I REALLY liked my experience here. After multiple people recommended this place I finally decided to come here on Halloween during the afternoon (assuming it would be dead) & also didn't want to trek out to Bloomingdales for new pants. This place is adorable, they are extremely friendly (NOT sales-y at all) and they fit you like a glove for your pants. I ended up purchasing 2 pairs; AG Brand and also Red Fire Engine (something like that) and really liked them both. I did consider a 3rd pair which I was so-so about but the woman convinced me to stick with what I love and just get 2--so I did :-) They carry a LOT of brands and I had totally individualized attention; I felt very comfortable trying everything on and showing them. I didn't feel like they were body-obsessed at all and gave very nice compliments but also honestly told me when things didn't look great. I really do like my purchases; one does need hemming which will be an extra $20 cost at a local hemmer probably but that is the way it goes when you are 5 foor, 2 inches. I would for sure come back here and while it's VERY expensive (I think it was around $350 for two pairs of jeans) you are also paying to get fitted basically & they really spend the time with you which is great. read more

This is an adorable little boutique for the ladies tucked away on the far side of Hanover towards the water in the north end. They have hard-to-find denim labels and a super fun mix of accessories, T-shirts, dresses, tops and jackets. It is on the pricier side but let's face it....the designer denim craze is here to stay...at least for a while....and i think that everyone needs that one pair of jeans with a perfect fit for your body ---that you can rock day or night-dressed up or down. Success! After several failed attempts at several shops I finally hit the jackpot at Injeanius. Injeanius is located so far down Hanover St that my husband was convinced we missed it. I've never gone that far into the N. End! I really enjoyed shopping there, although I was expecting more selection. I was able to find everything easily and the SA was really helpful. It was nicely organized and easy for me to find my size. Unfortunately, because it is so small I don't think they stock that much at a time because my size was missing from a lot of the styles. I ended up with a pair of Kasil jeans, a designer I had never heard of before. I'm so glad I made the trip down there because these jeans make my bum look amazing. They also have a nice selection of tops and accessories to go with the jeans. You can do all of your casual shopping here and then go up to Twilight for your party attire. read more

I had high expectations and they were exceeded. I needed a complete jean overhaul after losing some baby weight. Angela picked out a few pairs based on my criteria and she nailed it. She (and the jeans) made me feel like a millions bucks. I wanted to keep trying on pairs, I was having so much fun. Angela happily kept pulling different options. I visited Injeanius a couple of years ago & remembered that the owner said that they could find jeans to fit ANY body type. So today I put them to the test. When I arrived, I was greeted by a friendly & helpful young woman named Jocelyn. I asked her to help me (curvy 5' tall woman) find a pair of skinny jeans. In my mind this challenge could've only been surpassed by my attempt at playing for National Women's Basketball. But Jocelyn smiled & said she'd bring me a few pairs to try on. The first few pairs didn't work for me, but then magically Jocelyn brought me TWO pairs that were perfect!! Her take on each pair was absolutely correct too!! She noticed that on one of the earlier pairs the pockets sat too low for my figure. I hadn't noticed that, but she was right!! She was soooo helpful!! Feeling overwhelmed by the denim departments at Barney's, Saks and Neimans, I took a trip to this little boutique in the North End and felt at ease the second I walked in the door. The woman working there couldn't have been nicer and handed me several pairs of jeans that definitely hadn't been available at the department stores. After slipping on the third pair in one of the adorable dressing rooms/cabanas, I was satisfied and knew my search was over. This is my favorite shop in the North End. I enjoy visiting this store, because the girls are always helpful and they have a lot of different styles that I like ranging from jewelry to jeans. Finding the right pair of jeans has always been hard for me. I want to have comfort but for them to be attractive as well. I like a high waist and also something I can wear when I am in Florida as well as Boston. I have had great luck here. On my last visit, I picked up two new pairs in different colors. I have really liked wearing them so far. I also am a fan of brands such as Michael Stars and Bailey 44. There are a wide range of tops from those brands at in-jean-ius. They had a good selection of sizes too, so I was able to get my favorites in each style. I have worked with a lot of different stylists at in-jean-ius and they have each been great. Alison always goes above and beyond to make sure that they are the right fit for me. I would recommend going here if you are looking for jeans, fun tops or accessories. read more

