Kenneth was incredible from start to finish. We have had two separate companies out to look at our guest shower's low water pressure. The best they had said was maybe it is the shower head needing a new filter. We tried that, and it never worked. He spent five hours diagnosing the problem, and came out the next day. Visiting my single daughter, a teacher, the toilet water supply valve would not shut off. Handy myself and having done this before for her, I went about replacing it. A problem arose with a damaged copper bib that made installing the replacement compression ring difficult. Having met Mike at Home Depot I called and to my surprise... he spent 15 or more minutes advising me on my options to correct this safely. Not only spending time with me at some "risk" when the "DYIer" fails, he graciously refused my offer of sending him a fee for his time for his "skill, caring, and expertise." After spending hours and hours scouring through YELP plumber reviews and reading ALL the reviews for any potential candidates, I finally found Proactive Plumbing. My first phone call to Proactive was answered by Mike, the owner. He was extremely helpful! Kenny was scheduled for the next day. He arrived on time, called when he was on his way, and quickly accessed the problem area. He listened attentively as I explained the many issues we were having with the contractor and the various possible reasons/causes of our water-related issues. Kenny meticulously investigated all the possible causes and was able to identify the cause when others could not. Fixing it posed some challenges but Kenny did not flinch. In addition to only partially covering the opening in the Quartzite slab with the intended connector, the original plumber also installed the hot and cold cartridges backwards. Kenny had to get creative to come up with fixes given the joined pipes that make up our Delta Shower fixtures but he proceeded without any issues! When he was finished Kenny cleaned up and left the area ready for the next team that will reinstall the drywall, and retexture, and paint the drywall. The owner, Mike, was a pleasure to talk to he expedited our workorder. Kenny is a rockstar!! He is clearly a seasoned plumber with great skills! He was also a good communicator and a wonderful person. My address will only have one plumber and that is Proactive and Kenny. Mike was amazing; honest, quick response (630am, made it out by 900am), and fair with pricing. Story: Water pressure regulator was having issues going from 50 psi to 140 psi. I tried adjusting it myself but it continued to fluctuate. I called Mike after looking at yelp and he quoted me a fair price to replace the water pressure regulator and made it out within a few hours. When he got here he diagnosed the potential issues, talk me through the process, and ultimately made the decision to keep the current regulator after confirming there was nothing blocking it when it was removed and inspected. I appreciate the fact he didn't automatically (up-sell) say to replace it which other plumbers may have done.
