A Truly Extraordinary Boutique & An Even More Extraordinary Owner…read more I've been shopping at Karma for more than 15 years, and in all that time I've never encountered another boutique--or another human--quite like Phuni, the remarkable woman who owns and runs it. She is kind, inspirational, incredibly talented, and has an eye for style that feels almost magical. When I first wandered into Karma all those years ago, I remember thinking the clothes felt a bit expensive for me. What I quickly learned is that the quality is far beyond anything you find elsewhere. Every piece I've purchased has become something I wear joyfully for years. They hold up beautifully, they feel amazing, and I'm constantly stopped by people asking where I got them. Truly, each item ends up paying for itself in longevity and happiness. One of the best parts of shopping here is that Phuni knows me--my style, my size, what flatters me, and what will make me feel wonderful. She regularly brings me pieces I never would have even glanced at, and they end up being the exact things I fall in love with. Last year she suggested a jacket I never would've tried; I wore it - with a fabulous scarf and woven tote bag I also got at Karma, in NYC, snapped a rare selfie because it looked so good, and a woman on the subway stopped to tell me I looked adorable! Phuni also dressed me completely for the night before my daughter's wedding, and the outfit was so special. I continue to wear each piece with joy. In fact, I've asked my husband to skip the flowers for Mother's Day and my birthday-- instead I spend it at Karma. Shopping with Phuni is such a gift in itself. It's not just the clothing, either. I've found beautiful jewelry, scarves, bags, and truly meaningful gifts here. And what makes it even better is that Phuni sources everything she can ethically, sustainably, and through Fair Trade, supporting many women‑owned businesses, including artisans overcoming tremendous challenges such as sex trafficking. Her values are woven into every item she brings into the shop, and you can feel that integrity the moment you walk in. If you read her story (and you absolutely should), you'll understand why this place feels special from the inside out: https://www.cometokarma.com/about. Karma is one of my all‑time favorite places to shop, not just for the clothes but for the warmth, spirit, and generosity of the extraordinary woman behind it. If you're thinking of visiting, don't hesitate. You might walk in for clothes, but you'll walk out feeling seen, uplifted, and beautiful. Highly, highly recommended.

We found some cute things went on a accidental shopping spree but glad it's going to a good cause. My gripe....It's unprofessional when the workers are having LOUD personal conversations and making insinuations. Upon me grabbing my bags the lady behind the counter suggested I should smile more. Really..? I just spent 100 I'm perfectly fine thank you. It's called Resting B*tch Face. How about you tend to customers, the register and minding your own business.

I'd definitely come back to spend more time to look through all the clothing.

I believe they were training a new person and as we walked by we were still not greeted (it did not bother us, unfortunately we are quite used to this in these suburban towns). We took our time browsing the store as they had a selection of baby related items towards the very back of the store that we found cute yet (albeit very expensive). We spent about 10 mins. As we were leaving we see one of the (presumably new) employee with green hair walk towards the section we were in. He went past us and awkwardly followed us without uttering a word, made us feel like shoplifters. We were deeply offended and and felt disgusted as we exited the store. Apparently we are not the only ones who experienced this, I attached a screenshot of a 56 year old woman who was also followed. This store really needs to reduce their hubris, there is literally nothing of great value to steal from in this store. An apology to this review would be nice, however we do not plan on returning ever and the lack of accountability based on other replies does not provide us with much hope. TLDR; we went in this store and without any verbal interaction, was followed by an awkward employee. We felt offended and disgusted. It's 2024 and I would hate to imagine what the chain of events would be, if we were of a darker skin color.
