I've tried NOT to do a review for this location but it's TOO MANY issues. For one I've come here and used my app. They claimed they didn't get it before. I get to the window, the cashier asked to see my phone. I later realized that she used 6000 of my points. I let that slide. It's ALWAYS people begging while pulling up I the drive through or once you're picking your food up at the window. Today, I specifically asked for 3 chicken nugget happy meals with extra fries in one and apple slices in the other, along with 3 #1 (Big Mac Meals). I had to ask for straws but once we arrived at our destination there was NO extra fries, they just put apple slices in ALL 3 happy meals and on top of that the apple slices were OLD. It seems they just given rotten apples and fruit to the kids. What made this worse and why I finally did a review was, they put tartar sauce on ALL of the big macs instead of big mac sauce. I'm too far and too annoyed to turn around. I just put some sweet and sour sauce on the big Mac to offset the taste. I've tried to give this location the benefit of the doubt but it seems they are becoming more careless. I would not recommend this location unless you're starving. Otherwise drive out of the city to another location. This poor service, poor food and lack of attention to details is NOT worth it. I know Ronald McDonald is turning over in his grave. read more

The New York Avenue store is Right by my house. And always hits the spot. I even get the pleasure of buying neighbors that hang out there a meal too. Customer service is always a 10 and you can get through the line pretty fast. My go to Mickey D's. I do recommend. read more

Located at a busy intersection, there's a constant flow of people at this McDonald's. I went during the pandemic and waited in line on a holiday evening in the drive through. Other than that, it's a consistent McDonald's experience with greasy food, an electronic menu that you can never understand when it speaks and a cheap bill. read more

I usually don't review mega chains like McDonald's. If you've been to one, you've been to them all with only slight deviation. But I think I have found one of the suckiest McDonald's of all time, so I felt inspired to share the experience. Last night, we hit up the drive thru here after we literally missed Ben's Chili Bowl closing on us by approximately 15 seconds. My friend and I did not feel like heading to another diner and having a whole production of a meal, so she suggested that we could just pick something up at McDonald's on the way home. We pull up to the drive thru and of course they are only offering the limited late night meal. Fail. Out of the eight or so offerings, they were only actually serving five of them. So we order some chicken nuggets and a quarter pounder meal. Fail. They forget that they ran out of chicken nuggets, but offered chicken selects instead. We didn't even know what those were, but if that was the only runner up to burgers, it would have to suffice. Fail. Fail. Fail. Everything that was placed in that bag of mess, was cold. Everything tasted like straight up cardboard. Everything was on the verge of tasting somewhere between stale and freezer burnt. Even with low expectations, this McDonald's still seemed to find a way to disappoint. We were so close to turning back around in the car to demand some warm food, but it was so late at night, we figured bed was a better destination. Guess that fixed my fix. read more

We asked for 3 large water cups and they charged $5. We were told that we could get 3 small cups for free or 3 large for 1.50 each so we asked for the small cups instead. When we pulled up to the window the staff told us that no water was free. We tried to ask for the free water cups. Very rude customer service! One of the Cashiers asked in a very nasty manner to leave the dining area when another employee said it was okay. Granted I had no problem leaving but its the way you talk to people. Won't ever come back to this location. Tried taking my Mentee out because she loves McDonald's. I personally don't eat here because the food is trash to begin with. But if you're asking someone to get up, you can tone your voice down and ask nicely. I love coming to this McDonald's before work in the morning. Their staff is super friendly and the food always tastes like it's straight out the oven. The service is always really fast. I've never had to be there for over 5 minutes. Their double lane drive thru is really convenient for these cold days when no one wants to get out of their cars. Highly recommend coming to this location. read more

I ordered 3 quarter pounders and bit into one only to realize it was completely rare in the middle. Now I usually do medium rare at restaurants but at McDonald?!?! Hell no. Rude nighttime service and slow add in food that's not fresh = One star.

I walked in for breakfast at my 2 years old request and saw two young girls waiting on the side for their order. After they received their order they appeared to have been missing an ingredient in their meal and right away got snappy with the cashier, though the cashier went back and forth with them and she shouldn't have the girls were nasty from the start. The manager right away shut that behavior down and handled himself surprisingly well. I've seen similar incidents go completely wrong. Kudos to him! read more

After the Nor'Easter of D.C., the next day, I went to this McDonald's primarily to use their Wi-Fi connection. The manager at the time, didn't have an issue with that, nor did he stop me from sitting in the corner. I bought breakfast and lunch and stayed for about 5 hours, and there was very little traffic in the store. No problems The next day, however, I returned and went to the back to work on my laptop and another manager walked up to me with a smug smile on his face and threatened to call the police on me if I did not leave immediately because I had overstayed, according to him. He also erroneously lumped me together with about three homeless men that were there at the time. When he demanded they leave, they did so immediately as they had made no purchases and were just loitering. I then told him that I had been here the day previously and the manager had said nothing to me and in fact, not a word was said to me the entire time. So when he told me I had to leave, I refused and told him so. He then said he was calling the police. Keep in mind as this was happening, there were two women in a table in front of me and a man to my side. All three of them had been there longer than the 30 minutes he said any patrons were allowed to stay there, yet he said nothing to them, which I also pointed out to him. An hour later, the police arrived & told me I had to leave even though I'd bought items from their menu & even though other people sitting there while I was there had been there longer than 30 minutes as well. To me, it was clearly racist, as he ONLY went up to the black customers in the restaurant at the time. The manager on duty at the time was Jesus and I got the owner's name from him as well, Michelle. With racist actions like that, I will never return. If you are at this McDonald's, keep your receipts and get the name of the owner, because from what one customer that frequented told me while I was there, they always push out black people from the establishment because they have a problem with homeless people loitering there. But newsflash? Not everyone black is homeless. Never this McDonald's EVER again and IF I could leave a ZERO rating, I would. read more
