Jai, the project coordinator, was fantastic. She answered every question promptly, quickly arranged for a replacement part that was damaged during shipping, and stayed on top of every surprise that came up during demolition. She always provided clear options and kept the project moving smoothly. Joseph installed the cabinets at an impressive pace while maintaining exceptional quality. His attention to detail was outstanding. He even reinstalled a few cabinets (which meant redoing the work) to ensure everything was perfectly level. The final result speaks for itself. EV Granites did an amazing job with the countertop. They measured everything with precision, created perfect templates, and made excellent use of every inch of the granite slabs. They were friendly, answered all my questions, and worked efficiently to get the project completed quickly. The entire project was wrapped up in just a couple of weeks, which completely surprised me. I had been worried because similar projects often take months. When Heidi and Jai first shared the timeline, I was skeptical (as contractors often overpromise), but Pure Cabinets did the opposite. They beat their already aggressive timeline. It was a refreshing experience.  I wish I could find a general contractor with the same level of professionalism, reliability, and customer focus. We were going to change the countertop and backsplash because we thought the cabinets the last owner put in were still in decent shape. Literally on the day we were moving out so the remodel could begin, I saw a piece of filler board in the corner of our kitchen that looked like it was detaching and I was able to just pick it right up and saw how worn our cabinetry actually was. Yikes!!! We realized then and there that we didn't want to put new quartzite countertops on the old cabinetry. I remembered my friend telling me about Mark and what a fantastic job he did on her kitchen remodel project. I immediately texted my friend to get Mark's phone number and called him asap. Mark answered the phone and took time right then and there to talk with us. With the clear goal of what was in our best interest, he went into detail on why we would be happier in the long run not putting beautiful new countertops on top of our old cabinetry and it got me to thinking that this was an opportunity to re-configure our kitchen, which turned out to be probably the favorite part of our entire remodel. We opened up part of the wall that separated our kitchen and dining room and the change is dramatic and such a real game-changer livability-wise for our space. Mark promptly got plans ready for us and even managed to squeeze us into his busy schedule for the production and installation so that we could move back in by a date that had already been pushed back numerous times due to our evolving additions to the work being done. Additionally, I have environmental sensitivities and Mark took every care along the way to make sure he was using eco-friendly materials that would keep our space healthy. He used Rubio Monocoat oil (we went with Cotton White) to finish the cabinets at my request. My husband and I are over-the-top happy with the end result and grateful that Mark was so open to making cabinets that were not just beautiful to look at but also environmentally conscious. Mark is a complete joy to work with, has patience to infinity and beyond, and is extremely responsible. His prices are very reasonable and any challenge along the way (such as figuring out how to get both a recycling bin and a trash bin in our very small space for those two items) was an opportunity for Mark to figure out a solution. Never once did we feel like we were bothering him with all of our requests. Openness in our design was a bigger priority for my husband and me than storage, and Mark did everything he could to maximize our space and give us our dream kitchen. We also met with two other local/national companies to back up our ultimate decision. One of those was easy to let go of - the person who visited our house had strange personal habits and felt comfortable sitting on our bed and brushing pencil eraser bits onto our pillows. The second one came really close, and it was a hard final decision. They offered a different approach than Tailored and there were strong points to both. In the end, the connection we made with the designer, Nick, and his willingness to dive into the challenge, won us over. With our input, he came up with really great custom concepts including an entryway closet that had a couple elements that they don't typically do. One was an area where mail could drop from the mail slot, and the other was slide out shoe trays. We still look at those and smile. The on-site installers were great. The lead installer Cassidy was our main point of contact and did a great job. We'd done some other renovation prior to the closets, and our expectations for communication were formed by those other contractors. He was respectful throughout the install, patient with our questions, and always let us know what to expect. Personally, I also appreciated the way he worked with the other installers, too. He looked like a good mentor for the others. Kudos to him and the rest of the team, Luis, Kevin and Ismael. I'll be surprised if Luis isn't in a leadership role there soon! The installation was so professionally done, with plumb walls and level shelves, that it revealed how unlevel our flooring is. When that left some gaps, the company recommended a solution to mask that without changing the original design. Cassidy came back out, assisted by Victor, and made those updates in just a few hours. Overall, this was a great experience, and we recommend the company.
