Delicious food, cute ambience. I ordered "Tastes of the Sea" (pictured) and the seafood was perfectly cooked.

I stopped here for lunch this week. By it being less than a mile from the capitol, I figured they had internet for their customers, especially during lunch. I asked the waitress for the password and she told me they didn't have Wi-Fi. I then search for local networks and I see the name "Young Chow." I've the ask again about the internet. First she tells me that the password doesn't work and in the same sentence she finishes it with, the internet is slow because of door dash, etc. Shortly after my colleague arrives, I explained to her that they do not offer internet. We both decided to leave and on the way out, the waitress said she would ask the owner for the internet information. Now which one was it? I simply let her know that we were no longer interested after I asked her three different occasions. By the way, I was the only one in the restaurant. Happy New Year.

the food here is so good! i've had the vegetable lo mein twice and while the quality is inconsistent and variable, it's still been delicious both times. i also ordered the general tso's tofu last night and it was incredible. the service is really attentive and quick; i had a friend who has celiac and the server brought over some gluten free soy sauce for her so she could fully enjoy her meal. it was quiet and nice and i liked the wall of famous people. definitely will return when im in this neighborhood!

Lemon Chicken, Hong Kong Chow Fun
Sonya L.

This review is for take out/delivery. Overall I would give 3.5, if half stars were a thing. We ordered lemon chicken, that came with white jasmine rice, and char siu Hong Kong style chow fun. Our order was ready for the delivery pick up pretty quickly. The food was packed well, I appreciate the sauce was packed separate from the chicken, to keep it from getting soggy. The lemon chicken was ok. Some pieces were heavily battered and the sauce was different from what I'm used to. The sauce was a little more orange in color, and I think had some pulp or something in it--it wasn't bad, just different. The chow fun had good amount of char siu in it and the ratio was good. It was a tad bit on the oily side. Price wise, it was a little expensive for Chinese food, but that might be just DC normal.

What's not to love about sushi and Chinese food. Soon as I get pass the entrance I'm blessed with a genuine greeting... I'm usually do the dumpling and sip on a Zombie drink while I decide what I'll be having for my main dish. It's so many options that you are overwhelmed but still excited to consume some good food. They also have a good Happy Hour and a lot of my favorite items on it. The ambiance is the only thing they need to work on here. I wish they was able to spice it up a bit or give it a good facelift..

Shrimp Tempura Roll
Shari D.

Their shrimp tempura is HUGE!! It was soooo filling and to be honest, the best shrimp tempura I've had in a very long time. They have tons of menu items, including a variety of vegan/vegetarian options. The service is very speedy, and the staff were very friendly! Seating is petty comfy and there's lots of photos of their famous customers. I enjoyed my time here and plan on coming back soon!

As we were walking back towards our hotel, we actually were passing here so I chose it for our din din spot. I thought for sure it was going to be packed but luckily it was not. I knew I wanted a burger but was struggling with choosing which one. Hubs knew he wanted the Cheesesteak and knew I wanted fries. I went with the Smokehouse burger. We grabbed a seat and did not wait long for our food to come out. I really enjoyed my burger and scarfed it down! I paid for sauces, which were tiny and super overpriced. Hubs enjoyed his cheesesteak but he prefers meat. I had a bite and thought it was really flavorful and very closely tasting like the real thing. I noticed later this is a chain, which is pretty cool. I think the prices were pretty steep so I might skip on the fries next time. The food could have been warmer as well. Definitely worth a visit and will most likely be back when in DC again.

Appreciate you can try different sauces to dip your fries or add to your sandwich or bowls. Only reason they didn't get a 5 star on this last visit was how long it took to get our order. It was a Saturday night, so we did mobile ordering and pickup. It said it would be ready within 3-15 minutes. I arrived 12 min after our order was placed. They were quite busy - and seemed the two employees working were a bit overwhelmed. There were a few people waiting for food, a line to order, they were out of containers for sauces, and some of the sauces were empty. I ended up waiting for an extra 25 minutes until I asked to check on an order - it was apparent from their reaction, our order got lost in the shuffle. Once they realized, they made it right away, which was appreciated. However, they grabbed a bag of fries that had been sitting on the counter since I walked in - so they were cold. Good thing - they do great in the air fryer! I've never experienced these issues before and it won't stop me from returning, definitely felt like a bit of an off night for them. Solid food, great cause, and one of the best affordable options for a quick bite at the Wharf! Recommend them!

