4.4 I can't believe this place isn't packed. Great prices and really good food. I got Samsa which was so soft and flaky and on the inside it had some flavorful ground meat. The Butter Naan was perfect It had perfect amount of butter and it was so soft and delicate, I could eat 100 of them. For the entree I got lamb kebab and it was good as well. It was tender and decent flavor, just a lil more flavor would make it perfect. I also tasted the whole fish from my friends plate and that was really good, flaky and flavorful umami taste. The cake had a good taste even though it's not my type of cake. I like moist cakes instead of dry. The employees were very attentive and helpful, my friend was allergic to butter and he made sure they accompanied us. The inside was really nice with the huge paintings and cultural decor. I can't wait to try more dishes.

Mouthwatering food Healthy portions Repeat-eligible Surprisingly delicious seafood for such a landlocked nationality. Nice decor, great flavors, adequate pricing, and quaint location. The Uyghur salad was so good, I had it for an appetizer and then again for dessert. My whole family was thrilled from start to finish with every dish we ordered. The restrooms could use some TLC, but everything else was top notch.

First time trying uyghur food! Everything here is halal, and they serve lamb, beef, chicken, or veggie options. If you're looking to splurge, they also cook a whole lamb or goat for $850 (order a day in advance). The laghman noodles were the traditional Chinese thick noodles with a lot of sauce and peppers. Goyro laghman had more sauce and mu'er (wood ear mushroom). I think the best noodle dish was the gambian soman because the noodles were coated in a sauce that made it more flavorful. It was slightly saltier though. All of us got noodles and it was really filling. The chicken in the laghman was also cooked really well, better than the beef. I would recommend gambian soman if you were to get one noodle dish, if you don't mind a saltier brown sauce. Otherwise, get the chicken goyro laghman which comes with mu'er mushrooms. They also sell mango lassi for $9.95, buy one get one free. I think uyghur food tasted to me like a blend of chinese, indian, and turkish cuisine. They were also playing a lot of turkish and hindi songs in the background. There's also a nice seating area on the floor, if you choose (shoes off). All the dining is upstairs so you have to go up the stairs from when you first enter. Service was a bit slow, took them a long time to give us our checks. I think it was because there was only one waiter on the floor.

They get a late start. 1030ish. Didn't have a barista yet but the server could do espresso. The tea was absolutely amazing. The breakfast is probably one of my all time favorites. I wish they offered it at their DC location. Will have again. Over and over, every few weeks

OK first I have to say we got a lunch delivery so......there's that. The food was truly delicious. We ordered online so there may have been a communication problem. We got one item wrong and were missing one item but were charged for it and when we called about it they said they were out of that item today,a call back to tell us that would have made the experience better. Getting charged for something that you know you don't have is a bit irresponsible. Again the food was really really good so at the end of the day I would say stay away from delivery and go to the restaurant to eat. I can't speak to that yet but I will at a later time Cheers to all!

Authenticity wins. Service was superb too. Owner was so kind that she gave us free cake which tasted wonderful too. Would certainly go back.

Had a wonderful New Years Eve dinner here. The restaurant is on the 2nd floor overlooking a neighborhood park. Interior is decorated with Silk Road style paintings, textiles and hats. The menu has Middle Eastern and Asian influences. We shared their house special tea. It had leaves and dried flowers steeped in a clear tea pot. Could taste different hints of flowers in a black tea base. For starters we shared the Adas and the samsas. The former was a light but flavorful lentil dip that came with slices of warm eerkins butter naan. The naan was more doughy and buttery than other types I've had but very good. The samsas were well-seasoned beef turnovers wrapped in a flaky pastry exterior. Both were excellent. Got the spicy yellow cold noodles with lamb kabobs. The noodles were firm and tossed in black vinegar, chili oil and paste, and cilantro. While spicy, still very refreshing. The lamb kabobs were piping hot and tender. Hints of cumin and chili powder on the kabobs enhanced their flavors. My companion enjoyed his gam bian soman. Noise levels were low, staff was friendly. Will be back to try other dishes.

