I say this as someone who has incredibly high expectations, discerning taste and admittedly can be a pain in the ass when it comes to the details. Randy's crew, Andrew and Antonio, were not only incredibly skilled craftsmen, but also some of the most respectful people we've ever had work in our home. They took real pride in their work, were friendly, meticulous, and exceptionally clean. They would not let me lift a finger, whether it was moving furniture, cleaning up, or trying to help in any way. I typically dread having vendors in my house, and after being burned more than once by residential contractors who cut corners or simply don't do what they say they're going to do, these guys were such a breath of fresh air. Randy himself is a straight shooter and isn't going to give you warm fuzzies over the phone, but he will give you an excellent finished product. And ultimately, that's what matters. I don't want a smooth talker that sells me on a bid only to drop the ball mid project. I wish I would found them many years / projects ago. I got several bids and although Amazonia was my first choice I went with another contractor to save a few dollars. I immediately got nervous when the first day they showed up they were taking measurements on scrap paper and started saying it would be more money for plywood and backer board and it has to have a seam and the job will take 3 weeks longer than originally promised. Things that were standard in every other bid. I pulled the plug and went back to Amazonia who provided a detailed contract and timeline and did everything they said they would do with the most professionalism. They got me a good deal on the slab, templated for accuracy, fabricated in just a few days. When they came to install it was a full crew and they worked like a machine and were in and out fast. Amazonia installed countertops in our remodeled kitchen and outdoor bbq area. They were very accomodating with changes and delays with the remodel. Randy was very easy to work with for pricing and getting additional materials. In the end, we're very happy with how our countertops look. The reason for the 4 versus a 5 is because we had to call them back to fix some clearly crooked tops and a cutout that didn't fit quite right. We had talked about how to fix the cutout but in the end, they went a different direction without informing us first. But again, in the end, we're pretty happy.
