Kitchen sink backed up. Called 4 companies and chose Swift. Didn't know but they are a family owned company where I'd rather have my money go. Talked to Mike who said he could be there today. I called him back and he arrived at 4:20 pm. It took less than an hour for him to snake the drain then again with a chain to get the grease out. I was hosting a masked swinger event this week, we were all having a fun time enjoying ourselves when disaster struck. One of the guest flushed a used condom down the drain and it clogged the main. I am 67 so this treatment constitutes elder abuse. I hired Michael at Swift Flow because when I used my washing machine, the toilet in my guest bathroom backed up. He said the toilet was clogged and gave me an estimate for $2,750. I had no way of knowing if this price was reasonable or not. Michael noticed that there was sewage under the master bedroom. I could smell it. He called Tim at Fusion, Fire and Flood and he came right out. He gave me an estimate of approximately $6,000 to clean the crawl space and to replace the floor. I would be charged another $500 to have Michael reinstall the master bathroom toilet. To make a long story short, Michael and another guy spent an hour or maybe slightly more to fix the pipe beneath my home. That means they made more than $1,500 an hour and as it turned out, they didn't do the work. According to a second plumber I had to pay $750 for, Michael had cut a piece out of the pipe and spliced it together to make it looks as if it was fixed, but it was still leaking. They did not do what was on the estimate. After I reversed the charges, Michael showed my bank videos and paperwork, so they declined my claim. I am going to have to fight the charges again because Michael refused to return my calls or to give me an itemized list of what was done. My friend who knows about such things, eviscerated Time a Fusion because he said the $6,000 was only for taking the floor out and that I was going to get another estimate for putting it back in. I stopped payment on my check and so Fusion only got about $300. Claire at Fusion threatened to put a lien on my house. My friend was handed over to the owner of Fusion, Brandon, who admitted that he has a standard fee, regardless of how much work is done. He didn't mess with me after my friend jerked him around and didn't put up with his HS. Michael at Swift Flow is another matter. I'm going to be suing him and going after his license. I will be suing the Bank of America too. The person at B of A handling this matter is an idiot and I am going to make them pay for it. read more
