BOWLS

First timer - came during a very busy lunch rush. Staff were really nice despite being slammed! Food was pretty good for quick service, massive Chipotle vibes. The free soup is a nice touch!

Customizable bowl

So exciting to go to a fully gluten free place! I did a customizable bowl with the lemon turmeric rice, tofu, cucumbers, pickled red onions, carrots, and teriyaki sauce. It was great! The sauce was giving Ken's salad dressing, but the ingredients in the bowl had lots of flavor without it. We placed an online order and although it was ready when we got to the store, they took two people's orders (picking all the ingredients, paying, the whole thing) while our bowls sat unpacked on the counter, so service was a little slow.

I love this place - it's like a Korean chipotle. They also give you free miso soup with your meal.

So good! Clean restaurant - we took the food to go! Such fresh delicious ingredients it was so so good! They had a great deal through the app and I was able to get a large bowl, drink and cookie for $12!

If you come in expecting Asian fusion at a Chipotle level of quality, you'll be impressed! Lots of options and customization, although the food is not at a "foodie" level. I liked the steak bowl (3/5 stars) and the Korean BBQ bowl (4/5 stars). The sweet potato noodles are glass noodles.

Pretty easy breezy "Chipotle-style" causal Asian restaurant. I like BIBIBOP in general because customers has multiple options to create their own personalized bowls. Actually, I wonder if someone has calculated the number of possible bowl combination. This location is pretty clean with a decent amount of seating for small parties (2-3 people). Also, thought the workers at this location were EXTREMELY friendly and polite. While I wouldn't go out of my way to eat at a BIBIBOP, I definitely would revisit this location if I'm in the mood for a rice and noodle bowl and in the area (e.g., within 4-8 blocks of this location).

BYO bowl with tofu and all the toppings
Sonya H.

A solid fast-casual spot that's conveniently located, affordable, healthy, and scratches my never-ending itch for good Korean / Asian food. Is it the most authentic or best Korean food that I've ever had? Of course not, but no one is asking Bibibop to do that. Is it tasty, easily customizable, have great variety, and decently cheap? Absolutely. And they even have meatless Monday bowls for 20% off, which is a great plus for all of my plant-based friends (or anyone whose New Year's resolution is to eat a little less meat while also saving a few dollars). I have yet to actually eat inside of a Bibibop, but it's definitely been a mainstay in my rotation of takeout and delivery over the past few months. I've been impressed by their consistency with the quality of their cooking and the freshness of their ingredients. I'll usually build my own bowl with a supergreen salad base and tofu....plus basically all of the toppings aside from the cheese. I do find the tofu and especially the potatoes a touch greasy for my taste / compared to other fast-casual salad / bowl spots, but that's honestly such a nitpicky comment. Bibibop is all-around a solid, safe option for a tasty lunch / dinner when I'm feeling a touch too lazy to cook but still want something satisfying, healthy, and tastes a bit like home.

Here is what makes Yellow (and all of Michael Rafidi's restaurants and cafes) stand out--delicious food, consistent recipes, well-trained staff who deliver exceptional service with love and consideration. If you've been to either of the Yellow Cafés and seen the queues and volume, you'll know why that matters. Well-oiled logistics are only as good as the weakest link and every visit to Yellow, there is no weakest link. Each employee behind the counter seamlessly wears multiple hats, be it checking ready orders against the receipt attached to them or asking customers if they want to dine in versus take out to offering vegan suggestions while taking orders to the live kitchen churning out gorgeous pitas and batata. Sadly, to all my fellow celiacs, please note that their policy is "NO SUBSTITUTIONS," even if you have a food allergy like I do. What I find frustrating is that less than 24 hours earlier, they were kind enough to accommodate a request for extra lettuce because their potatoes are NOT gluten-free. So, to have that request accommodated yesterday but refused today was disappointing, to say the least. The evening staff was noticeably less accommodating, even though they didn't seem particularly busy compared to the daytime staff. It sucks because we come here all the time, and I'm always raving about how amazing the food is, not to mention the customer service. That's what makes this experience so disappointing. When you're a returning customer who regularly recommends a place to others, you expect a little consistency in both the service and the willingness to accommodate reasonable requests.

My friend and I were seated immediately at a table next to the windows overlooking Wisconsin Ave, and our waitress provided great service throughout our meal. There were only a few other tables dining, so we had plenty of time to enjoy the dishes ordered. The Food Breakdown: Grandma's Style Pancake (4/5) - I was admittedly skeptical at first about the item, as the beef was presented wrap-style within the scallion pancake. However, it was actually a refreshing bite with a slight kick from the red pepper. It made for a filling starter. Pork Xiao Long Bao (5/5) - Very delicious and flavorful. There was a good amount of soup in each dumpling as well, properly wrapped so it was easy to pick up and add in the complimenting sauces. Steamed Vegetable Dumplings (4.5/5) - Unpictured, but I was pleasantly surprised by the seasoning in the veggies. They come with six per order, and I enjoyed alternatively between them with the soup dumplings. This was a great lunch stop in the heart of Georgetown, with a second, equally convenient location in Chinatown. The menu offers plenty of selections, and I'd be likely to revisit for its noodles and broth next.

I came here once on a rainy day without a reservation expecting it to be empty and it was quite the opposite, so this time I was prepared. As soon as my friend and I walked in, a server greeted us right away, helped us switch to an indoor booth, and ran through the daily special - with the kind of easy confidence you only get at a place that's been serving quality food like clockwork. The decor offers an artisanal vibe, almost like an Irish pub that's been polished up but still lived‑in. We started with the Hawaiian chicken appetizer, which was a standout dish: sweet, savory, and actually balanced. For the entrée, I went with the chicken parm, and it was extremely filling. I enjoyed the crispy breading and pasta. Definitely satisfying, and I'll be back to try the bread pudding soon. A couple of things that take away one star for me, personally: 1) I would recommend adding additional vegetarian options to the menu, 2) The noise and minimal space is a bit overwhelming on the senses. Overall, this spot is dependable, warm, and worth the stop if you're already in Georgetown.

The Mountain View sandwich is my personal favourite and has never let me down. It's got mashed avocado, bodega-style egg, and latke. Oh my! If you've never had a latke, you've got to try it! Even the bagels on their own are excellent, particularly the sesame, which has the proper chew and flavour one hopes for. The Georgetown location is also ridiculously charming. That bright pink corner building has been something of a local photo op for years, and it is almost impossible to walk past without noticing it. It is also perfectly situated for grabbing your food and wandering around Georgetown afterward. The employees are always nice and keep things moving despite the crowds. They've got the fresh bagels, friendly service, and a semi-iconic location. Sure it gets a busy with a queue out the door, but it moves quicker than you'd think and gives you time to study the menu!
