I ordered the chopsmith salad and it was saturated in dressing and the steak was low quality/overcooked. They give you the option to order the dressing on the side or have it mixed, so that part is on me but the steak was just bad. I've been in the past and had a much different experience so it's disappointing that they're not consistent.

I got a chicken salad sandwich on multigrain bread. The bread was toasted. The chicken salad had grapes in it, so it was sweet and savory. It was a decent sandwich, I had to add some salt. Overall, I would try other items here. The service was very fast, I ordered online and my sandwich was ready as promised. It's a nice shop with ample seating, I would like to try other items, it seems like they have healthier options to choose from.

I came here around 9 AM on the Saturday of the cherry blossom peak bloom weekend. It was one of the few places open at that time. Ordering was done on a touchscreen kiosk. Remember your order number because you don't immediately get a receipt. The place got PACKED shortly after I ordered. There was only 1 staff member managing the order tickets and serving the orders, and they were clearly overwhelmed. The food tasted decent. Some was fairly priced such as the spicy chicken noodle for $5 but others such as the daily soup was a small portion for $8. I don't know if the crowd was an anomaly, but it would have been an otherwise relaxing atmosphere as the seats were pretty comfortable and the ambiance was pretty good.

Solid quick casual spot on the Wharf. Wanted something quick, easy, and healthy and Chopsmith was perfect. I was able to order online from my hotel, walk over, and pick up less than 10 minutes later. My food was fresh and tasty and the cashier was super friendly. Nice to have such an option on the Wharf!

I got the Chopsmith salad, and it was pretty solid. It comes with a good amount of steak, and is pretty filling overall. It could use a bit more dressing though, but that can be ordered on the side. I also got a lemon cookie, which was good.

If you're at the Wharf and need something quick and more healthy options, go to Chopsmith. They sell sandwiches, burgers, but also salads and bowls. Staying at a nearby hotel, it took them ten minutes to make our food on a Friday in November. Their burger was decent. My wife enjoyed their shrimp bowl.

It was a decent experience since there isn't my healthy goto like a sweetgreen around. Salad was good but I didn't feel that salad was composed well. It was still good but not as good as salad from chopt or sweetgreen.

Chopsmith was a great place to get a breakfast sandwich before we embarked on some more sightseeing in D.C. We went there on Labor Day before the rush started to come around. I enjoyed multiple servings of iced coffee while noshing on the Frenchy that comprised spicy aioli, an Any Style Egg, Applewood Smoked Bacon, and Avocado. The service behind the counter was fairly fast and I received both my iced coffee and the sandwich. We enjoyed our food in the dining area at a table that had high ceilings with dark brown wood paneling and white-painted walls. As a sidebar. the bathroom has a numeric lock pad, which you need to ask the associates behind the counter for the combination.

Perfect spot at the wharf for a quick bit for breakfast, lunch and dinner. You can even grab a few items at the market. There's something on the menu for everyone. The breakfast menu has sandwich's, bagels, bowls and omelettes. During my recent visit I had the spicy crab bun with avocado and it was great. Well portion and fresh ingredients. Breakfast goes until 1PM on the weekends which is great if you want brunch without all the bells and whistles. The lunch and dinner menu has burgers, sandwiches, salads, bowls and a few dishes with steak, chicken and salmon. The black bean burger is one of my favorites. They also have a market with an array of cheeses, meats and other to go items like chicken salad and roasted corn salad. Ordering is easing with the kiosk at the front. You can also order online. The inside has a more intimate vibe, similar to a coffee shop but a bit more spacious and not as busy. They have a good selection of drinks too including coffee, fresh pressed juices, beer and wine.

Order at a kiosk. Good food. Free water. Had good seating and great lighting. Good location near the Wharf.

I was staying in DC on a work trip by the Wharf and decided to go get a healthier food option. I got the grape limeade drink and crispy miso tofu plate. The portion they provide is very filling but the tofu wasn't very seasoned so I didn't eat much of that. I would've enjoyed the plate a lot more with a better tofu. Would recommend but trying a different plate or bowl option.

Went here for the first time today. Very clean you can see everything you want to order. The screens have pictures of the food so you can see what you are ordering. The food was fresh I wish it had seasoning though. It was a new experience. It's in a good location of corse so it's very convenient.

For appetizers, I ordered the butter glazed biscuits, and they were AMAZING. They came with a dipping sauce that reminded me of peach cobbler, but without being overwhelmingly sweet, which I loved. The brown butter on the side was the perfect touch. I also tried the honey Old Bay wings and wow... they were sweet, juicy, crispy, and had just the right hint of spice from the Old Bay seasoning. The honey drizzle on top took them to another level, and the creamy green dipping sauce paired perfectly with the wings in my opinion. I also had the maple Caesar salad. It honestly wasn't my favorite item compared to everything else, but it was still good and fresh. I'm glad I gave it a try and got my vegetables in lol. I probably just wouldn't order it again next time because the other dishes stood out more to me. For my entrée, I ordered the MH Signature Ribeye Steak with baby potatoes, and it was seasoned to perfection. I personally like my steak well done, and they cooked it exactly how I wanted it. The sauce served with the potatoes was also so flavorful and complemented the meal perfectly. The service was top tier from start to finish. Everyone was attentive, welcoming, and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. Overall, I would absolutely give this place a 10/10 and will definitely be returning to try more items on the menu.

