Their quote was completely itemized--which I appreciated--and ended up being well under every other retail bid I received. Two people really made the difference: Mary and Bolo. Mary is a literal pro when it comes to the insurance side of things. She worked tirelessly on the supplements to ensure we maximized our RCV payout from our insurance. She caught things the adjuster missed and helped us get the settlement we actually needed to do the job right. Bolo, the project manager, was extremely responsive and reasonable throughout the entire build. Whenever a technical issue came up--even complex stuff like electrical circuit stability or specific plumbing heights--he was there to talk it through and get it handled. One thing I will say for people considering them: you need to be the kind of homeowner who has the capacity to stay on top of the work. If you know exactly what you want and you're willing to stay involved in the day-to-day details, C2C is an incredible solution. It's a partnership, and because I stayed engaged, we were able to hit a level of quality that usually costs twice as much. The house looks amazing (see the photos of the Blue Thunder Quartzite and the Jade tile!). They were fair, they were fast, and most importantly, they were responsive. He created a vision for us in that first quote visit. The other contractor we spoke to didn't provide any ideas just asked us how we wanted it. It was a very easy decision to go with Alon and Lumina Builders. Our project was estimated to take 2-3 months and ultimately took two and a half months to complete. We designed a brand new kitchen, addressing all of our concerns and adding a few recommendations from Alon to streamline some areas. They ripped everything out aside from the flooring and walls. We got brand new custom cabinets, custom lighting, and new countertops. Our fridge was moved to a new, more accessible area. Our sink was shifted down to align with the stove for continuity sake (never realized how much I hated it being in a corner previously). We had a new little cabinet built in our little breakfast nook area and we had an appliance garage built to house everything that took up counter space. Everything is so much brighter and more open and, even though we know the demensions are roughly the same, it feels so much wider. We are ecstatic with how everything came out. Alon is a genius. He was responsive to us throughout the project, checking in weekly to see how things were going, giving us peace of mind throughout this process, as first time remodelers. We were indecisive about the primary cabinet color (I was very worried we'd be stuck with something we didn't really like) but he worked with the cabinet makes to give us several samples to choose from. Charley was our project manager; he kept the project moving forward and was extremely responsive to texts and calls. They helped us change the cabinet layout a bit and it ends up being more functional while also having much more usable space. The flooring and baseboards turned out terrific, it really changes the look and feel of the space. We had picked out something that was not one of their usual suppliers, but that was no problem. They really work with you to get exactly what you want. All the workers were friendly, skilled and left our house clean at the end of the day. My thanks to everyone that worked on our project. Chuck finished the kitchen up and did fine work with our plumbing which required some intricate work to accommodate our layout. I highly recommend Mastercraft and would use them again for any future work.

Of the many options they had the best ideas and the qualified workmen. Mike Garst considered the project from every angle, brought in members of his team on 3 occasions to suggest approaches. When they opened the dry wall we found the supports were rotted & had to be replaced. They built a roof support, replaced damaged wood, added cement inside the walls higher than outside level to prevent leaks, then filled a beautiful solid cement floor and repaired the drywall. Better than good as new, this room boasts a superior foundation that gives me confidence. Every member of Mike's team is punctual, profesional, knowledgeable and courteous. When work was done, Mike came and, on his own account, adjusted the sticky sliding door so it moves smoothly. Mike's boss, Brian, also came several times to look over the project. I feel very fortunate to have had MASTERCRAFT take on this hugely complex project and bring a disaster to a happy ending.They explained options, patiently answered my questions and were courteous and pleasant throughout. The whole process went smoothly, Kevin was very friendly and easy to work with; he provided the most information on what type of windows to get for our situation. He was very responsive and answered any questions we had. They also had very reasonable prices and detailed quotes. My husband told me on the day of installation, they were punctual, efficient and completed the window replacements on time. We got Simonton laminated double paned windows, and although they haven't blocked out as much sound as I hoped, they actually help a good deal with lowering hot temperatures in that room in the summer. It's been about a year and the windows still look great and work well (they're also much easier to slide open than our old windows). I would definitely recommend them!

