Bathtub was not set or caulked correctly. Within 3 months grout was cracked in tub tile and master shower pan. A number of cabinet doors were warped or had streaky paint finishes ( one was supposedly reordered). I sent Eddy numerous emails and text messages with the pictures but never received a response. I had to pay another contractor to fix. Very disappointed.

Let me just say that I got lucky, I called Eddy from North Star Kitchen & Bath! To be honest, I did call several other companies, because that is what you should do. Eddy was very impressive, knowledge wise. But I picked the fast talker. Blue Sky, more expensive, and couldn't deliver. Eddy called me back, was less expensive (not cheaper, there is a difference) and delivered! Eddy designed exactly what we wanted, gave us expert advice (I know, as I have been in the business 25 years), and we had a new kitchen in three weeks! When I sold kitchens, it was always 6 weeks minimum. That's amazing! His team did, demo, repair, new custom built cabinets, custom granite countertops (Cygnus), tile backsplash, new LED can and under cabinet (we love the lighting!) lighting, and even a new crown molding. Installed appliances as well (Go Bosch). Again, three weeks! Eddy and Omar even changed part of the tile splash, because my wife didn't like what she picked. Kudos to the crew for working with us! On price, on time, quality and integrity, Eddy is your man! PS. Flooring, painting and windows next (by others), I will let you know, who and how, it goes (follow me). Paver Joe

In August, I had my Mom's bathroom remodeled with North Star Bath. I live in another city. Eddie did a great job keeping me apprised of the status of the remodel. It was basically a complete gut. We had the current shower replaced with a linen cabinet, a couple walls removed, the toilet moved and replaced, the tub converted into a large shower, new vanity, new lights, flooring, new windows and a soffit removed. He and his team did a great job staying on time and on budget. My mom loved the results. There were some later nights working (6:30 - 7:00) and my mom would have liked work to end by 5:00. Not a huge problem though. Eddie was a pleasure to work with and if I ever have any more bath or kitchen remodels, I would definitely go to him again.

I want to preface this review by saying that I haven't written a review in years. I only typically write a review if the service is exceptionally good or exceptionally bad. That being said, North Star would get 6 stars if YELP would allow it. We met with 3 different contractors and got pricing from all 3 on a complete gut and re-do of our master bathroom. North Star pricing was competitive and Eddy came highly recommended by my in-laws because of work he did for them. He is extremely knowledgeable and makes suggestions that are spot on. I manage construction projects for a living, so I've got very high expectations and no patience for delays, and I have to say that Eddy exceeded my expectations. His guys are very nice and the quality of work is EXCEPTIONAL! Unbelievably, his price stayed the same even after I requested a few extra things like an additional outlet, tile repairs in my guest bathroom, carpet patch in my closet, etc.. This company isn't just good, they are exceptional. I would recommend them to everyone!

Eddy and the crew finished up a bathroom remodel for us in time and within the budget. Eddy was able to negotiate the fee to meet our budget and still deliver what was being asked. We are very happy with their workmanship and level of detail. The crew were fine with spending time after hours to finish the job within the expected time. We are happy with North Star and would recommend them.

Many thanks to Eddy and his team members, Wes and Fino for completing my small bathroom remodel with such speed and efficiency! Due to the pandemic, all things came to a stop in March, and I had to live with a boxed vanity and a toilet sitting on my covered patio until July. Well, the wait was worth it! The attention to detail was phenomenal, and the guys even took the time to clean my skylight, which was not part of the project. I've already recommended North Star to my neighbor who is considering a similar project in the future. Well done, guys!

Eddy and his crew were awesome and Eddy worked every step of the way with me to every tiny detail, he even went shopping with me to get all the pieces and parts. He really goes out of the way and answers all your calls and questions. They remodeled my bathroom. I love it so much more than before. Thank you North Star crew. Don't hesitate to use them. They are very professional and made sure the house was clean before they left.

My embarrassing bathroom prior to demo.

I am in love with my new master bath and I have Eddy and his team to thank! I had a very specific design in my head and they brought it to life. Whenever a problem came up, they came to me and we worked together to find a solution. (there weren't many) Fino bends over backwards to make sure I'm happy and is always cheerful and cooperative and he can fix just about anything! Fabian worked wonders with my tile and again, the most agreeable to work with. Miguel made what could have been a plumbing nightmare turn into a dream come true. (for a minute, we thought that the tub wasn't going to fit!) And of course, Eddy was always on top of everything. Whenever I had a concern, he would call or text to let me know that he was on it and would correct anything I was worried about. He was always honest about any add ons I requested and even recommended a very economical counter top. Most importantly, he and his crew showed up when they said they would and stayed until they were finished. If you've ever hired contractors before, you know that this one thing is worth hiring them! Their attention to detail and quality work are icing on the cake. Thanks guys, I almost wish I had another bathroom to decorate. lol

