S BACON, EGG, AND CHEESE Banana Bread Latte
    Maya B.

I've visited the Baltimore location so I thought I'd check out this one. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This is a great place to work from home. There are so many tables inside along with plenty of treasured outlets.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]In fact, I'd say most people are working so they don't keep the music too loud which I really loved.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The baristas were also friendly! In terms of what I ordered, I tried the scallion pancake bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich and it was delectable! Perfectly crispy and just a bit oily, but I didn't mind. They even gave you hand wipes on your plate. I thought for $10, the size could have been a little bigger. I'd still order it again. Now, the banana bread iced latte! As someone who likes sweet drinks, it was the perfect latte. It's difficult to find parking here and once you do find parking it's very expensive so unfortunately I don't know how often I'll be back. Overall, really enjoyed this cafe!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This place is SUUUUCH a cute vibe! Various types of seating and is cozy but spacious so pretty versatile... like it would be cute for a date and also great for teleworking![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The breakfast sandwich was interesting... like a deep fried tortilla with stuff inside... I think it would be much better with cheddar cheese instead of American. I'd prob get a pastry next time - those look amazing. And lots of coffee options, but quite pricey. An iced mocha was more than $7! It was yummy tho! I'd go back!

Had a lovely lunch here with some international family after a day of walking in DC. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This spot was a little bit expensive, but the ambiance and food were amazing.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The worker even spoke some French to accommodate my French family which was extremely thoughtful and kind. I ordered a club sandwich which came on a scallion pancake (crispy and delicious) and a cherry blossom iced latte (espresso was a little bitter). Our food was brought to us without even needing a table number (great memory by the person taking our order). I'm pretty sure this cafe is connected to either a hotel or apartment building. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is lots of great seating and it wasn't too busy when we ate around 3pm.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Terrific experience and I would highly recommend!

Any Day Now has a little something for everyone. Good food if you're there for a meal, good coffee and espresso drinks if you want more of a cafe experience. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Plenty of seating from counter top to table to lounge style chairs.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]And yes, free WiFi.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I had a Vietnamese iced coffee with ube and loved it, the espresso tasted great and the ube was a nice touch without overpowering the taste. I also had one of the breakfast scallion pancake sandwiches, super interesting! The scallion pancake served as the "bread" and was itself very tasty. It was a nice, relatively light meal, and the kimchi I added gave it another burst of flavor. I'd definitely come back here, great spot for food, drinks, and a little work.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Good food, coffee, free WiFi and ample seating?[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] This coffee shop never disappoints! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Whether you're coming for breakfast or lunch it's the perfect spot to work remotely, catch up with friends over coffee or chill and read a book.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Also, the sandwiches are amazing and the staff is always helpful and friendly. Great spot!

ABSOLUTE YUMMMMMM. Went with a friend since this has been on our NEED TO TRY list for so long Brown butter sage caramel latte 9/10. The barista was so kind and recommended to get it hot so I did and it was gas. General tso chicken sando on scallion pancake. 9.5/10 like wowowowo no notes. Ts was so gas I ate that up. The scallion pancake was perfect and crispy. Flavor on point. Miso Mac and cheese to share: 9/10 this was also amazing. Chunks of like sausage? In it was a great touch. Iced Ube Vietnamese coffee was amazingggg. Maple pork bfast sandwich on a scallion pancake- chili oil was rly good and loved the pancake- the only thing was the sausage was kinda overpowering. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The setting was great for getting work done, doing meetings, or just a casual place to relax and hangout.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Will come again and not too far of a walk from the metro!

I came to Any Day Now to do interview prep for a big interview. I have not been called back for a second round yet, so take that however you'd like. [[HIGHLIGHT]]That said, if my focus slipped at all, it was only because this place is genuinely cute and very easy to settle into. It feels like the kind of coffee shop where you can stay for a while without feeling rushed or awkward about it.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The seating setup is ideal if you actually plan to be productive. There is a couch for lounging, tables if you want to spread out, and counter seating if you are more in and out.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It strikes that rare balance of feeling cozy without being cramped and energetic without being distracting.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] A great spot for thinking through answers, calming nerves, or just pretending you are the main character with a notebook and coffee. I went for breakfast and ordered an iced Vietnamese coffee with ube, which was excellent. It was sweet but not overly sweet, balanced, and honestly very drinkable. The ube added depth without turning it into dessert, which I appreciated since I was there to function, not spiral into a sugar crash. For food, I got their breakfast scallion pancake sandwich, vegetarian, no kimchi. I love kimchi, but only when it is grilled, and I did not want to risk it mid prep session. The sandwich was scallion pancake, steamed fluffy egg, and cheese, and it was delicious. Simple, comforting, and satisfying. It comes with a side of chili crisp, which added just the right amount of heat and texture. Interview outcome pending, but the coffee and breakfast absolutely delivered.