Please take the T, if you decide to check this place out because finding parking in the North End is impossible! I was in search for a particular brand. I have been in search of Blue 2 jeans since I found it at Jasmine Sola two summers ago. When I saw their website, I was ecstatic to see that they sold Blue 2 Jeans at In-jean-ius. They are the only jeans that I have, that I didn't have to get hemmed. They are comfortable, stretchy, and fit me to a T. When I walked into the store, I was greeted by the store manager. She was sweet and very helpful. I asked her if she carried Blue 2 and she informed me that those particular jeans were discontinued last year. She further explained that although they were on the website, the website has not been updated since the store opened. She suggested that I try a pair of Joe's or Paige jeans. If I had not shopped the jean sale at Nordstrom the day before, I would have considered making a purchase. But, with Xmas around the corner, I decided against it. But, I would have definitely bought a couple of pairs of Blue 2's if they carried them =( So I left In-jean-ius disappointed , but satisfied with the customer service, and would definitely return if I need to purchase a pair of jeans read more

This was my first time to in-jean-ius. The wife had told me that my jeans were just not doing it anymore. I walked in and asked the sales person "do you know your jeans?" And the answer was of course - YES! She asked me what I wanted: low rise, mid rise, jeggings (NO thank you), etc I told her my thoughts and she then found over 10 pairs for me to try. I fell in love with three of them. I only bought one because, damn, these are expensive! Yup, a great store, and it's situated between the waterfront and arancini/pizza heaven, Galleria Umberto. It's destination shopping and good eats all in one. (Shop first!) They carry a great selection of jeans and have a friendly, knowledgeable staff. Service is great - they'll call or e-mail when your style/size comes in and they have a spare set of heels provided. Good attention to detail here. However, I'm marking down for two key reasons. These are premium jeans at premium prices - there should be 1. lighting in the dressing rooms and 2. a better mirror setup. The cute cabana style changing rooms have NO lighting within - please slap up a sconce or two (www dot croftandlittle dot com). Also, there's just one large floor length mirror - what?! No three way, not even a hand held? A girl's gotta check out the rear view before she plunks down $200 for her jeans. This cute little boutique has all the brands you want and none of the annoying attitude that goes along with buying them. Alison is really helpful and you can tell customer service is totally her priority. My mom bought a pair of her jeans, brought them home, (might have had them hemmed too, I forget) decided she wasn't loving them and alison let her exchange them for another pair. Taking care of customers is so important, and she's got it down. In all honesty the majority of women who buy high end jeans are looking for them to make them feel and look awesome. I ran in here with an hour to spare between meetings, and hurriedly tried on about ten pairs of jeans in as many minutes. The service remained stellar throughout, even while I was moving at warp speed. I left with a pair of blue skinnies (straight-legs, really), and was very impressed with this little store. Injeanius carries a lot of brands I haven't seen in Saks/Nieman's, and has tons of longer lengths (I need 34" jeans). They carry high-end denim, for prices that are reasonable when compared with prices for the same items elsewhere. And hey, they're locally owned. Nice! My only criticism is that they seemed to swing toward low-waisted jeans, which are sort of going out of style ... but I was there early in the spring, and I assume that their stock has been updated since. read more

