I had asked about the types of stones for a few bracelets I was interested in and they replied with "I don't know.". lastly as I was leaving the store, the girl raised her voice for me to stop and said ." hey you are wearing our bracelets!" and started walking towards me. at which point I turned around and held up my wrist. she was correct, i was wearing two bodhi seed bracelets WHICH WERE MINE. I walked into the store with them on as I OWN them. to the store owners: take caution with your accusatory tone of voice before you mistakenly accuse someone of shoplifting.

The dynamic duo, Louis Boston Vets and co-owners of a personal styling and clothing designing business, opened up habit not too long ago. the store is modern, funky, comfortable and artsy, and offers men's and women's clothing and accessories, as well as a small selection of home goods. Santorelli and Moore are aiming at bringing in somewhat obscure designers who currently have little to no exposure in the Boston area. Items sell for $40-$200. The two are down-to-earth, charming and sooo helpful...definitely not your average fashionistas!

Fair enough, except that they should get their dates correct or else take responsibility! Also, they have accepted items from me and then inexplicably tossed them, without telling me. They charge $5 per month for their consignor access website, and it is very hard to opt out (I had to opt out every time I consigned and sometimes press them to reverse the charge after it had been applied anyway). Also, I noticed that the payout amount is often less than what was on their label. I don't think they want you to see the labels but I went in the store to take a look and it was higher than what they marked on my printout. Not recommended for consigning.

I visited this boutique in a group of three Asian twenty somethings, and felt very uncomfortable…read morethe entire time we were there. The owner and her friends were staring at us while my friend was in the fitting room trying items on (I looked back in her direction three times and every single time made eye contact with one of them staring at me), and when my friend left the fitting room, she accidentally turned the light off. Without hesitation, the owner snapped at her to leave the light on for the next customer. The whole time she didn't offer to help us at all, and when we tried to place the items we didn't want back on the rack, she immediately grabbed them from us. We said thank you to her for helping, and she didn't respond. Checking out was a similar experience. Even though we bought an item, will never come back. Microaggressions are real and leave a horrible impression on customers. It's not hard to do the bare minimum to be polite, and they missed the mark by a long shot.

Heard about this place on Tik Tok so I had to check it out. They have two stores with one of them…read morebeing a bit smaller and the other store having the charm bar and more clothing. I immediately went to the charm bar and was so happy to see the prices were affordable. For the necklace it was $20 and each charm costing $5. For an additional $5 you could have a staff member assemble your necklace which I opted for. Sam was super helpful with suggesting how to spread out the charms to make sure they looked good. I am super happy with how it turned out. I will have to be back to see more of their clothing options because they had a good variety! Definitely give them a visit.

One of my friends was interested in this event, so I got to look at the clothing while we waited. They have some very nice jeans that were in the $30-$70 range. It seemed like a contrasting mix of cool finds but also older style clothing that could have come from a TJ Maxx. They had jackets that looked like ones my parents had worn years ago and now keep in the back of a closet. Overall, there was a nice selection but personally I thought the quality was variable, and most items seemed overpriced for how they looked.

How it appears to work is you can "try before you buy" a membership by making an appointment to swap one item. I'm honestly not sure why an appointment is needed because there was no one else in there when I went for my appointment and the person working in the store doesn't give any one on one attention while you shop. (I preferred this but others might want that). I brought in a nice dress for my swap (brand new with tags), and was surprised to see the condition of most of the clothes available. It's on par with Goodwill. Many things were pilly, faded, stretched out, and some just looked out of style. I took photos of the shoes to show an example of the condition of the items. I was hoping for more of a boutique experience with excellent pieces in good or like new condition. Gently worn is fine for secondhand, but a lot of these things had seen better days. I took my item and left. I can't recommend this place based on what I experienced today.

I completely love the concept of this place and have been a member for years. I've been able to get…read morenew work pants when my size has changed, a fancy dress for a special event, or the sweater cardigan that goes with everything. The best part is that if it doesn't work as well outside of the store, I can bring it back and swap for something else next time. SwapIt keeps my wardrobe fresh and allows me to pass along clothes that no longer fit my life to what I know will be a good home. They even participate in textile recycling so I can drop off the sad socks that have not found their mate or my kid's ripped shorts.
