The ambiance is not good at all. Pancakes made from Aunt Jemina (I forget new name). They were ok but not the worst I've had.I ordered mine with banana which added flavor but didn't get enough. My bacon was crispy but not hot off the grill. It was ok They serve Dole Orange Juice which was absolutely terrible. Definitely worth passing on. The food is served in take out containers even when dining in. Ummmmm.

It's been a while since I've last been to the Pancake House. I decided to come here off the random to introduce my friend to a place that I thought was pretty good since there is no Waffle House around. It seems that there's been a lot of changes that have happened for the worst. I used to go here before the COVID pandemic happened. From what I saw, it has been massively downgraded to just a pickup and carry out place. They let people "dine in" as well, but we had to eat out of the clear plastic to go containers instead of actual dining silverware cups and plates. I think it is safe to assume that these changes happened due to the COVID pandemic (they may have been impacted pretty harshly) because it certainly was more lively and more of a sit-down dining restaurant before I came in today. I see that they did change the name of this specific location to "family breakfast and take out" but even if it was a family breakfast, how will people sit down and eat if everyone's eating out of plastic containers instead of real plates, etc? Nothing feels familial about that. I do fault myself for not reading the reviews before coming here. I was very disappointed to see these types of changes, and I honestly don't understand the point of letting people dine in with the restaurant when there's no silverware or plates + cups or even glassware. You will see pictured our food in the plastic to-go containers. Unfortunately, I don't think I will return again due to the changes that happened. I believe if I dined in a restaurant, I would like to have the typical silverware and ceramic plates and mugs instead of eating out of strictly plastic to-go containers. Most of the tables were dirty, too. While affordable, the food was pretty okay but nothing to write home to. Some items certainly needed salt & pepper. I do hope things improve for the better for them or at least get back to normal, but until then, I don't think I will return. I may just go to another location to actually does give people real silverware and ceramic plates, glass cups, etc., to eat out of when they dine in.

I ordered a traditional breakfast. Bacon, eggs and grits. Very satisfied with the 6 slices of bacon. Everything was a la cart. The service was pretty good. Our food came out pretty fast. The atmosphere was cool. It was clean.

Growing up, I would come to the pancake house also every weekend with my dad for breakfast. The experience was a true part of my childhood and when I hear they were still open after a brief closing during the beginning of the pandemic, I was excited to go back. While things have definitely change, one things thing - good food and great service. So for that, I feel that they still deserve their stars. The facilities have changed greatly, as it's clear that business has probably slowed down post-pandemic. I originally came with the idea to dine in, but giving the limited seating, I decided to take my food to go since I was so close. The tables also could have been a bit cleaner, so that was a factor as well. The staff were super-friendly and my food came within 5-10 mins of ordering. Everything was still pretty warm or hot when I got back to my room, with the exception of the eggs but we know how that goes. Everything was delicious and fresh, which is always won for me. Overall, while its not the place I knew as a kid, it's still a great spot for a quick breakfast!

Fast, friendly service, delicious food- don't let the slightly bare-bones ambiance fool you, this is a great place to stop for breakfast! The waffles smelled amazing, and the omelets we ordered were out quickly and were delicious. The coffee is really good too! A quick, delicious breakfast for 2 at right about $30

Im on a mission to find the best French toast. I like that their French toast wasn't too "eggy." They provided the powdered sugar on the side. I love powdered sugar and some people can be stingy with it. Haha. I like that they basically gave you the option to choose the amount of sugar you'd like on your French toast. The chicken wings were fried to perfection. I went for the French toast but the wings honestly stole the show. My cousin in Louisiana loves chicken wings fried hard. I immediately thought of her. I sent her a picture and said I know where I'm taking you when you visit. I definitely plan on going again I'm thinking I'll try the pancakes next time and make sure to include the chicken.

As soon as my wife discovered the existence of this breakfast/brunch/lunch diner in our neck of the woods, on Annapolis Road in Lanham, Maryland, we set out like Fred, Daphne, Velma, Shaggy, and Scooby Doo seeking a local haunt to celebrate their solving of the very latest faux supernatural crime. And similar to the aptly named Barnacle's Beanerie, Cap'n Fatty's Rib Ranch, Voltaire's Pizza in a Cup, and Leprecarbs, the Pancake House's menu conjures calorie-filled breakfast delights that Shaggy and Scooby Doo would scream for. Today alone, we tried the Western Omelette, banana pancakes, chocolate chip pancakes, and a number 10 omelette with bacon, sausage, onions, green peppers, and cheese. The only thing missing from our first experience was our own German Shepherd/Rottweiler mix dancing with a rubber Neanderthal costume afterwards!

Doesn't look like much when you walk past, but I was practically dying of hunger so I popped in. Everything is sold ala carte which makes things interesting. Wish I received more food but everything was okay. - cheese grits are literally served with slice of cheese which was slightly disappointing

The one star is for the effort. I compare this to the old man that has lost most of his hair and wears a combover. He really needs to LET IT GO! But refuses to concede! For those of us from the area, we remember a Pancake House that was the spot to go on the weekend for a decent breakfast you didn't have to cook. Today, the PH is a dump that has a leaking roof which causes 1/4 of the seats to be unavailable. While here, buckets were on the floor to catch the water, picture fell from the wall and the most important thing...THE FOOD WAS SUBPAR at best. PH - do us all a big favor and close down for renovations and remodeling.

