Cheesesteak with fries - A partially eaten cheesesteak sandwich with ground beef, lettuce, and bread, wrapped in foil, with a side of fries topped with ketchup in a plastic container.

I've gotten the chicken curry and cheesesteak. I requested the chicken curry extra spicy and it had a little spice to it. So far the portion size per meal have been better than I expected from a takeout spot. The cheesesteak was really good and I think it's better than most cheesesteaks in the area.

    Mambo Sauce
    Lili N.

Visiting DC with my husband and I asked him to look up food he wanted to try. His default method to search is YouTube and came across Mambo Sauce. This is my second time here in DC and I never heard anything about mambo sauce, so I became curious. Lol. When he showed me, it honestly looked like duck sauce and I pretty much kinda discouraged him from wanting to try it.. ooops. Haha. BUT when we arrived to DC, he still didn't know what he wanted to try. So I said "efff it. Let's get Chinese takeout and try mambo sauce" luckily, this spot was a few minutes away from our AirBnB. There were free street parking in front of the store, which was great! When you walk in, this place was actually very spacious. No tables, but they should consider placing tables inside. They had a menu to the left and a menu behind the counter/bullet proof glass. They have tons of options, but was only interested in the wings with mambo sauce. We ordered 5 wings with fried rice and asked for the sauce to be on the side. I tasted the wings and fried rice by itself. The wings were seasoned well! Honestly didn't need the sauce and the fried rice was pretty good. But when we ate our wings with the mambo sauce, we were surprised!!!! It was actually delicious! Didn't taste like duck sauce as I thought. There was a kick of sweet and salty, with a bit of vinegar. Maybe a bit of spicy? Idk. It's hard to describe! We enjoyed it so much, we came here again before we left! Definitely worth the try!

    Sesame Chicken with steamed rice
    Jorge P.

I had 2 meals on consecutive days. First meal (see pic) I had the sesame chicken with broccoli and comes with steamed rice had the large. It was a lot of food for the price, the chicken was very delicious and the broccoli was scarce but well cooked. The sesame was there but not oozing flavor the sweet sauce was really good I used it with the rice. That meal was 4 stars. The 2nd day I ordered the Szechuan beef in large again with steamed rice. Well the rice was the price this day as the actual main meal was just veggies under cooked with what looked like pre-chewed pieces of meat that were more string shaped that actual cuts of meat. If I had to guess I had 1.5 lbs of veggies and a 1/4 pound of meat or less. It was disappointing like No Stars. They get 3 stars because of the first meal and the prices are awesome and the lady is very polite or else 2 stars.

The food here is delicious! This Carryout accommodates people with dietary and health needs. I recommend trying the shrimp, chicken, white rice and broccoli to start out here to taste how good their food is. BTW they serve PIZZA!!!!

This is definitely a hole in the wall-type restaurant. The exterior isn't great, and honestly the inside isn't much either. There's no place to sit, you come to order your food and go- but the service and quality of the food more than make up for it. We ordered an XL order of soy garlic wings (20 pieces) and a M order of honey spicy (10 pieces) and it was more than enough for 6 people. The crunch and flavor were TOP. I heard great things about the honey lemon pepper wings only after we placed our order, but unfortunately we didn't get to order any. I also have to shout out the employee that took our order. He was so friendly to us and also threw in extra sauces and Oreos when he saw we were celebrating my bachelorette. That extra touch of customer service made our visit here memorable. I'll be back to try the honey lemon pepper soon! - Ambiance: 3/5 - Food: 5+/5 - Service: 5++/5

Don't take it from me...if you're on social media you'll see that food influencers have travelled from afar to rate these wings. And even they were in disbelief how amazing these wings were. Service is always nice and they get orders ready fairly quickly for a fried wing joint. Ambiance isn't much to write about. Kind of your standard takeout place. We got the wings and stood outside and enjoyed them. The weather was nice. Bring plenty of paper towels and water to rinse your hands off.

This restaurant is exclusively for the second version. I don't come here often because I respect myself. But when I do? Oh, it's a whole event. The smoked wings are everything, the ribs hold up every single time, the smoked chicken is to die for, and that potato salad has absolutely no business being that good. Bonus: one order feeds me for like three days. Three. Days. The portion sizes alone deserve a five-star review. This is my naughty place and I am at peace with that.

The wings were seasoned just right and honestly didn't need sauce. If you want one though, go with the cilantro ranch. The BBQ sauce wasn't sweet or smoky, I'm still trying to figure out what the flavor was. Also, I got 9 drums and 3 flats, which was a little off, I'd prefer a 6/6 split. Online you cannot do all flats or all drums The spicy greens are meat-free and I even called both to make sure. had good flavor, but they were more sweet and spicy to me not just spicy. Service / Timing: The cashier wasn't very welcoming. No hello, no thank you, nothing. That definitely stood out for these prices. Value: Pretty pricey for what I got. My total was $27.55 for 12 wings and greens. HIGH Highlight: WINGS. Wrap-Up: Despite the service and the price, the food was good. I will be back for the wings!

But the fact of the matter is that this is a garbage plate with exceptionally well fried potatoes, and the pit beef on weck's protein is sourced from DC's best barbecue joint, 2Fifty, which only serves American wagyu and prime cut briskets. We shared a plate of 10 buffalo wings (medium), again excellently fried, and a 'split plate' garbage plate, meaning 1 burger and a hefty cut-down-the-center and griddled hot dog instead of the standard two cheeseburger patties. Twenty one dollars for the latter probably feels a lot more outrageous in Rochester than in DC, where it felt great for an entree large enough for two. What do you pair with a garbage plate? It turns out a Mark West Pinot Noir suits it well. I got a beef on weck to go and it was served with fries and takeout cups of horseradish and some of a collagen-loaded au jus that after refrigeration probably didn't need a plastic cup to retain its shape. The fries were under-salted, but otherwise this was a very pleasing lunch the next day. The staff were friendly and attentive on a busy night with a large and loud networking event taking up much of the restaurant footprint. I can't really be mad at a sports bar while I'm eating bar food, but the 25 foot media wall is appallingly bright to sit next to, and watching the FanDuel Sportsbook gambling chamber built into the facility is like staring at an open drug den that got a makeover from house flippers. Restaurants need every advantage they can get in this economy, but that little temple to Moloch is a bit much. Try to get a table away from it.
