I prefer the other place. They did add onions to my potatoes like I asked. I received 4 pieces of bacon, some places only provide 2 pieces. I couldn't really taste the cheese in my eggs. Ok, before we do anything, let's get the fact that this location is in the sketchy Minnesota Ave NE/SE border out of the way. Let's also talk about how unappealing the facility is. Had I not known what I know, I probably would never walk through the sea of people that you have to walk through to get inside and order here. That said, I'm from DC, so this all was once normal for me, so I remind myself of that whenever I'm in the mood for some amazing chicken wings, potato wedges and mumbled sauce. When you talk to DC natives & ask for the best spots to get Wings and jumbo sauce you're almost pretty much guaranteed to get different answers. For me, it's Yellow House. So here's the thing, you're not going to get top notch customer service. In fact, more often than not, the person at the register is probably a kid with an attitude bc you interrupted his/her social media time. They also only take cash(there's an ATM inside). I forgot why I stop going to this Carryout. I haven't eaten there in years. So I was in the area and stop in to get some wedges. Which is now so over price it's ridiculous for some potatoes. Any way I change my mind and wonted instead 3 shrimp and wedges. Which I told her before my wedges were done and put in any container. She put them in a container and I asked so the 3 shrimp with wedges is $9 right. Because I'm looking like why she not cooking my shrimp. She said if in separate container I charge separately so $5.55 more and sat down. And she guard the mumbo sauce like it's gold. Well...I went here, I got food, I ate...I left. A plethora of the people that follow my page, requested me to visit, and review this spot, so I obliged...much to my dismay. I walk in, I was looked at, no other patron was occupying any space in there except me, not one person spoke to me. I walk to the counter...the cashier walks away. She didn't ask what I'd like to order, so I just ordered...5 wings, potato wedges, and a half and half (half tea drink half lemonade drink). The meal was $17.50, which is overpriced. It would be a 10 min wait so I walk back to my car. I walk back in, ten mins later, and there were 3 ladies in line. My food was ready, so she motioned, aggressively, for me to come to the counter. I went...she's still holding her nose. I was alarmed at that, and asked her was it me that was repugnant to her nostrils. She said yes!! Apparently my Frankincense & Myrrh fragrance disturbed her so much that she had to clinch her nose, over her mask, as if she were a novice going under water. The ladies in the spot became defensive, and assured me that I smelled good, and that the cashiers behavior was rude, and extremely childish. What In the hell is this?! I ordered the bacon platter and this is it. Very disappointed in the portions and the limited selection of sides per platter. I like this spot, it's no frills but really tasty. It reminds me of breakfast places down south where you can grab something made to order real quick. They can get pretty busy but it's worth the wait. I've only grabbed breakfast items, my go to is the salmon cakes and eggs. The portion sizes aren't the biggest but you won't be left hungry at the end. The prices are really inexpensive which is a big plus and the inside is really clean. This is by far one of the well known breakfast spots in town. It's always crowded, so I was able to hit them up before the rush. I ordered a SEC and wedges with Mambo. It was good. Not great but good. It is well documented by others that the guy that runs the counter has a bit of an attitude but he wasn't there this morning. I feel like if you come here you probably won't see this place as a five star experience. But I had a really good experience. I had some potato edges and a grilled chicken sub. Pricing is pretty standard I think. The sub was simple and tasty, just how I like it. The potato wedges are good but are even better with the mambo sauce. I was skeptical because not everyone has good mambo sauce. My boyfriend got some on his and I tried some and it's one of the better mambo sauces I've had. So I got some on mine, too! We came on a Saturday afternoon. It wasn't busy at all. It's cash only but there's an atm inside. And parking is horrendous but we used the 7 eleven parking lot. They gave me a sandwich with molded bread and said it was jelly the eggs was molded too. I then ask for my.money back and she didn't want to give it to me. I called the police and the health department. They are now investigating this. This place is located in the heart of Minnesota Ave. As I approached the building I notice a homeless person selling cigarettes and socks. I'm so picky and this food is so good the eggs is so perfect it's what really keeps me coming back they make the best eggs I've ever had but I think it's because they cook them medium unless asked extra hard so the eggs always be juicy. This establishment is not only old and run down, but the guy behind the counter is so freakin' rude. I was never greeted and he acted as though we (customers) were annoying him. Once my order was ready, I asked for Ketchup on the potato wedges, he then tossed my bag to me and then slammed the bottle of ketchup on the counter. Aside from the early closing hours and having to deal with the rowdy teenagers after school the food is pretty good and reasonable. The location is close to the metro but parking can be a bit hectic. If you want a decent breakfast this is the place to go. The lunch is also pretty good. read more

Lets start out with 5 stars and work our way down: They would have gotten 5 stars from me because they actually do have good food (breakfast is good, wedges, wings, etc.).
