Signed up with Burtech in 2024 for a tankless water heater maintenance program that included annual flushes for $79 "for the LIFE of the unit." That pricing was a major selling point and one of the reasons I chose them over other companies at the time. When I recently called to schedule my annual service, I was told the program had been discontinued and I would need to enroll in a new VIP plan at a significantly higher cost ($200+). The new pricing represents a substantial increase from what was originally promised. They stated they attempted to notify customers of the change, but I never agreed to any modification of the original terms. When I asked for documentation showing that the agreement allowed for this change, none was provided. After multiple exchanges, they did not budge and continued to repeat the same generic explanation rather than addressing the core issue of honoring the original agreement. I mean if they are going to promise the LIFE of the unit and then change the policy they should at a minimum give people under the previous plan at least 3-5 years before transitioning just out of fairness, not just cut them off the next year after. It's obviously fine to charge the new price to new customers. Anyway, at no point was there any effort to resolve the situation or offer a reasonable accommodation. I've been around a long time and dealt with many businesses, I've never seen anything like this. Given their otherwise strong reputation and BBB rating, this was particularly disappointing. As a long-term retired military customer who values reliability and transparency when choosing companies to service my home, this experience fell very short. Customers should be aware that long-term pricing commitments will not be honored or grandfathered and replaced with significantly higher-cost programs based on daily business decisions. read more

I had called in a plumbing service for a number of needs, and I actually had to follow up a week later to squeeze an estimate out of them. Then I had Burtech come out; they generated an estimate on the spot, and five minutes later, I got a call from their office to officially schedule time. Compare and contrast! Jaime was my technician, and he was here for almost 4 full days as we had so much work we needed to do. He was efficient, beyond capable, a great problem solver, and perhaps as importantly almost felt like a member of the household by the time he was done. I'm not sure how one could give greater praise than that. In any event, a highly recommended option, regardless of whether you need a toilet reseated or a laundry list of large jobs completed. read more

Once again these guys came through. Needed help with a water heater for a relative near my home, and they came within an hour of being called on a Sunday. They ddn't charge extra on Sundays and their cost was very reasonable, actually less than what they quoted when I called. Kyle is really knowledgeable and so helpful and considerate. I hired this plumber to repair a leaking kitchen sink drain. During the repair, he repositioned the left drain pipe back to its original position and replaced a damaged gasket on the right drain, then tightened the connection. According to the completion notes, he tested both sink drains and confirmed there were no leaks. We also checked the sink several times after the repair, and everything appeared to be working properly. Unfortunately, about 10 days later, the left drain--the same one where the pipe had been repositioned--started leaking again underneath the sink. When I reviewed the invoice, I noticed that the warranty applied only to the replaced gasket. The invoice specifically states that if there is any future leak underneath the kitchen sink, there is no warranty coverage. I understand that not every repair lasts forever, but I was disappointed that the leak returned after only 10 days and that the part of the repair that ultimately failed was not covered by any warranty. I expected a more durable repair and clearer warranty coverage. read more

Emergency call out for repair of pinprick leak, on a weekend (of course). Burtech got a technician, Josh, out within 24 hours. Josh efficiently replaced the failed component and restored normal operation. Josh also walked the entire property with us and provided a quote to re-pipe everything, explain the procedure and options. read more

I found this service thru yelp for a plumbing need. They immediately responded and we scheduled the next day for a two hour time window which I planned for. One hour prior to the scheduled time they contacted me to let me know they were unavailable and could not reschedule for four more days. I found this to be inconvenient and unprofessional. I did not book the appt with them due to the long wait before they could get by to service. read more

Burtech Plumbing came out right before Thanksgiving for what we thought was a small leak. They were efficient and worked quickly. While the leak itself wasn't a big issue, once the ceiling was opened we discovered that all of our copper pipes were badly corroded. They recommended a full repipe of our home. We have a 4,000 square foot house, so this was a huge project. I got multiple quotes, and Burtech landed right in the middle price-wise. What really stood out to me was how willing they were to work with my specific requests. I had major stipulations, especially that they complete the repipe without visually accessing our kitchen, and they made it happen. They worked with our timeline, and Jose was incredibly communicative throughout the entire process. I'll admit I was a bit needy with questions, but he was always patient, understanding, and responsive. The estimate they gave us was exactly what we paid in the end--no surprise costs at all. The repipe itself was major (60+ holes throughout the house), but they worked so efficiently that it never felt overly intrusive. They were very clean, vacuumed and cleaned up every day, and truly respected our home. We have two young kids who nap, and they even worked around nap schedules so they weren't in certain rooms during that time. Overall, I'm extremely impressed with Burtech Plumbing. I recently hired Burtech Plumbing to unclog my kitchen sink drain. The job took about an hour, which was expected--but what wasn't expected was the outrageous $349 bill. I've had this same service done in the past by other plumbing companies for around $100, so this pricing felt excessive and frankly unjustified. The plumber showed up and did the work efficiently, but the cost just doesn't align with the service provided. There's no breakdown or explanation that could possibly justify a $349 charge for a standard drain unclogging. Based on my experience, I wouldn't recommend using Burtech Plumbing unless you're okay with overpaying for basic plumbing work. Shop around--there are definitely more reasonably priced options out there read more

I needed to have a retired gas connection shut off and securely capped. I called Burtech Plumbing on a Friday and was given an appointment for Monday between 12 and 2 PM. Juan Correa texted me before he arrived . I showed him and his coworker the connection, they examined it, gave me an estimate which met my expectations, and did the job in just a few minutes. They were pleasant and professional, and only tried to upsell me a little . Juan promised to email my receipt . When I didn't receive one I contacted the office . They tried to resend the email and it turned out the photo attachments were too large. I was able to receive the receipt with some nice before and after images . read more

I thought I had a leak upstairs. Sent me a guy with 40 years of experience and 8 grandkid. In about five minutes he told me the problem wasn't a leak, but that my youngest child was peeing on the carpet! (I think that's what the combo of experience and grandkids gives you.) And then spent the rest of the time explaining why it couldn't be a leak and proving it by showing me how to read the water meter. We then had him check some other outstanding plumbing questions we had. Great guy. Great service. We have worked with Dave from Burtech Plumbing before and he has always done a great job. He is very knowledgeable, has identified issues and provides the correction options, along with the pros and cons of each. In addition, he has provided incremental information, suggestions and in some cases services based upon unexpected issues that he comes upon. His knowledge this time came in especially helpful as one of our issues this time was a kitchen sink that was backing up. Before working at the sink cleanout, he noticed water running down our driveway, investigated it and discovered that our issue was not the kitchen sink but rather a blockage in the main sewage line from our house to the street. He snaked the blockage and saved us from a bigger disaster had he not noticed and corrected the sewage line issue.