I highly recommend this restaurant, the food is FANTASTIC! Not to mention the atmosphere is great as well, the restaurant is very traditional Uyghur style. They have both normal dining area as well as a traditional Uyghur style dining area. The service is also great, the employees were so nice I highly recommend this restaurant if you are in the D.C Area or visiting

The food was extremely delicious it reminded me of Uyghur food back in XinJiang. This restaurant is very authentic!!! I will definitely come again. The service is also good and friendly!!!

Finally made it to Eerkin's and loved the meal. Great food, good prices. This review is for takeout only so I can't speak to the dine-in service. We did have a mishap which was annoying/unfortunate (they forgot a dish, and when we called I spent 10 minutes speaking with two staff members to finally conclude that they couldn't refund for the missing dishes). The order was also not ready on time but I won't remove stars for these. The food was great. Loved the samsas, flaky delicious and addicting. The manta were nice as well, I'm sure better fresh too. Naan was good and so was the quorma - not a standout dish in terms of flavor but still very nice. Favorite dishes were of course the hand pulled noodles, goyro laghman was great and the chopped soman was the standout with a bit of heat and lots of flavor. We were missing the gam bian soman, so will need to try that on a future trip.

About a month ago my wife and I loaded up on their UberEats BOGO deals that included Ugrah Noodle Soup, Hummus, Gam Bian Soman (one chicken and one lamb), Home Made Laghman (one lamb and one beef), and Boneless Chicken Quorma, We had enough for the entire week and loved every bite of it. It is too bad they closed the Rockville location before we could try it but would love to visit the Glover Park location some time in person and try more of their food and some tea.

First time eating Uyghur food and it was delicious! Lovely restaurant upstairs with a fun decor and comfortable seating place. I will say that the service was spotty, but I'm not a huge stickler for perfect service so it wasn't a huge deal. The food was incredible! We got the beef dumplings, which were rich and flavorful, and the home made noodles, that were specify and delicious. Definitely can tell they use fresh ingredients! Food came out relatively slow, but was worth the wait. TLDR: solid food experience here !

Eerkin's Uyghur cuisine: tea blends to smell

They are a solid 3.5 place. since Yelp has no half stars, I resorted to 3 due to uncleanliness. 1. Reservation: we had one, but seemed unnecessary, they had enough seats. 2. Dirty - 1 star This part is very alarming. As we walked in the restaurant, there was no greeter, so we decided to go up the stairs. The stairs were full of dirt, dust, food drops.. my heart sank wondering if the sanitation was an issue at this establishment. Washed hands before eating and the bathroom is Very dirty and had no hand towel. This made me wonder if we should still eat here or go. 3. Food - 4 stars - The doghman was excellent - Mantu was okay, too much pepper, makes me wonder if the meat was of bad quality and needed to cover up with too much spice - Kathlama naan: reminded me of food I used to eat when I was young, not the healthiest choice, but delicious - hummus: good 4. Tea - 5 stars This deserves its own category and they have a menu for tea that is longer than their food menu. I had the saffron tea and thoroughly enjoyed it. They even have a little samples where you can smell the tea blend to help you decide. 5. Service: 4 stars Our server was not fluent in English, so many questions we had about their menu was unanswered. But he was very polite despite language difficulties. 6. Interior: 2 stars They certainly need to clean the place, the pictures on the wall are crooked, half of them have their tile missing. Very haphazard. The long sit-down and eat area was great, but knowing the dirt of rest of place, I am sure they don't vacuum or clean these cushions, so that made it very discomforting.