This place has been on my list for some time because it comes up as one of the more popular breakfast spots in the area. Bad choice. There wasn't one thing I ordered that was good. Money wasted. I would not suggest.

We all found traditional diner breakfasts as well as many dishes with a Latin taste and ingredients. I had their big egg sandwich with ham and bacon on a bagel. The sandwich's taste excelled despite the plain Jane bagel. Otherwise one family member had the eggs Benedict with ham rated very good. The hollandaise was just right. All eggs were cooked as ordered, bacon crispy but not too well done. Sweet ice tea was great! Everything was fresh, tasty and satisfying! The service was also attentive and friendly. Luckily I'm very familiar with the area and know that the entrance is beside the Exxon, up and winding driveway and sits on top of the hill. There's a small Wyndham hotel next to it, so if you look up and see the Wyndham signage, you're in the right spot! I've never dined at this spot and it's been here for YEARS! I believe it started off as a Howard Johnson's many moons ago, but don't quote me on that..LOL. The restaurant itself is really nothing to look at. It's seems more like a diner than a restaurant but it's surprisingly large, just a little outdated. I sat at the rather small bar since I was there for HH. The bartender was extremely pleasant and attentive. I ordered the wings and bacon wrapped dates that were on the HH menu and I also ordered the calamari which was on the regular menu. I must say, the calamari and bacon wrapped dates tastes as good as any I've ever had! The wings were very good as well. The HH priced margarita was extremely good and $4 off the regular price! I will definitely be back when I want to grab something good and lowkey. Oh yeah, there's a Mexican food vibe which surprised me. I was served complimentary chips and salsa, and the menu had several Mexican cuisine offerings. Because of this, they may want to consider a name change.. Lol!

I spent every summer in this town, growing up, and I never discovered this restaurant until a precious friend brought me here a few years ago. It's a dated, though efficient, and charming, cafe with fresh dishes you might love. Firstly, if you plan on having lunch here on a Monday, make sure you are able to finish by 2:45 since they close by 3pm. All other days, they are open past 8pm. We started with the sweet potato soup despite the fact that the reviews for the lentil soup here are the highest. Yes! If it's featured: get it! The turmeric and coconut milk make this soup delightful. The herbs made it so fresh and there was just the right amount of sweetness and gentle heat. Parsley really adds to this recipe and I'm not usually a fan of this herb. The pitas are soft, thin and light. Love them. We needed to order more. I've never had such paper-thin pitas. Yum! I love love love the hummus, here. It is nothing short of divine. The flavors are fabulous and deeply complex. You can really taste the tahini. The olive oil is mild and delicious. I exclaimed, "the hummus was the best ever." And then 5 minutes later, I read a review by Yelper James H. where he says it's the best ever and, "... this hummus at Cedars of Lebanon might have ruined all other hummus for me forever." While I've had similar swooning feelings over the hummus at Lebanese Taverna in Tyson's Corner, this hummus is at least a top contender if not the metro DC area's hummus winner. The cucumber mint yogurt salad is nice, cold and refreshing. You can really taste the mint. I would order this yogurt salad with every meal. The falafel pizza is unusual and fresh. Straight away-- you can taste the tahini, parsley and couscous. The dough is grainy and natural. And there are radishes on this falafel pizza: not overpowering. For the $9 or so pricepoint, this dish is a true labor of love. To prep all of these vegetables, even with food processors, must take time. How novel of a dish! Put the yogurt salad on this pizza. You will thank me. And I only did it because I was watching someone else slather it on. There were at least 12 desserts on the menu. Meow. If we weren't so full of pita, hummus, tahini and fresh veggies, we certainly would love to taste a few of these. As well as the Turkish coffee, with an authentic ceramic and metal carafé presentation.

The restaurant has a small outdoor dining area with three four-seater tables, which was find for our two dogs. The experience overall was pretty low key, which necessarily is not a bad thing. Although there is waiter/waitress service, you will have to order your food at the cashier's counter. Actually, maybe that's only a thing if you are dining outside. The menu has a nice mix of Middle Eastern dishes. I went with a beef (or maybe it was lamb) kabob plate. The portions were fine and my meal was pretty good. It was not out of this world amazing, but it got the job done. I thought that the prices were pretty good for the area and the amount of food received. Although the food was fine, I do not think that I would go out of my way (e.g., driving more than 30 minutes) to dine here. Just be aware that the restaurant does not serve alcoholic beverages.

I ordered the combo over rice ($13), the Philly cheesesteak combo with French fries and lemonade ($15.49), five wings with one waffle ($13.49), and a carrot cake slice ($4). - The fried chicken wings were alright for your typical fast food chicken. - Waffle was decent: it was soft & fluffy. - The combo over rice was solid, and I liked the chicken the most. - Philly cheesesteak was okay and would've been even better if it had provolone instead of the cheese whiz. - French fries were solid: they were crispy with some seasoning on them. - The house-made lemonade was alright, and I would be open to getting it again. - The carrot cake isn't anything crazy, it's alright, but I do appreciate the $4 price tag cause others would charge double or more for a slice. Overall, the spot does a good job with fair pricing, fast comfort food, and reliable hours. I'd come back and recommend.
