I'm the type of person who is very specific about what I want and I did my homework. I got four different bids for this project, and C2C was the clear winner. Their quote was completely itemized--which I appreciated--and ended up being well under every other retail bid I received. Two people really made the difference: Mary and Bolo. Mary is a literal pro when it comes to the insurance side of things. She worked tirelessly on the supplements to ensure we maximized our RCV payout from our insurance. She caught things the adjuster missed and helped us get the settlement we actually needed to do the job right. Bolo, the project manager, was extremely responsive and reasonable throughout the entire build. Whenever a technical issue came up--even complex stuff like electrical circuit stability or specific plumbing heights--he was there to talk it through and get it handled. One thing I will say for people considering them: you need to be the kind of homeowner who has the capacity to stay on top of the work. If you know exactly what you want and you're willing to stay involved in the day-to-day details, C2C is an incredible solution. It's a partnership, and because I stayed engaged, we were able to hit a level of quality that usually costs twice as much. The house looks amazing (see the photos of the Blue Thunder Quartzite and the Jade tile!). They were fair, they were fast, and most importantly, they were responsive. Highly recommend if you want high-end results without the "luxury markup" of other firms.

We are very happy how our master bath turned out and Zoran was there to make decisions with us as we proceeded. Furthermore, I really liked his crew and felt safe with them in our home alone. We also found his pricing to be very reasonable and he did not play any games with payments. And his crew showed up to work as stated and asked us at times if they could stay later (we were happy to oblige) ...which meant it would be done sooner. I will not hesitate to use Poseidon again. It's rare to have a contractor who does what they say they will do.

Charley was our project manager; he kept the project moving forward and was extremely responsive to texts and calls. They helped us change the cabinet layout a bit and it ends up being more functional while also having much more usable space. The flooring and baseboards turned out terrific, it really changes the look and feel of the space. We had picked out something that was not one of their usual suppliers, but that was no problem. They really work with you to get exactly what you want. All the workers were friendly, skilled and left our house clean at the end of the day. My thanks to everyone that worked on our project. Chuck finished the kitchen up and did fine work with our plumbing which required some intricate work to accommodate our layout. I highly recommend Mastercraft and would use them again for any future work.

Of the many options they had the best ideas and the qualified workmen. Mike Garst considered the project from every angle, brought in members of his team on 3 occasions to suggest approaches. When they opened the dry wall we found the supports were rotted & had to be replaced. They built a roof support, replaced damaged wood, added cement inside the walls higher than outside level to prevent leaks, then filled a beautiful solid cement floor and repaired the drywall. Better than good as new, this room boasts a superior foundation that gives me confidence. Every member of Mike's team is punctual, profesional, knowledgeable and courteous. When work was done, Mike came and, on his own account, adjusted the sticky sliding door so it moves smoothly. Mike's boss, Brian, also came several times to look over the project. I feel very fortunate to have had MASTERCRAFT take on this hugely complex project and bring a disaster to a happy ending.They explained options, patiently answered my questions and were courteous and pleasant throughout. The quality of their work is outstanding. I will absolutely hire them again - next project plumbing!

Dan is realistic, schedule-conscious and works to exceed expectations. (They finished ahead of schedule!) He's also willing to share his opinions, but in the end, he made sure they executed what I wanted versus what they'd normally do. The team was very skilled, polite and considerate. The only downside was that his online billing system was a bit weird, but it can be over-ridden to pay the correct progress payments. I will likely be working with them again when I find my next house.

Like any major…read moreproject, we started by reaching out to a couple of vendors to get quotes, that's where we met Alon, the project manager for Lumina Builders. What immediately stood out to us was that he had ideas and solutions to address our pain points and make enhancements, we wouldn't have ever considered, and didn't just wait for us to tell him how we wanted things. He created a vision for us in that first quote visit. The other contractor we spoke to didn't provide any ideas just asked us how we wanted it. It was a very easy decision to go with Alon and Lumina Builders. Our project was estimated to take 2-3 months and ultimately took two and a half months to complete. We designed a brand new kitchen, addressing all of our concerns and adding a few recommendations from Alon to streamline some areas. They ripped everything out aside from the flooring and walls. We got brand new custom cabinets, custom lighting, and new countertops. Our fridge was moved to a new, more accessible area. Our sink was shifted down to align with the stove for continuity sake (never realized how much I hated it being in a corner previously). We had a new little cabinet built in our little breakfast nook area and we had an appliance garage built to house everything that took up counter space. Everything is so much brighter and more open and, even though we know the demensions are roughly the same, it feels so much wider. We are ecstatic with how everything came out. Alon is a genius. He was responsive to us throughout the project, checking in weekly to see how things were going, giving us peace of mind throughout this process, as first time remodelers. We were indecisive about the primary cabinet color (I was very worried we'd be stuck with something we didn't really like) but he worked with the cabinet makes to give us several samples to choose from. He was very patient with us. We LOVE how everything turned out! We'll definitely be using Lumina Builders for all of our future projects.