The Dan Dan noodles were SO good. The sauce was the perfect combination of creamy and spicy, and there was a generous amount of minced pork that balanced everything out really well. The wontons paired perfectly with the chili sauce that came with them! They were spicy--my ears turned red and my nose started running--but I literally could not stop going back for another bite. We ordered the Spicy Miso with the spice bomb and egg, along with the veggie ramen with spice bomb. The Spicy Miso was the clear winner--easily one of the most flavorful ramen bowls I've had, with just the right kick and incredible depth. The veggie ramen was also excellent and a great option for vegetarians. We also tried the gyoza, spring rolls, and Sapporo beer. For dessert, we ordered the black sesame ice cream, but the ramen portions were so generous that we were too full to finish it! Service was quick, attentive, and efficient. Let me start by saying I recently visited Daikaya on Monday, August 3, 2026, and unfortunately the…read moreservice that day was disappointing. I gave that particular visit 1 out of 5 stars. However, I also want to mention that Daikaya is one of my family's favorite ramen spots, so we were genuinely surprised by the experience because it has always been much better in the past. When we arrived, we were told that our entire party had to be present before we could be seated, which we understood. We also know that seating is first come, first served. In the past, we've been able to sit in a booth with two people, but this time we were informed that booths were reserved for parties of three or more. It was a little frustrating because the restaurant was slow at the time, and my wife politely explained that we would likely be finished before the dinner rush. Even so, we respected the policy and waited until a seat became available. I do want to give Terry a shoutout because he was very kind and professional. I explained that I couldn't sit at the bar due to my foot, and he was understanding. However, when he relayed that information to another employee, I immediately noticed a change in the other gentleman's body language and attitude. He seemed irritated about having to seat us. Once we were seated, the interaction only became more uncomfortable. He slammed our cups onto the table, and when I asked for a straw, he didn't hand it to me--he simply placed it down without saying much. There were several other small interactions throughout our meal that made us feel unwelcome. It reached the point where we decided we'd rather leave, so we flagged Terry down, asked for to-go containers, and requested the check. During our visit, I also noticed a party of four seat themselves and grab their own menus while both servers had their backs turned at the bar. When the same gentleman approached them, his demeanor was completely different. He was pleasant, took their order right away, and their food came out promptly. Watching that interaction made our experience feel even more disappointing. The food, thankfully, was excellent as always. That's one thing Daikaya continues to get right. I also noticed that none of the staff members we're used to seeing--who have always been warm, welcoming, and respectful--were working that day. Overall, this visit was a rare disappointment because the customer service simply wasn't up to the standard we've experienced over the years. While this particular experience deserves a low rating, I also want to acknowledge that every previous visit has been excellent. I'm hoping this was just an off day because Daikaya has consistently been one of our favorite places for ramen.

Plus, the ambience is a mix of relaxation and class. I ordered the Lychee Martini to start, followed by the Tom Yum Fried Rice with Shrimp. It was cold, fresh, and so flavorful. Plus, it packed a punch. Although I normally eat the pork belly with fried rice, I decided to go with the Tom Yum Fried Rice with Shrimp, which did not disappoint. The freshness and spicy/sour flavors really delight the pallet. Plus, the pepper tray provides vinegar and hot sauces to supplement, if needed. The owner not only cares about the quality of the food in this restaurant, but about his customers and the community. I haven't visited for a while, and the staff still remembered my standard order. That attention to detail is something that makes people feel appreciated and want to come back again and again. Kudos to Baan Siam for their success year over year!

Amazing Thai food at this restaurant. Got the green mango Salad, chicken wings, khao soi, and beef…read morecurry. The mango salad was delicious, I could eat that all day. The khao soi had good flavor, and it came with rice. The chicken wings were for my son, he said they were the best wings he's ever had. The beef curry had good flavor, but the beef was a bit overcooked. Service was a little bit of a miss. When the waiter first came, he asked us for our food order. However, we wanted to order drinks first. I was able to order my cocktail, however, the waiter left before anyone else at my table could speak to order a beverage. Food came out very quickly. This is not the type of place where you would want to enjoy drinks and food over a period of time. However, if you are super hungry, your food will definitely get to you quickly. Restaurant was crowded, but not super loud. Overall, I would come back for the food, I just wish that I could have more time to enjoy my restaurant experience.
