Ordered a bowl of chili loaded. They could even dice the onion and they put a whole slice of cheese in it. I won't visit this location again.

My friend and I stopped in here to get a drink and they served the drink in a polystyrene cup. This is an illegal product in the District of Columbia and has been banned for several years. Please do better Potbelly! Customers these days expect compostable/paper products and definitely not illegal petrochemical products.

During the lunch rush, the line can snake out the door, but don't be intimidated - it moves pretty fast, especially when the guy with the iPad walks down the line taking your order, even before you reach the counter. Ten small tables provide outdoor seating, but only three have shade umbrellas. The indoor seating gets noisy, especislly on the afternoons when they have live music. They sell Zapp's chips imported from New Orleans but not the Jalapeño flavor yet. Pepsi and Dr. Pepper products on tap, or you can make your own sweet tea. The dessert offerings include ice cream, cookies, and milkshakes - put a scoop of vanilla between two chocolate chip cookies for a new choice!

Though I've known this was here for a little while, for some reason I never though to come here for lunch until a co-worker suggested we go here for lunch. My routine is to pick up a foot long at Subways in the morning and have half for breakfast, and the other half for lunch. It helps me moderate my consumption of tasty but unhealthy foods at Sizzling Express. I've been to other Pot Belly's before and I've always been a fan. This place was just as good as the other places I've been to with one exception. They actually had a musician there playing music. I thought it was nice, but my older colleague didn't much care for the music because he actually knew all the songs he was trying to play. HA HA HA. Anyway I got "The Wreck" which is a favorite. Looking to come here more often especially when I get tired of going to Subways all the time. Considering it's the Navy Yard, there are lots of maritime themed pictures, but there could be more.

I contacted Janet at Potbelly's Customer Service (like she asked) to see how she was going to "make it right." I never head back from her.

Really enjoyed the local bass which had a crispy skin and was cooked at the perfect amount of tender. The cocktails were good and our server was friendly. The black squid ink pasta was good. The sweet potato pie was okay, potentially lackluster compared to the rest of the food. Loved the indoor / outdoor seating especially on a day that had beautiful weather.

I had never been before, and he was seemed curious to try, so we stopped by. They have outdoor seating, but there was no service at the time, which was too bad because the weather was outstanding. The host is said we could take drinks out there, but not food. So we just opted for the bar. Thankfully, they eventually opened one of the doors real wide so the outdoor air was coming in and that was nice. Happy hour was going until 6:30, and I have to admit that some of these happy hour prices are regular prices at other places XD, but remember it's the wharf. And there was a time when happy hour there wasn't even a thing. So I got a glass of wine and yellowtail tacos with salad. I wasn't expecting the yellowtail to be fried, but it was fine. The salad was way bigger than I thought it would be. It was good. My cousin got the burger and fries... I tasted it and I think I enjoyed the burger more, haha. That smoked cheddar, whew! I found the fries to be pretty average. The ambiance of the place is very nice and I could see myself returning. Some other people at the bar got some amazing looking dishes too, but I know they were expensive XD.

As we were walking back towards our hotel, we actually were passing here so I chose it for our din din spot. I thought for sure it was going to be packed but luckily it was not. I knew I wanted a burger but was struggling with choosing which one. Hubs knew he wanted the Cheesesteak and knew I wanted fries. I went with the Smokehouse burger. We grabbed a seat and did not wait long for our food to come out. I really enjoyed my burger and scarfed it down! I paid for sauces, which were tiny and super overpriced. Hubs enjoyed his cheesesteak but he prefers meat. I had a bite and thought it was really flavorful and very closely tasting like the real thing. I noticed later this is a chain, which is pretty cool. I think the prices were pretty steep so I might skip on the fries next time. The food could have been warmer as well. Definitely worth a visit and will most likely be back when in DC again.

The Grill serves up solid food and service…read more I visited on a very busy Saturday night with a reservation for 6 people at 6:30 PM. I tried the lobster roll ($39) and Cajun Branzino ($49) and both were good. The lobster roll was Maine-style -- cold with mayo -- which is not my preferred style, but it was still pretty good. The side of fries were great -- crispy and well-seasoned. I liked that the lobster roll had a specific price on the menu and not just "MP." The branzino was also very good. Everyone else had good things to say about their dishes, which included the clam chowder, seafood linguini, and caesar salads. Service was good but uneven in spots; there were some nice touches, but also a few misses. For example, they poured the canned beer for us tableside and remembered a guest's birthday with a small slice of cheesecake (free). But, they forgot crackers to go with the clam chowder, didn't deliver dishes to the correct people, and were a few minutes late bringing the last entree after all the others had arrived. It was a busy night, but also they should be used to that. We sat in the back dining area and the ambiance was fine.