I had my first experience at this coffee shop and truly enjoyed my experience from the friendly staff and service. I ordered an ice vanilla latte & coffee cake muffin that was sooo yummy! [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have plenty of seating available whether at a table, bar, and sitting chairs.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]This place had great energy and was filled with people.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I can't wait to visit again.

Went with friends to work for the day. Cute shop with ample seating, strong WiFi, and plenty of outlets to plug in. My first time and I will def be back for remote working! Seating is open and you order at the counter. For lunch I ordered the chicken club sandwich and loved that they come on scallion pancakes, and the pancakes are cooked to perfection. My friend ordered the General Tso's sandwich and enjoyed it as well (check the empty plates)! They have breakfast sandwiches too if that's more your speed. I had an iced vanilla latte with oat milk to drink - bc we always need caffeine) which was also sweetened well, delicious, and needed no additives. The only complaint would be that we had to ask for water while sitting at the bar all day (10a - 5pm), and the music selection prior to 4pm, but the staff was friendly and knowledgeable when I asked for recommendations. They have a happy hour (not sure when it starts) and I had a glass of wine and my friend had an espresso martini that had too much espresso.

This is my go-to place for a Chai latte and pastry or breakfast with my laptop handy to respond to emails or write in my planner for upcoming work meetings. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This place is spacious and has a nice ambiance that makes it easy to enjoy the views.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] You can also enjoy happy hour if you would like to unwind from your day and have a glass of wine. The service is inviting, and the staff is friendly and welcoming to help.

Incredible place. I am a huge fan of combination cafe / bars but Any Day Now takes it a step further with a great breakfast / lunch / dinner menu (more than a typical cafe). Some really interesting options and fair prices. The staff are incredibly friendly and service is speedy. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a very inviting atmosphere that keeps me wanting to come back for prolonged hangouts.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Ube Viet iced coffee and matcha latte
    Lisa T.

The food here is good, but everything is oily. All their scallion pancake wraps have cheese in them. There's even cheese in the eggs, which is a bit strange. So this place doesn't have many options for vegans or people who are lactose intolerant. The service was fine. The person taking out order spoke very fast, which was a bit difficult to understand. The matcha latte was good. The ube Vietnamese coffee was also pretty good. The food and drinks here weren't extraordinary. The restaurant is clean and had lots of open space for people to work.

Any time I have been there, the wait times have been stress-free, and the queues move quickly. Food-wise, you can't go wrong with their avocado toast with smoked salmon. With a generous portion of smoked salmon on top of avocado mash, on perfectly toasted sourdough bread, creating a place of tremendous well-being. Drink-wise, I always go for cold brew and the cold brew never lets me down there. Last time, they had a peanut-butter cold brew and a black cherry one, both of which were magical. We hoped to find a place that offered decaf coffee since it was late in the day, but really wanted something warm since it was a bit chilly outside. Unfortunately, this location of Toastique does not offer decaf - they only have a single hopper for their coffee, so it is not an offering. We were going to find another place, however, they said how about a hot chocolate or a tea. My friend is vegan and inquired if their hot cocoa was vegan, as most places have dairy in the chocolate. The cashier went to look at the chocolate syrup and also had another person look at it to verify it's vegan. My friend ordered a hot chocolate with oat milk. Even though it was busy, we only waited about 5 minutes for her drink. We appreciated the effort to double check it was vegan, though I do wish they had decaf options.

This was one of the most unique shakshukas I'd ever had... It literally tasted like a curry dish you might get at your local Indian restaurant, with a bit of a brunch flair to it. The curry itself had a wee bit of spice and was a bit sweet - but that could have been from the sweet potatoes. The chicken was served in a bowl on the side, which felt a bit... odd... I would've expected it to be incorporated into the main dish. It was kind of bland and a bit lukewarm, so I don't know that I'd order that again... but I would definitely order this again!

We went for a late Thursday breakfast (~9:30) and were able to find some seating but they were at 90%+ capacity. We crammed our group of four into a spot normally meant for 2-3 people. Seating is at a premium as there are people using the restaurant as a place to work out of because they serve coffee. It's a bit of an odd dynamic since people need to sit to eat and sometimes tables are occupied by laptops instead of dining patrons. The food: Lamb Meatball Shakshuka - I had the regular Shakshuka the first time visiting, since I wanted to try the original. Stewed tomatoes with eggs served with toast. I think the lamb is a nice upgrade since the meat cuts the acidity of the tomato, and there is just a lot of tomato. Strawberry & Raspberry Cheesecake Cup - this delivers exactly what I would want for a cheesecake in a cup. Cheesecake is in the middle of for texture between fluffy and very dense cheesecake. Sesame Latte - an interesting drink fusion - coffee with black sesame. I think this is fairly well balanced with it tasting a little like black sesame and a little like coffee. Pistachio and Ham & Cheese Croissants - we asked these to be heated prior to eating. I thought they were slightly crusty on the outside, inside was soft without much structure (a little flat). They were ok and I liked the Pistachio one better. Overall, a solid, clean and modern place to get a beverage or meal. They offer some unique items to make things interesting.
