Talk about bad food. This place use to be good several years ago but those days are long gone. A completely different look on the inside. Gone are the blue walls and no more of the carry out feel. I remember this place had some of best bacon but you can tell the quality of food has gone out the window. I walked in and was greeted by a guy taking orders. His customer service skills were good. That was the only reason for the 2 stars. I ordered the wings and waffle, Belgian waffle and breakfast platter along with 2 drinks for $42 bucks. Not too bad. We sat at a table and the food came. Once again, the guy at the counter was great. He made sure to bring over our waffles while they were hot. That was the only part of the food that was good/decent, hence the second star. The rest is poor quality and belongs in the trash. The eggs were not real and god awful. The 8 wingettes came straight out of a freezer bag/ air fryer. TRASH. The bacon was fresh out of the microwave. I'll never ever come back. The food is that bad. If there was anyone standing outside needing food I would have happily given it to them. The ambiance was more of a mom and pop shop. My family and I wanted a nice breakfast and didn't want the fake iHop feel. We ran across this place on Apple Maps. The parking lot was packed! We walked in and shared a table with another family that was waiting. You have to order your food at the counter and wait. We decided to eat in. We ordered an omelet with hash browns, cheesy grits, 3 ordered of pancakes, 2 eggs with 4 orders of bacon. I was pleasantly surprised. Everyone enjoyed their food from the pregnant mom to the picky toddler. My husband said the omelette was nice and fluffy and filled well. With drinks, this ran us about $68. It's been a while since I've last been to the Pancake House. I decided to come here off the random to introduce my friend to a place that I thought was pretty good since there is no Waffle House around. It seems that there's been a lot of changes that have happened for the worst. I used to go here before the COVID pandemic happened. From what I saw, it has been massively downgraded to just a pickup and carry out place. They let people "dine in" as well, but we had to eat out of the clear plastic to go containers instead of actual dining silverware cups and plates. I think it is safe to assume that these changes happened due to the COVID pandemic (they may have been impacted pretty harshly) because it certainly was more lively and more of a sit-down dining restaurant before I came in today. I see that they did change the name of this specific location to "family breakfast and take out" but even if it was a family breakfast, how will people sit down and eat if everyone's eating out of plastic containers instead of real plates, etc? Nothing feels familial about that. I do fault myself for not reading the reviews before coming here. I was very disappointed to see these types of changes, and I honestly don't understand the point of letting people dine in with the restaurant when there's no silverware or plates + cups or even glassware. You will see pictured our food in the plastic to-go containers. Unfortunately, I don't think I will return again due to the changes that happened. I believe if I dined in a restaurant, I would like to have the typical silverware and ceramic plates and mugs instead of eating out of strictly plastic to-go containers. Most of the tables were dirty, too. While affordable, the food was pretty okay but nothing to write home to. Some items certainly needed salt & pepper. I do hope things improve for the better for them or at least get back to normal, but until then, I don't think I will return. Growing up, I would come to the pancake house also every weekend with my dad for breakfast. The experience was a true part of my childhood and when I hear they were still open after a brief closing during the beginning of the pandemic, I was excited to go back. While things have definitely change, one things thing - good food and great service. So for that, I feel that they still deserve their stars. The facilities have changed greatly, as it's clear that business has probably slowed down post-pandemic. I originally came with the idea to dine in, but giving the limited seating, I decided to take my food to go since I was so close. The tables also could have been a bit cleaner, so that was a factor as well. The staff were super-friendly and my food came within 5-10 mins of ordering. Everything was still pretty warm or hot when I got back to my room, with the exception of the eggs but we know how that goes. Everything was delicious and fresh, which is always won for me. This place is the real deal for breakfast. It's always bustling, but I don't usually have a problem getting a table. There are no frills, just solid breakfast fare. You come in, seat yourself and someone will come around to give you a menu and take your drink order. I almost always order coffee. It's decent and they give you flavored creamer (#winning). My typical order consists of scrambled eggs, sausage links and pancakes. I love that they only use shelled eggs. And they are willing to make adjustments for smaller appetites by making my pancakes smaller than the usual plate size. I can never eat that much. The pancakes are nicely browned but not burnt and there is plenty of butter and syrup. This "square deal" costs me $8 with unlimited coffee refills. The staff is professional and courteous, but they can be alittle inattentive when it's busy. However, I find myself frequenting this place often. read more

I think there were drug deals and meet ups in the parking lot. Every vehicle was backed in, and people kept staring at us, like we were being sized up. It was very uncomfortable. Don't let the exterior, especially the entrance, scare you away. This place leaves a lot to be desired in terms of curb appeal, but the food is SOLID. Delicious, fresh, perfectly seasoned. Quiet and clean interior, since most folks do take out (you order from the counter, and get plastic containers, etc.). Locals seem to know about this place as it got busy as the Sunday morning crowds filled in.
