My five chicken wings with wedges, both fried hard and to perfection!!
    Venitra T.

I ordered my food thru Door Dash. I have heard so many wonderful things about the food over the years so when I was on Door Dash looking for places to eat for lunch I came across Yellow house. My food arrived withing 30 minutes. It was hot and fresh. I asked for my chicken and potato wedges to be well done and they were fried too perfection!! My son even liked his food and he is very picky about chicken if I don't fry it. I gave them 5 stars because they deserved it!! They knew the assignment!

Well...I went here, I got food, I ate...I left. A plethora of the people that follow my page, requested me to visit, and review this spot, so I obliged...much to my dismay. The food was good, the service was deplorable!! Unfortunately I expected the service at Yellow House located on 4011 Minnesota Ave., N.E. Washington D.C. to be subpar. I walk in, I was looked at, no other patron was occupying any space in there except me, not one person spoke to me. I walk to the counter...the cashier walks away. I noticed a sign that said cash only, I didn't ask...I just pulled some cash out. As the cashier came back (fully masked), I noticed she was clinching her masked covered nose. She didn't ask what I'd like to order, so I just ordered...5 wings, potato wedges, and a half and half (half tea drink half lemonade drink). The meal was $17.50, which is overpriced. It would be a 10 min wait so I walk back to my car. I walk back in, ten mins later, and there were 3 ladies in line. My food was ready, so she motioned, aggressively, for me to come to the counter. I went...she's still holding her nose. I was alarmed at that, and asked her was it me that was repugnant to her nostrils. She said yes!! Apparently my Frankincense & Myrrh fragrance disturbed her so much that she had to clinch her nose, over her mask, as if she were a novice going under water. The ladies in the spot became defensive, and assured me that I smelled good, and that the cashiers behavior was rude, and extremely childish. Please don't subject yourself to this behavior good people...it's not healthy for you nor them. Your dignity, integrity, and self worth are much more important than some convenient food that's not well priced!! I will NEVER go back to this place. That's it. #theyellowhouseminnesotaave #rude #subparservice #horriblecustomerservice #neveragain #thatsit

What In the hell is this?! I ordered the bacon platter and this is it. Very disappointed in the portions and the limited selection of sides per platter. Additional sides are extra of course but how can you even call this a "platter". I honestly could've did a much better job myself but I wanted to give them a try. First and most definitely last.

Quick little breakfast carryout, decent selection of breakfast/ bunch item, but it a cash only!

This is by far one of the well known breakfast spots in town. It's always crowded, so I was able to hit them up before the rush. I ordered a SEC and wedges with Mambo. It was good. Not great but good. It is well documented by others that the guy that runs the counter has a bit of an attitude but he wasn't there this morning. Parking is a little questionable, especially because it's on a bus stop and the 7Eleven may tow you if you don't buy from them. The wedges were a little dry but flavorful.

This was apparent in the warm, welcoming atmosphere where everyone was working together as a team, learning, being patient, and you could see the growth and confidence happening in real time. Customer service was great and I was greeted immediately. It wasn't crowded but there was a steady flow of customers while I was there. I ordered the Breakfast Wrap, which was fantastic along with a Granny Smith apple lemonade. I would've never thought to put those two items together but it was easily one of the best lemonades I've ever tried. I had to order a second one when my daughter decided my drink was now for her. Speaking of, my daughter ordered the Nutella Stuffed French Toast and rated it a 100/10. While waiting for my order, I had a chance to speak with one of the head chef's and he told me about the culinary program their offer to teach refugees culinary skills. I loved hearing that tidbit about the shop and found it truly admirable. Overall, my only gripe is the street parking situation can be a little tough but it wasn't too bad on this particular morning. I would absolutely return.

The salmon was dry and tasted like vacuum-sealed bag salmon. The French toast was just okay, and the scrambled eggs were watery and bland. My brother waited 30 minutes for his order and when he asked about it, the response was simply, "It will be out when it's ready." That's not acceptable customer service.
