    Japchae Noodles Box
    Krystyn P.

This review is for their delivery service only, which can be found under Uber Eats as "Just Add Soju". I ordered Jap Chae with Bulgogi, and a side of kimchi. The jap chae and bulgogi was very good .... But OMG, the kimchi! That was some of the most flavorful kimchi I had in a while and my mouth is still watering thinking about it. Definitely recommend ordering from here if you're needing some quick and easy food delivery in Arlington or DC.

Beef fried dumplings are rare but here they are so delicious will definitely be coming back. Also had bulgogi japchae and it was really good.

Simple original tasting Korean food! Finally they have rescued DC. Welcoming owners and easy to order with a elegant modern inside ambiance. 떡볶이 Korean Rice Cakes, 양념치킨 Boneless Fried Chicken, and 김밥. They have wine and Sapporo Beer and will have 소주 (Soju) and Korean Beer shortly. We will be back often. Prices are good but most importantly food tastes great! 감사합니다! Life Savers

    Rainbow bibimbop
    Elaine S.

My first carryout order from here! I tried the rainbow bibimbop and it was very fresh and delicious. The bulgogi was warm and flavorful and the brown rice at the bottom of the dish and the fresh vegetables (red cabbage, kale, carrots) & steamed vegs (corn, zucchini) that decorated on top were fabulous. This place satisfies my Korean craving here in Brookland while at work and I am excited to come back and try their other dishes. Now I don't have to run to Arlington or Centreville Virginia for a weekday Korean craving at work!

Inside Spicy Pork Banh Mi - lots of pork
    Akande S.

I used uber eats so can't speak to service but flavor was a GO! I got the spicy pork banh mi which came loaded with pork and a nice balance of fresh toppings to offset the spice and YES! There was spice!! The bread was a bit hard on the outside (think french bread presentation without french bread flavor or chew) and i requested extra mayo which must've been missed in the notes. Still satisfying.

    Pork Belly Bossam Special Set
    Taj M.

I ordered takeaway and got the Special Pork Belly Bossam set (for two), which came with sides of rice, japchae, and kimchi banchan. The tray was neat and could have easily served as an immediate centerpiece the way that it was packaged. The lettuce was crisp, the pork was tender and good cuts of meat that weren't overly fatty. The japchae was light and a little sweet and savory--addictive. The kimchi had great flavor, and this was more than enough food for the two us. This was my first time having bossam where it was accompanied by lettuce instead of pickled cabbage leaves for wrapping, but the lettuce added a nice texture, and I just piled on kimchi from the banchan, along with the sauces, jalapeños and garlic, and it was delicious. We'll definitely get this again, and I'm planning to try the Traditional Bibimbap next. I'm so excited to find this nearby!

    Vegan Brownie
    Moni T.

I saw this place on Yelp's Instagram page and since I was working in the city decided to go here for lunch. I thought it was a place I can order my food and sit down to eat. I was wrong. Once you enter the building there's a kiosk with the bangbop sign. You place your order and wait for it to come out. There are two other establishments in the building as well. The food I order was good. I wished my brownie came in one of those plastic trays, it probably would've tasted fresher. Also, I didn't get the correct drink I ordered, instead of the Korean lemon-lime drink, they gave my American Sprite. I probably wouldn't come back to this establishment.

Korean Fire Chicken Pizza -- ITS HUGE
    Rafia R.

OMGGGG ASGDJFGHKLLJAJSJA I've ordered from here just once through Grubhub, got two things their Korean fire chicken pizza and their gyopo (chicken) bibimbap. I literally just only had maybe 1/3 of their pizza and I had to write this review right away!!! THE PIZZA IS SOOOO GOOD. It has Korean seasoned chicken with kimchi and cheese. The taste is so authentic and so flavorful. It is truly a fusion pizza. The size is huge (definitely two meals worth). And the price??? Just $13 for this pizza?? My dudes PLEASE CHECK THIS PLACE OUT FOR THE PIZZA!! I will report back when I've had the bibimbap but I have a high expectations! This is definitely a spot to check out.

