If you order a club sandwich u get a good amount of ham. So I'm thinking for breakfast the amount of meat would be the same. I ordered a ham, egg and cheese on croissant. I got to pieces of paper on my sandwich. For $10!!!!!!! What's the difference between the two? Okay croissants may cost more but still, why would anyone want pieces of paper on their sandwich? They cooked the ham so long it was so crispy it was like the texture of turkey bacon. It's no need to complain cuz the guy at the register, he talks so fast & gets smart with a customer - I'll just take my money elsewhere. Where they aim to please their customers. Owner gave me the wrong food and I left and noticed when I got home 25 mins away. I called and asked for a refund and he told me he could only refund if I bought the food back. I didn't get half the food I paid for and also didn't have an hour to return a mistake I didn't make. He told me it doesn't work like that and that he tried to catch me but I "ran" out the store. I work in a warehouse on Ashwood Drive and did a Google search for in the area. Young came up so I thought I'd check it out based on the reviews. Sure glad I did, it's owned by a veteran who makes some of the best sandwiches I've had in a long time. The tuna was exactly as ordered. I was riding past this morning and decided to give Young's another try. I've been here before but that was YEARS ago. The traffic coming in and out of the restaurant told me either this spot has ok food with loyal customers OR the breakfast is good and that's why it's so many people stopping here. The prices are good compared to some of the other breakfast spots I usually stop by, and they had everything on the breakfast menu available (I hate why you order fish and grits and they don't have any fish!). So I ordered the salmon cake platter. I was surprised at how light the bag was when he handed it to me. I literally checked the container before I walked out because I thought he gave me an empty one. I immediately realized that I've been spoiled by my usual breakfast spots food portions (Either that or I'm just greedy). The taste made up for it. The salmon cake was seasoned very well, and the green peppers in it gave it a boost of flavor that took it to another level! The potatoes were cooked to perfection! They were the most tender home fries that I've had that weren't mushy, and they were also seasoned well. The eggs were scrambled hard, which I don't mind but if you want them scrambled soft you should let them know. I'll Definitely be giving this another try. His food...meh! Sausage patty seemed frozen and the French toast had 4 generations of the diabetes on it! Real talk! The food tastes delicious I will not be back. I've been here 4 times and out of that there's been hair in my food 2 times. And not just one stand of hair but multiple! The last time I visited the cook came out from back to help me and I got a good look at him for the first time. Very hairy, no hair net and looks generally unkempt. As a general rule anyone with a beard and hair on their head should have a hair net on. At first I thought other reviewers were being dramatic and I hate to leave a bad review but a shower and hair nets would go a long way before preparing food for the public. The potatoes were my favorite on the plate, the French toast was so good that I didn't need the syrup provided by the restaurant. The grits were good but that's it, don't expect these grits to blow your mind lol. The club sandwich was dry and tasted a bit brunt. We added mayonnaise and ended up scrapping off some brunt bread.
