap way to get basics and new trends that may not last. Sizing has been updated recently to be easier to find your size extra small to extra large and then typical pant sizes for U.S. (Prior to this it was UK sizing and could be difficult to find your actual size). Come when you have time to try things on for sure. And when you try things on they really check your belongings and count coming in and out. Oh my goodness this place is like the night club of Inexpensive cute clothing that resemble a Forever 21/H&M look. This place is huggggeeeee and bright, with loud music and crowded but in a fun way. I purchased a few things and the total was only $40 this included a handbag, jacket, beach sandals and a few beauty products. I do t know how I missed the Paris location when I was abroad. So here we go. Huge store! You will find men, women, and children wear everything from clothing, to shoes, to undergarments. Just wear your comfortable walking shoes to walk around this huge store. The selection is huge, the prices are great but the quality is TERRIBLE. These are the clothes you wear once or twice and throw out. These are the ones you wash once and they are never the same shape ever again. It's actually kind of too bad because their clothes actually fit my weirdly shaped body in a nice way. I didn't get to explore all the floors but it seemed very well kept. I couldn't really find staff to save my life but I guess it's not like I was looking for high quality things and these clothes sell themselves. I was recently in Boston and roaming down the street when I saw this store, Primark. It was among many other familiar stores, but I had never heard of it! So, I had to make my way inside to investigate. I immediately saw lots of (inexpensive!) holiday sweaters, so I was like, "OH, YEAH!" Then I saw a dope pink sweater, and it was so inexpensive. I was all in. I did however notice--this being around 2:00 in the afternoon--that there were some pretty lengthy lines around the store. I decided to come back later. That I did... and I found even more things I loved, and I definitely found prices I loved. I found fleece-lined tights for $5. I haven't worn them yet, but I'm a fan. There were all sorts of cute things, and I wanted more, but I didn't feel like trying things on. It reminds me of H&M more than anything, but it's still it's own. I would love to shop here again, and I definitely recommend it! I hope they continue to expand through the US. read more

I LOVE SHOPPING HERE!!! I've been here twice and both times, I spent at least two hours here buying stuff! This place is huge and has something for everywhere. It's 4 floors, with the first two floors entirely for women. The third floor is the men's section plus women's lingerie. The fourth floor is the kiddie section, restrooms, and exchange counter. I shop at H&M, Uniqlo, and Express mostly, but this store is my new favorite place. They have all the clothing and accessories you can imagine. Their shoe selection for men and women is huge. I'm a fan of this place because a lot of the same stuff if I bought it at Nike or Uniqlo would be a lot more expensive, but here it is pretty much dirty cheap. I found nice dress shoes and jeans for less than $20, awesome tees for $5, and dress shirts for only $9. The top fashion for cheap bucks can't be beat here! read more

This place is like Forever 21 except oddly enough it is actually on par or cheaper than Forever 21. Some of the prices seem outrageous, like $0.90 flip flops or $8 v-neck cardigans. I'm not sure how the quality will hold up though but if you need cheap goods, this is the place to go to. I got a t-shirt for $5 (probably one of the more expensive things here to be honest). Dear Primark, Please come to the West Coast. The first time I came into this store, I only wanted to take a picture with the Hello Boston sign in the front. Didn't think much else about the store. Then I found out online what their selection is like and I started to beat myself up for not shopping here. So my most recent trip back to Boston, I put this on my to-do list. I was not disappointed. Prices are absolutely ridiculous and the quality is above par of the price. Is it the best? Probably not, but it works for me. Quality also doesn't seem like it'll shred into pieces within the first few wears. Great stuff. With everything I bought that day, I spent about $50 on 10 items...two of those being shoes. Granted we had limited time because we had to leave for the airport soon; if I had more time, I could see myself spending a lot more, but then getting a lot more. Some of their employees were pretty light-hearted, friendly and helpful. But you can tell some of them are worn down. I saw one employee folding cardigans next to a display of cardigans. Next to her was an obvious tourist messing up the stack of cardigans trying to look for her size. That employee looked like she was one unfolded cardigan away from losing her cool. Props to her for not doing so. I must say, I'm quite impressed by the neatness of the store considering the amount of people coming through the store and rummaging through stacks and racks looking for sizes. It was a Monday afternoon, so who knows what it's like on the weekends. Lots of employees re-folding and re-racking. Bf was quite not happy with me when I cut him off short of his shopping time when I told him I was ready to pay....but ended up continuing to shop. So I know the next time we're in town...we're going to allocate more of our vacation time here. We've even thought about taking a trip to see Yale...then head to Danbury for their Primark store lol. My true guilty pleasure and favorite place to find that simple staple your outfit is missing! With so many floors, it's pretty organized and separated by section. Most importantly, this isn't a place where you find the perfect denim jacket just to look at the back and see a large patch that says 'will dance for tacos' or some other awkward weird saying (like some stores do, looking at you Forever 21). Everything is reasonably priced too. For literally a few dollars you can find things. Things that are on the stores pricier side are genuinely good quality and worth it too. The styles rotate fairly often and are up to date too. Lines to pay may look long but move quickly. Love love love this place! Even the cheap things aren't awful quality. My $3.50 bra is still going wonderfully 6 months later and if that isn't a measure of quality I don't know what is read more