The bartender went out of their way to discuss with the chef vegan options to ensure we had a fully plant based meal. We started with the Clay & Craft soju flight. This was such a treat! We have never tried soju with such high alcohol proofs. It felt so upscale and unique. We shared the Onggi Lunch Jeongsik Set modified to be vegan. This was a great portion size of food to share among two people. The pajeon was my husband's favorite part of the meal. I enjoyed the vegan jigae the most. Overall there was no weak part of this meal and we did not leave a single morsel of food behind. I will note that the vegan bulgogi tasted almost identical to the bulgogi you can buy at Trader Joe's. We love that bulgogi so that is not a problem. It was just funny to taste something very familiar to us. The rest of the meal was new flavors for me, and reminded my husband of his 4 years living in Korea. My husband has not had authentic Korean flavors made vegan before so this was a major treat. We saved room for dessert and enjoyed this soft nutty sweet treat. It was the perfect finish to a delicious lunch. Thank you Onggi for being so vegan friendly! We cannot wait to enjoy another meal here.

Biibimix is a fast-casual Korean spot in DC that feels so much more welcoming than you might expect from usual fash casual spots! The restaurant was very clean, had plenty of seating, and was quiet enough for an easy conversation. It would be a great option for a casual date or dinner with friends without feeling rushed or overly crowded. SERVICE When we walked in one evening, we were able to independently choose where we wanted to sit and were given menus. We sat down to peruse the menu and when we were ready, we went to the counter to order and pay. The service was kind, warm, and genuinely welcoming! The staff were friendly and understanding about questions on the menu, which made the experience feel comfortable and personal despite the fast-casual format. That level of hospitality can be so hard to find in a metropolitan area, especially at a restaurants that are the fast-casual style (generally running on quotas or something) focused on speed and value. FOOD After we ordered, we were told the food would be delivered to us shortly and that we could welcome ourselves to banchan. I absolutely loved that you can choose your own banchan -- a mix of broccoli, kimchi, crispy crunchy pickeld radish, and more! The self-selection made the meal feel more personal, and the soup as an option was a great addition as well. We ordered the seafood soondubu and the bibimbap bowl with bulgogi. The food came out quickly but tasted fresh and (you can hear the sounds of the kitchen behind the partition!) made to order. The vegetables in the bibimbap were crisp, colorful, and full of flavor, and the bulgogi added a savory sweetness that made the bowl especially satisfying. The amount of seafood was solid and I found the taste pretty solid based on the 10+ spots I've been to ordering the same item. Between the fresh ingredients, generous portions, and affordable prices, Bibimix offers an almost ridiculously good value. It is the kind of meal that leaves you feeling like you got much more than you paid for. I even had food to-go and was super nicely given a box to go! OVERALL Bibimix is an excellent casual dining option in DC. The food is fresh (the rice is made right!) and flavorful, and served quickly, while the prices make it easy to come back regularly. I would 100% revisit for a quiet dinner, a casual date, or a meal with friends. It is delicious, comfortable, and absolutely worth the value...and you should visit too!

I've had better. 3. Lobster steamed egg (1/5) - the lobster was rubbery and I'm not a big fan of mixing sweet and savory together and for me, the sweet peppers ruined the entire dish. For me, the dish as a whole was less than the sum of its parts. 4. Ssam (5/5) - this dish saved the rest of the meal. The meat was tender the pear was nice and refreshing but to be honest, I consider this hard to mess up as long as the meat is good. My wife said that she wishes we just ordered two of these and nothing else lol. 5. Drinks (non-alcoholic - one was yakult and the other I think was passionfruit) - my wife really enjoyed both drinks so I guess I'll round up the review to 4 stars. If I lived in DC, I would probably go back here but since we're from out of state and visit DC once a year for work, we probably wouldn't come back here.
