It's nice to see more and more healthier bowl type spots in the city. The beet falafel is really flavorful. I did feel like it was fried instead of what it is marketed as, baked. Maybe the spot just nailed it! Beet hummus dip slapped as well. I'd love to try the turmeric hummus next or the cranberry hummus. The basmati rice was excellent as well. Salmon did not smell too fishy either. Little beet might be my go-to when I am looking for something grab-go and nutritional when in DC. I primarily look to eat as clean as possible so it's always nice to come across a spot that is pretty safe to eat from when trying to monitor your health. They had a lot of tasty options to meet various health concerns! I dont have any specific ones but still benefit from healthy food options just the same. I opted for the Low FODMAP bowl which came with salmon, charred broccoli, quinoa, seeds, and roasted sweet potatoes. It was suggested to try the Chipotle sauce on top and it was delicious. The bowl was filling and tasty! I thoroughly enjoyed it and the price wasn't bad for the amount of food that I got. I did get a side of the shaved broccoli and that was good, too. Seating is available and service was great and friendly. I will definitely venture back to try other menu items when I need a quick healthy meal! read more

I love healthy food and this place looked amazing with delicious options! I enjoyed my build your own but I didnt like the shaved Brussel sprouts, they tasted uncooked but maybe that's the point. I would get the broccoli next time. I got the raw salmon with sweet potato, shaved Brussels, beet lentil, super seeds, and half an avocado with the chipotle and garlic sauces. The server was very helpful and made great recommendations. The sauces were delicious! Bowl was $22 and next time I would try advertised bowls. Cute store and kind service! I wanted something different for dinner while still eating fairly healthy. I stumbled upon this spot on my way to another restaurant. I'm glad I gave Little Beet a try. It was delicious! I got a quinoa bowl with sweet potatoes, green beans, and salmon. I would definitely order again. This is more of a grab and go spot but it is clean and there's some stool seating inside and some outdoor seating as well. The only major con I had was the staff. Maybe they were just tired but they weren't too friendly and gave an "I don't want to be bothered" vibes. But despite that, I would come back. I got this order through a delivery service so I did not interact with staff. The carrots, green beans were great and so were the sweet potatoes. However, the salmon was dry, like other reviews mentioned. The hummus and chile sauce offset the dryness. The sauces were amazing. The plate was filling. I'm not sure what it was but this plate upset my stomach in the way that dairy can upset the stomach. Yet, there's no dairy in the dish. I've tried this place more times than I can count, usually with a group of 5-10 people; it's perfect for a team lunch / large group since they have such a variety of options! Even with our largest orders, Little Beet has always been efficient, friendly, and did everything flawlessly -- truly no complaints there! As far as the food goes, they have several chef-curated options, but I usually opt to build my own. You get a choice of base (either basmati rice, quinoa, or greens), two veggie sides, a protein, a sauce, and a garnish. You really can't go wrong with any of their sides, but I love that they have a bunch of warm and cold sides and that they label everything with known allergens / dietary restrictions. I usually opt for their warm sides, especially in this weather, and my favorites include the charred broccoli, roasted sweet potatoes, and green beans. They're all simple but executed perfectly. When it comes to proteins, I love their seared salmon! They also have a baked beet falafel and sweet n spicy tofu if you're looking for something plant-based, but their falafel tends to be on the drier side. My go-to sauces are the avocado bean dip and beet hummus -- who doesn't love guacamole and hummus? All in all, Little Beet is a great spot for a simple, straightforward, and healthy lunch. They have a pretty large and diverse menu, making it a great spot for a large group since everyone will be able to find something they like. I tried Little Beet for lunch with my co workers. I ordered the salmon dish Paleo bowl. It came with a beautifully seasoned salmon over lettuce. Then sweet potatoes and sesame see avocado. Been wanting to try this place. Went in recently and ordered a customized bowl with falafel, everything seemed fresh but when I got my food the falafel were hard as rocks, it was completely inedible. It's actually disturbing a restaurant can sell that. It was beyond disappointing. I sent the video to the restaurant who offered to reverse the charge but I paid cash and all they did was apologize. When I saw the name "Little Beet" I wrongfully assumed it was a vegetarian only place with fake meats but OMG, it is SO MUCH MORE!!! This was by far the most delicious, flavorful meal I've ever gotten from a "Chipotle" style restaurant. And when I saw they have 9 location in New York; I now know why. I got 1/2 rice 1/2 field greens, Brussels Sprouts, Rainbow carrots, Braised Pork, with Sweet Chilli and Chimichurri sauce (you HAVE to get the Chimichirri) and ALL the garnishes. It was so good I had to call the restaurant and tell them (I've NEVER done that before). And I love that they have SO many options to choose from; you could go there every week and get something difference every time. The cost is really good for the times too. With protein it's in $15/$16; but without protein it's only $10. You cannot get a whole meal for $10 anymore; especially a gourmet meal like this. Little beat is 100% in my weekly lunch rotation now. read more

Enjoyed a late lunch north of the national mall at this location. Apparently the other DC locations have all closed. As a person with celiacs disease, it was a delight to walk into their lovely clean establishment and have the option of creating my own bowl with a variety of proteins, vegetables, bases and toppings. I found the salmon a bit dry at 3:30pm which makes sense for that time of day. All the other items were yummy and made my meal a delight. I especially liked the butternut soup. The outside seating is plentiful and surrounded by plants between the roadway. The options for people watching were another element I enjoyed. One star off for the dried salmon. Happened to be walking by today (on my way to Chipotle) and they were offering free sample plates. Was skeptical because, well, beets and health my food and I was really looking forward to my burrito bowl. I took a chance and I'm really glad I did! I didn't even miss my Chipotle! The customer service is great, and they take care cooking and seasoning the dishes, especially for a fast casual spot. We stopped by here to try out the food and it was okay. The pork was a little over salted. Perhaps it's the combos I got. I like the beet pickle but do not like the blue cheese in it. This place is amazing! Kelviona (KK) and Jessy are exemplary in customer service. They are always great to talk to, and always keep me in high spirits for my day. Everyone there is great - And the food is so Yummy!, and always awesome. As someone with a severe food allergy, this is one of the few places I can always trust to provide me with food that is safe, sanitary, and delicious. Every time I've gone - the place is clean, and it's obvious that employees like Jessy and KK give a lot of care and love to every aspect of their jobs. They've stayed opened a little later for us late foodies when the line is long at the end of the day ( thank you!!). I've suggested they should have a tip jar 3 times now!
