    Spicy Pork Bibimbap
    Akande S.

We ordered spicy pork bimbimbap and bulgogi dosirak. Both really fresh and delicious. The spicy pork comes as a level 2 spicy (which was good for me) BUT they give you a full container of gochujang sauce on the side to up the spice level to your liking. And that little container packs some heat! The bulgogi was tasty as well. Good slices of steak with very little fat. Smoky or grilled flavor which gave it a nice twist. The bulgogi sauce is there but it's light. Would have been nice to get more of that expected flavor profile. Came with a choice of sides. We had grilled kimchi and pickled carrots. The veggies were prepared well, not overcooked and, just in case anyone was wondering, the kimchi is NOT at all spicy but still tasty. All in all a hit with our house. Each meal was perfectly portioned for one. Check them out.

It is nice seeing asian food in the area that is more affordable. I always walk around the area for my lunch break and gave this a try. The price for what you get is worth it, especially with the generous bulgolgi to rice proportions. The bulgolgi was juicy and tender. The kimchi was not spicy in my opinion, which was good for me. The food took about 10 minutes, which is pretty normal for asian food. I feel like this place is a hidden gem in the area and hope it will stay here for a while. The restaurant is not made for dining in, as it only has bar-styled wall tables. The area looked clean and had cute decorations behind the counter.

Tofu manna box ($12 with tax)

I was visiting DC and this was the closest restaurant to where I was staying, so looking for a quick dinner, I decided to check it out. Completely empty when I went on a Monday night, the space is small with about 5 seats available inside. They have a straightforward menu with meat and vegan options, and the boxes are customizable to what veggie sides you want. I tried the manna box with tofu as the protein ($11) and carrots and broccoli as the sides. The food was ready in minutes. Although the tofu was nicely seasoned with soy garlic sauce and decent, the carrots were heavily pickled and the broccoli was simply steamed. Overall a simple meal with no flare.

Oh, man - we really wanted to like Manna Dosirak, but the food here seemed to cater and appease the non-Asian tastebuds. Their menu offers various appetizers (mandu, japchae, gimpab, haemul pajeon, etc.), bibimop, and dosiraks. We came here for an early lunch, and we ordered: +Gimpab - filledw ith carrots, radish, cucumber, and seasoned brudock root; the rice was very vinegar heavy, and the kimbop was way too sour +a Bulgogi Bibimbap - came with rice, lettuce, shredded radish, shredded carrots, cucumbers, bean sprouts, and a fried egg with sesame oil, sesame seeds, and green onions on top; the bulgogi was okay, but it was more on the sweeter end; the veggies were okay, but they could be a bit more fresh and more crunchy/crisp +a Chicken Cutlet dosirak - the chicken donkatsu was okay; it was thin and breaded well, and it came with a side of donkatsu sauce +a Shrimp dosirak - you can opt for hot or a sweet sour sauce; we opted for the hot; the shrimp had a fishy smell to it, so we didn't eat it; the side banchans were similar to the ones in the bibimbop - could have been more fresh and crunchy/crisp; we did like the shrimp tempura, as it was very crispy, but heavily breaded; the jahp chae was too oily Service here is super friendly! There is a kiosk where you can order; the place seems to get tons of online/mobile orders for pickups. There is limited counter space with some stools to dine-in, but most seem to get their orders to go. We're glad to give this place a try, but wouldn't return. Parking available in shared small lot. +friendly service +limited counter seating inside +parking available in shared small lot

Visited during the pandemic... Very friendly owner! First time here after reading the glowing online reviews and it did not disappoint! Small mom and pop shop with pretty authentic Korean food. I got the spicy pork and it was delicious. All the side dishes are very well made too! I highly recommend the cheese corn! Very well priced and affordable. Will definitely come back again

I'd heard good things about this place and decided to grab some takeout for dinner. I like that their menu has so many options and also allows for a lot of customizability. I had the spicy chicken box and some gimbap (always a sucker for gimbap as it reminds me of fun treats while traveling). The spicy chicken was perfectly cooked with a good heat without being overly sweet which sometimes happens. The cucumber kimchi was solid, but I found the broccoli didn't need all the extra gochujang. The gimbap was perfect and very fresh. Totally balanced out the meal.

I am obsessed with this place. Thanks to COVID, I think I eat here once a week. Everything I've had is delicious, the staff are so kind if you have questions about the menu or whatever, and they've made their space look really neat. I'm a fan of the cheesy corn, the beef and the pork are equally good, and the mandu are the perfect complement. What are you waiting for? Go now (or order online, I don't know your life).

I made RSVP for this Korean restaurant on a Sunday evening...and it was bustling!…read more Despite RSVP for the main room, we got seated in an extended part of the room (more like an indoor patio?)...so frankly, the ambiance was a bit off for me. So was the overhead music. Guess I expected a more authentic Korean experience, but the place was more or less an Americanized Korean bistro. Still, the foods seemed authentic! We ordered a few things to share... Mandu, Dolsot Bibimbap, and this Ssam Board. For drinks, my husband got some beer (?), and I got this fruity cocktail (??). First, the positives! The Mandu was really, really good...and quite meaty! The Dolsot Bibimbap was good in that it came with a generous load of fresh veggies. Now the problems. The Bulgogi in the Dolsot Bibimbap was problematic. It was a bit too fatty...and too chunky...and just hard to eat. It was also a bit bland! They should have cut it up a bit...or provided us with proper cutlery, like a fork and a knife! This is a pet peeve of mine...but nowadays, hardly any restaurant gives you the full set of cutlery. Just fork, or just chopsticks!! Then the Ssam Board. While it looked luscious, I personally had a problem with the meat. While I love Galbi, cuts of Galbi was all-out rare. The waiter didn't even ask for our preference, by the way. If I knew it'd be prepared that red, I would have ordered something else. If it was medium-rare, for instance, I might have liked this dish. My husband prefers a much more rare cut of meat than me, yet even he thought this was too red. Also, I expected something more than raddish for sides. Not sure if this "Board" was worth $42. We also tried this Black Sesame Ice Cream dessert. I loved the flavor...but nothing too special. Service was a bit off as well. While friendly at our table, our waiter wasn't too attentive...especially in the beginning. If he stopped by our table earlier, I might have gotten them to bring back the Ssam Board to cook the meat a bit more. Frankly, I was underwhelmed with the foods, the presentation, even the service. Overall, there were just too many things amiss (or just underwhelming??)...so much so that I doubt I'll pick this place again.

The dining room had a handful of tables occupied. In short, easy to get a seat. Drinks were good. I like the Somaek ($6) which is a small beer and a shot of soju. Beer ($7) was beer. We got some beef and pork mandu (dumplings) that were pretty good. 6 pieces for $10 on HH. We got two entrees, the Ddukbokgi ($28) and Yukgaejang ($29), which came with four banchan. Ddukbokgi is chewy rice cakes, gochujang, onion, and bulgogi. We thought it was only ok -- we've had better, including at Mandu in the past. Yukgaejang was a new dish for me. The menu described it as a "spicy beef stew, brisket, noodles, shiitake, bean sprouts, and egg." I expected the brisket to be sliced and recognizably brisket, but it was pulled -- it looked and tasted more like pulled pork. The dish also didn't have any noodles in it. I didn't like it. The banchan was seaweed, bean sprouts, kimchi, and cucumbers. It was okay. Service at the bar was fine.
