The Marlboro Grille has been on my list to try for years - glad I finally had a chance to try it out last week. I stopped by on a Friday around 1p for lunch, they were only serving carry out orders so I was ushered to the main counter to place an order. (I'm not sure if it's typical for them to not offer dine-in service during lunch hours) I ordered the fish sandwich and fries from the list of lunch specials that was written on the entry way chalkboard. $13 for a lunch sandwich is a solid deal! The food was ready very quickly and was very tasty! The fish had a nice, simple flavor and was great as a part of the sandwich which I topped with onions, tomato, and ketchup. The side of fries was deliciously crispy - gotta love that. The hostess who took my order was very pleasant - definitely made me feel welcomed. I can see why some say this place has a neighborhood diner feel. I look forward to coming back - I've heard they have great breakfast options! read more

Y'all! Let me apologize in advance, I didn't get a chance to take a picture of my food because I dug right in! But baby the after pics say it all! I ordered the chicken and spinach omelette with grits and white toast. The omelette seasoned very nicely (not overly seasoned) and the toast was a nice addition. The grits left something to be desired but a little butter salt and pepper and they were fine. My mom ordered the veggie omelette with home fries and wheat toast. Again omelette DEMOLISHED and the home fries again left something to be desired but edible. All in all this is a must visit for a nice casual breakfast. If you have any court matters to attend to , stop in for a bite. That being said it's near the courthouse so parking is a lil funky but not terrible. A no frills diner with good food. Parking can be a little tricky so I suggest that you call ahead.

Came by for lunch for the first time after being in the area. Ordered the turkey burger, which came with fries and was decent. I was able to sit anywhere and my food came quickly after the order was placed. The service was ok. However, the tables could have been wiped down more thoroughly. There was salt covering my entire table from a leaky shaker. I also had a sweet tea, which was good. The prices seemed a little high for the quality. read more

Food was PHENOMENAL! I ordered the turkey club with provolone cheese & the fruit burst smoothie. I love me a good club sandwich & this was beyond my expectations. The sandwich was stuffed with turkey meat. The bread was toasted to perfection & the lettuce + tomato's were fresh. The lady who took my order was very polite & very attentive to the customers on the phone as well in the restaurant. I went there for lunch since I now report to a building right around the corner I ordered a chicken salad sandwich and I order up onion rings and my total was $27 and some change. To pay almost $30 for a sandwich and onion rings is a little steep for what you got. The building is definitely dated and smelled musty. I would not return. read more

This is a go to spot if you live in upper Marlboro. It's not a huge place nor does it have the best decorum but it's just right. My family and I dine here quite frequently. The food is pretty good. We love the pancakes and omelettes for breakfast. The shrimp and chicken teriyaki are quite filling a delicious. I try to make it a point to have lunch here whenever I am working in the office. This nice diner is in walking distance to my job. The first time I had a Italian club. It was good. I wish the sub was a little thicker, because after all of the sauce, and fixings the bread was a little soggy. It was filling and tasty. I'll just get a different type of bread with that next time. The second time I went, I ordered a turkey club sandwich on white bread. I ordered a side of fries. The turkey club sandwich was better than the Italian club to me. It was good. Menu is a solid hometown grill type. The salmon (although cooked a little hard) and veggie platter is decent with a large helping of vegetables cooked just right. So breakfast food really isn't hard to make. But some places just don't have fresh enough ingredients. This is not that place. ALL ingredients from the eggs (which I'm very particular) to the toast and meat were ultra fresh. Great customer service! Our waitress was a doll. It reminded you of a old diner but it was quite comfy and had a homey feel. I enjoyed my international omelette and meat lover was extra packed with meat! Pancake had crispy edges and everything Italian sausage was offered as a side and didn't disappoint. Total was under 40 dollars and well worth it read more

I have eaten here before. For the first time in 2016, I was not too fond of the food, but then recently, in 2023, I had some scrapple egg and cheese, which was delicious. So I decided to go with the family on an off day and tried something different, and I should have stuck with what I usually get. But my pancakes were terrific. A very busy place with carry out and eat in customers. The only drawback was parking and the ridiculous meter parking cost on a Saturday. Not helping small business present or future partners in bringing in more customers. Upper Marlboro, as the historic town seat of Prince George's county, needs some serious attention for a better future. read more

This was our second time here and breakfast was great! We haven't tried anything else yet but service was just as great as the first time and we didn't have to wait long for seating. The French Toast was great and it was stacked up. The Belgian waffle was so good! I've had some that are "meh" and this one was gooooood. They had it cut up and not in a full waffle and I was happy with that. It was still warm, which I love! The home fries were very good! They have onions in them and you can definitely tell they are home made. It's probably one of my favorite home fries in the area! The food came out QUICK! I'm pretty sure it came out in 10 minutes. Breakfast is one of my favorite meals of the day and a good breakfast can energize your day. However, not the case at this place. One of the worst breakfast meals I have had in a long time! There was no wait time however it was pretty cramped in here. The coffee was weak and they had no lemons at all for my water or my daughter's hot tea. I ordered French Toast and grits, my daughter ordered corn beef gravy over biscuit and my granddaughter had pancakes. When a little child doesn't like your pancakes, you really must be a bad chef. The French Toast tasted like eggs, my grits tasted burned and my granddaughter's pancakes were dry with no flavor. My daughter couldn't even eat her meal because she said it was tasteless. I truly felt like I went into a restaurant and just gave them $34 for nothing. The only reason we decided to try this place was because it was the closest to the house I was visiting and my daughter had to go to work so we needed someplace quick to eat. Never again. When the word "Grille" is in your name and a customer orders "Grilled Salmon Salad" - seems like you should actually GRILL the salmon! Instead is was an ok piece of salmon FRIED in god knows what kind of old oil. You have to work pretty hard to make salmon greasy. Hint to restaurant, when someone orders a salad with salmon, they're probably kind of health conscious. Don't serve them greasy fried salmon. That's not to mention it was a pile of bland iceberg lettuce with literally 5 spinach leaves on top, some tasteless tomatoes, cucumbers, tiny shredded carrots and itty bitty bits of cheese. And, if that's not enough, they had the nerve to charge me $19 for it. Yuck, yuck, yuck. read more

I love this place! This was my first time here, and when we came in we were greater with a welcome and smiles. They have reasonable prices and the food is soooo good. I will be back more often now that I just moved to Maryland. The waiter( griselda) had great customer service and she was kind and she always checked on us to see if everything is ok.
