ABSOLUTE YUMMMMMM. Went with a friend since this has been on our NEED TO TRY list for so long Brown butter sage caramel latte 9/10. The barista was so kind and recommended to get it hot so I did and it was gas. General tso chicken sando on scallion pancake. 9.5/10 like wowowowo no notes. Ts was so gas I ate that up. The scallion pancake was perfect and crispy. Flavor on point. Miso Mac and cheese to share: 9/10 this was also amazing. Chunks of like sausage? In it was a great touch. Iced Ube Vietnamese coffee was amazingggg. Maple pork bfast sandwich on a scallion pancake- chili oil was rly good and loved the pancake- the only thing was the sausage was kinda overpowering. The setting was great for getting work done, doing meetings, or just a casual place to relax and hangout. Will come again and not too far of a walk from the metro!

Incredible place. I am a huge fan of combination cafe / bars but Any Day Now takes it a step further with a great breakfast / lunch / dinner menu (more than a typical cafe). Some really interesting options and fair prices. The staff are incredibly friendly and service is speedy. It's a very inviting atmosphere that keeps me wanting to come back for prolonged hangouts.

I came to Any Day Now to do interview prep for a big interview. I have not been called back for a second round yet, so take that however you'd like. That said, if my focus slipped at all, it was only because this place is genuinely cute and very easy to settle into. It feels like the kind of coffee shop where you can stay for a while without feeling rushed or awkward about it. The seating setup is ideal if you actually plan to be productive. There is a couch for lounging, tables if you want to spread out, and counter seating if you are more in and out. It strikes that rare balance of feeling cozy without being cramped and energetic without being distracting. A great spot for thinking through answers, calming nerves, or just pretending you are the main character with a notebook and coffee. I went for breakfast and ordered an iced Vietnamese coffee with ube, which was excellent. It was sweet but not overly sweet, balanced, and honestly very drinkable. The ube added depth without turning it into dessert, which I appreciated since I was there to function, not spiral into a sugar crash. For food, I got their breakfast scallion pancake sandwich, vegetarian, no kimchi. I love kimchi, but only when it is grilled, and I did not want to risk it mid prep session. The sandwich was scallion pancake, steamed fluffy egg, and cheese, and it was delicious. Simple, comforting, and satisfying. It comes with a side of chili crisp, which added just the right amount of heat and texture. Interview outcome pending, but the coffee and breakfast absolutely delivered.

This is my go-to place for a Chai latte and pastry or breakfast with my laptop handy to respond to emails or write in my planner for upcoming work meetings. This place is spacious and has a nice ambiance that makes it easy to enjoy the views. You can also enjoy happy hour if you would like to unwind from your day and have a glass of wine. The service is inviting, and the staff is friendly and welcoming to help.

I had my first experience at this coffee shop and truly enjoyed my experience from the friendly staff and service. I ordered an ice vanilla latte & coffee cake muffin that was sooo yummy! They have plenty of seating available whether at a table, bar, and sitting chairs. This place had great energy and was filled with people. I can't wait to visit again.

Went with friends to work for the day. Cute shop with ample seating, strong WiFi, and plenty of outlets to plug in. My first time and I will def be back for remote working! Seating is open and you order at the counter. For lunch I ordered the chicken club sandwich and loved that they come on scallion pancakes, and the pancakes are cooked to perfection. My friend ordered the General Tso's sandwich and enjoyed it as well (check the empty plates)! They have breakfast sandwiches too if that's more your speed. I had an iced vanilla latte with oat milk to drink - bc we always need caffeine) which was also sweetened well, delicious, and needed no additives. The only complaint would be that we had to ask for water while sitting at the bar all day (10a - 5pm), and the music selection prior to 4pm, but the staff was friendly and knowledgeable when I asked for recommendations. They have a happy hour (not sure when it starts) and I had a glass of wine and my friend had an espresso martini that had too much espresso.

I liked this place a lot! It was busy when we came in since there was a matcha pop up going on but I was excited to try the scallion pancake sandwiches since I felt like it was more unique concept at least in this area. I got the tofu one which was decent. It had kimchi, cheese, & a big piece of tofu in between a scallion pancake. I would have preferred if the scallion pancake had more scallion flavor. The tofu was ok but I think it would have been better if it was shredded or something for more texture. I would go again to try some other sandwiches or drinks though!

My new favorite WFH spot. Everything about this place is perfect. It's spacious with ample (and cozy) seating and plenty of outlets. During the day there are lots of other people working as well. The food is better than I expected. We got the vegetarian kimchi breakfast sandwich and bacon egg and cheese breakfast sandwich and they were both 10/10. The ube latte was also awesome. Super pleased and will definitely be back.

The food here is good, but everything is oily. All their scallion pancake wraps have cheese in them. There's even cheese in the eggs, which is a bit strange. So this place doesn't have many options for vegans or people who are lactose intolerant. The service was fine. The person taking out order spoke very fast, which was a bit difficult to understand. The matcha latte was good. The ube Vietnamese coffee was also pretty good. The food and drinks here weren't extraordinary. The restaurant is clean and had lots of open space for people to work.