We arrived to a line out the door on a Friday night but we only waited around 25 minutes for a table. The seating inside is plentiful and the atmosphere is loud but cozy and fun - family friendly and enjoyable. We enjoyed the most amazing food - Fontina Vodka Penne (with Shrimp), Kale & Romaine Caesar Salad, Whiskey & Aged White Cheddar Burger, 20oz Bone-in Ribeye. The steak and burger were cooked to perfection, the sauces were outstanding and the Caesar salad was by far the best out of all of this listed. The bar selection and beer selection were amazing - the menu clearly highlights the types of beer into each category which helps make a decision much faster. The Cider on tap was so good. The service was good- they were very busy so refills and checking in on us took a bit longer, but it was understandable and we didn't have any issues at all. Our server gave the best recommendations for top sellers and her favorites which is nice being from out of town!

Wild how they make so much tasty vegan stuff. Although, my Korean fried Chick'n sandwich definitely needed more accompanying tater tots ( I had maybe 10). Food came out super fast. Service has to be 3 stars though. Our server said the gochujang mayo wasnt spicy, when gochujang is (it's got a mildly strong kick that quickly evens out/dissipates) so that's just incorrect to tell people who can't handle heat. More importantly, we were all done with desert at roughly 9pm and it wasn't until 9:40, despite multiple moments of eye contact from a few of us, that our server even came to our table to clear our plates. We'd all clearly been done, not even nibbling, for almost that whole time. In that time, other than his regular duties, our server seemed to do other idle things or "end of the evening" tasks, setting up other tables, stacking plates on them, etc. instead of checking on us. Again, a few of us made eye contact a couple times, which can indicate (along with none of us having touched our plates for 5-10 minutes) that we're done. Other plates had been cleared almost right away. We were also all left wanting for water at the end as no other staff came by to see if we needed more. So yeah, not thrilled about that. Also, it was weirdly a smidge too warm in Planta Queen tonight. I suspect the AC just wasn't on as strong because of the AQI in DC (on June 17, 2026) but it was noticeable.

It wasn't too long since I had last had ethiopian, but I only have it a few times a year. So I was pretty excited. We were curious about whether the honey wine was on the sweeter or dryer side, and the lady taking care of us was kind enough to let us taste it before committing. We decided to share a bottle, and we decided to do a deluxe platter as well. That included six veggies and one protein of our choice. We decided on the lamb tibs. Everything came out, and it was all fantastic. I can count the times that I have had Ethiopian lamb, and this definitely did not disappoint. I missed having beats, but I did really love the lentils. There is a parking garage around the corner of the restaurant so that makes things very convenient. The inside decor is gorgeous and is chic but also funky fresh. The serving size of the dishes I ordered were medium to small. The service was far less satisfactory than food. I tried the following dishes: 1. Complimentary pita: ~40g per piece. Not salty and paired well with the other dishes. Definitely get some! 2. Lahmacun: The lamb+beef mixture was tasty. It came with 4 pieces. 3. Branzino: ~6oz. The fish was grilled to perfection; juciy tender, and the skin was nicely charred. It was served with freh parsley and seasoned grilled tomato (salt+oregano I think). 4. Imam Bayildi: Half of an eggplant topped with sauteed onions and tomatoes. While itself was pretty normal, it went so well with the Ottoman rice. 5. Ottoman Rice: The true highlight of all the dishes I tried! It was basically Basimati rice cooked with dried apricots, raisins, almonds & pine nuts mix, and seasoned with black currant. Overall it was warm, earthy and lightly smoky. The apricot slices added some delightful sweetness and juiciness to the dish. Should pair well with Labneh, chicken and seafood. But to be honest, I can simply eat this stuff along for a whole meal! 6. Tabbouleh: They went against the traditional recipe by substituting the bulgur with quinoa and added some pomegranate arils. I liked the special texture of quinoa. The sweetness of pomegrante arils also enriched the flavors. However, I had to constantly spit the seeds when enjoying the salad. 7. Kofte: Adana style ground beef patties. Just like what I make at home haha! I ordered it as an add-on to my salad at lunchtime. It came with only 2 pieces which weighed no more than 3oz in total... Despite the delicious food, service was disappointing. The first time, the dinner, was Okay. While my food came out slowly, at least my server was aware of it and asked me how I liked the dishes. The second time, the lunch, was horrible. Even before I was seated, my server made me feel that he was reluctant to serve me, and emphasized that I had to order asap. "Luckily", I had already decided what to order. After I got my dishes, no one in the restaurant asked me if the food was Okay. And at the check, my bill was thrown onto my table. In comparison, the two ladies dining next to me came even after I started eating, but were greeted warmly and were given lots of time to decide what to order; not to mention that the staff gave them lots of suggestions, asked about their dining experience, and even chatted with them about sightseeing in DC, etc. Such discrimitory treatment is really unacceptable.