It is much worse than it was before and 4 times larger. I hired another company to come out and see what they could do. Although their repair still isn't perfect, it is significantly less noticeable. At this point, I don't feel confident that another attempt would achieve the results I would like.

Unfortunately we had an awful experience with Jaki and cannot recommend her work at all. There were…read morered flags from the beginning but we wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt. Please don't make our mistake. Ultimately, Jaki did not understand our vision and kept pushing her design preferences on us. We had to fully create our own PowerPoint deck with reference photos to get our ideas across room by room; source our own tile (when she claimed the design we wanted didn't exist in the tile we wanted); ordered the wrong quantity of products; among many other issues. Additionally when we chose not to use her preferred contractor, she became even more difficult to work with. She claimed she didn't know how to use IKEA's closet building tool to help us build our master closet, was always running late to our meetings; nor did she know how to use Gmail to schedule said meetings. Due to COVID and vendor supply issues our renovation took much longer than anyone expected. But the most egregious and unprofessional behavior was when she quit the job BEFORE any of the fixtures she ordered were even installed. She literally took our money and ran. We were still in the middle of our renovation and had been project managing the majority of the work ourselves. To reiterate-- we paid Jaki in full for her services but she would not even honor returns or exchanges for products that we DID NOT install (because they didn't end up working in our space and were misrepresented in the renderings). In the end, we had to go directly to the vendor ourselves, who graciously honored the exchange given that we had such a terrible time trying to get that through Jaki. The whole experience has been extremely disappointing and we would not recommend her services.

After researching various other kitchen design companies in Peterborough, we chose Kitchen Cabinet Solutions based on the following: It is our opinion that Kitchen Cabinet Solutions offered the best selection and quality of cabinetry at competitive prices. Mike was our kitchen designer and so much more; he was understanding and patient during the design process, and at times acted as a marriage counsellor, he couldn't do enough for us and never made us to feel that our questions were a bother. In short, we felt valued and appreciated. He was never pushy, but rather, helped to find a balance between two differing design aesthetics. He was solution-oriented and his knowledge and expertise helped us design a kitchen in an older home that has no true or plumb walls, ceilings or floors! We are now the proud owners of a modern, functional and beautiful kitchen that we truly appreciate and works well for our entire family. Chris the installer is a skilled and detail-oriented installer that went way above and beyond to ensure we were happy with every detail of the installation. Don was AWESOME to work with! We remodeled an investment property kitchen and bathroom in record time. The cost, quality of the cabinets and install couldnt be beat! I shopped around every affordable option and there was nothing comparable. Don and his assistant were courtious, professional and had the kitchen and bathroom cabinets installed in just 1 day. The Shrock cabinets are beautiful and great quality. Very sturdy for our rental property and they come with a lifetime warranty. There was a slight defect that only Don noticed on one of the drawers during install. He notified the manufactor on our behalf and scheduled a swap with our tenant a few weeks later when the replacement came in. I felt that was impressive customer service and great attention to detail! We will use Don again on our next project and I would highly recommend him to anyone needing a kitchen or bath remodel. read more

This is the second kitchen remodel that I purchased from Don. The 1st one was in 2006. At that time My husband did the installation himself. Almost 9 years has gone by, after checking around I still could not find any product as good as I bought from Don 9 years ago so I started searching for him. Luckily he has a Facebook page so I found him. Comparing to Home Depot estimate, Don has much better quality and price. This time we did demolition ourselves and have Don done the installation. My kitchen is small so he and his team got it done in one day. I had a problem with some cabinet wood color didn't look good so Don order the replacement for free. He also forgot about the microwave vent rotation so I called him to come back and change it which he did. So far I am happy with my new kitchen. Thank you Don. read more

We are so glad we used Don for our kitchen remodel. His pricing was well under the other quotes I received. He was on time every day. He finished on schedule despite some unforeseen issues which he resolved without charging me a change order which is unheard of in construction. I know because I spent 25 years in the construction industry, many of those years as a PM. Also the Shroke cabinets he offers are great. They soft close and are built solid with dove tail joints made from oak. They also come with a life time warranty. Don even came back well after the completion date to fix things that were our fault, twice and for free. Don really went above and beyond his contractual responsibilities to insure we were pleased with our new kitchen. read more