I immediately got nervous when the first day they showed up they were taking measurements on scrap paper and started saying it would be more money for plywood and backer board and it has to have a seam and the job will take 3 weeks longer than originally promised. Things that were standard in every other bid. I pulled the plug and went back to Amazonia who provided a detailed contract and timeline and did everything they said they would do with the most professionalism. They got me a good deal on the slab, templated for accuracy, fabricated in just a few days. When they came to install it was a full crew and they worked like a machine and were in and out fast. I couldn't be happier with the quality of the job and how the team operated. Everything was done in 5 days. Highly recommend!!!!

We visited the showroom and got to see different materials and styles. After much consideration, we decided on purchasing Dekton countertops because of durability, its modern look, and no maintenance. Michael, the owner's team, came out took measurements and on the day of the build they did a promo job. They made sure specifications fit our kitchen and installed our under sink sink. Everything looked great and was level. We had purchased a big enough slab to also allow for a waterfall countertop, which was the highlight of our kitchen. They worked with our existing cabinets and just replaced the countertop. More recently. We had my mom visiting and she accidentally chipped our Dekton countertops along the edge of the inner sink. Michael and his team were prompt to get out within a few days and repair the chip. They even resealed our sink at our request. His team was quick and you cannot tell where the damage was. Thank you Lyvayko Countertops!

Our budget was tight, and I had originally intended to save money by using a leftover piece. When I couldn't find anything I liked under his remnants, Michael hunted down a killer deal on some new material for me. Our counter was a very odd shape, and the drywall behind the backsplash proved uneven. The installation went smoothly anyway, and the end result looks absolutely beautiful. Would highly recommend this small business!

The granite was also very dark and busy. Knew I wanted Quartz so no more sealing every couple of years. Went in with pictures and measurements to get a price to see if this was in my budget and then returned with a couple of my cabinet doors (per Steve's suggestion) and chose a Quartz that I couldn't be happier with. It was not an easy installation because of the layout and different counter heights and a bar top that wasn't built correctly in the first place. The crews were on time and very professional. They really turned out beautifully and I'm so pleased with the final result. I highly recommend Rock-It if you're considering new countertops!

FINAL UPDATE: We're happy to report that the company…read morereturned and corrected the seam -- and it now looks great and matches the quality of the others. We truly appreciate the follow-through and the effort to make it right. While the process to get here was frustrating at times, the end result is what we had hoped for from the start. Thank you to the team for addressing our concerns. UPDATE/REPLY TO OWNER: After I posted this review, the owner replied and said that seam variation is normal and that they always try to make seams as minimal and consistent as possible. That all sounds reasonable -- but here's what the reply leaves out. The seam we're concerned about has visible glue residue and looks just like the others did, which they had already cleaned up successfully during the same install. The only difference? By the time we brought this one up, we'd already paid in full. We weren't asking for perfection -- just for this last seam to be finished to the same standard. Instead, we were told "nothing can be done," and no one even offered to come take a look. Honestly, it turned what had been a great experience into a really frustrating one. Most of the work looks good, but the way things were handled after the fact left us feeling like we weren't valued once the payment cleared. ORIGINAL REVIEW: We hired this company because of their excellent reviews, competitive pricing, and ability to work within our timeline -- and overall, we're somewhat happy with how the countertops turned out. When we met Steven, we emphasized how important it was to us that the seams be as minimal as possible. When we reviewed the templates, we raised concerns about one seam being placed in a very prominent location. We were told it had to go there, but that every effort would be made to minimize its appearance. During installation, the team was friendly and professional. On the first day, they noticed that the quartz pieces had some bowing issues (apparently, this can happen if the slabs are stored outside, which these were). The owner called to explain that they needed to correct the bowing to ensure the seams would be less noticeable. This adjustment delayed their initial timeline of 7 days after templating. The team added braces to the countertops and returned a few days later. There were additional delays getting the waterfall edges and windowsill installed, but once everything was in place, we were generally satisfied with the overall look. However, about a week later, we noticed one seam that stood out from the others -- visibly rougher and less refined. We contacted the owner and were told this kind of thing happens, that nothing could be done, and that even worse seams are displayed in their showroom. That response left us disappointed. Given how good the other seams looked, we were surprised at the lack of effort or interest in finding a resolution. If you hire Rock-It, we recommend staying engaged through the final details of the install. Be sure you're 100% satisfied before signing off and paying in full. We hope the company will take this kind of feedback to heart and continue to prioritize finish quality and post-install support.