This place is great! I got excellent customer service**by the owners mom none the less** and left with two great pairs of jeans that were super comfy and I love. The second pair I bought because everyone in the store talked them up so much and they were so comfy I couldn't leave without them. I'm not super skinny with twig legs so jeans have always been hard to buy and this was the first time I've gone to a jean store got personal service didn't try on jeans that would never fit over my thighs and left feeling great. I'll NEVER have a problem finding jeans Again! InJeanIus is like having a personal shopper that already knows your body and how to make it look its best. The staff is so helpful, I answered a couple of questions like what size? what wash? whats my most common jean problem? THEY DID THE SHOPPING FOR ME! I won't lie I was pretty overwhelmed by all the jean stacks and where to begin looking, but the sales associate conquered all that for me. She wasn't trying to sell me either she really wanted to find the best fitting jeans for my body, even being kind enough to share when the jeans didn't look so good (when do your girlfriends EVEN DO THAT?). In a city where service is lacking everywhere & bad attitudes abound, this place is a cut above the rest, by far. Allison has her team trained perfectly. No matter what day I've been in there, the girls always want to help and with a smile! I've never had this type of service ever anywhere in Boston. Zero attitude, helpful, honest (key when trying on jeans!) & they bring you all types of styles in your size while you are in the dressing room. Finding a pair of jeans that fit perfectly can be hard and this place is really helpful with fit and has a nice selection..Denim has gotten so expensive in recent years but this place has sales at the end of the season and that's where I scored my fave!!! O. M. G. I cannot say enough about this place. If you're a seasoned jeans purchaser then you'll love it but let me tell you, if you are an expensive jeans virgin, like I was a few days ago, you'll love this place even more. If you're prepared to drop some dough, you will find jeans here that you love. Granted, I went during the week when it just so happened that no other customers were in the store, but the girl working in the store functioned as my personal shopper. So important for such an expensive item that you are going to have for a long time. I absolutely could not have done it on my own. It was a very pleasant experience. Also, the tailor that Injeanius recommends (and by presenting your Injeanius receipt you get a $5 discount) is awesome. Newbury tailors at 116 Newbury. Whenever I take something to the tailor I am cranky that I have to spend more money, and incredibly anxious that the tailor is going to ruin the clothing. With the discount, an original hem for the jeans is $20, and the tailoring is perfect. They always err on the side of longer jeans, and if they're too long after you take them home, they'll fix it for free. And they leave in an inch of fabric on the bottom just in case your jeans get too short after many washes. They are super quick and super friendly. Go use them. read more

After viewing the segment on Chronicle touting in-jean-ius owner as the "butt whisperer" I figured I would run right over and check this too good to be true store out! I am very hard to fit...petite, slightly curvy...But on Chronicle..it was mentioned the owner can figure out what jeans would look good on a body...just by looking. Well..imagine my surprise when she didn't even look up when I entered the store. I finally approached her I stating the obvious...I needed jeans...but I'm hard to fit. She didn't ask to look at my shape. (I had a long sweater on) she threw together a pile...and not one pair fit. Not even close. I figured I go through round 2. Acting like she could care less...she pulled together another pile of jeans...again..didn't even glance at my shape...I couldn't even get round 2 of these jeans over by butt. Butt Whisperer my A**! On top of all of this. I had to wait 20 minutes for one of the dirty little dressing rooms that were cramped and had no hooks or place to put your own clothes while trying things on. read more

Injeanius is well-located on Hanover Street, one of the liveliest streets in the North End, and the neighborhood it's in has retained much of its old-world charm, despite being a popular tourist destination. This shop is not too long a walk from the North Station stop on the Green/Orange Line, and though rather small, it stocks some really cute and unusual clothing, and has items like shirts and shoes in addition to jeans. The one problem I found with Injeanius was its pricing; I checked the tags on some of the t-shirts, and the lowest price I saw was $40. The sweatshirts, if I remember right, got into the triple digits. As I mentioned, the clothing here is nice, but these kind of prices are a bit ridiculous. read more

I was recommended by a coworker to try this store out when I complained about struggling to find jeans. I absolutely loved this store! It's light an airy in appearance; the store doesn't look overcrowded at all with inventory. Yet, there are many, many options! I walked in, asked for help, and a very friendly associate listened to what I was looking for, and pulled several pairs for me to try. I ended up sizing down, trying several different jeans on, but it wasn't a pain at all like normal jean shopping is. Both women in the store were so friendly, didn't push anything, but offered great suggestions. I bought one pair on the spot (Which didn't even need to be hemmed and I'm only 5'2"!!) and will come back when the other pair I loved comes back in. This was a great shopping experience. As others have mentioned these are expensive brands; I paid $190 for a pair of Hudson jeans. They fit beautifully, and are now my only pair of jeans. Good quality denim is worth the price. In-jean-ius is expensive but the service is wonderful. I'd never spent more than $40 on a pair of jeans before and wasn't sure what brands would fit better, etc. but the two salespeople there were incredibly helpful. They asked me what kind of jeans I was looking for and picked out about 15 for me to try, with more added as they saw what fitted well and didn't. In the end, I ended up buying one of the first pairs I tried on but we discussed almost every single pair of jeans. Alison, the owner, also just got recognized on a top 30 entrepreneurs under 30 list on MSN. Overall, the prices are high but the customer service is well worth it. read more