We split the DL's Egg Drop (the bulgogi breakfast sandwich) and the Hatch Green Chili sandwich. Both were well executed. The bulgogi brought some real depth to what could have easily been a gimmick, and the hatch green chili edged it out for me personally. The heat was there without being obnoxious, and everything held together the way a good sandwich should. Friends went with the shrimp and grits and had nothing but good things to say. The team behind this place (Scott Drewno and Danny Lee, also of Anju and ChiKo) knows what they're doing, and it shows. I ordered the shrimp and grits. My friend ordered the breakfast plate. Each came out to the table and I was honestly disappointed. I didn't know what to expect with the flavors. And the number one thing that ruined, the shrimp and grits for me was the amount of Parmesan it overloaded the plate that the smell was disturbing and made the texture of grits not to my liking. There were also only three shrimps in the entire dish just very underwhelming. Also, I was not happy with the freshly squeeze orange juice. It's not good at all. In my opinion overall, I will rate them at five out of 10.

That restaurant moved to Penn Quarter a year ago and it's been about 4 years since I last went. I didn't even think I was in a new restaurant until I couldn't find the gold rabbit logo. The interior of the two restaurants is similar enough and having rolls with salmon roe topping your honey miso butter is not far off from what you might have found eating a fried chicken dish with a subtle Vietnamese twist at Moon Rabbit. The concept of WillowSong is nothing new: farm-to-table. But the flavors are beyond what we could of expected! The waiter explained how the chefs source their food from farms within a certain geographical radius. I definitely recommend a visit here for a special dinner that will leave you wanting to come back. The house made milk bread was served piping hot. The aroma - as I picked one roll up - was so indicative of bread you knew you were going to enjoy. The honey miso butter was not typical, and I loved it. It had a citrusy aftertaste and was not too sweet. I didn't eat the salmon roe - mentioned earlier topping the honey miso butter - but it was an interesting juxtaposition. The Squid Ink Oricchiette - black elbow pasta - was lovely. I asked the waiter, "Which is more popular here, the sea bass or the oricchiette?" He confidently said that if he had to choose, it would be the oricchiette and the Yelp reviews say the same. There was an inherent subtle heat and the jumbo lump crab meat was tasty. The squid ink pasta was cooked perfectly al dente and the tomato jus herb crumble was well-seasoned. The micro greens garnish added such a nice, crisp crunch. The citrus olive oil ricotta - underneath of the pasta - had a good balancing effect. The grilled maple citrus pork chop - when featured - is a not-to-miss! The flavors were divine. You got the sweetness of the maple sauce and a really nice sear with the char-grilled aftertaste. Just the kind of flavor I look for. Cutting into the pork chop was easy as it was so tender. All of the herb and vegetable flavors in the charred gratin (Swiss chard simmered in a creamy garlic sauce) really came together for something delightful. The Swiss chard was cooked well, yet had a good crunch with a definite farm-to-table flavor, straight from the garden. We were here on a weekend night. A rowdier after-9pm crowd formed for a televised game. I've seen it much busier here on weeknights at Moon Rabbit, before 9pm, and the waiter said the crowds here are similar. I liked that it was more bustling on the boardwalk and calmer inside of this restaurant, before the sporting event crowd around the bar. There are so many restaurants to choose from at the Wharf, and many of them are packed and touristy. When you step inside of WillowSong, there is no crowding and the environment is calm. I would next like to try the Hamache Tartar. It is made with chili oil, preserved lemon, scallion, cashew, Eva's Garden mouse melon, serrano and cilantro. The staff said the breakfasts at WillowSong are very popular and are from 9am to 1pm. Cornmeal pancakes? Hello. Look at the Yelp photos to see the breakfast offering deliciousness at WillowSong. If the birthday dessert that we enjoyed was any indication, I would have to believe him. It was a chocolate brownie-like pastry with granola and graham crust, flowers and fruit. The dark chocolate ganache was decadent. This was a hazelnut dessert which I would have never ordered because I find the flavor overpowering. They kindly surprised us by bringing out a dessert they chose, with a lit candle and singing. I was so glad that the hazelnut flavor was subtle and that it did not taste like a Nutella dessert. The birthday dessert was subtlety-flavored with hazelnut but chocolatey and rich, otherwise. I think there was oatmeal or granola in it. This was a decadent experience. Love that the restaurant has margaritas and sangrias on draught. In the sangria you can find: mango purée, white wine, apple brandy and soda water. Would love to try, next time. As much as I love the Vietnamese fusion fare at Moon Rabbit, I was equally as delighted with the more global dining experience at WillowSong. And the lovely, warm service.
