Really liked their selection of drinks...was there milk in the milk punch? Lol The Cauliflower and Honey cornbread options were delicious. Have had success here two times - would return.

I'm so glad we did because they definitely did not disappoint! The ambiance is absolutely beautiful with its vintage, antique-inspired décor. The restaurant was clean, inviting, and had a really warm atmosphere. The service was exceptional from start to finish. Chris, the manager, was incredibly welcoming and attentive. He came over to greet our table, knew we had been sent over from Gatsby, and surprised us with complimentary pecan cinnamon rolls. Those cinnamon rolls were easily a 10/10--soft, warm, and absolutely delicious! Our server was just as amazing. She was friendly, attentive, and checked on us throughout the meal to make sure everything was perfect. She also gave us some great recommendations, which we appreciated. Food & Drinks: * Belle's Kiss (Mocktail): 8/10 * Belle's Punch: 10/10 (It reminded me so much of Gatsby's Punch!) * Bellini: 7/10 * Deviled Eggs: 9.5/10 * Salmon: 6/10 * Mushroom Rice: 6/10 * Fries: 8/10 * Old Bay Mac & Cheese: 9/10 * Fried Chicken Sandwich: 8/10 * Buttermilk Biscuits: 6.5/10 Overall, I would definitely come back, especially for dinner. I will say that by the time my entrée arrived, I was already pretty full from the deviled eggs, biscuits, and those incredible cinnamon rolls. The only items that missed the mark for me were the salmon and mushroom rice. They were both a little dry and lacked seasoning. As a pescatarian, my entrée options were somewhat limited since I wasn't in the mood for trout or shrimp and grits, so I gave the salmon a try. Even with those few misses, the outstanding service, beautiful atmosphere, and several standout dishes made this a great experience. I'll definitely be back to explore more of the menu.

Excellent food, phenomenal drinks, and perfect location!…read more If you are staying at the JW Marriott or visiting the nearby museums, The Hamilton is a must-visit. Having lived in DC previously, this was always a favorite spot of mine, and it still holds up perfectly. The food was high quality, the drinks were stellar, and the value is spot on for the experience. Our initial post-travel meal was so good that we returned the very next day for drinks at the bar. It would have been a flawless two days if they still had the St. Louis Gooey Cake on the menu, but it is still a highly recommended staple.

I re injured my hip and had to use a scooter to get around and they accommodated my situation like rockstars. My bartender Alondra was fantastic--super friendly and attentive. Set me up with a manager to get me downstairs via elevator. If you like an Old Fashioned, try The Pair of Aces--you'll love it! The staff downstairs during the game was fantastic, handling the lively crowd with ease. The pizza was great with a perfect crispy crust, and the sushi was fantastic--fresh and full of flavor. Highly recommend The Hamilton. I'll definitely be back soon!

We come here all the time for the bread pudding but this time we brought a group. Always pleasant and lively, Puddin reminds me of southern hospitality at its finest. The bread pudding is served warm and rich with chunks of bread and browned butter and bourbon flavors throughout. Add the creamy homemade vanilla pudding on top and we never leave without it. We also got to sample a new alcoholic beverage that was heavenly. Cannot remember the name but if you go to the front counter they will give you a sample of the mixer. Trust me, you will want to order it. The gumbo was a crowd favorite. One sample and the flavor made you want to double back. My guests walked the area and came back specifically to get some to take home. They boxed it up separately for easy transport. Now that is service. Quick and easy stop right before it rained. Puddin is a complete takeout spot but the vibes while you order and wait make it a counter worth visiting again and again. The hospitality, the comfort food, and the inviting staff make it unforgettable.

Overall it was good and I would visit this location again.

The décor was beautiful, with red and blue rose walls that create a sweet, feminine feel that really seems catered to the ladies. The D.C. location has two levels, and we were dining downstairs. Friday nights also offer a live band and DJ, adding to the nightlife vibe. Our African American General Manager was one of the highlights. He was very polite, friendly, and knowledgeable about the restaurant's history, and his hospitality was appreciated. The Food The Chicken, Shrimp & Sausage Rice Gumbo with Crab Legs was flavorful, but very spicy. Unfortunately, the salad wasn't good for a basic Cesar salad. The Cotton Candy Mocktail: I ordered the Cotton Candy Mocktail, which was $25. While the presentation was cute, it was extremely sweet--so sweet that I had to dilute it with water before I could enjoy it. I was also disappointed that I couldn't use my drink card toward the mocktail because the drink card was specifically for wine. Since the mocktail was $25, that was definitely something I noticed. Other Notes: I wasn't a fan of the connecting bathroom sinks. That setup just wasn't my preference. Final Take: Atmosphere: Grown & Sexy Décor: Beautiful rose walls GM: Polite, friendly & knowledgeable Food: Too spicy for my taste Cotton Candy Mocktail: $25 and far too sweet Overall: Kitchen + Kocktails definitely wins for atmosphere, décor, and hospitality, but the food and $25 mocktail didn't wow me. The mocktail being that sweet and not being eligible for the drink card was disappointing. Cute spot, but not a must-return for me.
