Jerry's Carryout is one of my go-to late-night eats, especially after a night out. If you know, you know. My usual order is the honey barbecue wings with fried rice, and they do not skimp on the portions. They give you so much fried rice that I almost never finish the whole tray in one sitting. It's easily enough for leftovers. Another must-order item is the steak and cheese egg rolls. Those are fire. I always get at least two whenever I come here. If I'm in the mood to switch it up, I'll sometimes go for the shrimp basket with fried rice. I don't order it as often as the wings, but it's a solid option when I want something different. This is hands down one of the best carryout spots in DC. The only real advice I'd give is to call ahead, especially on weekends, because it gets busy and the wait can be long if you just walk in. unfortunately, this is not the Jerry's I remember. the chicken wings were very small and cooked too hard to enjoy. I got my food delivered via uber eats and it was cold, very cold when it got here. i paid extra for mumbo sauce and I got no mumbo sauce. paid extra for eggs in my fried rice and there no eggs and very little onions. it appears Jerry's has hit the bottom - lesson learned i guess because uber eats nor Jerry's seemed to care if i am happy or not. read more

Well another late night in dc. Another need for food after busy day. Got on yelp and thanks to fellow yelpers found this take out place. It's not super cute on the inside. Just hate minimum. Come to The window. And pick up your order. It was made pretty fast. Busy night. No parking so left the car running right outside. Food was definitely very good. Egg roll fresh. Not greasy. This spot is like any other corner carry out with Chinese food and the main food that I'm sure most people get is the wings with fries or fried rice. Honestly it didn't smell to pleasant when we entered. Smelled like trash that was sitting for a while. But lucky the food was good!! I haven't had this combination with mambo sauce in years and I felt like a kid/teenager again. Wifey said she would love to get a bottle of the sauce. Nice and sweet and goes well with the chicken. After my favorite carryout joint for chicken wings closed in Columbia Heights, I went on a hunt to find its replacement. Since then, I've been coming to Jerry's! Though they aren't AS amazing, the chicken wings here (plain, mumbo and hot sauce on the side) are crisp and always fried to order! The wings here are the full wing (wingette and drumette), so it's a good deal. You will never get a teeny tiny WingStop wing here ha ha ha I often bring these to office parties and picnics because they are always a hit AND they're affordable. My friends are skeptical that my go-to wing place is Jerry's, but they're always won over after they have some! We are from out of town and heard alot about the Mambo sauce with chicken wings. Jerry's did not disappoint. For about $20, we got 12 wings with fried rice that fed 4 people. Warning: I have only tried the chicken wings and mambo sauce from this place but they do it well. I've had mambo sauce at about 3 different places and so far this is the best I've had in DC. The chicken is cooked well and the mambo is great. It is not too sweet and slightly tangy. I would recommend getting the mambo on the fries too. I'm no expert on mambo sauce so take this review with a grain of salt. This place looks a little sketchy but I have never had any problems I guess this depends on what you are accustom to.
