If 0 stars was an option I'd give just that((NOTE:REVIEW IS A BIT LENGTHY )) Its extremely disappointing that they never specify the hours and location...I've been wanting to try their food for a little while now and me and my mother(73yrs old) just so happen to bump into them in front of a retail store on their food truck "Stocking up".I asked them how we could order and was told they'd be up and running at 11 pm in the McDonald's parking lot diagonal from HU,So we were excited giving us time to shop and be there well enough time for them to be up and running.Keep in mind this was just after 9pm for reassurance I asked before walking off the exact location because we uber and also its literally under 40-45 degrees outside atp. My driver gets there a bit after 12 and literally no truck in sight,My driver was kind enough to circle around two blocks 3 times!!! Just to make sure we didn't over look or maybe see they had to station somewhere else.NOTHING! This was disappointing again because my mother is a southern Nav. And since moving up here 4 years ago we look for consistent and authentic if not close to soul food which has been a lil hard to find. Last,Moving forward to try and give it a try again it's closed and unavailable yet states online,Maps and also their own platform that they are open.Whoever is running this business needs a lot more work on transparency,Consistency and overall Honesty with the public on Hours and Location (Food Truck) especially when you have an audience who dedicates their time to travel just to see what the "Hype" is about. Wow wow wow! I am always chasing wings, and I am glad I found a spot in DC with good ones. After my family spent time on the side of town with the more expensive restaurants, we started to hit up more of the local spots. Soul Wingz didn't disappoint. They offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner options all day long. The food is cooked on the grill in front of you while you wait. This is a DC corner spot restaurant, that has minimal seating inside. However, there are table outside for people to eat at. However, small warning, there are large dumpsters nearby, you may smell garbage while you eat. We ordered: Chicken and French toast Wingz (mumbo) and fries Wingz, Mac & cheese and yams French toast and bacon Quesadilla Lemonade Everything was good and fresh. Will never go back! Couldn't find the place and ended up being inside a club. Music was very loud for just 6 people (including the workers). The most delicious wings I've EVER had!!! Had four flavors: soul, mango habanero, spicy lemon pepper, and southern bbq. Wow I was skeptical at first to try but wow!! The line was long but for the price and the food was worth the wait. Everything was made fresh to order; the fries were crispy as were the wings, the chicken cheese steak was very flavorful and the cake and lemonade were delicious. I thought the lemonade would have an artificial taste but it was great. And the serving size is big for the price, I have a few days of leftovers. Nice and attentive family restaurant! I was definitely fooled by the reviews! We came in alittle before 9:30 pm Whilst looking over the menu, we noticed the cook using the same utensils for the steak with the shrimp!!!! My friend that was with me is highly allergic and decided not to order anymore. I order the fish with two sides and blueberry lemonade. When I went to pay the cashier tells me that their credit system is down and they're only accepting cash, Cashapp and Zelle! I paid with Zelle and we had a seat. Shortly thereafter other customers started to roll in and the cook was becoming increasingly behind and overwhelmed! 35 minutes go by and my order still hasn't been started! I waited another 10 minutes before asking the status and the cashier says " it's almost ready" which was pure nonsense! It's now been a hour and at this point I tell him if the fish hasn't been cooked yet , to just refund me so we can go! He says to just give the cook another 10 minutes and it will be ready. 10 minutes later and it finally ready after being there for over an hour! Before leaving I inform the cashier about telling the cook the importance using of separate cooking utensils when cooking seafood! He gives a generic "yeah okay I will " type of answer . I liked the food the first time eating there. However, I give the restaurant 3 stars because of the information online. Their website and menu say they serve breakfast all day, but they told me they stopped breakfast when I chose my food. Their website says they open at 6 am M-F. They were closed at 9am on a Tuesday. I don't know if those days were different or if those were their regular operations. I am okay if this is this is regular. They need to update their website and menu to reflect their operation (especially if they don't open in the morning). read more

The food is OK and I'm saying that cuz for their prices one can't really expect amazing soul food. But ignoring the taste of food which is often flavorless they aren't consistent with their hours, I work nearby and never walk over because I've walked over 7 time on 7 different days not in the same wk and they weren't open and should have been. I know how to cook and have lived in the DMV all my life I'm a Bowie Alumni and know Good food in the DMV is always a hit or miss, but I'm not gonna keep wasting my 30 minute lunch breaks on possibly eating!