Guess who came in at the lowest price with the BEST references and product????? Don Silvers at Home Solutions Kitchen Remodeling. Not only was he in my budget, but I was also able to get a fantastic product (Schrock Cabinets) and many inserts to make the kitchen very practical for my needs. Also, he was able to do the demo of the old kitchen AND installation of the new kitchen cabinets in three (3) days from the time the cabinets were delivered. Don came out quickly to give us our free estimate, he was very responsive when we had questions and he finished our kitchen renovation ahead of schedule. We had 3 estimates and Don's was the most reasonable and he didn't try to pressure us to upgrade, this was our first remodel and he was very helpful with recommendations and even emailed some websites for ordering a new sink and cabinet/drawer handles. He gave us a list of countertop recommendations as well and we're thrilled with how everything came together. We had a kitchen remodel performed two years ago by Don, and the results were superb! The kitchen cabinets are made of very beautiful Cherry wood that draws a lot of attention when guests come over. Don & his team were amazing. After I made several calls to other possibilities, Don was the only one who offered to show up on a Sunday at my convenience. He took his time to talk to me about what I wanted and I felt no pressure what so ever. The work started in March right before the shut down last year, and finished within a decent time frame. Don and crew whipped our new kitchen up in less than 3 days. He was very precise in cabinet and cabinet door alignment. He made good suggestions (one which I didn't take and wish I had). After 10 years, I asked if we could get one, possibly two bottom cabinet doors replaced, due to minor water damage (had I take taken advice and ordered glazed finish, wouldn't have needed), three cabinet doors delivered to our doorstep, no charge. Don, did my kitchen. He is very fast and clean. He has my old kitchen torn out and my new kitchen installed in four days. He was efficent and everything happened on the time line he said it would. His prices are very affordable. What I like most is that the cabinets are guaranteed. I got t scratch on three doors. I told Don and he had them all replaced for me. His service is excellent. have had cabinets 2.5 years now, are holding up great. quality of cabs great. best part is their design has worked out so great, went with 15" deep uppers, best decision to go with their recommendations. wife loves them, added storage. they worked around my 48" used Viking refer and it all went together perfect. carried cabs into a bar area, and the bathroom. tied the house together nicely. would recommend to anyone. read more

Home Solutions Remodeling did an outstanding job on our kitchen. Their plans came out exactly as promised and the whole demo and cabinet installation process took only two days. Don coordinated our countertop needs with Blackstone Granite and Marble but we handled that as a separate transaction. We highly recommend both firms. They are not the cheapest but I think the added expense is worth the reassurance that this was done well.

I went in to inquire about prices and see if he would even do a small kitchen. He was absolutely lovely. He was patient and kind. He came the next day to take measurements and sent me a quote within a couple days. Price was similar to my other quotes but I'm going to be completely honest, I would have paid him more. He has so much experience. He will be completely honest with you and help you through the entire process. He's very responsive to text and email. His contractors are awesome. So professional and take so much care to get all the details right. We plan to use the contractors for our bathroom remodel as well.

I cannot understate enough how much of a mistake it was to choose Mr Cabinet Care for our kitchen cabinets on an Encinitas project. We are extremely disappointed with our experience with Mr Cabinet Care. We arranged & purchased custom cabinet drawer fronts that were supposed to be high-quality, but they arrived with noticeable gaps. the gaps were problematic for two reasons: 1. for the drawers / doors that closed incorrectly and 2. for being prone to collecting food debris (and unable to clean or remove that debris). When I contacted the company about this clear defect (the food /gap error), they completely dismissed my concerns, blaming "care and maintenance" instead of acknowledging the poor workmanship. Even worse, they provided doctored photos in an attempt to shift the blame, falsely suggesting that residue such as gum or putty had been left on the drawers. Not only was this completely untrue--no such residue existed in any of the photos we originally provided, nor in any additional photos we took. Falsifying evidence to avoid responsibility is not just dishonest; it's unethical and gives us even greater concern over other claims they've made in workmanship or materials. The operations manager even said The material you selected, White Oak Select, is naturally prone to expansion and contraction due to environmental factors such as heat and humidity. Upon reviewing the photos taken by the technician, it appears that the issues you are experiencing are likely related to care and maintenance, rather than any manufacturing defect." These were installed weeks prior to our notice, not years later, and during a cool weather season. To claim extreme weather (like heat & humidity) in San diego is laughable and outrageous. Under California law, products like these are covered by warranties ensuring they are fit for their intended purpose. These drawer fronts clearly do not meet that standard, yet the company refused to honor its obligations. Instead of standing behind their product, they chose to manipulate the situation to avoid accountability. Beware if you work with them and have future warranty issues, youre going to likely run into similar defenses and accusations. I would strongly caution anyone considering doing business with this company. If they are willing to misrepresent facts and dismiss valid concerns, I can only imagine how they handle other customer complaints. I regret my purchase and would never recommend them to anyone looking for quality craftsmanship or honest customer service. We will not be using them for any future HGTV projects nor recommending them to other clients or customers. Update: 3/2026- cabinetry paneling (eg, refrigerator) has now had its glue come undone leaving a larger gap on one panel vs other panels ... We've also seen stripping used for drawers come unglued. the masterclass in poor workmanship continues ...