When we started…read moreour remodel journey, we had no intention of redoing our kitchen cabinets as we were trying to save money where we could. We were going to change the countertop and backsplash because we thought the cabinets the last owner put in were still in decent shape. Literally on the day we were moving out so the remodel could begin, I saw a piece of filler board in the corner of our kitchen that looked like it was detaching and I was able to just pick it right up and saw how worn our cabinetry actually was. Yikes!!! We realized then and there that we didn't want to put new quartzite countertops on the old cabinetry. I remembered my friend telling me about Mark and what a fantastic job he did on her kitchen remodel project. I immediately texted my friend to get Mark's phone number and called him asap. Mark answered the phone and took time right then and there to talk with us. With the clear goal of what was in our best interest, he went into detail on why we would be happier in the long run not putting beautiful new countertops on top of our old cabinetry and it got me to thinking that this was an opportunity to re-configure our kitchen, which turned out to be probably the favorite part of our entire remodel. We opened up part of the wall that separated our kitchen and dining room and the change is dramatic and such a real game-changer livability-wise for our space. Mark promptly got plans ready for us and even managed to squeeze us into his busy schedule for the production and installation so that we could move back in by a date that had already been pushed back numerous times due to our evolving additions to the work being done. Anyone who has been through a significant remodel knows that you just can't put a price on having a contractor care for your situation like Mark did for us. Additionally, I have environmental sensitivities and Mark took every care along the way to make sure he was using eco-friendly materials that would keep our space healthy. He used Rubio Monocoat oil (we went with Cotton White) to finish the cabinets at my request. My husband and I are over-the-top happy with the end result and grateful that Mark was so open to making cabinets that were not just beautiful to look at but also environmentally conscious. Mark is a complete joy to work with, has patience to infinity and beyond, and is extremely responsible. His prices are very reasonable and any challenge along the way (such as figuring out how to get both a recycling bin and a trash bin in our very small space for those two items) was an opportunity for Mark to figure out a solution. Never once did we feel like we were bothering him with all of our requests. Openness in our design was a bigger priority for my husband and me than storage, and Mark did everything he could to maximize our space and give us our dream kitchen. It's impossible to recommend Mark highly enough. I had a lot of repairs to make to the house and didn't have the budget to replace the vanity, so I just wanted to reface the cabinet. I sent out Yelp quote requests to at least 15 companies, and most responded with either ridiculous costs or that the job was too small to do. I got a few reasonable quotes and decided to go with Sam from Stylish Cabinets. Sam came quickly to measure and give me a quote. When I asked for a few addition things (adding wooden frames to my full-wall bathroom mirrors, which were showing wear around the edges), he came back with his carpenter, Mor, to measure and give me an exact quote. They came back within two weeks to complete the job, having built all of the doors, drawers, and frames by hand. The quality of the work was excellent, and the customer service was even better. Sam was so courteous and thoughtful throughout the process. We didn't have a big budget so they were able to meet our needs and never tried to upsell us on things we couldn't afford. I would definitely recommend this company for anyone looking to do cabinet refacing. Sam explained to me that he had been in business for a number of years in the Sacramento area but recently relocated to San Diego. Although they have few reviews locally, he clearly is experienced in the area and that showed in my experience with him.

We truly appreciate the follow-through and the effort to make it right. While the process to get here was frustrating at times, the end result is what we had hoped for from the start. Thank you to the team for addressing our concerns. UPDATE/REPLY TO OWNER: After I posted this review, the owner replied and said that seam variation is normal and that they always try to make seams as minimal and consistent as possible. That all sounds reasonable -- but here's what the reply leaves out. The seam we're concerned about has visible glue residue and looks just like the others did, which they had already cleaned up successfully during the same install. The only difference? By the time we brought this one up, we'd already paid in full. We weren't asking for perfection -- just for this last seam to be finished to the same standard. Instead, we were told "nothing can be done," and no one even offered to come take a look. Honestly, it turned what had been a great experience into a really frustrating one. Most of the work looks good, but the way things were handled after the fact left us feeling like we weren't valued once the payment cleared. ORIGINAL REVIEW: We hired this company because of their excellent reviews, competitive pricing, and ability to work within our timeline -- and overall, we're somewhat happy with how the countertops turned out. When we met Steven, we emphasized how important it was to us that the seams be as minimal as possible. When we reviewed the templates, we raised concerns about one seam being placed in a very prominent location. We were told it had to go there, but that every effort would be made to minimize its appearance. During installation, the team was friendly and professional. On the first day, they noticed that the quartz pieces had some bowing issues (apparently, this can happen if the slabs are stored outside, which these were). The owner called to explain that they needed to correct the bowing to ensure the seams would be less noticeable. This adjustment delayed their initial timeline of 7 days after templating. The team added braces to the countertops and returned a few days later. There were additional delays getting the waterfall edges and windowsill installed, but once everything was in place, we were generally satisfied with the overall look. However, about a week later, we noticed one seam that stood out from the others -- visibly rougher and less refined. We contacted the owner and were told this kind of thing happens, that nothing could be done, and that even worse seams are displayed in their showroom. That response left us disappointed. Given how good the other seams looked, we were surprised at the lack of effort or interest in finding a resolution. If you hire Rock-It, we recommend staying engaged through the final details of the install. Be sure you're 100% satisfied before signing off and paying in full. We hope the company will take this kind of feedback to heart and continue to prioritize finish quality and post-install support.

He came the next day to take measurements and sent me a quote within a couple days. Price was similar to my other quotes but I'm going to be completely honest, I would have paid him more. He has so much experience. He will be completely honest with you and help you through the entire process. He's very responsive to text and email. His contractors are awesome. So professional and take so much care to get all the details right. We plan to use the contractors for our bathroom remodel as well.

She is very hands-on and was a pleasure to communicate with throughout the project. I especially want to highlight Jai, Joseph, and EV Granites. They all far exceeded my expectations. Jai, the project coordinator, was fantastic. She answered every question promptly, quickly arranged for a replacement part that was damaged during shipping, and stayed on top of every surprise that came up during demolition. She always provided clear options and kept the project moving smoothly. Joseph installed the cabinets at an impressive pace while maintaining exceptional quality. His attention to detail was outstanding. He even reinstalled a few cabinets (which meant redoing the work) to ensure everything was perfectly level. The final result speaks for itself.