~Food/Drinks~ Breakfast Scallion Pancake Sandwich: We ordered the Hickory Smoked Bacon and Maple Pork Sausage. Comes sliced into two pieces so it's easy to share with someone. The scallion pancakes were crunchy and thin and out of the two meats, I liked the sausage more because it had a meatier taste and it wasn't as salty. The chili oil was like Szechuan/mala flavor, not very numbing but it was good. One order of sandwiches is kind of small so we also ordered some hash browns to share. Hash Browns: Comes with two pieces and they were super crunchy! Matcha Latte: Solid matcha drink but it comes unsweetened. I believe there was a bottle of simple syrup by the utensils so you could add as much as you want. ~Service~ After you order at the counter, you'll get a buzzer. Seat yourself at any table that's available and when you're done, bus the tables yourself. They supply wipes and napkins by the tableware drop-off area and trash cans. ~Atmosphere~ Definitely a lounge space. There's bar stools and couches, giving the place a very casual vibe. There's a lot of indoor seats and I believe you can even sit in the apartment lobby that's connected to the restaurant. I saw a lot of people either chilling or working. ~Logistics~ Located on the corner of some busy streets, the restaurant doesn't seem to have its own dedicated parking lot. We actually walked to the restaurant from the Library of Congress. If you're a first-time customer, make sure to download the inkind app and order from there! When we visited, there was a deal for $10 off $30 minimum. ~Conclusion~ If you need a place to relax or caffeinate, Any Day Now is a perfect spot. I wouldn't necessarily go out of my way to visit again but it's worth trying at least once.

My wife and I came here twice during our mini dc trip it was so good. First day we shared the chicken club sando and the next morning we shared the hickory smoked bacon and the maple pork sausage scallion pancake sandwich. They were so tasty. I also got an americano with 1 pump of the brown butter sage flavor and it was probably one of the best coffees. They also let us bring in our dog which is always such a plus. The restaurant is also cool looking.

    DUMPLING TACOS
    Alexis Andrea N.

ADN is bringing the celebration of love for scallion pancakes the world has been waiting for. I got the scallion pancake burger, lemon ricotta and what! Ube cake but the champion of the meal for me that blew my mind was the dumpling taco. When I saw it on the menu I thought meh that sounds super weird. I think maybe it should be called open face dumplings-in case they're taking suggestions HA they were these thin discs, doughy on the bottom and meat on the top and perfection dipped in soy sauce. Explosions of flavor yet so delicate! Would love to go for a brunch and try their cocktails! My only critical point would be for the scallion pancakes to get some more grease and scallions/leek!

But, that's very preferential to my palate... the roast they serve from small planes is beautiful. The espresso beans are single origin and they serve a blend for their drip coffee. I feel like they should be a bakery that serves coffee on the side. Their mushroom toast is out of this world! Like the best thing I've had in a long time. Their sourdough and multigrain bread is the foundation and the most beautiful one at that. The sauce is magnificent. Their croissant is as close to magic as you can get... I just wish I had come in time to have it warm. Their avocado toast is served with fresh piles of beautiful avocado. But again, the multigrain bread is the star! Total came out to approximately $55. What's hot - Menu. Good variety and there appears to be something for everyone, even possibly vegans. There are sweet and savory options, eggs, french toast, salads, sandwiches, etc... - Quality. Excellent! All 3 of us really enjoyed the food that we ordered. Their french toast and omelettes are delicious. My husband particularly liked the maple syrup that was served with his french toast, because the maple flavor tasted a bit stronger than your average maple syrup. Their pastries are also delicious! Soft, good texture and not too sweet. Given the softness, my best guess is that their sweet treats are recently made. - Service. Pretty good. We did not wait very long for our orders to be ready. The hot foods, like the omelettes, french toast, and drinks, appear to be freshly made. - Price. Good value for money, given the quality and portions. - Location. Convenient location in D.C. However, given the location, be prepared for it to get busy quickly, which means decent lines and wait times. What's not - Interior space. Very tight squeeze inside. There are tables and chairs inside, but their biggest tables can only fit 4 people. If you have children with a stroller or whatever, be prepared to not have room inside. They have outside seating, but that's only conducive to when the weather is warm. This place appears to be popular, which means it can get packed very quickly and seating can be difficult to find. - Acoustics. They play relatively loud music inside, which makes it difficult to have conversations with those you're with. That the interior is small, the music travels easily, which does not help. - Omelette. Even though I liked the flavor of my omelette, it was rather thin. I prefer my omelette to be more weighty/fluffy in texture. Additionally, cheese is not automatically included with the omelette. I ordered mushrooms, red peppers, spinach, and bacon in my omelette. I mistakenly believed cheese was automatically included, but I was wrong. - Parking. Is not easy to find given the location. There is street parking, but it's very difficult to come by. Final Answer Would like to come back, but probably not a first choice given the tight squeeze of the interior. If I do return, would more likely than not order takeaway.
